A crap shoot for food !! Great drinks & atmosphere. Do NOT recommend for food. A regular for over 10 yrs. The food offering seemed to be on the up but now seems to be on the slide on Sundays. Watching 6 nations and Sunday lunch. Had chicken roast as beef finished. Was presented with what seemed what was left of chicken. Very small leg and thigh with hardly any meat and wing with 1/4 of chicken breast. When I mentioned to the manager that very little meat from what was served his response was to say “I can’t make more meat & there’s no chicken left.”. I get that but they could have told me end of the chicken so it’s only whats left. The manager’s response wasn’t very helpful and no attempt to do anything about it like offer to replace with some else like the nut roast (not ideal but something). Table next to us also had issues with quality, cooking & temperature of their food. Lots of competition for pub food in this area especially Sunday roast so missing a trick Eagle. I will be back for drinks etc as a great pub otherwise and good beer garden in the summer !

Very nice neighborhood pub. Had a really good lunch. Fidh and chips were great, nice beer battered coating, not greasy. The pie and mashed excellent. The server was super friendly and the food was hot and fresh. Would definitely recommend

Popped in by chance on a quiet Thursday afternoon. Nice feel to the pub, polite and friendly service from Brad behind the bar. I was surprised to see a previous less favourable food review (but pleased to see a polite response from the owner) - we had chicken Schnitzel and 3 veggie bar snacks. All were really good, particularly the bar snacks and dips which were delicious and generous. Will definitely go back next time we're around there.

Amazing place, staff and food was delicious!

A little disappointed. Nice place, great atmosphere, but this is what happened: We booked for the Sunday roast. We arrive and get our table, order a pint of beer and another pint of cider. The cider was completely flat, no fizz, dreadful. Okay, this happens, the menu looks amazing and the description of the old beef roast increases my appetite. We wait for someone to take our order for the roast. No one shows up. After 20 minutes I decide to go to the bar to order. The very kind waitress seems a bit embarrassed, and tells me the chef didn’t show up, or something like that, and there’s only one guy in the kitchen today. Food can’t be prepared for another 30 to 40 minutes. So I ask, by what time will the food be cooked and ready for us? “Probably another 40 minutes, but I really don’t know”. The waitress was very polite and professional, but we had to leave as we couldn’t wait that long for the food. Hopefully we’ll be able to go next time we visit London (from Paris). (Modified review)

Very cool pub! The vegetarian bratwursts with gravy were fantastic, the falafel burger was also delicious, but the fries were a bit bland and unsalted. Prices are very expensive as is typical in the CoL.

A classical pub experience. Food wise I would say we did get a 7/10, it fulfilled expectations to a pub, it was hot, quick and it was nicely displayed and it all tasted well. Sauces and stuff was like more simple than in a restaurant. The Shareabels & beer were good. Service was also good but not great. Overall I would recommend it to everyone for a pub experience

Our visit was really good. We came for our work 3 course xmas dinner and everything was perfect! Food was good, service was perfectly timed and we really liked that the waiter knew whose food was whose and got to know our names. We were given a great table and there was a nice atmosphere. Would defo recommend :) Thanks!

Very enjoyable food and drink. Staff great and friendly. Became a little too crowded later in the evening but not an issue as we were leaving.

We hosted our work Christmas meal at the pub and it was a great success! We were a very big group (36) and the team were extremely helpful in organising this, with a very easy pre-order system. On the night, they took great care of us, offering welcome proseccos for all the guests and constantly checking in on us. The food was very good value for money (we got the 3 course festive meal) and everyone seemed pleased with the quality. I would really recommend this for anyone looking for an Xmas meal around Hoxton !

A fabulous pub, just the spot for a lunchtime drinks and superb food. The pie, mash and veg 🤘....we had a great laugh with superb bar staff. My customers really enjoyed the afternoon.

We popped in for a quick pint. Ended up with a number of pints and bar food. Excellent decision made by all. Top class environment. Made to feel very welcome. 2 Brits, 2 Bulgarians and a Romanian popped into a bar…. Sounds like beginning of a mad joke, but it was the most pleasant of afternoons.

Very average dining experience at the Eagle - we ordered the roast beef and it came out looking amazing however the veggies were undercooked and barely warm. The meat was “ok” but definitely not what we were expecting for a roast meal in a London pub with positive reviews. We enjoyed our drinks, the atmosphere and the service was good. Would not return.

The atmosphere and location are nice, but it was really overpriced for what it was. The salad itself lacked a good dressing/balsamic to tie it together. The food also took quite a while considering it wasn't at all busy, and the serving was lackluster. The outdoor area was nice and so was my drink!
