Do not order online from them. 1:45 until you get food, phoning to be told you are rude to ask where your food is. They also keep updating just eat with delays so they don’t get penalties. Honestly thanks for ruining our night. Stay well clear

Been going here for years! Tonight I ordered a fish dish, it was absolutely amazing, tender pieces of succulent fish, yumm. I ordered the same thing from DECCAN (just to try) last week. It was absolutely appalling I couldn’t even cut the fish!! Darbar was delicious 😋

I have been a regular customer at the darbar Indian takeaway in flixton greater Manchester for some years. I recently had an order go wrong. It was Father’s Day and I ordered online as usual but my order didn’t arrive. I believe it was was very busy that day. I contacted them and they delivered not long after. The mgr told me that order slip fell on the floor. I like honesty. When the food arrived it was to the highest standard as usual. A couple of hours later the door knocked, it was the owner of the Darbar coming to apologise in person. That meant a lot to me as he valued our custom . He didn’t have to do that as I knew it was a blip . I have ordered a couple of times since an the food has to the highest standard as usual. A big Thank you to everyone at the Darbar. BRAVO.

Been going here over 20 years but going to be trying other options Keema Nan tiny and thin the curry bulked out with onions and one curry missing altogether took it back to be rectified didn’t even chuck in a few poppadoms to make up for it very poor for £25 felt ripped off.

Very very disappointed. The curry’s we had - chicken ticka masala , chicken madras and chicken ticka chat were very watery , no substance and completely tasteless . The starters were ok but nothing special . The popadoms tasted of burnt oil . First and last order .

Had a takeaway last sat night, curry delicious, when driver dropped the delivery at my home, I collected from gate , when I got back in house my phone rang, I had given him an extra £20 by accident, he phoned me straight away to give it back, how lovely is that.

Tried Darbar this evening after realising they deliver to me in eccles & it was amazing. Food was hot. Lamb chops were mega. Sadly didn't give it chance to take a pic for the review. Would highly recommend.

Why only 3 stars??? First time user here. I thought the food tasted good, I would certainly like to try it again. However, my problem was that this takeaway has only acheived a 3 star rating on food hygiene, which to me is not acceptable and not good enough. A 3 star rating means satisfactory, but to me that score is just about scraping through. Any food establishment not receiving at least a 4 star hygiene rating , should not be in business. Up your standards and I might try your food again. Let us see if you take up the challenge.

Nice curry seasoned and spiced just right

Watery madras, a teaspoon of salad (consisted of dry limp cabbage), chips were hard, bruised and cold as if been there for days). Awful.

I don't want to leave another low review on any sites that some people may take the wrong way. . Don't get me wrong.. food is great but when I pay 6 quid for Kebab portion and it's not value at all.. I have got to say something to make you aware that it's happening again. Sorry but I'm not a complainer just a concerned consumer whose looking to get get value. When you came to our house to apologise last time for the lack of value , I listened and I came back for more plenty of times. Just give us value for money and keep the food tasty and retain your customer base.

NOT the usual good standard for the Darbar. Out of 7 popadoms 5 arrived in bits AGAIN. The Mango chutney was really watered down as was the mint. The main curries were good hence the 3 stars

Absolutely Excellent! Darbar Balti deserve a billion stars for their amazing food, delivery time and customer service but 5 🌟 it is! They are the nicest hardworking people and they make THE BEST chicken tikka massala Sauce and Samosas! If you’re looking for something new to try they have incredible dishes on the Chef Specialities which I’ve also tried and they’re soo tasty! I would highly recommend Darbar Balti - best Indian takeaway In Urmston..or the world!!? I’ve told everyone I know But GO order it you won’t regret it 😋 / also get their app before just eat its fab!

Phoned up for a delivery staff where pleasant delivery came and they forgot one curry..phoned up to say and they delivered within half hour off phoning up good service from the staff ..but the food wasn't a 100% my chicken madras didn't look or taste like one the onion baji was burned too well cooked for our liking..the chapatis where not great..such a pity as the staff where brilliant

Extremely friendly and helpful staff who go all the way to provide excellent customer service. Very efficient in food delivery. Delicious food with great prices for what you get. Would definitely recommend to all.

Order from the wrong takeaway I though it was the one on the roundabout never again will I order from hear! The starters where rOK but the main taste 3-4 days old sour and if you got a good nose for food you would jusmxhbt no somthing was wrong with its foul smell. I rang to say it was no good and they said tuff Save your money or order from some where else

Never, ever an issue with speed of delivery or quality and flavour of the food. Portion size very good to boot. All the delivery guys are friendly and courteous including the owner who is always happy to chat. We've had many, many meals from here, it's our go to place. Recommended!

