To all unsuspecting would be customers, add an hour to the time the website advises for your delivery! It doesn’t tell you this but it’s true, an hour to cook apparently, get some snacks in just in case!

Really really long delivery time, such a shame. Ordered a set meal for 4, ( we do pick extravagant choices), it was Thursday so we thought it would be quiet. When I phoned to order I was told 45mins ( usually it’s realistically at least 60 minutes, and we were more than ok with this, however it took 2 hours, a couple of stressed calls to find out what was happening?. But when the food arrived it was delicious, probably the best yet and we are really loyal customers, hence 4 stars. But a word of advice to the owners if it’s busy and going to take longer than normal let people know so they can make an informed purchase and manage expectations!!!! The quality and taste is fantastic, it’s a real shame it took so long to deliver. But 4 stars because delicious, excellent value for money, by far the tastiest take away in urmston.

First let me say that the food here is great. It does great vegetarian options and is one of the only places locally to do a wide range of curries with paneer. However, they take far too long to deliver and have done this too many times for it to be excusable. Tonight, a Wednesday night I placed and order at 17.05, 5 minutes after they opened, the system said it would be 75 minutes. Food eventually arrived at 6.40. I have young kids and it throws out everyone’s bedtime. Sorry, I’d love to keep ordering the delicious food but delivery is too unreliable.

Friday really would have liked a good takeaway, so sorry we bothered, I ordered the Machley tikka it was dry, it was a small portion but as it was a starter no problem, it was 3 small pieces of fish with 2 large bones in. My main was King Prawn Samber, it took me a while to make out that I had the dish I had ordered as the grizzly knarled rubbery prawns were hard to identify. The sauce was too hot and it could have fitted into a container half the size as there was much too much sauce. The Chana Dhal was unflavored and bland. The Paratha was stodgy and heavy. I could go on, and all this for just under £40. Like the title says one to avoid. Ordered on the phone was given a time but still had to wait 40 minutes.

Starters were decent but mains were special.tou can tell straight away that mor care goes into the curry than other places. Spent 30 odd quid collected but didn't get my bottle of drink free (not the sort of person to ask) but I will be back.

Ordered tikka and pasanda both tasted pretty much the same, chicken portions were generous but dry. Pasanda also has glacier cherry’s in very odd if you ask me. Onion bhajis fairly standard but too greasy.

I have passed this establishment on a regular basis and never been really tempted to go in, however, this very evening (31/01/20) on the way home with my wife Eileen at around 18.30 hrs, we were feeling peckish and said as were both hungry that why not give this place a try, well I believe that it has turned out to be the best decision that I have made today as the food was simply stunning, we both settled for vegetable curries along with rice and Peshwari nan. My choice of curry was the Urmston Curry House Vegetable Delight, whilst my wife Eileen settled for A Goan Vegetable curry. I cannot praise the quality of the food and the service high enough. I am just annoyed with myself for not having discovered this jewel in the crown of a take away sooner, however now that I have discovered it i wish to share my good fortune with one and all. The Urmston Curry house is to be found at 83 Stretford Road Urmston. Tel. 0161-748-1333. Tell them the man with the red beard told them.

Bought 3 Kababs, got home no Pitta bread, no Salad just 3 tubs of Bright Red meat that I could still taste the next day. Phoned them up and was told that’s what you get, horrible red coloured meat. Absolutely appalling, please eat somewhere else and avoid indigestion and monty zoomers revenge

UKH as we know in our household has become somewhat of a regular local, good food and reliable service it’s a no brainier especially when they go out of there way to tweak the curries to suit our style. Would highly recommend!

Having both acquired a rather nasty bout of food poisoning from another takeaway it was many years till we chanced our arms again! We picked the Kurry House after getting a menu through the door. They do a meal deal, where for £20 you can pick two starters, two mains, a portion of rice, a nan bread and pappudams. We tend to order another portion of rice. There are some exclusions to the offer namely king prawns (& something else that I can't remember-sorry!) Vegetarians are very well catered for, with a good and interesting range in both starters and mains. There is also an offer of a free bottle of pop with orders over £20. Delivery is free within a three mile radius for orders over ten pounds. So. The food, well it was lovely. The poppadoms freshly cooked, the starters, a paneer dish and a crisp onion bahija. Hubby had the Lachinder vegetables and I had a Chicken tikka. Both mains were very tasty and there were decent amounts of food. The range of veg is excellent and shows off the sauce perfectly. We have now had five meals from here without any problems whatsoever. It is lovely to have a reliable takeaway again. The only think snag is that delivery can sometimes a little slow. However as the saying goes, good things come to those who wait, and it really is worth waiting for.

