Riddings Tandoori Indian Takeaway in Trafford

AVOID! AVOID! AVOID! Worst experience with Riddings Tandoor. Ordered food from here and missed out the rice from our order. I called regarding the missing items and the guy ok the phone was so rude, he wasn’t understanding anything from our side and telling me he had no drivers even though we just had a driver come to the door. Whilst complaining over the phone he then put the phone down on me. We also waited 1 hour 30 minutes for our food to be cold!!! I will never be ordering from this restaurant ever again. Disgusting customer service.

There was a small amount of kebab meat and the whole thing was extremely greasy. Will not be ordering again ever.

I found this place in uber eats … the food is amazing n glad I found u guys.. I’ve ordered twice in the last few weeks and won’t be my last..

Wrong order (second time in succession), with chicken, rather than chicken tikka, in the biriyani, albeit it was still nice.

Food was delicious as usual. A rice was missing from the order, I phoned the restaurant direct who quickly delivered the rice, fabulous service and would highly recommend.

Friendly delivery driver, good delivery time, sadly below par food. Chicken balti bland. Order lacking in depth of flavour. Will not be ordering again, sorry.

Food tasted great, but we only received one of the two naan breads that we ordered.

Fantastic and authentic meals , highly recommend this little gem . Great staff especially the guy at the front , goes out of his way to please and make you feel welcome…..tried a few different curries over the last 3 years and all flavoursome, plentiful and enjoyable……

Firstly this place used to be amazing ! Tonight’s meal .. lamb chops from 3 days ago dry and vile ! Chips been in the fryer at least 4 times ! Curry , greasy and more oil than anything else .. they clearly don’t care anymore and need to be shut down food is inedible

Twice now I've ordered a 'kebab sandwich' for there to be no bread. First time this happened I had to drive to the restaurant for a replacement. Second time I couldn't be bothered to raise the issue. Won't be ordering again which is a shame as the food is always nice.

Fantastic curry, as always. We started getting our curries from here a few years ago, and have stayed with them ever since.

A decent meal promptly delivered

Been getting takes here for years & we’re always disappointed if we go elsewhere to an Indian restaurant as it never compares to the curries here. I agree that portion sizes have reduced over time but it’s still our favourite.

Far too spicy even though a madras is usually hot it seemed way too hot compared to usual other than that everything else was fine.

Food exploded everywhere in with delivery driver, Pathia tastes like a carribean curry. Naan bread is really doughy. Chips taste like pure oil. So disappointed as I was so hungry🫨🫨🫨

The quantity of the lamb tikka starter was very small for the price, and the lamb was very tough and chewy. The lamb burgers were very thin and tastless and were beef, not lamb. The bread rolls were very thin and of poor quality. The 2 cold drinks were placed in with the hot food.

Plenty of filling and depth of flavours which were lovely. Will order again!

The best Indian takeaway I have EVER had!! Everything about it was perfect: the heat, the flavours, the cooking, the quality... even the side sauces were fantastic! Will be ordering many more times from there. Excellent quality that's hard to find!

Worst curry ever! Chicken Jalfrezi tasted like a naga! No way was that a Jalfrezi! Do you think we're stupid and you can give us any curry you want without us realising? I also asked for extra fresh green chillies and didn't get any. Naan bread was undercooked as well. Won't be ordering from here again!

By far the best Indian I’ve ever been to. We’ve been going to this place for as long as I can remember. We’ve had lots of other curry’s in that time and nothing compares to this place.

Biryani was lovely as always, but the samosa’s (which are usually good) contained so much chilli they were inedible and ended up in the bin sadly.

2 hours late , food arrived, cold, no sauce, rice had funny taste, went in the bin ,, waste of money

order never turned up. we called the restaurant and the delivery company and they said they had no drivers. the restaurant was polite and apologetic but the delivery company was very rude on the phone. we want a refund as the food did not turn up

Food is great as always arrives piping hot, the biriyani is scrumptious.

When i pay for a mushroom dish i do not expect tinned rubber mushrooms And the driver just stopped in the road rang me to come to him and made no attempt to find my door. I watched him pull up. Its not hard to find i left directions.

