Great food and really friendly staff- best curry house I’ve been to in Urmston and great takeaway service also. Will definitely be returning in the future!!

Our family have been visiting this restaurant for years - it's a friendly local place where the curry is made fresh everytime. Highly recommended and good value.

Ordered a takeaway last night. The delivery service was great and within the given time. The bhajis and chicken chat were nice, but the Garlic Chilli Chicken was disappointing, lacking both any real flavour and any heat (I'd requested extra chilli, too).

We ordered before 8pm and were told delivery by 8:45pm we eventually got it delivered at 9:55pm and had things missing. We called the restaurant numerous times to chase delivery and they were quite frankly rude and dismissive of our concerns, actually at one point saying to me the restaurant is busy goodbye and put the phone down on us!!! Also blaming the third party online service for getting the order wrong. All requested salads and sauces were missing from the kebabs and the food was luke warm, the chicken korma ordered for my nephew was stone cold! Really not good service for an order of over £50. When I called again he wasn’t interested and just wanted me off the phone. I emailed the ordering service who were apologetic but said nothing they can do only the restaurant can offer a refund - going round in circles. Will NOT be returning, customer service is key in business and if you can’t cope with a takeaway/delivery service don’t offer it!

Had the best meal out in ages !!! What a fantastic meal, the food was delicious, a little hidden gem in urmston. Yes the decor is a bit dated, but the restaurant has heart , the staff don’t rush you, are really polite but most importantly the food they serve is gorgeous, definitely worth a try, good value for money too.

I really don't understand all the great reviews of this restaurant...... We visited this restaurant with our young daughter. The dingy, dirty decor should have warned us of when we walked in....! We ordered samosas to start which were awful, thick doughy pastry and greasy filling, and could hear the microwave in the kitchen which didn't inspire confidence. My chicken biryani main was greasy and quite tasteless. The chicken tikka naan my wife ordered was vile. Small pieces of what seemed like defrosted chicken that tasted like they had been cooked in butter or ghee. The naan was edible but nothing else was so we left our meals and had to order a takeaway from elsewhere later on. Needless to say we won't be going back.

Excellent meal well worth the money the service was first class and they couldn’t do enough for us nothing was to much trouble ... defiantly recommend it ..

Visited with friends recently and had a fantastic meal. The owner is a lovely man who will do anything to make your evening special. Will definatly return.

I've been coming to this little restaurant for years and it never disappoints. Just like the name alludes to the food here is delicious and made up fresh, they'll make up your dinner as hot (or as mild) add you want it. Out of a small place so does kind of feel like you are eating in someone's living room. If that's not for you they also do takeaway so you can enjoy this lovely food from the comfort of your own living room! If you want to give it a go on the cheap they do a great deal on Sundays before 8pm, otherwise I'd recommend trying the Murraba!

Friendly atmosphere from welcoming staff - happy to chat. Very good food from varied menu and reasonably priced.

Where do I start? The poppodums were stale which was a bad sign. The mixed grill starter was an assortment of brightly coloured red meats. It tasted bland and was barely edible. The main dish of chicken with spinach was super oily and again bland. The chicken was chewy and lacked any flavour. As for the vegetarian dishes, I despaired. I'm Indian and I've been cooking Indian food for 30 years but I failed to recognise most of the dishes. The daal (lentils) consisted of a brown sauce with a handful of lentils floating inside. It tastes sweet and lacked any other taste. The potato and peas dish was awful, neither was cooked and I threw it away. I ended up making some beans on toast for myself when the whole point was I didn't want to cook. The chapati and naan were okay and we were given complimentary greasy chips did not save the meal. I'm not very surprised by the poor standard. We have been living in the area for nearly 10 years and we have yet to find a decent Indian restaurant nearby.