Really bad. Curry and starter was bright red. Chemically bright red. The phall was about as hot as a mild madras. The meat didn’t taste right. Chemicals again. Almost a tinge of bleach. Went in the bin after a couple of mouthfuls. Never again.

I and my partner were visiting Manchester for a night. Really tired we thought of ordering takeout. We ordered chicken biryani and a meal for one. The food was disgusting. The biryani tasted only like turmeric. And the curry was filled with oil and extra red colourant. I mean I understand they put it to give a nice red colour, but that was over exaggerating. Over the phone, we ordered a bottle of coke when we reached there to collect the food they said they don’t have any more (we ended up with 7up). Also, they forgot to put the popadoms in the bag. A real waste of money as almost everything reached in the bin. The good part, the naans. They had a better taste than the rest of the food.

Ordered on just eat. Interesting enough though my review score was published, my comments were not. They asked me to tell them what the problem was so here it is.. again!! The chutneys were the thinnest ever almost transparent ( cheapskates) Food was greasy, overcooked, stale & tasted & looked like it had been taken from someone's leftovers (nasty) A simple roti was undercooked ( unforgiveable) The tarka dal was tasteless & full of water (poor) I only ended up eating the complimentary salad (nice one) £13+ in the bin. You live & learn!!

Have tried the Kurry house twice now and can't get served. You can only shout into the back of the place for so long. I was thinking about nipping in the back and making my own curry or perhaps joining the staff for a smoke out the back. Such a shame as this place has been recomended to me for good food.

We have used these twice now. Firstly delivery was quick and delivery driver was friendly both times. The food...was Delicious! Chicken balti was lovely, the chicken is really good quality. The sauce was cooked to perfection. Naan breads were fresh, soft and tasty. Onion bhajis are absolutely delish! And I don't normally eat them. Chips are good, chicken tikka starter good. Cannot say a bad word about any of it. I had the chicken rogan josh previously and although a little hotter than I've had in the past, it was very tasty. Keema balti is also delicious.

Have used the takeaway twice now. first time was excellent. Unfortunately would not use again! Recently ordered meal deal for one. Onion bhajis went straight in the bin because they were all burnt. Not sure what the sauces were that came with the poppadoms except for the onions! Very colourful!

We came across this place by chance and ordered there AMAZING deal for 2 for £14 which gives you... poppadum's with sauces, Bombay potato, mixed starter + onion bahji's, 2 curries (one of which from the chefs special), rice and Nann. We are huge fans of Indian food and normally stick to what we know and like but have been a little adventurous and can honestly say everything we have tried (which is now quite a lot) is delicious. I can normally find fault here and there. If I was to criticize at all and I'm talking about being really picky, I would say the chicken pakora's have too much batter on them but other than this, I highly recommend trying this amazing deal. Although it states for 2 people, its very generous and feeds our family of four. Great taste, great value and great service (delivered for free).

We have used the Urmston Kurry House several times since it opened last year & they have always been excellent quality, very fast but last night we were let down by not having a complete order. We were missing the mango & onions supplied for the pappadoms. We had also ordered 3 pappadoms as an extra to the 1 pappadom we got with the meal deal, but we only got 3. We will be using this place again but I will be making a comment on the order about getting it right.

Don't waste your money. They rip you off don't make curry authentic anymore just quick and crap. Brake the meat up into a thousand pieces don't even fill up the container with rice. Basically comes half full. Do not waste your money. It's a joke

AVOID! AVOID! AVOID! Worst experience with Riddings Tandoor. Ordered food from here and missed out the rice from our order. I called regarding the missing items and the guy ok the phone was so rude, he wasn’t understanding anything from our side and telling me he had no drivers even though we just had a driver come to the door. Whilst complaining over the phone he then put the phone down on me. We also waited 1 hour 30 minutes for our food to be cold!!! I will never be ordering from this restaurant ever again. Disgusting customer service.

I’ve ordered through the site only to have my order rejected with no explanation, with the money already taken. Tried calling repeatedly with no answer. This happened to me a few years ago at this same takeaway. Had to go through a customer service app to find out the place was closed which was why the order was cancelled. This was not updated on the site or the google page. Apparently they “forgot to update it”. Really shocking that they still accept orders while they’re closed on a day and time where they’re shown as being open. Won’t be ordering from here again.
