Vegan Antics in Gravesham

I’m dairy intolerant so it was nice to go somewhere where I can order anything from the menu. The pumpkin spiced late was the best coffee I’ve ever had! The “cheese” they use is really nice. I’ve tried a few brands of non dairy cheese and there’s very few that are nice. The cakes were amazing, when me and my husband go to a cake shop I have the choice of getting nothing or suffering later for eating something with dairy. It was so nice to know I could choose anything and not regret it later. The girl serving was very friendly and the service was quick. I’m not vegan, I eat meat but not dairy, however I’m happy to eat meat alternatives and so is my husband so we enjoyed it but it may be harder to convince my friends to come along with me. Unfortunately a lot of people are put off by the word vegan and there are no non vegan options. It’s a shame I didn’t go in sooner but I will definitely return! Would highly recommend.

Been coming to vegan antics for over 5 years, the food is always very impressive and the staff are just the best. One of the best vegan lunch places in kent. ps your new swiss rolls are a game changer, don’t get rid of those anytime soon!

I'm not a vegan, hell I'm not even vegetarian but that doesn't mean you can't eat vegan food and I do enjoy eating v/vg food regularly so my review is from the viewpoint of someone that simply looks at this type of food as, 'is it objectively good?' rather than comparing it to meat alternatives because frankly you can get two drastically different pork sausage rolls so comparing vegan to meat is the wrong way to look at things imo. I've been to Vegan Antics three times and tried their cupcakes, biscuit slices, sausage rolls, pasties, paninis and jacket potatoes. I have to say that I have broadly enjoyed everything that I've tried from there. The tuna mayo jacket potato the first time really was excellent both in terms of flavour and texture and the pasties are soft, flaky and comforting. The biscuit slices were really good and the only items we were indifferent about were the cupcakes where the sponge had a slightly unusual flavour to it but this could be a one off and we'll certainly try them again. I do plan on trying their other offerings such as the freakshakes and hot dog so I will update my review but overall I think it's a great cafe offering excellent vegan food. Slightly marked down on service as whilst the staff are lovely and informative, it was quite a wait for my food despite pre-ordering but it looked like that might be down do the capacity of the equipment as opposed to anything else.

We've bought from these guys a few times, both in Gravesend and via Deliveroo. Their hot dog with mustard, 'bacon' bits and jalapeños is to die for. But my review was prompted by my ordering their vegan 'chocaholic' hot brownie. Without a doubt THE best brownie I have EVER tasted, bar none. If you're vegan, you're in Gravesend and you have a sweet tooth, go there. I promise you: you will not regret it.

I was so excited to find a vegan cafe in Gravesend. I am intolerant to wheat and dairy so find it hard to find good baked goods. I brought a GF/DF chocolate brownie and it was so horrible I had a few bites and threw it away. It wasn't cooked on the bottom half, it was stuck to the plate and had a horrible constancy. I've never written a bad review before but felt I had too! It was inedible. A few people in my family tried it and agreed. I'm hoping this is a one-off as there are so many good reviews on here!

We had a highly skilled COVID19 takeaway experience here today. We called in en route and had perfectly packed delicious vegan food handed over at the ping of card payment - all socially distanced of course. Remember there’s also just eat and deliveroo if you’re in need of your vegan antics hit. Giant personalised cookies and cakes for birthdays are still available too

Wow! We ordered a 6 inch , double layer coffee cake and it was delicious . We will be back for more !

Been going to vegan antics since they opened and have never had a problem. staff are always friendly and food is always great. Always order my birthday cakes from here as well and they’ve been amazing. So nice to have vegan businesses locally

We had cake from here for a Vegan friends birthday which was fantastic. So when it was my wife’s birthday (veggie) I went to order her a cake. Unfortunately they needed a weeks notice so I bought 12 cup cakes instead. Stunning and the family loved them. Even me, the ultimate carnivore. Beware, not open Mondays and don’t open till 11am on Saturdays.

