On the lower floor of the hotel so we went in as just back from the football and didn't want to go wandering about looking for anything else. Good choice of menu with decent portion sizes and very well priced and an actual chilled bottle of beer.

no bar service you need to go next door and bring it back, ordered a Gammon steak but only half of one arrived, terrible, I can see why it is quiet in there

As we were going to a concert we wanted to eat early so opted for this restaurant. The waitress was pleasant and took our order promptly. We both had just one course of pasta, which in both cases was plentiful and tasty.

We were staying at The Britannia and wanted somewhere easy to eat. It was a bit tricky to find from within the hotel, having to walk through what looked like a disused nightclub. Staff were friendly but there seemed to be only one waiter. We had pizzas which were topped very generously. The restaurant did lack atmosphere so I definitely wouldn't go out of my way to go there again. But if I was staying at The Britannia again I would choose The Overstuffed Pizza for convenience and good pizzas.

A "cracking" little restaurant as part of the Britannia Country House Hotel complex. Caters for most tastes, English, Spanish, Italian and a Child or small snack menu. We ate pastas and as the name of the restaurant implies, more than ample helpings, best lasagne that I have ever tasted. Nothing was too much trouble to the Head waiter only too willing to enhance our eating experience with added little extra touches to compliment our meal. The evening made up for the experience the previous evening at a restaurant north of the city...nuff sed !

I was a bit hesitant to go in here since the place was totally empty. However, I was pleasantly surprised. I had a chicken and pepperoni pizza which was fab, lots of cheese and a little crispy, just as I like it! We also had chips and breaded mushrooms as a side and I wouldn't rate them, but it's a pizza place so what do you expect.

Went down around 10pm on Monday evening. No one else in the restaurant but waitresses was very nice and welcoming. Ordered penne bolognase and the beef burger. Just before our food came out they realised they had made spaghetti by mistake. Was no problem and when it came it was a massive portion and was beautiful. Onion rings were well presented to and a lovely side dish of parmesan. Unfortunately my husband did not like his burger but wouldn't say anything so that's his own fault but it really didn't look appealing like boiled burgers perhaps. Waitress was very attentive and checked on us brilliantly. Had the gateaux for dessert which was nice and well presented. Would visit again for the pasta but not the burgers.

We were three persons ordering two pizzas and one pasta bolognese. It was quite cheap and the taste thereafter. The pizza had way to much cheese on it. The pizza was not crispy at all, and was tasteless. The pasta bolognese was camed out pretty cold and this was also tasteless. The service was pretty bad. The wine was cheap but already opened before it camed to the table. The waitresses didn't ask if the food was good or not and didn't seem to care. Will not come back here.

This was a very handy restaurant to use whilst we stayed in Manchester visiting our son. When we visited we were the first customers in,the woman server seemed a bit rushed and appeared to be covering the other restaurant on site. The actual room design/decor' was a bit dated, then again this has no real impact upon the enjoyment of the meal We ordered our meals and were delighted with our selection my son and I had pizzas which were freshly made and well covered with our selected toppings,my wife had a jacket potato also well topped. Others started to arrive, putting more pressure on the lone lady server, but she seemed to cope very well and was attentive and friendly. We could not eat all of our pizzas so we were given pizza boxes so my son could take the uneaten pizza home. We all thought the food was tasty and well prepared. I would eat here again if I was staying at the Brittannia Hotel. The restaurant is also open for "walk in" customers and is not just for residents, there's much more on the menu than just pizzas if you are looking for Italian food.

Average Pizzas and some pasta - I had a gammon steak which was OK. Service was swift and polite. Bright lights - not ideal for a first date.

I ate here while staying at the Britannia Hotel, of which this is a part. The pizza was OK, but the overall ambience of the restaurant is a bit dingy and gloomy - I wouldn't have eaten here if it hadn't been just a lift ride from my room. And trying to pay by credit card was a painful experience due to the lack of mobile phone signal - the waitress had to stand in the corridor waving the card reader above her head for five minutes to get it to work. A little investment in better equipment wouldn't go amiss.

