Urban Rooms in City of London, Westminster

Sirven el mejor Americano de la ciudad (por lo que puedo decir), sus productos horneados, especialmente sus pasteles, te harán agua la boca durante horas y están en ToGoodToGo, que te dice que son buenas personas incluso antes de que entres la tienda (que se confirmará entonces). No importa el día o la hora en que venga, este lugar está lleno, probablemente porque el café es excelente. Asientos exteriores, así como planta baja y asientos adicionales en la planta baja. El personal es agradable y amable. Justo al lado de la calle Carnaby

Double espresso & Portuguese Tart. Should have thought about having the tart on Sunday...it was probably made on Friday so crust was soggy. Lovely coffe & nice quiet place to take a break.

Not good, sat outside having lunch and two of the staff sat within 50 cm of the door smoking and worse still nonchalantly blowing smoke in our direction. But staff were obviously having a good time and so hopefully management are happy, Shane about customers though!

So this is a tea room. And given it’s a tea room I had stupidly thought their teas might be loose leaf and properly infused like in other tea rooms in London - oh no! At the Urban Tea Rooms a tea bag gets chucked into a pot and you get charged £3.25 for the privilege! Absolute sham of a place - they’ve got the shabby chic trendy decor down to a T, sadly it’s a con.

The positives. The staff were nice. The negatives: The cocktails (this is what you come for) were awful. I had their pimms punch which with all the ingredients managed to taste exactly like a whisky and flat coke from Wetherspoons. My wife's cocktail tasted exactly like sparkling cough medicine. The interior was cramped and uncomfortable seats. Would not go again.

I used to be a regular here however they have recently 're-branded' with new policies and upped pricing. Not worth it any more. Such a shame.

What a lovely relaxing time we had here. 10 of us girls came here for afternoon tea after finding a voucher on Groupon for afternoon tea with Prosecco and unlimited tea. It was a treat. They came around the table asking what type of tea we wanted first then asked if any one had any dietary requirements. 2 of us in the group were vegetarians. Next they brought over 5 bottles of prosecco and then the tea. The sandwiches and cakes were amazing. The veggie ones were so tasty I wanted more. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming and staff very attentive and came around checking if we needed any more tea. Very nice place to visit. Definitely recommend. I will be going again to try the other food on the menu.

We were looking for some kind of typical tea time but somehow ended up here due to a friend's recommendation. Everything was very nice and clean, but quite packed (it was a cold winter day and we were probably not the only ones looking for a warm tea and a quick bite).

If you are looking for a cosy place to sit comfortably with a friend over a pot of tea and a natter...as one would assume by the title "Urban Tearooms " you will be disappointed. This is a tiny place,more snack bar then a place to linger. Seating almost all on wooden high stools along walls with boards for tables, 2 large communal tables and rough looking seating downstairs. All very bare and raw looking, more rough cabin on camping ground then 'tearoom' in West End. We decamped without sampling anything and went for a more comfortable place.

So much choice in London for a quick lunch, but really pleased we chose here. Had the chicken and chorizo stew and it was delicious! Perfect on a cold day and so so good. All the sandwiches looked great too.

Thought I had found a good late night cafe but on getting there was told they only serve hot drinks "in the morning". Wasn't sure if they took a dislike to my appearance, or thought they could get a better return on their limited space from someone else... checking the 1-star reviews here seems to show that their policy is to discontinue cafe service at 5pm (when the office workers come out and hit the bars). It actually makes a lot of sense to have dual use of the premises. So the real issue here is how it is advertised/listed. I don't know if it is within their control, but it would perhaps be better for Apple Maps to have two entries for them at the same location. One called "Urban Tea Rooms" with a 5pm closing time and another called "Urban Tea room Bar" with the later closing time.

Tiny little cafe that was perfect for me and my cousin when we were desperate for somewhere to shelter from the rain! Delicious home made cakes as well!
