Urban Pitta in Sheffield

Need to sort out their system for delivery drivers on Uber. Requesting drivers well before the order is even made. Having us sat there for 10 mins. I don't know how the system works fully but it's funny how other takeaways have the order ready as soon as I walk in. We aren't getting paid enough to sit around waiting.

Ordered delivery, driver was on time And friendly, the food was excellent, if I didn’t live 2 hours away I’d order here more often. Plenty of filling and a great amount of salads in the pitta. Will definitely have another next time I’m In Sheffield.

Food is amazing but the wait is absolutely ridiculous. I went in just after opening time, was the only customer and had to wait 20 minutes for a pitta. If the pittas/meat aren't ready, please let customers know so they can make an informed choice about how long to wait for. Such a shame as this could be an amazing place otherwise.

Ridiculous small amount of chicken and long wait to get food. Wont bother again.

Food is decent here but I wouldn't come back again strictly based on the poor level of customer service I received. The halloumi fries were missing from my order and I've been chasing a refund from Urban Pitta since 04/03. A manager was meant to call me to sort out a refund, as I live over 2 hours away and was only in the area visiting at the time, but I've not heard anything back from the manager. It's really disappointing, especially as this was my first experience with Urban Pitta. Definitely wouldn't come back here again - I don't fancy having my money stolen.

Food is beautiful, staff are unwelcoming, not very accommodating with a customer wanting a slight change. No warmth or friendly approach from them. Large team that didn't crack a smile the whole time I was there

Excellent food. Really busy all the time, the staff are incredibly patient. Big shout out to Harley who served me calmly at a very busy and pressured time.

This might be good if you go in but an online delivery order is not good. No attempt was made with packaging to keep the food warm so even though it came direct, it was stone cold. The salad bowls are pretty tasty but nowhere near enough for the prices charged. Not enough sauce on salad bowls.

This company have opened a new branch at Hunters Bar. We placed an order yesterday but in the end we got no food. They totally messed us around. They took the order over the phone for delivery. After an hour when nothing arrived we contacted them. They blamed the delivery driver and said they’d arrange another. Another hour elapsed. Nothing. My son spoke to two drivers via Just Eat who’d gone to collect the food. Nothing there to collect. After a further hour we managed to get a refund because we’d still got no food. Even getting our money back was hard work. No apologies. Truly one of the worst customer experiences ever. Go anywhere else but here.

Filling, tasty food for a great price! Love the range of fillings and sauces they have and really nice staff too! We went in the middle of lunch rush (unknowingly) and were still served in 10 minutes

Not clear about allergens. Ate from here before and was assured everything was dairy free and ate it and had a dodgy stomach. Next time went back and they said the chips weren't dairy free after all (flame fries). I had placed an order online which included said fries as I had previously been reassured they were ok. When I was told otherwise however, I requested they were removed and they wouldn't allow me to. I said I can't eat them though?? And they didn't seem to understand me whatsoever and still charged me. There were three staff members arguing with me at this point saying I still needed to pay and it wasn't registering at all so I just paid and left. I'm sure you'll enjoy this place if you don't have allergies.

The food is amazing. I had the pitta filled with salad and steak. freshly prepared and very tasty. Top marks. Am so glad they’ve opened another one on eccesall Road. Super healthy food.

Not has good as before, not enough chicken in the salad meal. Could be a off night

Order from this place constantly and is usually great however most recent order was completely wrong. Didn’t bother to read any instructions and just added what they wanted? Couldn’t even confirm if it was vegan at that point. Called the restaurant and was advised a manager would contact me the next day as they ‘was not happy’ about it however no response yet. Will probs be my last order sadly

Have ordered from here a few times and have really enjoyed each order. However, we placed an order on Uber eats, with an estimated arrival time of 35-45 minutes later. No problem we thought. However after almost 2 hours of our order not being out for delivery and the restaurant not answering our calls, we’ve opted to cancel our order and order elsewhere as they clearly don’t our custom. I get that they may be busy, but to not answer the phone or provide any update is not good enough! Real shame as the food is great!

Delicious and amazing sandwiches

Epic food but dont expect it to ever be ready for your pick up time. Wait time is often up to 30 minutes after you arrive to collect.

Tasty pittas, decent quality. The pittas are cooked from fresh and really sets them apart from other sandwich/wrap places. Worth a visit.

Great staff, great food, great price

I appreciate that the food is made fresh but they could do with advising customers that they can expect a 25min wait for an order of a single pitta due to them prioritising huge orders from the various delivery companies over their walk in customers. A heads up when ordering that the wait would be that long or at least an acknowledgement during the 25mins I stood there would have gone a long way.

