Verdi’s is one of the most amazing dining experiences I’ve enjoyed! Simple Italian cuisine with stunning views and simple easy to understand service. The food brilliant and the venue is perfect!

We visited Verdis to meet friends there. The location is fantastic but the prices are astronomical. I wouldn't rate the pizzas, they are like Iceland children's pizzas. £3.20 for a fizzy water. My friend had a Peroni beer 1/2 pint £4.50.

Shocking service, ordered a milkshake which was supposed to have ice cream in and costed nearly a fiver. There was definitely no ice cream in it, it was only flavoured milk. A big time rip off. The food was also overpriced for what you got.

I dont know whats happened but this place has gone downhill over recent years... Sandwiches served in moments on stale bread indicating they were pre-made some time earlier so not fresh. Outrageous price also! Food generally uninspiring, bland and over priced (even allowing for location) Coffee served tepid - so if you dont drink up quick its stone cold in minutes. I later heard some one 'in the know' order 'extra hot' coffee - surely its either hot or cold! Staff attitude leaves much to be desired...so many miserable faces dont add to the experience. The one star is well earned - for the ice cream location alone. Will I return? Highly unlikely unless for an ice cream Do I recommend the place? Yes - for an ice cream or (extra hot) coffee!

Fantastic place, food, views and atmosphere

I'm really disappointed with my cream tea, as the scone was great, jam was great but """squirty cream!!!!!!. Big nono. At £7.50 clotted cream. Otherwise, it's not cream tea. Apart from that the staff were great.

Was fine, though Italian owners would never have served a ham focaccia with ordinary ham instead of Parma ham (prosciutto). Certainly not authentic.

Absolutely scandalous prices vs what you get. Bought a Brie and grape sandwich. They must’ve cut the Brie with a scalpel at millimetre precision. Oat latte was dreadful so left it. “Coke” was flat. Wife’s Penne Arrabiatta had been nuked in the microwave. Certainly not what it used to be. Won’t be back.

Delicious icecream but, service wasn't that friendly,didn't even bother to smile at us (not sure if that is just us!) Despite the service the ice cream was fresh as advertised and had an amazing taste. Reducing one star for service, not for food.

Attitude with the girl serving me, told me to wait outside for my takeaway coffee. Gentleman called me back in and told me I’ve been over charged anyway and laughed about it. I don’t think it’s funny. Also the coffee is cold and not very nice.. £5.70!

Great food at a fantastic location. The service was really quick even though it was busy, and the tables were cleared and cleaned as soon as they were free. All of the staff were very helpful and we will definitely go again when we are in Mumbles.

Quick and polite service as always. I only had ice cream and coffee this time but food has always been very tasty here anyway. Vibe is always good whether at inside or outside seating.

My fiancé and I love to ride the motorbike down to Mumbles and have a coffee.

I must be missing something? Location is the ONLY positive factor. Everything else is abysmal. Not sure why it’s so popular? Hasn’t anyone ever eaten proper food before? Or ever been to Italy? The most expensive ham and cheese Toasty ever at almost £9. Orange squash £4. Pizza £15. Pasta £20. NONE of which is even remotely Italian. The pizza was possibly one of the worst I’ve ever had in my entire life. Ice cream is ok, but EXTREMELY overpriced. Family of 4, drinks, ice cream, pizza, sandwiches. Almost £100. You’re having a complete laugh. In Italy we would have paid around half that, and every ingredient would have been delicious. First and last time going here. Still draws in the most spectacular crowds and queues.

Recently visited I had a latte and the wife had a tea, both were very good, but what caught my eye was canolli 3 mixed for £5. These were scrumptious and brought back memories of Pompeii last year.

Went for ice cream which never fails to disappoint!

We have come here several times now and each time the food and staff have been brilliant. The pizzas are a good size and full of flavour. The cakes are wonderful.

Mi familia y yo hemos visitado regularmente Verdi’s a lo largo de los años, ya que un grupo con alergias graves y enfermedad celíaca Verdi’s siempre ha sido un “lugar seguro” para visitar. Cada vez que visitamos aclaramos que necesitamos no tener oblea en el helado y esto se cumple. Las últimas tres veces desde que Verdi’s fue absorbida por una familia diferente, nos han traído helado con una oblea, explicamos que necesitamos una nueva, y nos aseguran que reemplazan el helado. Sin embargo, ayer fueron a quitar simplemente la oblea de la mesa, y cuando les expliqué me devolvieron el helado con la oblea quitada, en lugar del helado cambiado. Ya no puedo visitar Verdi’s por riesgo de reacciones alérgicas, y aconsejaría a todos aquellos con alergias o celiacos que eviten también el Verdi’s.

