Had my wedding reception here. Just perfect!! Everything I wanted and more. Pansy and Jez lovely people, food was 10/10 and the restaurant/ table decoration looked fabulous. Just wish I could do it all again. Xx

I am so glad we found this restaurant it is fantastic. The food is amazing. Every dish is so tasty It takes ages to choose from all the delicious meals on the menu. Really friendly feel to the restaurant and the owners are so helpful.

My husband and I have just left and I couldn’t wait to write a review. I honestly didn’t want the food to end. It was so beautiful. The atmosphere was so lovely-intimate, but private enough that you couldn’t hear other people’s conversations. I had the Brie starter and then the chicken, and I was absolutely thrilled. Can’t wait to go back again. Thank you much to the lovely staff. We loved it :)

Always welcomed by Jeremy and Pansy cooks the most tasty meals for us. We had a wonderful pre Christmas dinner last night and it was as always delicious and the atmospher was warm and friendly. Highly recommended. Give it a try you will not be disappointed. We hope you both have a wonderful Christmas as soon as you can stop and relax. See you again in 3 weeks time.

The first time at this restaurant but certainly won't be the last. Lovely bar area and the restaurant looks beautiful. The staff are friendly and attentive. Atmosphere was great. The food we had was amazing. We are already arranging our next visit with more friends.

We visited Plesters on Friday for the first time. Absolutely beautiful little place, beautiful food and lovely people who run the show are family, what an amazing team you make. Great place with great food and caring family who run this business. We were so impressed we booked again before leaving. The prices are good too and everything is home made.

Four of us ate here on Friday Night. Every dish was cooked beautifully from the steaks that two of us had, to the fish stew and the jerk salmon. Our starters were a dream with jerk chicken for one. Black pudding with quails egg for me and mushroom & goats cheese for two of our party. Home made dessert to follow completed a lovely evening. We drank a Tempranillo which was as subtle and flavoursome as the rest of the meal. The price list for all the wines is very reasonable and the menu prices will not break the bank. I could wax lyrical for some time about this restaurant. if you're looking for an evening out with excellent food, quiet ambience and attentive service, look no further than Plesters.

The food here is excellent nicely seasoned and very well cooked by the chef from an open kitchen extremely clean place even though the restaurant was full the staff were attentive the amount of time between courses was timed really well I would recommend this restaurant and we will be visiting again

Took advantage of a Groupon offer as a gift from our son. Couldn't fault the food at all absolutely excellent. Our starters were Black pudding and quail egg and for me mushroom with feta cheese. For mains I enjoyed haddock on a bed of mashed potatoes and cabbage and hubby had pork in a peppercorn sauce with vegetables. Can highly recommend all dishes. The waiter tried hard to sell us a desert but too full to enjoy one

We bought a voucher for a 2 course meal. I didn’t want a starter so planned that my 2 courses would be a Main course and Dessert. When we placed the order, we were told that we couldn’t have a Dessert as a part of the voucher. We were charged the extra for the dessert and as I didn’t want a starter we lost out. The cheapest starter was £7.50 but the Dessert was only £5.90 so it would not have cost them anything to make that substitute as a generous gesture. The end result is that we left feeling a bit cheated and are not sure if we will return. I had the smoked haddock dish and the fish was overcooked and a bit leathery. My husband had the sirloin steak and it had a lot of gristle in it. Sorry not to sound more positive.

We were bought a voucher for Christmas for this restaurant and had never gone past or been before. WOW is all I can say, the food was delicious and the service was fab. We had 3 courses and wine, we couldn't fault anything and would definitely recommend.

This is our go to family restaurant. Excellent hosting by Jeremy and never had a less than fantastic meal cooked by Pansy. How she runs that kitchen by herself with such calm is amazing. We went to James Martin Manchester last weekend - Pansy’s chips blew his away. I can also recommend the rib eye - never tasted a better one so much flavour. The menu at starter and main for £22 is excellent value. Once again a fantastic evening

We have been twice since this excellent restaurant was able to open again after Lockdown. You can see the safeguards in place from using their hand sanitiser wipes before they give you the menu to watching them wipe down the menu’s after you have used them. This is a small family run restaurant but they have taken out tables to give good spacing between them. This must be costing them income but they take safe guarding customers very seriously. You will feel safe.The food is excellent and again you can see Pansy cooking from the open kitchen wearing her mask. We love this restaurant and was one of the main things we missed during lockdown. I admit I am very worried about COVID-19 and do not go out anywhere other than this restaurant. I have my food delivered and I am very very careful but I can recommend this restaurant. I am not being paid to say this I just love the restaurant and they need support so please give it a try.We have booked again for 2 weeks time it is so so good

We missed this restaurant so much during Lockdown 2020 and really enjoyed our meal tonight after almost 4 months. I have worried about COVID so much as I am 66 and have not been anywhere at all for 4 months but I felt safe and protected here. Jeremy greeted us and as always had our read wine breathing for us. Pansy cooked out meals to perfection as always. Booked again for 2 weeks time giving us something to look forward to. Thank you again

Thank you Pansy for the excellent Takeaway Fish and Chips tonight it was so good to eat your wonderful food. We have not been out of the house for 3 months and so tonight was an exciting time even though it was just eating your fish and chips in the car before going home again. So looking forward to when you will be able to open the restaurant again. Average food. Poor disinterested service. Small pokey and cramped. Not a delightful experience as expected.

Came to this steak house in a group of 5 for my sons birthday, we used the groupon voucher for 4 of the group and the other 1 person ordered without a voucher. Ok the only reason I purchased this groupon deal was because the picture of the surf & turf look pretty amazing, unfortunately the steaks that came out of the kitchen didn't not live up to the groupon picture. Also the other member of the groupon was told he could not order of the fixed price menu .... And only from the A la carte menu .....Why ? Because we had a groupon voucher ...... Seems silly to me. This is not a steak house that is appealing on the outside, inside is ok, very limited on draught beers ( only one available on the 26 May 2016 ).Front of house staff member had no customer service skills,In my honest opinion if this restaurant does not alter it will not be trading in the next financial yr !!!Ps 1st and last visit .....
