Vanilla Fudge Sandwich Shop in Manchester

Tasty food, but agree with rest of reviews re. overcharging, also, there was a staple in my food! Luckily I didn't swallow it, but Jesus!

Excellent affordable freshly made sandwich, served by well presented happy staff. It seems the premises are used after hours as a takeaway. I have just used the (independent) sandwich shop and it was very good. Sandwich Shop opening hours are: M-F 06:30 to 15:00

Pretty good filled roll / sandwich shop. Identical to Shirley's. BLT or chicken club is nice and in a barm. Turns into a kebab shop at night.

Definitely not worth it for £8. It’s cold, they didn’t bother to heat the naan bread. The meat portions are too small. I won’t be going back.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE! I asked for cheese and chips (£3.20 on the menu) - they charged me £4.00. I have a stutter and it was late on, so I can only assume it’s because they thought I was drunk. (The cheese and chips were mediocre at best, 3/6). Again, AVOID THIS PLACE

Took advantage of me being drunk. asked for chips and garlic mayo, charged me for chips and garlic bread but didnt show me the card reader so didnt know what i was paying for. was surprised when presented with the garlic bread i didn’t ask for, thought it was a kind gesture but then realised I was charged for if and didn’t know. very upset.

The ladies in this business are amazing! Very polite, very welcoming and very helpful. I usually go here once a week for breakfast, I get a Gorilla Filler, this has two Sausgae, two Bacon, two Egg and three pieces of Toast (you can have it on a barm as well), comes with a choice of sauce and is always made to perfection! Never once has it been wrong in any way! Their lunches are to die for as well! You have to give them ago!

Been coming here for a few years. It's a nice family run shop, the staff are always polite n helpful. It's a good stop for a quick lunch.

Love the team here. Make really good sandwiches, salads, pizzas, chips etc… always busy. A great cafe.

Stopped by this place after a gig. Ordered a 12 inch margarita advertised at £8, the guy who served my wife thought she was drunk and setup card machine for £12. She questioned him and he amended this which I hate. How many people get conned. Pizza was horrendous. Base dry and stale. Where is the pride in your food. Will never go back.

This what a pleasant surprise. I ate here multiple times throughout my stay in Manchester in July and August and the food was delicious and the staff was so courteous that they even learned my name. I will definitely come back next time I’m in Manchester!

Pizza from a frozen shop and put in a box worst pizza Iv ever eaten half frozen avoid at all costs terrible. Tesco frozen pizza would do better

Avoid at all cost. Took my partner and her friend in on our way home, asked clearly for 4 separate items (2 cheese pizzas, 1 plain donner meat in a box and chips cheese and donner in a box). Received a cheese pizza, a donner pizza and chips and donner. Asked the staff member with long hair to change it, he raised his voice point, blank refused and then tried to charge us for the order again. He then threw slurs at me about where I’m from followed by hypocritically accusing me of being racist (nothing mentioned pertaining to race in the slightest). 0/10 service, never been treated that poorly by such a negligent, poor mannered and inept person in my life. Good luck with your business, I’m sure you’ll need it if that’s how you treat customers, especially when you’re in the wrong.

Pizza was literally the worst thing I’ve ever had in my mouth

It is so funny that people are actually complaining about what they get around 5 am in the morning. Complaining about waiting times when they are being told by staff that they need to wait up to 10 minutes for their pizza as pizza needs to get cooked! Clearly say large chips whilst regular chips is £3 and large chips in a large tray which is nearly 2.5 x more, is just £5! Mostly people are thinking because they are drunk the staff are trying to rip them off whilst they order their own food in the shop.Donor and chips is £6 but they want sauce, naan, salad and more meat for the same price. But still show us just an example of a person being overcharged! There is none!. As a person who attends the shop regularly I totally disagree with the other guy

Just tried to charge me £5 for a portion of plain fries because they thought that I’d had too much to drink. The menu price is £3. Literally just robbing people that come out of the bar next door. Disgusting service for really naff, greasy “food”. AVOID.

40 minutes for an incorrect burger and what appeared to be a frozen garlic bread, worst takeaway ever

Had my first visit to Vanillae Fudge Cafe, Sandwich Bar & Takeaway and was very impressed. Nice clean fresh interior, friendly and helpful staff and the kebab was great. Fully Recommend!

Really good wraps although all taste the same.

