Great pub quiz, super dog friendly.

Scrumptious burgers, service, bar staff in their recently renovated garden, we’re very fortunate to have The Eagle pub as our local. Highly recommended if you’re around the area 👍🏻

Came to the Eagle for a work do, Hannah and Brett were an absolute dream, for two people to be able to work around our huge party on a Sunday was amazing, great pub, great people. Thank you so much guys!

We ate here based on the Google reviews and the recommendation of a colleague. The atmosphere and the food were, overall, good. The service was lacking however. (Our waiter apologized for letting our nachos sit for so long - the cheese on them was cold and solid. And he completely forgot our drink order - I had to show him the order on my phone so that he would bring them - and he still forgot one.) We visited several other pubs while visiting London, all of which we enjoyed more. Maybe they just had an off night...

Spent a very pleasant Good Friday afternoon/evening at The Eagle, really nice, efficient and personable staff, great beer, fantastic music. We didn't have a meal but the smoky chilli nuts were a revelation! It was our first time here* but we'll certainly be back. *Walked in once on a weekday teatime and it was full of noisy office workers so we scarpered.

Eliza was lovely, poured the best doom bar ever. 5 stars.

Were there for lunch on Sunday. It was well attended - reservations are recommended. We had the vegetarian nut roast and the chicken schnitzel, both of which were very good. The non-alcoholic IPA is also recommended.

I cam here before an event and I had such a wonderful time. The staff treated me so nicely, need to give a special mention to Brad. We popped in to experience a proper Sunday Roast while visiting London and our expectations were far exceeded! First, they saved roasts for our late 7pm arrival per our request and Brad greeted and served us in such a lovely manner….it really was just fabulous! The roast were incredible and we also enjoyed the goat cheese starter. To top off our amazing experience, they helped my Sister I celebrate Mum’s Day with a free glass of champagne! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Came in 20 mins before close had 2 drinks, very polite staff, good local pub, didnt catch any names but the man in the ponytail was very polite, good pints in cold glasses, couldn't ask for anything more. been coming here for a while the pub quiz in the week is also very funny.

Humble little pub in the heart of old street, incredible food and atmosphere. One of the best roasts we’ve had! And the staff were super friendly and kind. Glad to have found my new local pub.

First time popping in for a drink. We were unsure about the place based on outside observations but thoroughly enjoyed yourself. Great atmosphere, comfortable seating, nice layout. Staff were super friendly and the chips we ordered were delicious. Looking to come back for the quiz on Wednesdays

Great pint of guiness, and a good outdoor area

I come a couple of times a year, and it's always a pleasure. The garden space is fantastic, and it's well located. Would come here again! On a second viewing, nothing has changed. Anna was wonderful, and very accommodating - they all work extremely hard and make it easy to feel at home!

Great pub, good beer , better nachos

Gosh this was excellent. We arrived for Sunday lunch at 3:30. Two of us had beef. Am impressed that an aged sirloin was cooked both rare and to tender perfection. Seasoning on point too, the tracklements mustard and horseradish were hardly touched. Saving the best to last the gravy was an absolute cut above and a generous amount, such that my French friend enjoyed his and finished mine. Spectacular!

Solid local pub with a great quiz night on Wednesdays

We went there for a quick dinner, had some beers and we had a chicken burger, which was amazing.

Had a lovely Sunday roast here - very reasonably priced. We arrived quite early (12:15), so only a few other tables were taken - but lots of reservations for later. I had a roast beef - tasty and lots of veg, roast potatoes, Yorkshire and gravy!

Possibly the rudest member of bar staff I've ever seen. There were 2 members of staff on. A man who was really friendly and helpful and a woman who appeared to think customers were an inconvenience. No please, no thank you no interaction until I asked her to top up a short measure when I got an awful stare. Pity because it could be a good pub.

I thought the staff were incredible and really accommodating, special thank you to them. The food selection was also great, and we really appreciated having a separate space laid out for us. Thank you so much for making it such a special night!

Pub dreams! Came alone to enjoy a quiet evening meal and drink and felt super comfortable. Great cozy atmosphere, good variety on the menu, and nice service.

We didn’t have a reservation but were able to take a table right away for Sunday Roast - around 3. One of the better pub roasts I’ve had in London; great for the price point (under £20 a head). The pork belly was especially delicious and portion sizes spot on.

Great food that’s freshly prepared. Nice condiment selection! Friendly team that knows the locals. We return weekly :)

We came for lunch and enjoyed the range of lunch deals available that came with a pint. Food was excellent and bought to our table very quickly. We’ll definitely be coming back for how cheap the pints were too.

A lovely pub, with great atmosphere and nice food

We booked a table for 8 and everything was ready for us. The greeting was very warm and friendly. A couple of us were unsure what drink we wanted and tasting requests were no problem. The menu is great. Some of us wanted lighter bites and the choice was great with some very decent salads. Others wanted traditional pub grub and weren’t disappointed. The atmosphere here today has been relaxed and the music is at a level that we can all hear each other chat. A great choice for a group catch up over lunch.
