Verdi's in Swansea

I love this place. Great pizza, super fast service and you can sit outside with your dogs. Just had a great Sunday lunch there in the sunshine. Staff are really friendly and helpful.

Visited for my birthday. Having ordered and paid at the counter and the coffee’s and sundae’s having been served to us at the table, not one, but three staff came over and accused us of not paying for part of what we ordered. Somewhat embarrassing in a full venue. Little tip - try training and employing staff who can listen, understand what the order is and work out how to find out if someone has paid without resorting to harassment having served them. If you’ve got the order wrong and served, don’t then harass the customer for proof of what you’ve got wrong.

Fabulous ice cream! The cherry flavour was amazing. My great nephew and niece enjoyed bubblegum flavour...very blue!! Super view of Swansea bay too.

Went for lunch with my wife and daughter. Had a table straight away and ordered food at the counter. Good selection of baguettes, pasta and sandwiches. Food came very quickly and was as good as expected. Drinks also came quickly. Menu was reasonabley priced. Staff were pleasant and polite. Would recommend. Also had good views of Swansea Bay.

Food and service always great. My favorite it the hazlenut basket, which is totally amazing 😀 The only issue is the acoustics. It is very clattery and loud which might be difficult for some.

Be weary of Verdi’s comments if you have allergies or intolerances - I had ordered an oat milk iced late due to an intolerance to milk, but was given dairy milk. And a cake was completely forgotten from our order although understandably it was a little busy. Disappointing really as I’ve been coming here since I was a toddler. That being said the girl who dealt with this couldn’t apologise enough, she was so lovely. Atmosphere was a bit loud but what can you expect with a busy place like this, the noise echoes a lot.

I recently visited this place with high hopes, but unfortunately, my experience left much to be desired. Upon ordering two teas, two pizzas, one garlic bread, and a Peroni, I was met with disappointment at the taste and quality of the food. The garlic bread resembled nothing more than simple bread, and it was excessively hard to chew. Additionally, the teas were far from satisfactory, lacking in flavor and enjoyment. The overall atmosphere was marred by excessive noise, further detracting from the dining experience. In hindsight, I deeply regret choosing to dine at this establishment and would not recommend it to others seeking a satisfying culinary experience.

Perfect having the little takeaway section as the queue to get inside was massive. Got a very lovely cream egg ice-cream and didn't have to wait too long 😋

This is a quite a lovely little cafe. The food looked delicious but we only had drinks this first visit. There were a couple of things that held me back from giving 5 stars. As a group of 5 we had to sit on 2 separate tables as we couldnt find any bigger than for 4. When our drinks came, we had to ask for tea spoons, sugar & milk which should've really come with the order. The toilets aren't great, they're cleaned ok, but there's thick dust in the corners of the loos & doors, and grime around the silicone on sinks. They could do with a deep clean.

An excellent place to stop for coffee and cakes with a huge range of both. Views out over the bay are fantastic. Staff are friendly and welcoming and its well worth a visit - especially for the best-tasting Welsh Cakes I've had in a long time.

Italian NAME ONLY! Quick served food straight from microwave. Would give 0 stars if possible due to insult of Italian culture. Otherwise well placed near sea side. Nothing else!

Sadly the first thing we saw when walking in, was a member of staff being told off at the till. The 2 members of staff were so locked into their disagreement that they didn't notice us waiting. Once we had been noticed we ordered. Food reasonable priced and was nice. Also go back when we visit The Mumbles. Hot chocolate is delicious

Very good value for money when you compare the area, location and settings in comparison with what many other places are charging. The food is always amazing and the efficiency and service is always super speedy, with loads of staff constantly, by the time you order your food isn't far away from arriving by the time your sitting down, it's that good. Mumbles is very fortunate to have Verdis in the locations as its been there for a very long time and has always been a pleasure to go there and still is.

Very busy as it was mother's day, minimal wait for a table. Staff very friendly and helpful whilst be busy.

A vital part of our holiday to Swansea is a visit (or several) to Verdi's. Once again it has not disappointed. The service is always quick. There are always plenty of staff around who clear up quickly and are always pleasant. The food is enjoyable. The fact that you can get a small portion is good if you want to get to a sweet. The ice cream can cause a dilemma as trying to choose which flavour to try can be time consuming. Then there are the toppings.... I love the Marino cherries. As regards the cakes, well that can be just as bad. My husbands strategy is to try a different one each time. As a famous quote states " I will be back"

Bought takeaway pizzas, and they were amazing. As for the ice cream, it knocks other local parlours into a cocked hat.

Delicious Italian ice cream, beautiful spot by the sea!

Lovely visit to Verdi's via Qr. Order arrived without much delay. Hot hot chocolate was delicious. We had a Custard slice each but I honestly think we should have shared one they were so filling. Lovely atmosphere too.

2 small coffee's, 2 small pieces of cake come to £17 after paying £4.50 for parking. View is nice but not worth the cost.

Visited for just coffee to meet friends. Lovely location, hope to go back in better weather. There was plenty of room though quite busy. Only real downside was it was very noisy so we left to find somewhere quieter.

this is nice place to go for the families.

Very noisy, food mediocre, cakes were stale and dry. Order not taken down correctly so one person had to wait. However Manager dealt with our Co.plaint in a pleasant and professional manner and with a satisfactory outcome. I won't be visiting again though.

Brilliant & capacious seaside cafe at Mumbles offering a huge selection of great cakes & pastries as well as hot food. Everything is good quality and nicely presented.

Had a lovely sorbet and huge Vanilla Slice with tea and coffee here. Place was very busy. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Food looked great and a real range of dishes.