Beautiful fresh pitta with a range of salad selections and fillings. You can either have a salad or a pitta (recommending the lovely pittas). Make it a meal with fries and a drink for a few £ extra. It is a bit pricey and you have to pay for sauces but that is the only downside. It’s quite a delicious place to eat and would recommend it to everyone.

Best lunch in Sheffield imo and I've eaten out a lot. The pittas are so soft and huge. The fillings are stuffed in there. So much meat. Can have over 10 different salads in there too including feta and olives. Really good value for money. I have not tried anything as good yet

Very poor and almost laughable experience. My friends found it comical too when I told them about it so sadly this place is on the blacklist of eateries never to visit. EDIT: in reply to the below yes definitely the correct venue. I'm presuming I spoke with you 2 days ago, you were so difficult and I walked out. You gave me unreal service and even your staff behind you seemed embarrassed at what you were saying. You weren't even apologetic at how difficult you were being, just blunt and rude. Odd way to run a business.

Seemed like an age to open and I was a bit sceptical as to how well a pitta shop would do on Woodseats but have been several times and have to say the food and service are both fantastic.I noticed today you are opening another branch down on Hunters bar I'm sure this will be equally as successful.

Our order was not complete,we ordered 4 drinks that we did not receive,after speaking to someone at Urban Pitta I was told to get in touch with Uber Eats as it was their issue!..It states on the receipt 4 drinks so clearly an issue at Urban Pitta.. Please check your orders before sending them out!

Lovely food not a belly buster kebab but quality meat and great salad options

I recently visited Urban Pitta based on high recommendations, but unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing. Upon arrival, I noticed that the place wasn't too busy, but it did get busier as time went on. However, what bothered me was the lack of attention and slow service. When we arrived, three paramedics also entered the restaurant. Two of them placed their orders before us, and the third placed their order after us. Surprisingly, all three of their orders were served before ours. While I understand that their job might require immediate attention, it was disheartening to see that our order was neglected. We patiently waited for approximately 20 minutes after the paramedics left, which is quite excessive for a simple subway-style restaurant. Even regular pizza places or sit-down restaurants serve much quicker than Urban Pitta. This extended waiting time left us feeling frustrated and disappointed. Overall, I had high expectations for Urban Pitta, but unfortunately, they fell short in terms of service and efficiency. I hope they can improve their customer service and ensure that all customers are served in a timely manner, regardless of any external factors. I hope this review helps others make an informed decision about their visit to Urban Pitta.

Nice fresh options and quality ingredients. Friendly helpful staff, and a great new addition to Woodseats. Came back a couple of months later and they're hopping! Really busy lunch crowd and a kitchen working hard. The food is delicious, but now comes in a lake of (still delicious) sauces unless you ask for less.

First time eating at Urban Pitta. Drive past the shop all the time and always see people in it. Shop is very nice and modern inside. Small though. Food itself is a simple menu which I prefer. I went for the chicken pitta. I ordered online and found it awkward trying to order sauce with my pitta. As I didnt not recognise any of them and had to Google to see what sauce.. The food itself wasn't anything special. But it was very fresh and the pitta was soft and fluffy. I wouldn't rush to go here but wouldn't complain going here either I would just try different sauces each time. Is abit on the cheap side as I was expecting to pay more for the pitta. But the fries alone are quite expensive and makes sense to make it a meal then buy individual as you get the fries and drink for the same price as you would get just fries. If that makes sense.. Very authentic 👌🏾

Beautiful food, freshly cooked and great quality. Love the salad and sauce selection. I've tried several of the salads and they were all delicious, the halloumi one is absolutely gorgeous! It is becoming a regular place for me to get takeaway.

I came to urban pitta with some friends as one them highly recommended it. I was unsure what the premise was and ended up being pleasantly surprised with the fast-food style pittas and salads. You can order and takeaway or dine in like we did. If you are eating in there is limited (but comfortable) seating. I ordered a grilled chicken pitta with halloumi, fries and and a drink. When ordering your pitta or salad it is a system like many fast-food chains with picking a meat option, salad/veg options, sauces and toppings. We waited about 5-10 minutes for the food to be brought to us. The pitta was stuffed with meat which is great and full of flavour. The flaming fries and fried halloumi were crispy and flavourful. The price is very competitive (compared to something like McDonald's), especially when you think about portion size and quality. Would be very happy to go again. If you don't know the area the location is on a busy main road with no dedicated parking so you may need to find some down a side street nearby. Delivery options are available instead.

So happy to tried something new to me after watching review on YouTube. Great delicious food and service.

