Upfront, catering for Gluten-free. Marvellous tastes, no cheap ingredients, cooked to perfection (Stanley Tucci would be proud)! Warm, sunny, cheery welcome; staff very attentive. Neither too hot nor cool, pleasant atmosphere. Certainly look forward to repeat visits on many a future occasion!

This is the first time we have dined at Cena, but it won't be the last. We gad one starter between us, which was a really good portion. We both really enjoyed our pasta dishes; one of octopus and one sea food, with what we think was homemade pasta. Because of our business, I pay great attention to the service provided, and both waiters/owners who served us were great, striking the right tone not just with us, but with other guests too.

Really nice italilian restaurant on the high street with parking on the road nearby. Tasty food, very friendly, helpful staff and nicely decorated, feeling cosy. Tuesday night was 2 pizzas for the price of one (though pizzas weren't available that particular night, so they did 2 pastas for 1). Lovely liquer coffee to finish!

Great pizza and nice atmosphere..

My partner & I had such an amazing experience here at Cena. The food was perfectly cooked and tasted amazing. I would definitely recommend the fillet steak and short ribs!! Will definitely be visiting again soon!!

Fantastic food. Had the beef short rib with seasonal veg side. The beef was melt in the mouth soft. Kids had pizzas and loved them, said they were very fresh. Staff were very polite and welcoming. Only thing was service between courses was a touch slow. Would definitely eat here again though!

Tony is a wonderful host. The food is great and the £20 Wednesday deal is such a steal.

Lovely Italian restaurant tucked away in Ringwood’s town centre. Tony and his team were very attentive, service was fast and most of all the food is delicious. Will definitely be returning!

So my family and I had a small holiday down in the new forest. We came to this restaurant on a small whim as my darling wife had done some research on gluten-free food restaurants in the area (she has the gluten problems with her tummy). Anyway the restaurant itself is located in a lovely little village not more than 10 minutes from the holiday park we were staying at. The parking was alright as we found a space pretty quick. It wasn't outside the restaurant but just down the road, and it was free. We didn't have to pay, which was a plus once inside the restaurant the staff were very friendly and happy to accommodate as there were 8 of us and we foolishly didn't make a reservation. Once sat down, the service was excellent, and the restaurant really was a little slice of Italy. The staff provided excellent service, and the food was fresh and well served. The wife was very pleased as she had a GF pasta option to have with her chicken dish. All in all I would recommend if you are possibly staying at forest edge hoseasons holiday park.

Amazing food most authentic Italian food I've had, staff ate friendly and welcoming , amazing service from the lovely waitress. Great experience on our travels we went there two nights in a row . Place is child friendly ( i have 18 month old twins in a side by side buggy ) with easy ramped access via the outdoor eating area . Fantastic 10/10

Changed from V and GS to Cena But last I went it was great. Xmas music was tasteful as was the meal. V and Gs pizza is meaty and delicious. Very tasty Penne arrabbiata was great and a tomatoey (loved the spelling on the menus) Prowns were also lovely, spices were great. Dessert and coffee were nice, the sauses were lovely. Traditonal Italian food. Coffee was perhaps the best I've had in a while. Breakfeast and peperment tea too. Very pleasent. Great service and very quick with drinks and food. Overall very happy and would very much come back.

Lovely restaurant combining great food, first class service and a nice atmosphere. Outside seating option too. Pasta was cooked to perfection and very tasty. The children's menu was also top quality with freshly made chicken nuggets. Garlic bread presented in a way not seen before but certainly tasty. Very much recommended

We arrived at the restaurant at 5.30 on Father’s Day, very welcoming nice atmosphere. Music was a delight. Our evening was excellent.we all had 3 courses. The steaks octopus lasagna were cooked just as we asked. I only wish it was nearer to where we live . There were five of us .and to our delight there were round tables .

The go to place in Hampshire recently refurbished to a high standard Cena Italian never disappoints. Very friendly staff and management.. Great Food always on point great wine selection If your undecided what you want to eat try the Home made Pizza in the Garden with a few glasses of Bubbly Highly Recommend!!!!

A very enjoyable evening and we were all made very welcome. The kids pizza are massive. however, I asked for Carbonara and was advised it will be Tagnatelle but when it arrived it was Penne and for the price it was more like a starter portion. My wife had the Pork Loin, the dish was delicious but there was no vegetables or salad. just sauce and mushrooms As said it was very nice evening with great staff but the cost was eye-wateringly expensive.