Had to go here as a voucher for Pizza and Beer was included as part of a Groupon Deal. Place was empty at 8:00 pm and no atmosphere. Dated decor from 1960's. Pizza a bit rock hard and obviously some cheap catering pizza over heated up.Just acceptable as part of a deal but I wouldn't spend my money going here.Staff sociable enough.

We visited this restaurant during the week. Only one other table was occupied. Although the waitress was pleasant, the pizzas we were served were the worst we had ever seen let alone been served in a restaurant! The base was soggy and doughy, uncooked to say the least. It was inedible. When offered an alternative, I could not eat anything. My friend ordered a lasagne to replace the pizza. It too was inedible and had to be returned to the kitchen. The duty manager dealt with the situation in the kitchen. We were not charged for the food but, based on our experience, we could never recommend the restaurant to anyone!

On arriving we were told it could take up to 45 mins to get our food, we were not in a rush so thought ok no probs have a drink, 1 and a half hours and 3 beers later our starter arrived, and before we had finished that our main meals arrived, I had Lasagna which was very heavy mostly cheese i could only eat half of it. My wife wanted carbonara, as she has a cheese allergy, if you don't put it on top its not there, so she went for spag bol only to be told that also had cheese on it, not if you don't put it on top, she ended up with chicken burger no cheese. The young waitress was running round like mad and put a shift in but that is the best I can say.

Hot and fresh, served quickly. Thin crust, decent enough topping. No more enjoyable than a supermarket pizza though.

Waited 30 mins for a pizza where the dough was half raw and overloaded with greasy toppings. The waiter wondered off to seat another customer mid me complaining to him and took 12 mins to return (the whole time I had the barely touched pizza on the other side of the table making it obvious I was no longer eating)...There were 4 other customers in the restaurant - not exactly busy. Table near the kitchen door meant I could here the chefs foul attitude and language to accompany it making for an awkward and unpleasant environment to eat in. Needless to say I didn't get charged after complaining but would recommend anywhere else in Manchester.

Went to the Overstuffed Pizzeria in the Britannia Hotel and wished we hadn't. It was a busy Pride / bank holiday weekend but even so when we ordered bruchetta we were told there was none left!!!! It's bread and tomatoes basically, what's not to have? We had garlic bread (same type of bread!) which was ok apart from half of it was burnt black. The pizzas were very doughy and not particularly nice and both of us left at least half. Would never go back.

Currently waiting an hour for my order when the website said 20- 30 minute wait time , so i called the store just to make sure they weren’t lost or anything ( wasn’t even a big order btw ) and lady on the phone was rude and just snapped back that it will still be another 15 minutes - no apology or anything! We will see if the food even bloody turns up at this point! My daughter is hungry and i have to explain that i have no idea when the food or if it will show up! 😭 Hope it’s worth the wait LOL!

I recently visited Freddy's Chicken & Pizza and had a delightful experience that I'd love to share. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and friendly welcome. The atmosphere was casual yet inviting, making it a perfect spot for a relaxed meal with friends or family. **Food Quality:** The highlight of the visit was, of course, the food. The chicken was perfectly cooked—crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, bursting with flavor. The pizza was equally impressive, with a perfect crust and a generous amount of toppings. I particularly enjoyed the BBQ chicken pizza, which was a delightful fusion of savory and smoky flavors. **Service:** The staff at Freddy’s were exceptional. They were attentive and ensured that our orders were served promptly. They also took the time to check in on us to make sure everything was to our liking. **Cleanliness & Ambience:** The restaurant was clean and well-maintained, providing a comfortable dining environment. The decor was modern yet cozy, which added to the overall dining experience. **Value for Money:** Considering the generous portions and the quality of the food, I found the prices to be very reasonable. It's a great place to enjoy a hearty meal without breaking the bank. **Overall:** I highly recommend Freddy's Chicken & Pizza to anyone looking for delicious, satisfying meals in a welcoming setting. Whether you’re craving crispy chicken or a tasty pizza, this place has it all. I will definitely be returning soon!