Bought 3 kebabs the naan breads were all burnt the lamb was tough and hard to chew the shish kebab meat bright red (out of a packet not cooked fresh on skewers ) all the meats were dry and the sauses had far to much food colouring . The salad that accompany a kebab was just shredded cabbage put in plastic bags. I also order chicken wings the portion was four wing tips (the bit you throw away ). My over all experience of eating at the darbar takeway was a very expensive mistake. PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS TAKEAWAY.

This is the 2nd time we have had a takeaway from Darbar Balti (obviously not on the same day ) and once again the food was excellent. The owner even delivered the food himself - very nice guy. We will definitely be ordering our Indian takeaway from Darbar Balti again. Fabulous tasty food.

Tried several curries which all seem to come in a generic tomato puree base. Ordered a Jalfrezi expecting it to be dry and flavoured with chilli and peppers as per the classic recipe and lo and behold it came flooded in a red sauce with a red hue to the meat!! Seems like one sauce fits all !!

First time I've order from here and Omg, I have to say one of the best Indian foods restaurant or takeaway I've ever had. They were quick from ordering to delivery and I even got a text to say it was on its way to me. So happy I ordered and will definitely be ordering again. I highly recommend if you enjoy Indian cuisine. Fish tikka masala is gorgeous 👌 xx

Bland food and their korma sauce was strange it had the consistency similar to my baby’s poop it was a tad jelly like if you will and tasted of nothing

ordered through just eat.came on time but 1 drink missing.i ordered lamb rogan josh,recieved what tasted like a mixture of different types of curry,lots of tomatoes very little lamb,and the lamb i had was fatty and unappetizing.first take away for quite some time and was really disappointed.my daughter enjoyed her curry but my son had a kebab and complained meat tasted very overcooked.popadums greasy and didnt taste very good.all in all not good and will not use them again.

Not happy. Ordered my meal and it arrived with part of my order missing. Rang back to advise of this and had to wait 20 minutes for the rest of my order which the part that was delivered was now cold. Totally ruined my dinner and all we got was the rest of the order no freebies or refund. Disappointed to say the least.

Well done to the darbar in Flixton thought I ordered chips but I didn't phone them back up and told them there's no chips in the order and the guy the only came round and give us chips poppadoms and a box of chocolates even though I didn't order chips massive thanks

We ordered for the first time tonight and were very impressed. The food was not greasy at all. Ordered for delivery to partington and it was here within half an hour on a Friday night. Will definitely again in the future.

The Darbar has been are one an only take away for the last twelve years! Tried the rest but found the best, as they say! The staff is fantastic, very friendly and polite and the food - no matter what you order - is always absolutely delicious - never let us down once!! I was pretty horrified to read the poor reviews posted, given how many meals we've enjoyed from the Darbar. Suffice to say, I've just phoned them and placed a very big order. Do not eat out of this place. Absolutely disgusting curry. Lamb tikka madras, The lamb was like old leather boots been cut into cubes, it took an hour and a quarter to arrive, when they said 25 mins when I ordered, and it was £9 dearer than the menu that I ordered off. I am 52 years old, and used to travel the length and breadth of this country in my job. I have eaten in hundreds and hundreds of curry houses over the years, this is by far the worst I have ever had the displeasure of eating. not that I did eat it, the bin seen more of this curry than my insides !!!!!!!! BE WARNED, EAT HERE AT YOUR PERIL !

The people who served us were very friendly and polite. The food was all excellent. We were given more than enough mint sauce etc and generous portions of food. Highly recommended!

This was my second and last time I'll ever get food from here, I had to bin it the 2nd time because of what I seen, This place is absolutely disgusting with what they get away with, when I collected my food the 2nd time, when driving around the back to go out the other way, to my horror of what I seen them doing, they were bringing in the food from it looked like a derelict shack (garage) I was horrified I wonder what people are eating from here like mouse or rat feces.

Best in the area for Indian takeaway by far! We don't even consider anywhere else, this has been our local Indian since we moved into the area over 15 years ago!! Very friendly service and they support the local community via football teams and a local boxer, highly recommend.

Really good quality and tasty dishes. Value for money and excellent service. Always happy staff and even offer a drink when waiting sometimes. Place is clean and never had a problem. Always had a great meal.

The Darbar is a takeaway only establishment but their food is a delight. The first thing you notice when you walk through their door is that you can see the cooking taking place; they do not hide their kitchen behind a wall. If you have any waiting time you will become fascinated watching the chefs working on the meals. The staff here are so friendly and the service is excellent. When I arrived a slight problem had been found with one of the dishes so this had been remade from scratch, the problem was only slight and I would have accepted as it was. Excellent service. This was my first time using the Darbar so I am not sure if it was the dishes I chose or that is their normal size but the portions were very generous. I had dishes I have not seen on any Indian Takeaway menu before and the tastes were gorgeous and intricate, being able to taste all the different spices. My only regret is that I was visiting family and normally live a long way away so cannot use this restaurant more; well done guys keep up the excellent food, Flixton is very lucky.
