Vardo Restaurant in Kensington and Chelsea

Nice location, easy for a stop while shopping at King's Road. We sat at the bar, service was good. Overall nice, but not really exceptional.

Steak was awful, no taste, nothing. This place’s food has never been good unfortunately, they are in a good spot so they survive.

Lovely place. Seating inside and out dogs are only allowed outside. Nice food, clean unisex toilets 🚻 Nice fluffy mats on the chairs 💺 outside o great for the dogs lying on the cold 🥶 floor. Interesting things on the menu and Nice nicer to eat there for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. It is located in a fabulous place in Chelsea with a fun vibe around town. A must visit while there is Partridges esp if your a tourist. It's on the same lines as Jollys or like its own little Harrods. A fun place to visit 😊 nice atmosphere but could do with some outside heating, which wasn't offered if there was any. I would return if in the area, so it must of been nice. Thank you for a pleasant visit. I enjoyed trying the little lamb sausages.

Everyone were so lovely and taken care of us from the moment we arrived. Food was delicious and I cannot decide which one was my favourite one as I loved all of it. The suggested sauces for the pizza crust were absolutely spot on and I'm a fan now. Big shout out to the team there, we had another fantastic evening.

I absolutely LOVE Vardo Chelsea ❤️‍🔥 come here for my “Turkish eggs” breakfast quite often and the chef never failed to deliver the BEST quality food! All people who work there are always friendly and very cute! Overall, summer outside or winter inside Vardo is one of my fav places in Chelsea, thank you, guys!! 💞

A nice place but the service was pretty amateur - not bad, but more like it's done by inexperienced kids. Seated then no one came to be our waiter for ages, until we flagged someone down (not particularly easy as the people wandering about aimlessly were avoiding looking at that customers, not just us!) Had different people serving each time and they all had a fairly clueless vibe except for one more senior person, and even she whipped away some of our dishes before we'd both finished. Then a new guy eventually came to take our dessert order but acted like we'd just arrived (plus he checked our allergies even though the initial server hadn't). It's not the specific points, more the amateur vibe throughout. On the more positive side, the food was tasty and original flavours (although I'd say it was only fair value given the portions and underwhelming service)

The food here is delicious, especially the Tiramisu, and the service is always exceptional. I come here regularly and the staff are always incredible personable, especially Rochelle who served me today.

The dining experience was amazing and the food too was so good will definitely be going back there soon! The staff were very welcoming and friendly whilst taking orders and the quick service too was really good! I’d like to personally thank the lovely staff member who looked after us today, Chelle, she was always smiling and was really helpful! She was the cherry on top of our great experience with yourselves she’s a star!!!

A pesar del hermoso lugar, el servicio, el personal y las bebidas eran pobres. Tuvimos que esperar siglos para pedir nuestras bebidas que resultaron ser promedio. Luego tuvimos que pedir cortésmente la factura 3 veces y todavía no se nos trajo. El personal parecía tan tranquilo y tenía una mala actitud. No volverá.

We visited Vardo with a friend for a quick coffee. Unfortunately the staff take ages to attend your table and take your order. Following that, we ordered 2 drinks and a Tiramisu. All three items arrived at separate times but most annoyingly all three items took ages to arrive. When our order did arrive. Drinks tasted nice and tiramisu was delicious. It’s sad that the service lets this place down.

Beautiful place, yummilicious food, lovely people...made my day with my daughter special in every way! Plus...the sun shone!!

The food is very good! Not amazing but very good. We had the poached egg with yogurt which has a chilli oil and it was very spicy. I love spicy food but it was a little bit too spicy. The golden milk was good but too sweet, it had a little bit too much honey with a friend also agreed it was too sweet. Overall is a nice place with ok to good food for me.

No espere una cálida bienvenida! Ni una sonrisa a la vista. El personal aquí actúa como si quisiera estar literalmente en cualquier otro lugar. La comida está bien y la ubicación es genial, pero hay muchos lugares cercanos que quieren que estés allí, Vardo no.

Siraj and Tahera were very polite and gave a really good and welcoming customer service.

Had to ask for someone to take our order, 30 minutes later we were still without coffees, we had to chase the waitress again to be told they’d lost our order, we then said we didn’t have time for the food and could we just have our coffees, 15 minutes later we were still without drinks and left. What a waste of 45 minutes, very disappointing to say the least.

Rochelle was so lovely, was an amazing experience and will definitely be coming back soon!

Modern interior with a lovely alfresco area facing the square and gardens, enjoyed brekkie there. Recommend the baked eggs, cornbread, and poached eggs with whipped yoghurt. Generous portions and good coffee.

We (3 of us) had breakfast there this morning, we made a booking for 9:30am The service was very pleasant, we were served by Toby, he was extremely helpful and a polite, with a nice sence of humour with smiles. A very good service and delicious breakfast.