This place is absolutely Fantastic I cannot write how amazing this restaurant truly is, the staff are so attentive but let you enjoy your meal, they all know everything on the menu, our waitress even makes the tirimasu!!! The food is phenomenal, delicious and homemade!! The sign on the wall is perfect for the restaurant "come hungry, leave happy!!" Thank you guys we will be back!!

Excellent quality food, friendly and accommodating staff (it was nice to actually be served for a change, rather than having to order through an app) and a lovely calming environment. It has a more formal atmosphere than your average Italian restaurant; a little higher on price, but good quality on the food.

The sea bass I had was delicious. Unfortunately the pizza we thought we ordered came as a Potato Pizza not the Artichoke Pizza, ( lost in translation!!!). The potato pizza was very disappointing but my partner didn’t like to complain as he didn’t want to make a fuss. Really a Potato Pizza???? But the staff were friendly. It would be great if you did a seafood pizza, and or also a mushroom risotto.

Went for dinner with the family tonight lovely meal as usual hadn’t been for a while since it’s been renovated and it’s beautiful inside such a lovely ambience and the food was 1st class staff so lovely worth every penny kids loved their food we will be back soon. New dishes on the menu and everything tastes amazing simple dishes with flavour above and beyond amazing chefs in kitchen and always a welcoming owner that gives the time to chat and make you feel so welcomed. Best Italian we’ve been to.

It was new year dinner. Foid was terrible . Cold meat and chips for which we paid £70 per head. Make my complaint clear . Never going again.

Had a lovely meal here with 5 of us. We were able to preorder our meals which cut down on the waiting time. The food was delicious and served by friendly welcoming staff. The restaurant was adorned in attractive Christmas decorations. A very nice evening. Would definitely go again 🙂

We enjoyed a work celebration here on 7th September. Despite being quite busy they catered to our large group excellently. The good was very very good, and the portions were generous. We would highly recommend this restaurant and will likely return!

Decent food but I felt it (the lasagna) was overpriced for how good it was and for the size.

Lovely pizza nice service and good atmosphere. Just thought that stopping serving meals at 9 p.m. it's a bit early but it seemed to be the way that all restaurants in the area were doing I don't know why it's way too early to stop serving dinner.

Wow, what a gem. We went without reading any reviews and we weren't disappointed. The food was delicious, decent portions and prices good considering the quality and quantity. We will definitely visit again the next time we are in the vicinity.

Wandering around Ringwood early Sunday evening V&G kindly allowed us in without a booking. Food and service was superb! Brushetta,Lasgne, Spaghetti Bolognese, Tiramisu dessert and Strawberry Ice cream with some alcohol, perfect for us and saved our evening as there wasn't many places serving food? Highly recommend, perhaps unlike us maybe book first .

Reasonably priced Italian. Great pizza and great pasta, what else to say? Wine also was great so all worked out well. You can dine here for below £20 per person easily.

The service and they way we were treated was excellent. However, we felt the food was a little bit of a let down.

Fantastic service and atmosphere. The food was excellent. A++ for chairs - solid, wooden and comfortable. Personally, I wouldn't mind a more extensive offer of Italian beers.

I just came for a coffee. The flat white was delicious and served in a lovely cup along with a small chocolate. The place looks hospitable and cozy. Because the weather was beautiful, I chose a place on the terrace. A very nice gentleman served me very quickly and was very friendly to me and other guests. Really nice 😊

Went here for dinner first impressions outside with the flames a sophisticated Italian. But inside no. The lighting too cold, paint and decor bland. Food wasn't cheap. I had the Speck pasta which was a carbonara with little sauce and flavour. For £17.90! Our Lasagne was really poor and tasteless. Service was nice and friendly but food and atmosphere poor. Charging £18 for a medium bowl of pasta it needs to be good, this wasn't. Shame!

I have tried to get into here a few times and we finally managed to tonight. The service was okay when we finally got our table. We were told they were really busy but the restaurant wasn’t full. The drinks are very expensive at £4.50 for half a larger. The Menu was very limited which left you thinking it would be very good with less options. The salmon ravioli looked completely different to the picture the sauce was a different colour and undercooked not just al dente. The pizza said spicy salami but the whole pizza was covered in chilli and slightly burnt, which made it ridiculously spicy and couldn’t be finished. Such a shame for such a wait to eat here. They did remove the cost of the pizza but no apology was made. We won’t be returning unfortunately.

We dined on a Saturday night, so the place was busy and buzzing! Still, the food was great and the service outstanding! I can definitely recommend their calamari starter and the hot pizza. The house white wine was highly rated by my fiancee too!