Finally, I got to come here! Fab little ferry journey from Tilbury... then amazing cupcakes, plus the ‘tuna’ sandwich was absolutely delicious!!! Pleasant young lady in the shop too! Please, please, please, open a shop in Southend!!!!

Not vegan, had cupcake here and some coconut cappuccino, would have never known cupcake was vegan. Was supe4 delish and cappuccino was different but i liked it. Yum

I came here with my girlfriend and it is such a lovely cafe, it’s just off the high street so it’s so nice and peaceful. The food is amazing and the drinks are so tasty. Would highly recommend!

Told the kids we were going to a cupcake cafe and when we arrived, they pulled a face and said, “It’s vegan!” - I told them to have an open mind and after having cupcakes and a cookie they said they were delicious! I’ve only been vegan a few months so still trying new things - it was hard to decide from this extensive menu! Opted for an egg sandwich and I don’t know how they did it but it was amazing. Also bought a sausage roll for later on in the day but had to have a bit while I was there! Excellent prices - the only shame is the lack of seating especially as it was raining so we couldn’t sit outside but luckily it was quiet. We will be back!!! Bought a cake to take home to my vegan friend who demolished it in about 20 seconds - she thought it was amazing too!

I stopped here for a quick sweet bite half way towards London and so glad I did!! My only regret was not leaving enough room for more food! I brought some cupcakes up to my friends in London who were amazed by the taste and quality. Thank you so much!!

This little gem is local to me and I absolutely love it. The food is always high quality, the cakes are amazing and the staff are patient, friendly and welcoming. Try a brookie, they are so so good!

I love it here and I've become quite the regular. It's my favourite place to, go the food is always so amazing and the drinks too. The girls who work there are absolutely lovely and so friendly. Whatever you fancy, they'll have something for it.

Day trip to Gravesend, had a latte and some rocky road! Both were very nice will certainly visit again if I find myself back in the area.

I have used this bakery several times, they are wonderful and deliver by post. Round us we don’t really have anything like this so i was so happy qhen i found vegan antics.

I often visit Vegan Antics when I’m back in Kent and I absolutely love it! Their sweet treats are always delicious and the selection is just amazing 😋 Definitely would recommend for those with a sweet tooth!

My husband and I came today for a Rhubarb and Custard cake and ended up eating a delicious vegan bacon and cheese panini, an “gg” salad sandwich and two banana and Oreo milkshakes. It was absolutely delightful, we loved every bit of it and the staff are really friendly. The shop had a nice vintage vibe and the cakes are as delicious as they look on the window display. DEFINITELY getting a birthday cake for my husband’s birthday next month.

Popped by for a hot chocolate with marshmallows, a joy if you're a lifelong veggie.

went to vegan antics with my boyfriend and daughter after my birthday cake was made there. We have now become regulars. The hot food is awesome and such a good selection and we always get cake to go! Couldn’t recommend it enough!

Cannot believe the taste of these cakes! After travelling Thailand with some of my now best friends.. we reunited for one of their birthdays. Her being vegan, we had to try and get something sorted for her. I was planning to make my own cake until someone from work recommended VA. I am so glad they did.

As a vegan, I struggle eating in places, and forget about desserts. These little place is a gem in Gravesend and sells amazing cakes, coffee and food. If you are looking for something delicious and good looking, this is the place for you.

I have been twice now first time I did take away as I had vegan friends over who were highly impressed and the second time today with my family. What an amazing little place! We had a maple pecan cupcake, lemon raspberry cupcake and a blonde. All were super-tasty, by far the best I’ve ever had!

I absolutely LOVE this little cafe, it's adorable!! The staff are so so lovely, such honeys! They have a stamp card that means that get a free coffee when buying your 10th one. Take your family and get those stamps in! It's fab for brunch, coffee break or just a cheeky snack. Also you need to try their blondies, they are something else!!!