Poppadoms were soggy. I also asked for extra pineapple but there were a total of 3 pineapple cubes in my curry which was disappointing but the food was nice

Very speedy delivery and delicious food

Food was disappointing. Flavours seemed bland, not creamy. Peshwari naan was really plain. I’m really surprised as Riddings is long-standing and we’ll thought of and I would never have expected a disappointing takeaway.

Pilau rice was not as expected more like microwave rice. Naan was soggy but expected with delivery. Chicken balti was nice

Chips looked like the end of the bag, the popadoms were stale. The curry was okay! Very quick service though but food was still slightly warm not hot. If your getting pots of sauce for your popadoms order a few aswell because the pots are tiny!

Consistently good food. Prompt delivery. I’d never go anywhere else. Restaurant quality.

We have never had a bad meal from here in 10 years. It is always our go to for Indian takeaway and we love the option to have no gee in most of the meals.

Found plastic in the food. Reported it to the shop and they offered to send another one or discount on another order. I will not be ordering from here again, it has put me off. £40 worth of food to go in the bin!

Ordered Butter Chicken which was meant to be mild, couldn’t eat it it was hot and no taste and the lamb madras was the same hot but no taste, ordered peshwari nan which has no fruit and no taste to it, really disappointed to be honest

Great tasting food, always delivered on time and always still hot. We regularly use Riddings.

The only takeaway in Timperley officially approved by The Queen of Timperley. I can highly recommend the chicken tikka sandwiches but if you want a treat, the Balti Exotica is AMAZING. Here is a photo of me collecting my chicken tikka kebab in style.

Worst curry I’ve had from the Altrincham area.

Ordered food for my husband's birthday...I never had such a disastrous food experience... complete waste of money & mood as well...i think this restaurant's chef doesn't know how Indian food really taste..please change your chef or menu...big time disapointment..

A little late, but they did warn us, which meant we could plan around it. When it arrived one of the best curries we've had in a long time. Will definitely be re-ordering.

We ordered early in the afternoon for a timed delivery. The delivery was late but the food arrived very hot and fresh. It was also New Year’s Eve so they are probably very busy. Couldn’t fault anything else. Will definitely be ordering again.

Lovely food! Nothing was missed off a really big order and there was a lot of nice spice added to everything. First time trying out this takeaway and I literally cannot fault it. All 6 of us has nothing but good reviews!

We ordered a chicken korma, chicken tikka massala, paneer massala and chicken biryani and we found the curry sauces, way too sweet. The paneer was cooked well. Had a headache after, perhaps food colouring?

Popadom sauces very, very small half an inch pot. Pakora very soggy not crispy. A bit disappointed as always been good before.

I ordered a chicken biryani with ghee - it arrived without ghee and was full of burnt bits, which I think were either herbs or tiny pieces of chicken; made the whole dish completely unpalatable. Really disappointing as usually the food is great.

Ordered madras as this is what I order from Timperley village . ,this one was far too hot no real flavour just hot, also the mango sauce was like water far too runny Don’t think I will order again from here 😞

Had to throw 2 of the 3 curry’s away because they just didn’t taste right. I usually love paneer saag and dhal but all of the curry’s didn’t really taste how they usually taste. Won’t be ordering from here again unfortunately

Have had food several times from here. Always been really great food, more than ample portion sizes, and the people serving incredibly friendly. Not expensive either. Can’t fault it.

The only problem I have with Riddings Tandoori is that the food is so tasty and delicious I always eat too much.

Poppadoms had been reheated they were chewy rather than crispy. The chicken curry was tasty but the portion size was very small and hardly any chicken.

We have had food from Riddings Tandoori a number of time over the last few weeks...can only say delicious, hot, fresh and everything we have ordered 100% . Delivery always on time or slightly earlier and driver always polite n cheery...happy customer xx

Sorry big no for us, curry's all tasted the same to hot and tasteless, one only had four pieces of chicken 🤨 bit mean on the size of tubs for onions and chutney! would rather pay the extra for Darjeeling.