Very bad place didn't cook pizza properly even as we asked three times for no cream on hot chocolate they still put it on Waste of money are severely overpriced

Fantastic place on the front at Mumbles. Came here after being told at another place near the pier that there was a 35 min.wait for chips. Had two focaccias and two beers within 10 mins of sitting down. They were lovely and well worth it. Staff were lovely too. Highly recommended

Great food Great service A bit cramped

Went with my wife and MIL. Had Alfredo tagliatelle, and carbonara. The food came out in 5 minutes before the coffee was even ready. Flavourless and unseasoned, dry old cubes of ham in it. Also found penne and spaghetti pieces iny pasta. The pasta came out Luke warm. The coffee was really good but the food was very disappointing, especially for the price.

Visited yesterday at lunch,we could tell it's the right place,because it was full,people enjoying themselves.all the staff friendly and professional and willing to help with anything.food is the real deal 👌 and a place to recommend to anyone.best restaurant in the Mumbles.

Food is very expensive £14 for a salad.. although £7 for a chicken baguette and some crisps isn’t bad for a cafe.

Nos encanta Verdis y aunque no vivimos cerca a menudo venimos los fines de semana, ya que nos encanta. Pero solo un poco de comentarios de nuestra última visita. Intentamos hacer el pedido a través del código qr pero no nos permitió personalizar (piña con queso en bocadillo tostado, sin crema en sundae) no hay problema que fui al mostrador a pedir. La chica de la caja no parecía saber lo que había en el menú. Tuve que decirle lo que es un Quattro Formaggi y explicarle que la enfermedad cardíaca era una bebida. Mi marido disfrutó de su pizza, pero mi tostada era tan delgada que desapareció en 4 bocados. También si va a rociar vinagre balsámico por favor mencione en el menú. Por último, por favor haga que su personal sonría y hable con los clientes. Sentí mucha lástima por ellos, eran tan miserables.

Excelente comida y servicio como de costumbre. Sin embargo, escaneé el pedido en el código QR de la mesa en el centro de la mesa y fui llevado a una página web que era una estafa pidiendo un pago de £ 1 que mi banco me dice que luego habría sido una suscripción regular. Afortunadamente mi banco rechazó la transacción y bloqueó mi tarjeta. Por favor, ten cuidado.

There was a young girl called Izzabel running around taking orders from everyone, she was dragged from pillar to post, food was OK, quite alot of it though. Atmosphere was really good. Loved the icecream mmmmm

I love popping in here for a coffee/ice cream when I’m walking along the beach front. Also does delicious pizza and pasta!

It always packed. So speaks for itself. Staff are lovely and work super hard. Food lovely as always.

Muy buena ubicación, buena comida con buena variedad en el menú, el servicio fue muy rápido me tomó alrededor de 5 minutos entre el pedido y la comida que está en el plato.

Surprisingly cheap prices, fast service

Good portions, family friendly (child menu which actual choices that does not include fish and chips!), has highchairs for little ones and it is not expensive at all for the experience / view you get. Very quick service as well however there was some confusion over our order (one more dish than we had ordered). The carbonara was a bit too spicy for our 4yo but the other dishes were lovely.

I had a very nice meal here. I had the Focaccia sandwich with salad, all made with quality ingredients. Was more the on pricey side but I thought the value was still good. You can sit at the table and order from there by a simple QR code (no installation required). It had views as most walls were glass sided. It was busy and popular even if the off season. Would certainly come here again.

Excellent customer service. Onsite toilets. Payable parking very close by. You have to go to the counter to order your food which is then delivered to your table. Very friendly staff. Outside eating area and ice cream shop.

¿Tarta de queso o delicia de ángel? ¡No estábamos seguros! Solíamos amar Verdis pero empeora con cada visita. Hoy probamos la pizza y el cheesecake. La pizza era delgada como papel con una capa de queso insípido y gomoso. El queescake de fresa y chocolate blanco era más como una delicia de ángel acuoso. Me gustó el deleite de ángel cuando era niño, pero no me gustaría pagar casi £ 6 por ello! Los precios de las bebidas están haciendo que Costa y similares parezcan razonables. Qué pena que Verdis haya tenido que cambiar de manos.

