The Masala Bangladeshi Takeaway in Trafford

Today I order lamb tikka masala, lamb was uncooked and curry was not looking like it is tikka masala it was look like it is something sweet that I ordered. Very strong smell of lamb. Even it was hard for me to eat this with this smell and sweet curry.

Always enjoyable, breads and grilled meats cooked in a clay oven so always have a great flavour. The staff curry special was excellent, they also do a great kebab

Doesn’t look the fanciest of places from outside but I tell you the food is sensational. Staff always very friendly too.

Me and my friend are in Manchester from London. From the outside, we were unsure if the food would be good. We loved it; it was delicious and had huge portions. Mr Islam is a character, and we laughed with him and his chefs. Don’t be put off by the outside, and it was all fresh and delicious.

Great, consistent food. Lamb chop tikka are as delicious as I remember chops 35 years ago, and they're in Altrincham, not Manchester. Once you know about Bangladeshi, you won't need another Indian.

Nice food as always, but prices have gone up ~50% since we last ordered (less than 6 months ago). £26 for takeaway for 2 - cheaper to go out for food! Won’t be ordering again, sadly

Altrinchams hidden gem that does not get the publicity it deserves, we have tried almost all Indian restaurants in altrincham and cannot look beyond this place, the food is so tasty and consistent, just had another one delivered tonight, chicken madras and tandoori lamb chops are out of this world, can’t praise this place enough 10/10

Its okay okay take away restaurant. They don't have a Bill/Receipt printing machine, which is essential for reimbursement from office- Make a note if you have to. Taste wise its average.

We’ve been ordering takeaways from here for over 30 years! Never had a bad experience, all the staff are extremely polite and great service. Would highly recommend the Thali (both meat and veggie), excellent food. Without a doubt, the best in Altrincham

My partner and I visited 2 times while in Altrincham. We ordered land curry with rice ect, then asked for 2 lots of onion Bhaji £37 pound later we went away with takeaway. To find we had 8 onion bhaji. They come in 4 apparently. Most would let you know, maybe not. But anyway curry, rice and naans were delicious. Chef friendly, but I do feel the owner knew what he was doing, nethertheless we returned.

I ordered on Deliveroo at 22:30 . I was quoted a time of 35-50 minutes which I was absolutely fine with , even though it was for 4 starters and popadoms which can literally be produced in minutes . It is now 1:10 …… I’ve cancelled the order and will never be ordering from this place again . I warn others not to either . If it was possible to give them -5 stars I would

The curries here are great - really tasty. I travel to Altrincham on a regular basis for work and every time I come to the Masala Bangladeshi at least once. When you place your order, they start chopping ingredients and cooking in front of you. Very reasonably priced as well.

This has been my favorite takeaway for many years. Big menu available. Had a Vindaloo last night and it was really good.

Ordered 3 currys; the lamb tikka Masala, chicken bhuna and chicken rogan josh. All perfectly spiced for us (medium). Pick up ready within 10 minutes of ordering, quick for a Friday evening. Food nice and hot. Portions are generous with plenty of meat. Will come back and recommend to friends

Ordered one of the family packages for £20 tonight, Was absolutely mouth watering great flavours just the right spice plenty to go round great value for money thoroughly enjoyed!! 😋 feeling satisfied

First time we have ordered from here and safe to say it will be the last. First of all, the onions in the onion chutney had gone off and smelt awful. Secondly we ordered a lamb curry, the meat was so old we couldn't tell whether some parts were meat or if they were bone. It was clear that the rice was not fresh as it was very hard, grainy and dry and seemed as if it had been preheated. The chicken in our biryani was again dry. Overall, a really disappointing meal.

I have ordered a couple of dishes for delivery over the past few weeks. From the menu Bangla Recommmendations I have tried the Bangla Achari and the Cham Cham with pilau rice. Fish Tikka starters or Meat Samosa starter and side order of Mint sauce. Delivery was usually about 30 minutes. Friendly staff on the phone and paid by card. We live about 2 miles away and I think they deliver up to three miles. Really enjoyed the food and will be ordering again.

I would never recommend this restaurant to take away. Owner was very rude when i complained about naan n chapati which was not even able to tear. We tried to tell the issue in a very sophisticated way but he has been rude. Ofcourse quality was not good but after paying money we atleast expect etiquette to tackle problem n accept to improve which was lacking.

Best food I’ve ever had the pizza was outstanding and my Pepsi was a little over cooked but it was delicious

We ordered a takeaway tonight as we have done on previous occasions. We received a phone call from a mobile number to get directions 30 minutes later to then be told that we were not within the delivery radius of 5 miles .... we actually are!! I then phoned the takeaway who said that was correct. When I asked if the food was cooked and ready to go, I was told it was and would be put in the bin. ‘Put in the bin’ I said to which they answered “yes and what are you going to do about it”!! They’re are homeless people and families who rely on food banks and your throwing food in the bin?

First and very last time I order from this place, ordered tandoori masala prawns, wasn't tandoori, just so slop in a pan with inedible prawns that haven't been cooked in a tandoori, the garlic naan was not proper garlic naan but instead normal naan with a tiny bit of garlic butter on it which smelt of garlic but didn't taste of garlic, just normal bread, weird...The rice was not the best either, strange yellow colour and over cooked and all broken up, tbh I thought it was few days old, the bes thing about this place is the food arrives hot but then you will have to wait a while until it cools down to feed it the dog, mind you I doubt a dog would eat it.... Anyway, a meal for 1 at £17.95 via UBER eats which after so many times my food has come cold and terrible customer service, I won't be using them again either, they're almost as bad as deliveroo. This masala bangladeshi place though is not authentic and very poor quality, they don't like complaints either, basically didn't care at all. Well, neither do I, so many people ask about decent takeaways in Altrincham when they jump in a black cab, they're good at spreading the word. Wish I had stuck to my usual takeaway but wanted a change. Good luck 😀

what a shame have been going here since 1997 when i lived in Altrincham, i moved away many years ago yet still made the odd 50 mile round trip for a takeaway simply because it was fantastic, however the last few weeks have seen new staff come on board and frankly the standards have nosedived badly, our last takeaway was not good it was dry it was over done with Tumeric ( a classic cheap food trick) and the chicken was not as good, the cleanliness inside has also fallen badly with dirty cloths scattered around and the staffs white are now badly stained and unwashed, stained and washed is acceptable but unwashed says a lot please bring back the old nan chef he knew his stuff the new guy hmm all standards have fallen since he turned up never seen chicken for a kebab microwaved before until he arrived and the onion bhajis are now lumps of uncooked flour the owner needs to act or he will lose all his customers

Still the best Indian take away around. Just had second helpings the night after. Don’t be put off by the staff looking lapse Si dasical when you walk in they do deliver believe me 👍👍