Nice and clean surfaces, good to take kids to, friendly and the treats are great, can't believe that Ricky road brownie was vegan.

I was working local and couldn’t help but pop in to grab a box of there gorgeous cupcakes and mint chocolate milkshake love the products that they do. I find the staff very friendly and helpful can’t wait to visit on Saturday with my little girl.

I have been to Vegan Antics a few times and each time I am not disappointed. Always such lovely staff and delicious food. Given I am not a Vegan myself I can say it is still amazing and you cannot tell a difference. 100% my first choice of bakery to go. Not only do they do sweet treats they also do everything to suit your savoury needs!

My fantastic tray bakes for my birthday! One red velvet and one lemon. Very tasty, everyone thought so. Lovely young couple running this brilliant business. Even though I'm not vegan their coffees with oat or soya milk are delicious. Always go there when in Gravesend for coffee and cake fix! See you soon!

Ordered a 6" Round Double Layer Chocolate Cake it was that good that we have since ordered others. I have also had amazing cakes with in the shop yum yum! Highly recommend and small children friendly.

Tried Vegan Antics for the first time in July 2018. Although it is small we managed to get an inside seat. We had coffee and cakes which were delicious. I would recommend to anyone visiting Gravesend.

I've ordered cupcakes twice from here and both times they have arrived in immaculate condition and on date requested. The cakes are delicious and I only wish I lived nearer so I could visit the shop myself.

Lots of delicious cakes to choose from, staff was so friendly and helpful! Perfect for vegans or people with food allergies, though I would say it really is for anyone with a sweet tooth because it was simply impossible to tell what we had were "free from" treats!

I hate having a dairy intolerance as I can’t eat the usual treats but this place is a saviour! The girl who serves me is always so polite to me and really kind. They have delicious cupcakes and their Irish cream milkshake is to die for! I’ll keep coming back!

Vegan Antics sell delicious food that I think everyone will enjoy, not just vegans. I've had their paninis, cupcakes and sandwiches and it's all fantastic. And not a chickpea or a falafal in sight! They use tasty meat and cheese alternatives in their savory meals and dairy alternatives in their cakes and coffee. Staff are really friendly too and prices are fair. Highly recommended!

I am personally not vegan, but I come only here for my cakes as they are amazing! Highly recommend the chocolate cupcake with orange icing 😍 also the rocky road is perfection and very reasonable pricing!

Just visited for the first time for cupcakes and a sandwich. The service is excellent, the cakes and sandwiches were amazing. It was the best cupcake I have ever had and I'm not vegan! Wish it was closer so I could visit everyday!

I went with my mum for lunch in March. The cafe is small, but don't let that deceive you! Everything in their cafe is vegan and the food doesn't taste any worse for it. Their paninis and wraps have a vegan meat of the chef's own design, it tastes so realistic, it's scary!

The most delicious vegan treats around! This is such a rare little gem, a fully vegan cafe offering the most amazing cookies, brownies, cakes, paninis, nachos, milkshakes, coffees! Staff are kind and I can't wait to come back :) you must visit, vegan or not, as it is simply lovely here!

I had an oreo milkshake and black forest brownie and they were both so nice! Honestly one of the nicest milkshakes I’ve had and you couldn’t even tell the difference from one that wasn’t vegan! Would definitely visit again

Vegan Antics is by far the best place to sit in Gravesend. Me and Piglet are often visiting here and staff always accommodate piglet with a water bowl. Great staff, amazing food! What more could you want. Couldn’t recommend this place enough! 🌱

I got a Christmas ciabatta and it was hands down the tastiest vegan Christmas sandwich I've ever had. Really phenomenal. The sausage rolls were decent too. The quality of the food really surprised me and if I worked nearby I'd probably get lunch here every day. Excellent work.