Lovely food as always. Super quick service (ordered at the table by scanning the code). Dirty knife was a disappointment. The addition of some sofas to add atmosphere would be a positive addition to Verdi’s I think.

Just ordered pots of tea for 3 ppl after a seaside evening stroll but the QR CODE ordering on the table meant no queues as it's *not* table service. But hey, even if it is Gallois it ain't Europe. n e way 10/10 would recommend.

Took in three generations and they quickly accommodated us. Table ordering via QR codes or order at the counter. Food came quickly and was hot.

No food just coffees, great coffee. Stars only removed on service as had to queue for table and then queue again to order. Tbf verdis was packed ,testimony to its popularity but hard to converse. Not a real criticism

I visited Verdis this afternoon for a coffee with some friends. I was met with professional yet lovely service from Freya who was extremely polite. She helped us order our drinks to our table and served us with a smile. Will definitely have to return. Thank you Freya and the team at Verdis!

Beautiful cafe in a stunning location in Mumbles, overlooking the sea. Very popular even on a cold, windy February Sunday. Expensive, but nice coffee. QR codes on tables to order online, perfect.

This is a great Italian restaurant and cafe serving delicious, authentic, unpretentious food. The service is always exemplary and the atmosphere is buzzing. Lovely location with great views across Swansea Bay. Our favourite Italian restaurant in the area.

First visit. Vast menu. Great food and very prompt service. Enjoyed garlic bread, lamb soup, pizza and milkshake. Immaculate premises and staff.

Stopped on our walk for a quick bite for lunch, great coffee , lovely vegetable soup and very quick and pleasant service. The only thing that spoilt it for me was as a dog owner I am exiled to the seating area outside where only 1 very small and highly ineffective patio heater was working. It was freezing ! I think the owners should really get upto speed with the rest of the hospitality industry and start allowing access for well behaved dogs onto the premises. This particular restaurant’s design would even allow a natural physical segregation between the dog friendly area and the rest (it’s an L shape and dog friendly could be on the left as you enter).

Verdi's is a beautiful place, the ice cream and coffee are amazing, but I would never go there to eat again. My husband had spaghetti carbonara... Why was it made with ham and cream? Where was the bacon and parmesan? It is not a traditional Italian restaurant, very shocking!

I took my elderly mother for lunch on Sunday.Ordered margarita pizza and chicken and mayonnaise sandwich. The bread on the sandwich was dry and appeared stale, however, that was nothing compared to the pizza. This was the worst pizza I have ever had. It was tin tomatoes instead of marinara source covered in rubbery cheese. There was absolutely no taste to it at all. It was like having Covid again!! I have been going to Verdis for many years and being of Italian decent new the previous owner Jo and know what a pizza should look and taste like. This was not it!! I will never go again and would advise anyone who enjoys Italian food to give it a miss.

Good food & coffee etc always the same guaranteed service. Staff always pleasant & helpful. Fully recommend.

Great Ice-Cream Shop Right On The Mumbles Seafront!! Well Worth A Visit ♡

From outside, Verdi's looked very full but we were shown to a table straight away. They have a great system, no dirty tables, as these are cleaned as soon as they are vacated, excellent service and very efficient staff. Great food and amazing coffee. Easy ordering from table or counter service.

The desserts are lovely and the place has a cosy atmosphere. However, certain food items, such as the pizzas, were very disappointing. It was basically bread with thick, tasteless, chewy cheese on top. I scraped half of it off and I had a mound of cheese and the pizza didn't look any less cheesy. I would still go back, but only for the desserts and sandwiches.

I've always had a soft spot for Verdi's since coming here as a kid. I've heard people say food in the evening isn't the best but I wouldn't come in the evening anyway. I always come in the morning/afternoon, have a nice coffee with a toastie & admire the view. If that's what you want along with a nice walk, can't beat it! - Although do note that there is works ongoing on the nice path to Swansea from here, I think these coastal defense works are finishing relatively soon though :)

Lovely food, fast and efficient service, ( from ordering to food on table a matter of minutes) polite staff food delightful, piping hot, Cappuccino served at just the right temperature, lovely view of swansea from mumbles, toilets spotlessly clean 10 out of 10

Visit this place 30th December. I had 9" pizza bowl of crisps large glass of diet pepsi. My mam had lasagne and a latte with garlic bread, the latte ended up toppling into her lasagne. A lady staff member in a burgundy blouse came to assist right away she was very apologetic and replaced the lasagne right away