We have been coming in delicious on & off now for years and must say have never been disappointed. A small family run restaurant with a warm welcome and a nice relaxing atmosphere. A great selection of authentic Indian & Bangladeshi dishes, always like to try the house specialities especially the papsika, give it a try, delicious! Will be back again very soon, ian&linsi

Been eating at the Delicious off and on ever since it opened around 14 years ago. It never fails to offer great food on a comprehensive menu, and the food is always so tasty. I recommend without hesitation.

Last time I visited I rated this restaurant completely average. This tiome the main course was noticeably better (we avoided the starters that were hopeless last time round), but the poppadoms were tending towards stale. Service is a bit haphazard, verging on the overly-familiar at times, though doubtless just trying to be obliging. Ambience absolutely average, but let down by a CD player that kept sticking: very irritating. Not the worst place around, but still average.Good enough for a quick fill-up rather than a nice evening out. Say 3.5 stars, rather than 3 or 4.

Started using delicious as my takeaway of choice in Urmston last month. With so many Indian takeaways to choose in Urmston I hadn’t got around before to using delicious. We are a family of vegetarians and were very pleased with the choice on offer. We ordered the food and it arrived on time with a very pleasant delivery driver. The food was hot and the order was accurate, what was nice is that fresh vegetables were used in the curries instead of frozen and the somosas were home made. All in all a very good take away.

If a minus rating was possible this would get one.

If you want a curry with a difference then this is the place to eat. All their curries have a real authentic Indian home cooked taste about them, they are different to your mainstream curry houses so be prepared to enjoy a lovely curry.

Well this is an interesting place. Looks a bit wild from outside with all the lights. Extremely quirky inside which I mean it was like going back to the 70’s.

There is such a friendly and welcoming atmosphere at Delicious, and the food was second to none - such wonderful flavours. You can tell it's freshly cooked when ordered. They will gladly cook any dish to your own taste.

We regularly go to the restaurant particularly on a Sunday great family meal and great customer service.

Amigos ya mencioné que había visitado el restaurante y dijo que estaba bien. Pedir y fue entregado a tiempo. El caballero que entregó la comida era muy elegantemente vestido y muy cortés. Él nos agradeció pidiendo y les pedimos que nos probamos el restaurante también. Nos quedamos muy impresionados con la comida. Es uno de los mejores sitios de comida para llevar que hemos comido en mucho tiempo. Tuvimos tres curris diferentes, tandoori grill mixto y varios entrantes. Que es bueno cuando no hay nada a la izquierda al final de la comida. ! Sin duda pedir de nuevo - y visitar el restaurante.

Hay una gran cantidad de sitios de India en Urmston, y como trasladarse a la zona he probado varios, en la esperanza de encontrar mi favorito.

Es difícil destacar algo acerca de delicioso, excepto posiblemente el hecho de que puedes llevar tu propia bebida. El servicio estaba bien, rozar ligeramente agresivos. No tienes que me sugirio probar el plato más caro en el menú. Cuando fuimos parecía que era una persona que sirve para hacer todo lo de la preparación de comidas. Si es así, entonces él estaba bien hasta las tareas como la comida era perfectamente comestible. Bueno, y la bandeja poppadoms pickle terrible samosas con pegajoso, repostería y absolutamente normal balti pollo tikka. Este último puede conseguir rió fuera de la vista en Birmingham, pero hizo su trabajo de proporcionar algo sabroso.

I have lived in the area 15 years and this restaurant has been open 16 years, according to the waiter/owner?. I have walked past it many times without so much as a glimpse. Perhaps because from the outside it does not grab your attention. Come to think of it; neither does the inside! However the food on the other hand belies this and is lovely , fresh and tasty. If you live nearby and love curry its a must try eaterie. . Bonus!, you can bring your own wine too! Although they do have a bar.

Been a good few times to this little gem, always 1st class food, nothing is any trouble, the staff are lovely and friendly, you can either take your own alcohol or buy it there, truly a 'delicious' place.