Wandering around the heritage area of Gravesend we were fancying a hot drink and a cake, when we spotted Vegan Antics. What a lovely friendly place, and what a gorgeous display of vegan goodies! We both had the best mince pie ever, filled to the brim with juicy fruits, the pastry was crisp and perfectly crunchy. My only sadness is that the last (amazing looking) chocolate brownie was sold just before we had a chance to order it. But never mind, we'll be back!

Very rarely visit Gravesend but this has now started to be more of a regular thing. being intolerant to wheat and diary I find it so hard to find nice cakes and produce in supermarkets or locally. This has become a life saver I can now have sweet treats I even took my partner who isn’t vegan and doesn’t have any allergens. he absolutely loved it. He said the paninis was great and the rocky road. I tend to go for a cupcake and a oat milk hot chocolate. even if you don’t fancy a cake or panini their coffees, teas milkshakes and hot chocolates are to die for. we need more VEGAN ANTICS.

Specifically came to gravesend to go here for lunch and it did not disappoint. Unfortunately got there quite late so not a lot of savoury options left but everything is tried was delicious so will definitely be back to try more.

A relative of nine ordered some cupcakes online, I happened to try two of the cup cakes, one being the chocolate and the other salted caramel. They had a lovely taste and were sweet and the presentation was fantastic. I will definitely be visiting the shop to see what else they offer

Beautifully decorated cupcakes will catch your eye as you approach, but hold off until you get inside and check out the carefully selected array of savoury and sweet bites and snacks on and in the counter chiller. Match any of these with a hot drink (I like the oat milk latte) or fruit smoothie and you have a lunch break or afternoon tea made in heaven! The staff are super friendly and welcoming. The decor is clean, fresh and modern with a handful of seats if you have the time to relax. The food is good enough to satisfy 'omnis' (my mum reckons the sausage rolls are the best she's ever had!), veggies, and vegans. They even have a few gluten free options. And, yes, it is all vegan as the sign says. A true delight!

This bakery is fantastic. I visit every time I am in Gravesend (which has been increased due to the opening of Vegan Antics). The milkshakes, cakes and sweet treats are delicious. The paninis are super filling and big enough to share - not that I want to. The staff are super accommodating and friendly too.

I am fussy when it comes to sweet treats and am almost always disappointed with vegan options .... However, Vegan Antics delivered in every area! We had a chocolate flapjack, rainbow cupcake, rocky road and millionaire shortbread and they were all delicious! My non-vegan family also said they tasted great!

popped in for brunch, tea, and cake. The vegan breakfast panini was tasty, the tea was decent, and the cake was really lovely. The prices were very reasonable too.

Popped in earlier today to try some vegan treats.... bought a variety of cakes - the candyfloss cupcake tastes amazing! As does the chocolate flapjack. I have yet to taste the others (blueberry, vanilla cakes, chocolate brownie and millionaires shortbread) but I'm sure they're just as good. Great customer service too, the man that served me was really friendly. Will definitely be back!

Happily this little cake shop opened where I live & my husband & I have been going there regularly ever since.

I had ordered cakes from Vegan Antics previously and had no idea they had opened a shop until I spotted it whilst getting my nails done!

Cakes are divine and makes you believe that they are not quite so bad for you! Lovely helpful staff, nothing is too much trouble. Well worth a visit, you will be hooked!

I've bought cakes from the owner before she opened her bakery. They have always been consistently great flavours and of course vegan friendly. Today was my first day of visiting the bakery and I was amazed at how polished and modern it is. The selection of baked goods is huge and the paninis are both incredible value and an amazing flavour. The coffee's good too. So pleased this place has popped up and within 50 feet of the 'Market' car park too. No excuses for not visiting… whether vegan or not, you'll love the food on offer.

Great little place, super friendly staff and the food was delicious. I had the BBQ Chick'n Wrap and a Oreo brownie with a Chai Latte. Great variety of sweet & savoury.

