This is a great bar with really interesting beers and friendly, considerate staff. There is a great range of Belgium beers on draught and bottles too catering for all tastes: fruit beers, saisons, dubbel and triples. The staff are always willing to let you try before you buy and you can get flights too if you want to taste a bit of everything. They also often have some American craft beer too.

Thoroughly enjoyed Vespers. So, so many delicious beers. Really kind staff. And just a great place. Staff will let you sample these yum Belgian (and ok, yes I got a delish Dutch bock) beers. Came to Bury St Edmund from Florida to visit the mothership of my fav beer, Old Speckled Hen - Greene Kings tour did not disappoint but Vespers is giving a nice opportunity to continue enjoying great beers (my husband is happily enjoying a Belgian sour) while we're in England that we don't get on tap in the U. S. Wishing everyone at Vespers the best

Had a spontaneous trip to Bury on the train. Firstly, imagine my delight at finding an awesome shop called Beautiful Beers. The staff member told me that they also owned a Belgian themed bar a few minutes walk away. Naturally I decided to hunt Vespers down. So glad I did. Fantastic selection of Belgian beers on tap, and another 50 or so available by the bottle. Max was a great host, and we had interesting conversations about the Belgian beer scene. If you’re not sure about Belgian beers, give this place a try. Ok, the beers are a little pricey, but it’s about quality not quantity. Really enjoyed my Carolus and Westmalle Extra. I will definitely be back.

A true gem, wish there was one in my town. The best beer around with a really knowledge owner who can match beers to your taste. You can even enjoy a beer in the courtyard with your dog.

There’s a great rotating selection on draft. Also very knowledgeable staff, and plenty of seating upstairs.

Was really looking forward to eating here, but sadly feel really let down, firstly no bottled water just filtered, started with free bread with pea hummus, just tasted of hummus to me. We ordered scallop for starter, only the one and cooked in shell so had to prise off shell to eat, great at £20 each, then mail, my wife chose the ham which was just sliced gristle and 1/4 of a pepper, I had tagine which had 4 pieces of meat and portion of rice which arrive from Lilliput! My wife’s food was so bad she could not cut into it and just left it, we shared what we could of the tagine and had to leave, we had had enough, due to the fact my wife had to rerun the food she could not eat, we only got charged 1/2 price, so after refusing the 12.5% service charge we only had to pay £95 for the privilege. Really think you can do better, happy to accept refund as to be honest I was expecting beadle to pop out!

Room looks magnificent, bed comfortable. But there's no water in the bathroom, hot or cold, there's no answer on the telephone when you call to ask them to sort it out, and there's no response to email. So disappointed that I can hardly begin to put it into words. No idea where I can go for a shower before attending a funeral this afternoon.

Lovely little cafe, welcoming staff, warm and cosy on a wet day. Only had a coffee so can't comment on the food. Dog friendly and she even got a treat.

The first encounter with staff was very abrupt and rude. We did not see any sign saying Wait to be seated . And I felt he scolded us like a child