At first glance the restaurant doesn't seem much to look at. It could do with a bit of modernising but is perfectly clean and tidy. You can also bring your own alcohol which is always a good thing. I was there to celebrate a friends birthday and was my first visit to the restaurant. The staff are amazingly friendly and welcoming. Also the food was really nice and excellent value. The best thing as well is they are happy to "customise" your dish to suit your own individual tastes. Would definitely recommend and would visit again.

This is not the largest restaurant, but it's has fantastic food and impeccable service.It's our go-to place for a curry.... They also do other dishes, but I just love the rogan gosh, they will cater for your taste, wether mild or very hot!Very friendly and if you can't see what you want on the menu... Just ask!Booking is always a good idea....

Fantastic tucked away little treasure! Impecable, warm, friendly, attentive customer service! Would definitely recommend the food is so yummy! And not expensive. I have been there many of times and the service and food never lower in standard. My favourite curry house and definitely the best one in Urmston. :)

Out with friends for a nice meal, we were not disappointed. Have eaten here several times because the food quality is so consistent. Small restaurant with attentive staff ensure a good night out.Decor is work in progress and is getting better. Definitely worth a visit, can recommend the fish balti.

A little bit uncertain about gong in. but in we went. Very tired decoration and a little old fashioned.Ordered are meals and was quite surprised how good they were Plus points you can bring yourOwn drinks. But in dire need of update.

This is our third visit and it really is about time that I gave this place due credit. Very good service, an excellent menu and fantastic food. Nothing but praise - outstanding value for money. It is licensed but you can bring your own drink at no cost - highly recommended.

Fabulous food nothing is too much trouble will alter strength to your requirements (hot, medium etc) very informative about food and service second to none by far the best curry house in Urmston and prices are very competitive

I have been going here for years become a regular when I walk in the waiter knows what drink I have. Always lovely service and great standard of food. Would recommend to anyone who loves a curry and to try different specialities!

There are numerous alternative choices for Indian cuisine in Urmston but Delicious is our favourite. Every meal is freshly cooked and to the strength you desire (hot, medium or mild). There is a small bar but you are welcome to bring your own drinks, without a charge. A hidden gem!

Me & my girlfriend have never had a poor meal. The staff are very kind & it does not bother us they can not speak very good English. It's not a 5 star restaurant but it is cheap and cheerful. Always come away happy.

We went for our sons 18th birthday and it was a great night. Nothing was too much trouble and they even put banners up for us, a lovely surprise they gave us details on all the specials and were willing to change the strength of any dish to suit. All the food arrived at the same time hot and as ordered..The fact that we could take our own drink made a huge difference to the bill.I highly recommend this hidden gem, staff, food and price all excellent.

This place is really hit and miss.I came as a group of 11 and we had to wait 1hour and a half for out main courses-unacceptable, the waiter use shrugged it off when we complained. The food was good when it arrived though.On two separate occasions we have had takeaways and both have been extremely poor. The curry didn't taste of anything let alone curry despite requesting medium strength. The mixed starter was clearly reheated, not just for a second time. The samosa was fried to within an inch of its life, the shish kebab was poor quality meat and tasted so fatty.Very disappointed customer, won't be visiting again.

Another fantastic Indian in urmston! Creamy well spiced tender dishes, good choice and value, friendly service, lovely old school atmosphere! We'll definitely be back to try more of the fab dishes!

We visited Delicious this evening following really good reviews on here. The reviews were right, with the service being exceptional. The owner is the waiter/chef so he described all the specials on the menu. He could not do enough for us.Our meals, which I ordered Balti Chicken chana were superb. The starters were good too, onion bahjis and samosa's. We were given mints at the end of the meal, and fruit too. Superb. I would highly recommend a visit. You can also take your own alcohol, however they so provide some of you don't.