First came to vegan antics when they opened on the high street and was not disappointed. I've been a regular customer since and really enjoy everything I've tried so far. The paninis, croissants and sausage rolls are lovely if you're not looking for a sugar fix. The rocky road is always a favourite, especially the Oreo one!! After the closure of Fortify in Maidstone last year it was great timing for Vegan Antics to open and my mum treated me to a red velvet cake for my birthday which was incredible. I will be ordering cake for my partners birthday and also my mum, because she has straight up asked me to. Subtle ;)

Came here after Panic Room. Nice and friendly. Vegan girlfriend very happy. She basically bought the whole place! Also very clean which is important! And free wifi. Good for vegan couples and small groups in particular. They also do vegan wedding cakes.

Tasty hot food and the best cakes around. My little one loves a treat from here once in a while as do I when I'm in the area. I'd recommend everyone to try Vegan antics, it's nicely tucked away near the market and the staff are so welcoming you'd be glad you went in.

I've been here a few times for the odd treat and I enjoy myself every time. Myself and my mum had hot paninis which were delicious and oozing with vegan cheese and/or sausages. I couldn't help but buy some cupcakes to take away - 4 for £8 - as a treat for over the weekend. Lovely staff who are happy to help answer questions!

Vegan antics is a great addition to gravesend and it's awesome to see an all vegan bakery that isn't in central London. The staff are absolutely lovely I've visited 3 times now and every time I have been so pleasantly surprised with the politness and chattiness of the staff they are so helpful and delightful to talk to. The baked goods are out of this world by far the best vegan treats I've had and i have made my way through practically every vegan bakery in London. They have so many unique flavours I have seen elsewhere such as candy floss and Smores cupcakes. They have a large selection on non dairy milks and paninis making it perfect for those with allergies. Couldn't recommend this place more!

Came here after visiting the Borough Market, just a short walk away down the old high street. Staff were very welcoming, so helpful. Small place and there was only one table with two chairs left, they brought one of the stools over so we could all sit together.

Two of my kids are allergic to egg and dairy, which is a bit of a nightmare when it comes to find them cakes and puddings they can eat (and actually taste nice!). Thankfully we now have Vegan Antics and they have an array of cupcakes and other treats to choose from! The cakes are really tasty, moist and just taste like a normal cake.

Amazing paninis, strong coffee, incredible vegan cakes and baked goods. The cherry Bakewell is absolutely unbelievable. Easily the best thing about all of Gravesend.

I first came across Vegan Antics online when I was searching for cupcakes for my daughter's birthday. They were beautiful and tasted delicious. We have visited the bakery several times since it opened. There's always something different to tempt you, and I always buy more than I went in for.

These cakes are delicious,you wouldn't even guess they were vegan and also an amazing array of of other goodies to choose from such as milkshakes,waffles,extra!Such a great atmosphere with lovely genuine staff and swift service,the perfect place to go for a morning coffee or bite to eat.love it!!!!

I have recently visited Vegan Antics twice. Both times we have walked away happy. The selection on offer is varied and wide. All beautifully presented and taste just as good. The location perfect in the town centre. And Perfect to take the little people down there for a treat and yourself either for eating in or taking away. All offered products are made on site. Worth repetitive visits. Must be tried by all!

Great modern little vegan bakery selling lots of lovely treats. It's in a really good location of Gravesend with parking just across the street. The food is always amazing on our visits and the staff are really friendly. So glad this little bakery is here.

Vegan antics is a lovely little bakery down the high street in Gravesend. Really good location as close to the shops, market and the prom. It's located right next to the market car park as well which is handy.

I have been Vegan for almost 4 years now and have never come across such an amazing place to indulge without the risk of cross-contamination with eggs/dairy etc! I especially love their ice cream milkshakes (Bananas is my fave) and all the sweet bakery goods they offer. If you have a savoury tooth then you won't be disappointed as they sell some great tasting paninis too! Thank you for opening up in Kent!
