Eat in City of London, Westminster

If you just want a hot drink and a bite to eat this place is fine. The prices are reasonable and staff friendly. We ordered a panini each, which were hot and tasty. The coffee was hot, unlike other chains which are often lukewarm. Spacious eating area. Would visit again.

This happens to be near the hotel and after a day of running around England and collecting various savory foods, I wanted to round out a light dinner with a small salad. The people were ok but not very friendly. The case had a small selection - just about all the salads had meat and/or eggs. They do not provide a dressing with the salads. Everything in the cases looked fresh, though. I think there's demand in Covent Garden because the grocery store also was very picked over and it was only mid-afternoon.

Food is what it is. A quick cheap bite. Mind you, their branded crisps contain about 1 new potatoes of crisps....almost lighter than air - rip off. Other than that, all attempts to get the serving staff to smile went without success. Seriously, I know a job is a job, but if you insist on being miserable, work somewhere not in contact with the public. We are visiting our capital city.....and would hate for foreign visitors to come across this service. Cheer up.

We came here for breakfast and fruit juice. I don't think it has quite the range of Pret A Manger but it is a serious contender. The choice of drinks was very impressive, took us longer to pick those than our breakfast, bacon baps with eggs. The staff were very pleasant and brought our food to our table. I loved this place and it would be the perfect place to recover from a hangover whilst reading the Sunday papers.

Very good food, inexpensive and nice employees. The place is quite large and it is a serve yourself. Thier serve food that is made fresh daily and it tastes it. We had a soup and a sandwich to share but neither of us actually wanted to share, so I got to keep my soup. They also have open coolers with cold sandwiches, salads and such for those in a hurry. I liked it so much that when I found one in another part of London I went right for it. It may be a chain but there was a vast difference in food and service. The EAT. on St. Martin's Lane is terrific and I would definitely eat at this EAT. again. Next time I'll hold the cheese on the review.

Were in a hurry twice the week we stayed in this neighborhood, and just popped in EAT for soup and sandwich, and enjoyed it. The lean in their cuisine is somewhat Mediterranean and dollop of Middle East - the soup was on the spicy side, but well prepared. The wrap (chicken) was also tasty with a bit of a zip to the mayo on the inside. The pastrami (yes, I tried it!) was OK, but like a lot of Yanks, I am used to the piled high interior, and this version seemed pretty thin by our standards. But overall, quick eats, nicely prepared for this kind of place and very upbeat staff behind the counter. Just what we wanted when in a hurry to make a 7:30 curtain.

A large range of sandwiches and drinks and helpful staff who gave us directions as we were leaving. Sandwiches really fresh and well packaged. Eating in is more expensive (VAT) than takeaway but tables were clean and comfortable.

Puedes comer sano y bien a cualquier hora del día. Autoservicio, sandwiches, ensaladas, zumos, etc. This is London, in poco carito. Te salva de un apuro.

A great range of fresh lunch dishes which focused on taste and speed. Portions were well balanced and using fresh healthy ingredients. Efficient staff who were happy in their work and made you feel like your custom was important. A great place to grab a snack on the run or sit and relax for longer over your meal, including a table tennis table. The facilities were clean and well kept, they included a code which was easily obtained from a member of staff but did mean they could not be used as a casual drop in loo stop!

We had never eaten in an Eat before. The layout is very airy and there was a decent choice of sandwiches, baguettes etc. The couple next to us had soup and it looked hot and they clearly enjoyed it. Our tuna sandwich was extremely moist and the baguette with brie, rocket and tomato was softer than it looked. No problems with the food, but, like all these coffee houses, why can't you have a "Cup" of coffee? Regular or large (or large and extra large to be accurate!) are all that is offered. We always ask for small coffees, but end up with buckets.

En Londres se come muy mal en general y todo sabe a pimienta, en estos locales se comen unos bocadillos, en principio sanos y a un precio muy recomendable.