I can`t praise this little hidden gem enough!! The food is freshly cooked and they will tailor it to suit your own needs if its not on the menu. The staff are incrediby friendly and welcoming and remember us every time we go in. It`s a little family run place, they also do a buffet style menu. All the food is reasonably priced, we have even had a few family celebrations here and they catered for large groups with all the food coming out together and is was hot and very tasty. They also have a take out menu, but I would heartily recommend you give it a try in the premises itself. It`s hidden away on Gloucester Road, opposite National Tyres on the outskirts of Urmston town centre

My husband and I only eat our curries locally here at delicious, the owners are also the waiting o staff so they have an interest in you having a great meal!my favourite is papseeka its always so fresh and great quality, eaten here many many times and never been disappointed. Sometimes the food takes that little bit longer to make as its made fresh each time!well worth trying!!

me and my wife went for a meal at the delicious last night , the food was exellent. We eat a lot of indian food, and you can tell the friendly staff really care about their cooking. Very nice people, very nice restaurant, would highly reccommend.

We have eaten in this charming little restaurant a number of times and enjoyed each of the "cooked to order dishes" we've tried so far. It has a very warm and friendly atmosphere and the two brothers who run it take the time to explain each different dish. Delicious it certainly is.

This family run restaurant might be small but it is cosy and welcoming. The two brothers that run it are very friendly and explain what each dish consists of. The food really is delicious. The beauty of it is that it is reasonably priced and you can take your own drink although they have a well stocked bar.

We went for the Sunday Buffet. Wasn't impressed with the overall look or cleanliness of the place-looks like someone's front room! Never mind we thought-lets wait until we get the food. We ordered and took our wine out to drink-big sign in the window-bring our own. Asked for glasses only to be told-no, sorry, not with the Sunday buffet!!! We pointed out the sign didn't say that outside-waiter shrugged-not allowed!!! When the food came it was a major disappointment-cheap ingredients and not particularly tasty. To be fair it was very cheap-and as the saying goes-you get what you pay for!! We won't be bothering again!!!!

Went last night and had popadoms, lamb tikka chops and a lamb Tindaloo. Can't fault the staff - wonderfully friendly. Food was good and surrounds were cosy. Thanks guys!

Having eaten here several times the food is nice. Just nice. Not spectacular. Absolutely not up to the accolade of 'The Best Curry in Manchester'. If you go expecting food to the standard of that at Akbar's or on The Curry Mile you will be disappointed. If you go expecting a decent curry for a decent price you will be satisfied. Staff are pleasant. Menu is above average but not ground-breaking - nor does it need to be in this location. Fellow reviewers need to go easy with the 5 stars! And Trip Advisor really need to offer a rating of 'good'.

I have eaten in most of the curry houses in Manchester and without a doubt this is the best curry in Manchester..... end of.A wonderful menu to entice every flavour and palate great service great food. Give this place a try!

Ran by two guys who really, really care about their food and it tells, not the usual curry house menu (its there if you really want it) give their regional specials a try and some of them are fantastic and a tasty change from a Massala or a Bhuna!Interior is plain and simple but goes with the age of the guys serving you but feels very comfortable and friendly.

Very friendly service with a smile and quality freshly cooked food + free hot towels and mints at the end 10/10 from me as I've been in some naff Indian restaurants before so I like to think I know what I'm talking about

I've been going to Delicious for donkeys years now, every time the same excellent service, food to die for never been ill or had any bad food. Food is always fresh, hot and 'Delicious'. Knocks spots off any other Indian in manchester. Never had to book, but as more people get to know about this restaurant we have now decided to always book. Take out also available, if you can't eat it all a doggy bag too.

In my opinion, the best Indian restaurant in Urmston, if not Manchester - it doesn't rely on any promotions or garish refits, just home cooked style Indian food, with a varied, unusual menu prepared (to coin the chef's phrase) "Any way you like". There are many things on the menu that I've never seen in any other Indian restaurant and they all seem to be authentic dishes, rather than made up to appease English tastes. Staff are very friendly and attentive and the restaurant has a cosy, homely feel to it where you feel nothing is too much trouble.I visit this restaurant often, with my wife, my family and friends.Highly recommended
