Vachan in Sunderland

Tried a few times generally decent food except the chicken is awful and lets the place down. Same issue with previously named Vuchan. Two better Indians in SR3.

I have gone here for years it’s always very nice I usually have the jalfrezi or balti with plain rice and a well done garlic naan bread The starters are always very nice too

Terrible food and worse customer service never again will I order another meal from there I would not recommend this place at all

Meal for 2 £19.50 with delivery. 5 courses each! The special kebab for starter was amazeballs and the dopiaza best we've had in sunderland.

Ordered from Vachan for the first time and got it delivered. Driver was very courteous. Food was delicious. Will definitely order again.

We use this takeaway regularly and I can’t complain. My daughter really enjoys an Indian so we often share a takeaway every couple of weeks, we have tried a few local ones but always seem to come back to Vachan. The service is always good on the telephone, so from a first impression they’re always polite and friendly. Food is always good and always consistent, plus it’s always delivered on time, we never seem to wait long. I also must add that the delivery driver is also very friendly driver and extremely polite. Overall very good food and consistently good service too ! 👍😊👍😊

Best Indian food I have ever had! Delicious hot food, staff are always top notch! I recommend their Chicken Kashmiri (my favourite) and Chicken Madras. Will definitely order again and again 👍🏻

What a fab meal. We had the Sunday special which was 5courses each. Loads of great flavoursome food for less than £20.a great meal at bargain price.

Tried quite a few Indians in Sunderland including this one several years ago. Tonight’s was the best I have had and would fully recommend.

This is or was my go to Indian takeaway. However last few times standards have dropped massively. I hate to complain and usually give places a few chances. However, this is the first negative review I've felt I had to post. I Ordered a Sunday night special. Delivery driver only had 5 pound change out of a 20 pound note. A meal that should have only been a tenner ended up costing 15 quid. Ok not too bad I can live with an honest mistake. However, carton of tikka masala was only 3/4 full (and that being generous), and wasn't very tasty at all (tasted like it had been cooked a while ago and heated up. The chips were quite obviously old and not fresh and the keema nan was somehow very wet and sloppy. The best bit was the rice. I will be taking my money elsewhere for the foreseeable.

We have used this takeaway for many years now. Our last few meals have been disappointing. Wrong food sent - not hot We will be looking else where in the future.

Great Indian take away, always great quality and well priced. located in Farringdon not far from me and not had a bad meal from them.

This place does a great deal on Thursdays and Sundays which we often take advantage of. Always lovely food and never have been disappointed. Easy enough to call and order and will even have your food ready for a set time later in evening if you call in advance.

Only place I will go for Indian food perfect every time. Staff very helpful never had any problems at all and used them years

Called order in and it arrived within 30mins. Piping hot, lovely bhajis, chicken jalfrezi, garlic rice and chips and a garlic naan. This has to be the best Indian takeaway I have had. Would definitely recommend and will be ordering again.

My wife and I had been out for the day and were quite near home when we decided to have a takeaway rather than cook. We just happened to drive past this indian and decided to stop and order a meal. We were not disappointed,...

Había sido tan larga ya que habíamos intentado esta comida para llevar. Estamos siempre preparados para regresar y tener otra mirada en lo que está en oferta. Mi esposa les buscó y leer que habían ganado premios. Así que, ¿por qué no intentarlo de nuevo.

Lots of people have being talking to me about this place, So thought we would give it ago. Man on the phone was really polite and he even explained what was in the dish we were ordering. food was Restaurant Quality. Will defiantly be ordering from here again :-)

Ordered two Sunday night 5-course meals for family and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. Vachan were very accommodating as we asked to replace a few of the side dishes for alternative equally priced items to suit our family's tastebuds. The quality and taste was brilliant and, unlike some other takeaways who reduce the size of the portions on a 'special' menu, the portion sizes were very good. Staff are very friendly/polite. Service is very good. I would recommend a visit.

We got a set meal 3 and it was amazing. Quick, generous and extremely authentic. Excellent service too; dead friendly. One of the best Indian takeaways in Sunderland by a long shot.

Vachan Indian takeaway ticks all the boxes! polite when taking your order and prompt delivery within the time scale given. the food is excellent, tasty and sufficient to quell your appetite, we have tried others but havebeen disappointed so we shan't bother again!

This has to be the best Indian takeaway in Sunderland! You get a starter, main course, rice, side dish and popadom for £8.95 on Thursdays and Sundays. There is lots of choice and the food quality is fantastic. We find there is enough in the special to feed the two of us!It is best to order by phone as they get really busy. Food orders can take around 45 mins to an hour when the specials are on. Order from Vachan and you won't be disappointed!

First time for a few years I've had a meal from Vachan, and it was better than ever. Top quality and value; delicious freshly cooked meals with good ingredients, cannot be faulted. By far the best Indian takeaway in the area.

We have used this takeaway half a dozen times now and the food has always been top quality - as good as we have eaten anywhere. The delivery service is very efficient and prompt and well worth the charge

Been using Vachan for a while now after a friend told me about it.....gotta say its the best Indian takeaway...Great value on the Thursday and Sunday special...Will go nowhere else now....

Use this place a lot, especially on the specials night where you get a cracking deal for less than £9. Regular visitor with work colleagues, easy ring in order and collect before work.