Beautiful cafe/restaurant design but some items ordered were not available. What We did try was quite tasty, with good quality coffee too. We were hoping to enjoy the rooftop garden above the restaurant but apparently it's closed to the public for the rest of the year!

Lovely restaurant to go to on a sunny day! My waitress Helen was excellent! Will be back soon.

Out and about around Chelsea, ooh how posh! 😆 What can I say, life is good (mostly). 😌 Vardo stands out, built in the middle of the Duke of York Square without any surrounding infrastructures by its side. Beautiful interiors as well, with touches of lush plantation and its sleek yet homey textures & furnishing with an earthy color palette. Very relaxing and lively. Good food too. Impressive dressing on the oysters, 🦪 it was tangy, balanced - not too acidic and succulent. The onglet steak was cooked perfectly and splattered with tahini, scattered with onions - all atop a flatbread made from scratch. 🥩

Attiré par la terrasse, je m'installe et commande deux œufs pochés et des champignons : arrivent deux minuscules œufs posés sur une fine tranche de pain beurré et 4 champignons, sans une feuille de salade, une demi tomate cerise ou même un brin de persil, le tout pour £ 14.29... A éviter.

Love the ambiance!! Awful service !!! They bring you the good without napkins and cutlery. Ask for a drink and wait a hour. the bathrooms are always stinky and you can never flash them !! I find them so unclean .. such a shame as it is a lovely place

Good morning, I'll take a minute to explain my vote. The place is very nice. But there is little flexibility because we arrived at the time when breakfast ends but lunch has not yet started. We ordered wine and a bloody mary but would have liked something to eat together next. Anything was fine. I asked if we could have some chips or olives but you don't have them. Or I asked for eggs or anything so as not to drink without eating. In reality it was not possible because in that space where breakfast ends and lunch has not yet started it is not possible to have any type of food, even simple ones. In my opinion it would take a bit of flexibility and maybe look for leftovers from breakfast or make an egg scramble or toast or have some chips. Also because if you drink a bloody mary or wine you want a little accompaniment. The place is very pleasant. But this is just my impression. Thank you.

The whole place reeked of cigarettes, I was given water with GUM in it!!! Waitress started giving me attitude and saying “I can’t go back in time to help you”. Toilets were full of poo stains and the whole restaurant was full of scooters!! NOT CHILD FRIENDLY!

Nice open air resistant with a patio staff was helping full with a few questions we had drinks were and the pizza were delicious the smoke salad was very good.

The food is just not up to a foodie quality standard. It was bland and would not recommend eating here if you’re into tasty food. We had the pizzas and you’re better off walking a few more meters to a proper Italian place down the road. I gave the Caravan group another try after a disappointing experience in Fitzrovia (had salad bowls there) and I am still disappointed after so many Instagram recommendations.

The place is beautiful, spacious, with indoor and outdoor seating, the service is excellent, the coffee is good, breakfast, especially the egg dishes, is frankly ordinary, the pancakes are delicious, and the most delicious is the toppings that come with it, including cream, syrup, sugar, and jam, which taste perfect. We ordered them on the side alone. ♿️

Ladies..careful with some of the male staff they've brought in..big guy with dreadlocks going off on one when two ladies went to sit down at an empty table..totally unprovoked, far too aggressive..I heard him just laying into them.. turns out another female member of staff was sitting them at the table anyway... really don't see staff in this postcode that aggressive.. then...he tried to touch the woman after the female staff managed to get it through to him she WAS sitting them at the table and back off..the lady pulled away from him and told him' Stop touching me !" I told my daughters &friends to try and avoid service by that one person. The food is always great here, and I'm always here as its my local and chilled sophisticated vibe

Lots of hustle and bustle, incredible looking roof garden but shut. Nice cocktails and good food. Had 2 pizzas to round off a great explore of the art trail and visit to the market right by the Saatchi galery

Very bad waiters services, the Waiters slow to get the order, also waiters doent wear a uninform or at least put name badge , hard to recognize the workers , waiters doesn't have any human sense even not smile to the customer, waiters destroy good dishes by their reactions, also I call one of the worker he doesn't care and move to his way without any response, really very bad services, waiters and workers needs to modify their behavior. All dishes were fantastic except the flatwhite cold and they reheat it.

My recent experience at Vardo Chelsea restaurant was highly disappointing. The service was shockingly disorganized – my dining companion was served their meal while I waited an eternity for mine to arrive, leaving us awkwardly staring at each other. When the food finally did appear, we were left without utensils to eat with, forcing us to request them, which took another frustrating wait. Adding insult to injury, they offered us a complementary drink and trying to get a simple glass of wine turned into a 15-minute ordeal of trying to flag down a server who seemed more interested in chatting than attending to customers. Overall, the lack of coordination and attentiveness made what should have been a pleasant meal into a frustrating and forgettable experience.

This is one of those places that produce dishes that look great but taste ordinary. Each ingredient seems fresh but collectively as an entree, they all came up short. But service was great and it is a great place for people watching.
