Venetia's coffee shop in Hackney

Este fue un pequeño gran hallazgo en nuestro camino a Londres. Comida inglesa con un toque de italiano y gran café. Precioso pequeño jardín cubierto en la parte posterior también. Recomendaría encarecidamente

Love this little family run cafe, has such a calming vibe to it, they have such friendly/helpful staff members who always give you the best customer service. Love there menu and the varieties they have to offer! Defo recommend!

I would like to say that I was trying to park in Hackney and eventually found a spot, however I only had two fivers, so I went into this shop and got change. Not only that but when I explained it was for parking, they said that a lot of the meters around there were phone app only and if this was the case please come back and they would put the parking on their phone app. Luckily the meter did take cash, after our meeting we went back for a lovely coffee. The staff were very helpful and I will hopefully go for more meetings with a nice coffee afterwards in this establishment

Lovely covered garden area at the rear. Service was a little slow on our visit but to be fair they were short staffed and very busy, but the staff were very pleasant. Had lovely coffee and gluten free brownie. Will return when i'm in the area again.

Mi compañero y yo visitamos aquí para nuestro desayuno, los huevos Benedict eran asquerosos. Se anunciaba con salsa holandesa y tocino que sonaba encantador. Aunque cuando llegó venía con papas fritas ovanas (¿para el desayuno?) El muffin estaba rancio y no tostado, el tocino estaba grasoso y sabía muy barato. Luego, para rematar, la salsa holandesa era en realidad crema de ensalada. Nunca había visto algo así, no es de extrañar que el lugar esté siempre muerto. Es una pena

Popped in for lunch and had the piri chicken and chips which was so tasty with a really nice kick. Probably the best chicken and chips I’ve had in a long time.

We came here after longer time and nothing has really changed. The service is very nice and friendly, sandwiches are still delicious and the place is cosy. Unfortunately the speed in their kitchen didn’t changed as well so we had to wait for 3 sandwiches around half an hour, what we wouldn’t have minded if we hadn’t come here just during our lunch break. For the future they recommended us to call in advance and order it over the phone, which can be good idea to save everyone from inconvenience.

As this is close to our work we have came here already twice, twice with different experience, but the sandwiches were always great. When we came first time we were served immediately as there was no one in front of us on the till where we ordered and then took the seats behind one of 4 tables. There were not too many people and therefore we didn't expect to wait for our sandwiches more than 30minutes!!! It meant we couldn't really enjoyed them, just eat them rapidly and run back to work. Therefore next time my colleagues asked me to go there again I was not really sure I wanted this stress for the lunch time. But luckily I came, the speed improved so much and the sandwiches were so good as last time! They have really big selection of them and therefore I'm looking forward to go back, try different one and just hope the speed in the kitchen didn't change again.

This is a fab little Hackney Gem. It was the first place on Chatsworth Rd to spring up and chart the regeneration of Homerton. The coffee is really great and they do a reward card which is a nice touch as well as a discount if you bring your own cup. The service isn't always the fastest but you can't have everything.

I enjoy going to *Venetia's for a fry up. It's not like a greasy spoon breakfast. although it does sometimes come out cold, but it's not enough of a problem to stop me coming here! The garden is lovely and has a cover, so you can even sit out there in the wind and rain. I absolutely adore this place, especially when it's quiet.

The original Chats coffee place, but how it's gone down. We sat outside in the tatty courtyard and had some pretty standard breakfast. I'm glad I didn't order a cooked breakfast. My ice coffee was pretty bad. We won't be back.

Stopped here for sandwich lunch when visiting the market. We shared a range of sandwiches, salads etc and all were delicious. Lovely breads used, filled with roasted veg and cheese or hummus. A good handful of salad served with each. Very tasty and fresh.

Possibly the worst cooked breakfast i have ever had. Bottom-grade sausages which were inedible, certainly not pork. Streaky fatty bacon - inedible. Grilled Tomatoes - average. Mushrooms - covered in oil and overcooked - inedible. Didn't want baked beans so received double portion of mushrooms. Dreadful coffee too. I really hope someone else takes this place over.........Shocking. It looked so nice and quaint from the outside!

I went into this place when it first opened, the atmosphere is really nice and they have a really nice garden at the back too. If you need a nice cup of coffee with a cupcake this is the place to go. If your hungry however step back! I ordered more than 3occasions here hoping next time its better but it got worse. Their sandwiches sound nice but are very dry!!! I had jacket potato , my potato came cold, the ingredients were cold! They took it back popped it in the microwave n gave it back to me which i wasnt happy about. My cheese and beans were all mixed and not nice, it was very dry. And purely for that reason i would not go back. Me and my partner were the only customers inside at that time and i figured if your shop is empty there are no spaces for excuses such as cold food reheated !!! And they still charged me.