We have ordered previously from just eat and the food and service have been excellent… today we placed an order well before closing and the order was rejected by urban pitta …we called the takeaway and no one was willing to try and resolve the issue … we are trying to support local businesses but the attitude of the staff and the unhelpfulness we received will ensure we never use this takeaway again …

Garbage, ordered through just eats, on our way home we had a notification to say the restaurant refused our order and it was cancelled. I called them direct and they couldn't have been more unhelpful. I appreciate we ordered through just eat but with a cancellation of the order and an offer of a full refund ( through no fault of our own) I tried to order again with them directly, what a waste of time I have used them before and the food is average at best, to jump through hoops to try and support a local enterprise is beyond loyalty Average food, terrible attitude, go somewhere else #deservetofail

Really delicious food. The grilled chicken pitta was fabulous .

This place is amazing, freshly cooked pittas (we saw the dough balls being brought up to cook) and freshly cooked chicken and steak. Plenty of fresh ingredients, salad, sauces and more to go on top. I didn’t find the fiery chips hot at all but they were good. Whenever I’m back in the area I’m definitely heading back. We had a chicken and a steak pitta. They were both excellent.

Simply outstanding meats spiced perfectly, fresh baked pitta bread an abundance of fresh salad to choose from, topped with a great choice of sauces/dips extremely friendly and helpful staff very knowledgeable about the menu YOU JUST HAVE TO TRY IT!!!!!!

Very slow service for serving customers.

I had my food delivered through Just Eat. Beautiful fresh, tasty food. I can't recommend it enough. I had the Halloumi bowl and it was all exceptionally tasty. I will definitely use again.

Definitely one of the nicest things I’ve ever eaten in Sheffield (maybe anywhere). Will 100% be back. Great vegetarian options too. And the fresh made pittas were incredible. And very reasonably priced.

Came here after seeing it on Rate my takeaway. It was as good as it looked on the video super clean amazing presentation great customer service. The Pitta 🥙 was freshly baked, light and held everything together that was inside it perfectly, no grease at all, felt healthy seasoning on the chips was beautiful. Salad selection is fantastic. Good Prices,10/10 for me. I hope this business continues to thrive we need more independent businesses like this.

Real shame, think they were just really busy today but poor experience all round. Had to wait more than half an hour for a falafel salad and when I got home they'd forgotten the fries and the salad was completely different to what I ordered. Called to speak to someone, no answer. Ended up using my whole lunch break for a salad I didn't order and only got half of what I paid for.

Went in for the first time a few weeks ago and has become a regular place to grab lunch 🥙 staff always friendly and remind you of the steps to order as I can forget as I’m thick. Highly recommend!

Was down on business from West Yorkshire had seen the review of Urban Pitta on Rate my Takeaway. As a former Sheffield resident, I thought I'd give it a go. Can honestly say this place is terrific 👏 Clean premises, good display of menu and ingredients/ toppings. The falafel pitta was very well put together with a great taste, crunchy and blend of sauces make it a delicious snack. I hope they open one in West Yorkshire, ideally Huddersfield 😆

My fave take away in Sheffield! Great value for money and you can choose from a great selection of sauces and salads included in the cost. Hugely recommend the halloumi pitta! They did once forget to put my sauces on when they were busy which was disappointing but i will undoubtedly be returning! Excellent food

Great food, lovely staff, only thing lacking is the speed of service. They're clearly always slammed with delivery orders on top of walk-ins. Think they need more workspace to match demand. Currently, only one person can assemble one meal at a time, which isn't really enough.

Second time that we've ordered a delivery. First time was excellent. This time , it got to half an hour late and the phone kept going straight to voicemail. We had driven halfway to the premises when we got a call to say that it had arrived. The food would have been excellent again if it hadn't been cold.

My family and I had great take out pittas. Really nice options, fresh salad and sides, good portions. Well priced. And all packaged in paper and cardboard. No plastic, no polystyrene. Our meal was great. Looking forward to our next time!

Got to say that when my son suggested a pitta for dinner I was a bit underwhelmed. However I went for the chicken with salad and chips and it was delicious. Love that you can tailor it in terms of spreads, salads and sauces etc. Will definitely get food from here again 😋

I have had their salad bowls 3 times now and each time they are delicious, fresh and flavoursome food. So happy to have this little gem in Woodseats. Reasonably priced too.

I'd heard a lot of people talking about Urban Pitta and decided to try one today. The Pitta was lovely- Tender & Tasty Chicken, beautifully fresh salad ingredients. Definitely a new favourite! We will be back and next time I'm going to try a Salad Bowl as they looked lovely. The decor of the shop is great too. We ordered online and said our order would be ready at 13:20pm, it wasn't ready when I arrived just before that time however, I didn't wait long and I received my order within 5 minutes. There was a few people in the shop you could tell was frustrated and presumably had been waiting a while for their order. Customer service was great, the women behind the counter apologised to myself and all other customers for their wait when serving. I think there is too much pressure on the staff. Personally I think there needs to be more staff to deal with the volume of orders on such a busy road/popular road.