Perfect place to land after a good night out. Everything is really fresh and tasty and their mixed kebab with fries is a great finale to a night out with your mates.

I think this is a good little place with good food. I always go for the special which is very nice. 2 fatijas for £4.50... can't go wrong. Good place to visit when you are in your lunch break in Manchester deansgate area.

I thought Philpotts were mean with their fillings but this place takes the prize for the meanest fillings ever. Steak and onions my backside. 1 tiny sliver of beef, a few mushrooms to pad it out and look like steak and a few onions. 1 side of the roll had sod all in and the other side had the tiny portion of filling. Cheaper but tight as anything.

Awful staff, try to take advantage of people who’ve been drinking. They tried to overcharge for what was ordered then missed something off the order and when confronted said i was wrong and ignored me. Food was cold and poor quality for the price

Discrimination. Take advantage of people they feel are intoxicated. Lie to promote food they haven’t sold (i.e. pretend they are serving a limited menu). Don’t take responsibility for their wrong doings. Pretend they serve a limited menu, when in fact they don’t. Racism? Or, manipulation to force the consumer to buy leftover food? We asked for certain items on the menu. We were then told they could only make us pizza. Person comes in next us, orders almost the identical of our original order. Order put through, I asked why I was treat with differential treatment. Ignored.

A nice little shop serving fresh food, to take away. Bacon, eggs sausages on barms. Full breakfasts etc: and plenty more. Really close to salford Central Station and new bailey.

Only ever had the wraps from here but they are very good, it's £4 for a double wrap and they are a decent size with plenty of filling.

Fantastic jacket potato with excellent portion size. They must be genetically modified! I recommend this to all my colleagues, including and especially Lesley Gregory.

They cancelled our order because we were in the way of a delivery??? We were not told where we should stand to wait for our order and not aware standing against the wall was in the way.... spend your money elsewhere. Horrible and rude staff... do not recommend at all!!!!

Really enjoy the daytime food served here. The wrap special is a particular favourite, definitely a guilty pleasure.

Cool little cafe. Orderd breakfast here a few times and its quite good and reasonably priced. Staff are really friendly and service is fast. Located in a busy part of manchester people come here often. Usually gets busy in the mornings.

I love this place. You can eat in or take away in the morning noon and night. Friendly atmosphere from the customer facing staff. They are always accommodating to big brekfast orders from the office and do have a delivery service if required. There is a good variety of brekfast, lunch and also a kebab shop in the evening. The turn around time at lunch is very quick considering how busy it does get. He food is fresh and very tasty and finally reasonably priced for the centre of town.

I've been here several times and have never been disappointed. They make handmade sandwiches, wraps and salads - they taste great and cost less than major city centre retailers such as M&S. The daily specials are particularly great value and the staff don't skimp on the portions. However portion sizes tend to differ depending on which staff member serves you. My last lunch was a Cajun chicken salad box and it was great! Staff are very friendly and service is pretty quick even on weekday lunchtimes. Overall a great little independent sandwich shop.

ABSOLUTELY SHOCKING!!!!! if i could give 0 stars i would. Went in to there last night and ordered hot wings and chips supposed to be £5. Checked my bank this morning amd they had charged me £15! Anyone going in whose been out fpr a drink be careful these are as they muat be robbing men and women daily. When confronted calmly on the phone the man got on the defensive and was calling mw girl and was very angry. Avoid like the plague!

Terrible food and service, the chicken was purple and was like someone had dipped it in glue and rolled it in gravel. The chips were from McDonald’s at about 11am earlier today

Good little café that serves halal chicken

AVIOD AT ALL COSTS! Very judgement and once the owner says you are wrong you are escourted out of the place for no reason. They also called charged me when I asked for a refund. Then got 'muscle' to move me and my friends away. Mafia style. Ironic when it's the only night I was sober during December. Worse type of takeaway! If they haven't conned you they will went you go!

This is my daily lunch favourite. From exotic wraps, big salads and weekly specials, it's a great little cafe. Decent price, and big portions - definitely worth a look.

Very good. They have a special wrap each week and they are always very good. Highly recommend.

I'd highly recommend the weekly special wrap (usually some form of spicy chicken) which is served at lunchtime. You get a lot for your money (two wraps bursting with fillings) and they are delicious. Plenty of other wraps and sandwiches to choose from too. Add to that quick, friendly service and you've got a great place to grab a tasty lunch from. If you're near Bridge Street give them a try.