It's alright, but a bit limited for vegans and the lactose intolerant - there was just vegan vanilla ice cream, and it tasted less good than the Swedish Glace stuff you can buy in a supermarket. The sorbets are apparently not vegan - it would be easy to switch to vegan versions. The cafe on the pier just up the road had a much better selection.

Excellent place but shame we were stuck outside as it was cold yesterday . Not allowed in with Dogs.

This restaurant is more like a macdonalds of Italian restaurants. The food came very quickly and looked very unappetizing. I thought the pizza looked like a pancake. I have never seen dough like it. We had to order and pay in advance at the bar. It was so bad I would have complained and gone elsewhere if we had not already paid for it. No one came to clear our table or offer desserts. Not that we wanted any after we had eaten the main course. I would not recommend this restaurant. Very disappointing experience.

Sunny winters Saturday, so was very busy. Staff get you sat very quickly. Food service is excellent and very quick. For where it is, not a bad cost point. Can get very crowded. Often is a que to get in but is worth the wait.

I love Verdi’s - the food is perfect, the ice cream a dream and the views fantastic. There is always a great atmosphere and lots of seating.

3rd time in a row limp salad with my toasties. Luke warm coffee

Gluten free pizza was extremely disappointing, one of the poorest I've ever had. No excuse while competitors are producing GF pizzas that taste as good as the real thing

This very popular cafe restaurant on the sea front, overlooked Swansea bay with it's large glass panel windows. You order at the counter and they promptly deliver your food. Nicely presented but prefer cream tea with clotted cream. Otherwise it was very nice. Had a focaccia sandwich which was tasty. So overall a good experience here. Can park on the 1 hour restricted roadside parking or nearby carpark £2.50 per hour.

This place was so welcoming and fast service. Our food was both delicious and hot. Very good value for money and would definitely recommend. Additionally they had a fab amount of vegetarian options.

Love coming here for quick service and good food that is always consistent. Also great stop for ice cream or hot drinks and cake. Lush views, easy to park. Lovely spot for sunsets too ♥️

Stopped for an ice cream while on a brisk walk. First time trying Verdi's Ice Cream but would certainly recommend enthusiastically . It was lovely and generous in serving. Thank you we will return very soon. We are locals.

Having read others' reviews, I tried the spaghetti carbonara. And yes, it was served piled high in the bowl as described. Only it was slimey and tasteless. No parmesan was offered or 5o be found to try to lift it up flavourwise. Unfortunately, not even black Peper made it any better as it slid down, though there was plenty of tasteless meat in the dish as well trying to add some texture. My wife's spaghetti bolognese was equally tasteless and slimey, too. Bearing in mind we had been eating in, when we ordered dessert, it was served in takeaway cartons, which, to be honest, be the dampers on the whole evening. Will we be back? In one word, NEVER.

Arrived late in the evening in late December. Staff were short and unhelpful. Still 2 hours to closing so didn’t understand why. Disappointing as service in the daytime is usually so great.

Lovely location, pizza was really nice and fantastic bread with the goat cheese salad, was really impressed.

Had coffee and cake on a very frosty, busy Saturday afternoon. Staff were mainly young, very polite and efficient. Coffee was nice and hot. Reasonably priced . Would definitely return.

Unfortunately very uncomfortable chairs that been the same for years. Hard and solid metal that'd make you feel you want to leave ASAP. Additionally, they will over charge you for having Soya Milk.

Great place for lunch or coffee, cake and ice cream with panoramic views across Swansea bay. Do try the Torta Verdi, it's delicious. Staff are lovely. Service is quick and efficient. I will return again and again.

Good night out with some friends and family

The cake was gorgeous and unexpectedly very light which is appreciated. My mom loved her scone too. we had the regular tea pot which makes 2 cups and a half. Very good quality tea (I'm thinking maybe whittard ? It tasted the same). The cafe is very noisy though.

Always loved this place for the amazing soups they make and today was no different. We had a leek and potato soup with a steak and red onion sandwich, both were super tasty and so filling.

We love Verdi's. Nice pasta, pizza, coffee, cakes with a beautiful view over Swansea Bay. Always busy, but the staff are quick and the waiting times are short. Ordering is done at the till, paid up front and then served to the table. The quality of the food ranges from good to excellent. Without a doubt, the star offerings are their excellent naughty cakes. Custard slices and Rustica are exceptional. No wonder there's a good vibe here! Plenty of outside tables for those with pets.

Verdis is an institution in Swansea, known by most people for great Italian food and ice-cream. They have a very good selection of freshly made desserts... Including tiramisu that is delicious. You can order freshly made pizza and of course good coffee and hot chocolate.

One of best places in the mumbles. Views are stunning, food and deserts are v good. Service very good. Menu quite varied. Family friendly. Parking easy on main road.

Last time we were there we ordered coffee and Primaveras, we were served sandwiches with ham. As we don't eat meat we asked for what we had ordered which they did, but then I noticed they had just taken the ham off the food but had missed a few bits, not very nice if you don't eat meat.

Ordered an Oat latte , it was average tasting as if it was made in a hurry, can't blame as the place was busy and crowded. The view and the atmosphere was great and arguably one of the best in Mumbles. The atmosphere could have been better if they had a no smoking policy on the outside sitting area. They could also give out the brown sugar only if demanded and not by default to reduce wastage.

Just ordered an oat latte to enjoy by the sea. Quick service and average latte, not silky in the slightest just bubbles on top otherwise not bad. Wasn't keen on the ash trays on all the tables outside.

If you're ever in the Mumbles, then you must visit the very popular Verdi's. It can get very busy here, so you may need to be patient to get a table, but whether indoors or outdoors, you will be seated with a great outlook across Swansea Bay. The menu has a wide selection, so you will be sure to find something to your liking.

Great place for coffee and a bite to eat. Well, it's worth a visit. Try Rustica. it's awesome