Came here tonight for the first time was looking forward to going here food options looked good and the staff on the front seemed friendly if a little disorganised but i just thought it was because they were busy at first. However I waited 35 mins for a pitta with steak and I went to check if i had been forgotten as the customer that was served in front of me left within 10mins, to which I had been forgot about. The staff did apologise and my food was ready however held under some sort of hot light....as I had been waiting so long and now late to pick my son up I had taken the food without checking and went, but as it had been under a hot light for so long the salad was starting to go brown by the time I got home. Appreciate mistakes happen and the staff apologised however for what I paid the standard was not what I expected plenty of other GOOD takeaways and restaurants in the area I won't be back here unfortunately, 1st and last visit.

Ordered for collection and was told it would be ready at 12:45, turned up at the place at 12:40 just to let them know I was there when it's ready - they hadn't even started cooking it. Didn't get my order until 12:55 which didn't leave me enough time to enjoy it before going back to work. Awfully slow

The best takeaway I’ve ever had in my life ever. If I was stuck on a desert island and only had to eat one food ever again it would be urban pita.

Genuinely such incredible food. I'm usually very picky on steak in wraps and pitas as it can be off cuts but the steak in the pita was incredibly well seasoned and it just tasted amazing. The fries were very well seasoned and cooked as well. Will definetly be going back

Excellent new healthy fast food establishment - the salads are wonderful and very filling. Possibly getting a bit smaller since the initial opening but still worth the money. Recommend ordering ahead on the website as it gets busy.

First time trying this place out and the food was beaut. Chicken was cooked to perfection and everything else was really fresh. Friendly girls working the front too, Highly recommend.

I have eaten chicken pitta, the chicken was cooked to perfection, and nicely paired with the salads and aioli sauce. I highly recommend it.

Visited several times since it opened. Can not fault the quality and taste of the food. Been good every time. Customer service is ok, polite girls serving but the guys I see working in there never look happy, never a smile for customers. Only giving 3 stars and doubt I would return because they have changed the salads! First few times went in could select as many salads as like on your pitta, for me this is the best bit, love the variety and of course don’t expect huge quantities of it. Now can only select 6! Or be charged extra for anymore you want. My pitta had barely any salad, spread or sauce in it! The girls were clearly mindful of amount they were adding! It’s just a little mean for my liking sorry.

Went here a month ago food was lovely and a fast service. The woman that served me was friendly and helpful. 10/10. Went yesterday bloke served me, found him unfriendly didn't even look at me when taking order. Had a long wait for my food. When the woman that served me before turned up. She was friendly and apologised for the long wait. Looking at other reviews it seems like there may be some people that have people skills and others not so much.

Lovely food, fresh tasty...... Really very good. The fresh baked pittas are sooo nice and love that you have so many options. You should defo try it.

Uber eats driver didn't pick up all order and items missing. Staff personally delivered missing items when made aware. Great service. Amazing food!

Really tasty and good value ordering directly through the website. Tried all 3 veggie mains as pittas and honestly enjoyed every single one and how generously packed they are. Beyond meat in a pitta is better than as a normal burger, halloumi was delicious, falafel I think is more Lebanese style so a bit dry but still fragrant and tasty. We'll be back.

Cannot fault this place! I've had the Beyond Meat in a pitta with htipiti, aioli and salad (the beyond meat patty was flame grilled so oozing with flavour), a halloumi pitta (tonnes of halloumi packed in) with pesto and tzatziki (sauces are all freshly made, no rubbish from a jar here), and flame fries, which are crispy and smokey with fresh herbs and just a slight bit of heat to give it the flavour (I'm terrible with spicy food and would definitely have them again). Staff are all excellent and work very hard to make your order beautiful - will highly recommend and will definitely be coming back! P.S - I hope they franchise!

Awesome experience. First time visiting and the staff were amazing. Food was freshly prepared, and salads were all fresh and tasty. We had the grilled chicken and grilled steak. Both well cooked and prepared. The flame fries were a bonus. I didn't expect that, was really really good. Mango n pear smoothie was a hit too. Also had a chai latte to top it off. Definitely recommend 👌🏽

The food is great but they have to get better at the service.. I have been several times now and on some occasions I haven’t been served for about 10 mins then the wait is another 20 minutes for someone to put the food into a pitta. 5 star food 3 star service and speed.

You order online and pick a time but they don’t start making it till you arrive resulting in a big delay (after a Q to get in). Wouldn’t recommend

First time order from here - had a great quality chicken pitta (with proper bread) and there was a wide range of fresh fillings to choose from. Really enjoyed it and will definitely be going back. Great chips too!