Having looked online at the menu for the Italian, I was happy with the verity of vegetarian dishes. However when I sat down and was handed the menu it was half the size. I was told that they had only recently changed it. So because it was now very limited I got up and walked out! So my tip, check the details before you commit.

We had a lovely romantic meal out

We were really looking forward to our visit here on Saturday night whilst spending a few days in the area, mainly due to the reviews. The restaurant was quite busy and we were shown to our seats then told actually this had been reserved by someone else, so we're shown to another table. Orders were taken but none of our waiting staff engaged in anything more than 'can I take your orders' - no conversation or smile. Also, this is the only Italian restaurant I have ever been to that does not have specials of the day. The food came out promptly and hot but that is probably the best I can say about the starters and mains - all extremely bland and lacked finishing touches, which was a shame (2 of the pasta mains tasted the same despite being different orders). Perhaps we just frequented on an off night or perhaps we are just lucky to have fantastic Italian restaurants near us - unfortunately we left disappointed.

Fantastic place to eat. Service was excellent, food was excellent. Highly recommend this venue and we have already booked a family celebration meal here for August.

We've been looking for a 'go to' Italian restaurant since moving to the area a few years ago and finally found it. Excellent authentic food, good atmosphere and attentative team. Would highly recommend and definitely be back in the new year.

Lovely Italian restaurant situated in Ringwood Town. Nice atmosphere, lovely decor, pleasant staff and tasty food. We decided upon the lasagna which was very nice and plentiful, with a nice glass of wine. Worth visiting.

We were staying in the New Forest and our host mentioned this place, a twenty minute drive away. We decided to skip lunch and head over for the first sitting, at 5:30 on a Thursday evening. Unsurprisingly, we were the first people in, but we were warmly welcomed and given a table in the window to people watch. We'd had a look at the menu online, so we knew what to expect, and ordered a couple of starters to share - pan fried tiger prawns in a white wine, garlic and chilli sauce, and V&G's homemade spicy Italian sausage. Both were lovely. We'd asked for recommendations and found that there were a couple of fish specials that sounded good. I decided to try one of those (the cod with Parma ham, tomatoes, garlic and chilli) while my wife went for the spag Bol (always a good test of an authentic Italian). Both were excellent, and went well with the classy Pinot Blush we'd chosen. Would definitely recommend.

For good food well presented this is the place for you in Ringwood. Very pleasant staff Billy a one off at V&G s Grammo cooks to perfection.

Enjoyed a 3 course lunch very much. Will return. Prawn starter with avocado was a particular delight, as was a steak, with a lovely sauce.

Great starters, absolutely fantastic tbh. Mains were average. They were very busy but service was good. We ordered profiteroles which never appeared. Were charged for a pineapple juice which they didn’t have in stock?

Food was good for 3 out of 4 of our party. I can appreciate that it was difficult for the staff to get back into this service . But I had to remind a waitress for my chips to go with my meal, which came when I was halfway through my mains . My wife wanted no chilli in her pasta and it came with chilli !!! They offered to replace it but that would be another 20 mins. I then asked for a glass twice to the waitress so I could have a drop of wine . In the end I went to the bar and asked for one . There was a big party of approx 20 guest and it seamed all of the waiting staff were busy with them moving tables and chairs around . So all in all ,not a totally satisfied eve. The V& G did remove from the bill the pasta dish that my wife could not eat. Will try again sometime in the distance future .

Great Food and service. We sat in the outside eating area, and it was lovely. The goat's cheese starter was especially good.

Very good friendly and good food

Convenient place with lots of parking nearby, generally good food although lacking inspiration (incl. the appearance of the restaurant). The beetroot with the goats cheese was even bitter / clearly past its best. I was looking for a place with Vegan options, but other than leaving out certain ingredients the choice was very limited with no dedicated Vegan menu. Reading the positive reviews I really was trying to like V&Gs, but overall, quite pricey for what it was. There are better Italian dining options nearby (although sadly part of a chain). I'd go there again but after the current visit, V&Gs wouldn't be my first choice.

Billy did an amazing job of looking after us and our wedding guests on Wednesday 14th July. Nothing was too much trouble, the food and drinks were fantastic and he made our special day that much more special, so “thank you Billy”, we will definitely be back again sometime soon!

Lovely restaurant. The pasta dishes, the mafia pizza and the chips are really nice. The drinks are a little expensive, but overall I’d recommend it if you’re in the area. The outside seating area was also very nice.
