Ordered 2 milkshakes, one strawberry, one mini eggs. Very disappointed! Loads of ice and skimmed milk were used in it, making it taste weak and watery. The strawberry one was favoured with Crusha, and the mini egg one didn’t use Cadbury mini eggs, which is what I was expecting.

Today I purchased a bagel – it was quite nice. However, it came in three bags – a white one, one that was half plastic [so I could see the white one inside?] and a big, sturdy brown paper one. I also received eight napkins. One bagel, three bags, eight napkins – what a waste of material. I know how this business could save money!

Just had the best bagel ever. Lets track back a little. I walk into the shop with a few mates after a mad one. I order a New Yorker Bagel. Now disaster strikes, my card isn't working. I'm trying my best don't know what to do when a absolute blessing of a man says. "If your card ain't working you can pay another day mate". I'm ecstatic at this point, buzzing you could say. This however was not the outcome as a mate offered to pay for me. Either way this gentlemen of a man was so nice, luverly bloke. When my mate pays and my new Yorker bagel arrives I dig in. It was brill. Jesus Christ couldn't believe it. Thanks urban kitchen for a great experience. WHEYYYY UP THE VILLA :)

Orribile place, I wouldn’t raccomand this place to none. I went with my partner and another couple, we order a drink and went to dance. After it my friends went to take another drink and it’s been denied by the bouncer. We ask why and to talk to the manager. We never manage to talk to the manager but instead we been kicked out without any reason. I tried to talk to the bouncer but he just kept shouting on me to get out, he didn’t want to explain why we couldn’t drink considering that we were not drunk and was just the second drink my friends were ordering. The bouncer was a short guy with blond short hair pointing up. He is been really aggressive towards me( woman) but I was just trying to understand what was his problem. I think he didn’t like the fact that we are foreign. At the end we went out because he wouldn’t listen to anything but just shouting… Another thing is that we paid 5£ each at the entrance without receiving any receipt. So I’m wondering if this plaice is actually paying tax on the money that they are asking at the entrance. If you are in Reigate do somewhere else, you will definitely find more fun.

A member of staff got our drink order wrong and when corrected, rolled her eyes and spoke back rudely to us. Bouncers are only happy if you’re a guy buying lots of drinks or a woman with your tits out. Was told to leave because my friend was apparently too drunk even though several men were actually falling over and we were merely just enjoying our evening. As we were LEAVING the bouncers pushed my friend multiple times so hard she almost fell over. When I addressed them to stop, two of them picked me up like I was a doll and took me outside. I’m absolutely appalled and disgusted at the abuse, particularly when I know if it was a 6ft guy like the ones who were actually falling over drunk, they wouldn’t have picked them up like that. I have finger bruising on my arm from how hard they grabbed me. DO NOT GO HERE!

The bar is very nice & music good. The ladies toilets are disgusting & really let the establishment down if they are trying to attract new guests. Both toilet seats were broken in the ladies toilets. Very dirty you had to move the seat in order to actually have a wee. The loo roll rain out. As so few ladies toilets for amount of guests they need to regularly check them and clean them. When we arrived they closed one of the bars in the main dance room. The queue to get a drink was ridiculous so slow & maybe if they could serve women rather than the men first all the time. They do not have enough staff in dance floor bar & need to keep both bars open. The other bar in the piano room was better but why should customers have to walk into another room to get served

Cocktails are premium priced drinks these days based on the experience of the mixologist and the quality of alcohol and mixers. There are no mixologists here, just bartenders. I watched premium cocktails costing £10 at a minimum being made with Gordon's gin and fruit juice from cartons. The mixers used for gin costing £9 were Schweppes instead of the advertised Fever tree tonics. Number9 calls itself a piano bar that is the perfect place to relax for the more mature client. Please don't be fooled, it is not. There is a piano and a singer who is pleasent, but the volume of which the music is played through the speakers is deafening not relaxing. Between sets the speakers blast music from the early 2000s, which is great fun but not what I was expecting from something that calls itself a piano bar. The tickled ivory it is not and never will be. By 9.30pm it fills with local youths dressed like they are straight from TOWIE that are too drunk to care about the quality of their drinks or cocktails. There are plenty of nicer bars and pubs in Reigate that would be worth your time and money

The location? Tick. The customers? Tick. A wealth of willing students to run it? Tick...oh if only they had the management...I sincerely hope they relabel this listing so that people realise that junction 8 coffee (the actual name of this kiosk) has nothing to do with the good people of urban kitchen down the hill; urban kitchen don't need this sort of negative association.Firing staff with no warning or reason seems to be common place, as does belittling employees as young as 16 for taking a ten minute break during an 8+ hour shift spent completely on their feet. One eager young lad was even dismissed 45 minutes before his first ever shift for being 'late'. Never one to admit being wrong, the manager refused to reconsider or let him explain. The hygiene standards at this place are extremely questionable too...from dates on ingredients being changed past health code regulations to employees being encouraged to not wear gloves during food prep ('why wear gloves, they're no cleaner and it's faster without them') it's no wonder this place only holds a 3 out of 5 health rating. Don't get me wrong, most of the staff here are lovely and do try their best with what they're given, but when the example you're given to follow is that the customer is never right (have witnessed paying patrons being told to take their business elsewhere when telling staff their orders have been made incorrectly) and that loudly discussing customers in a derogatory manner within earshot is an acceptable state of play, you sort of feel like they're being set up to lose. Now some good points; the coffee is generally good, as is the cake (frozen, not made in house) and the muffins (frozen, not made in house). The staff do generally put on a cheery face and try their best; to their credit it can get manic up there. The shop sells dog friendly ice cream which is always a bonus when walking the pooch. However cannot bring myself to endorse a company run by such an unpleasant person. Would rather make my own coffee and (frozen) cake.

I like the food and coffee at UrbanKitchen in the town centre, but don't have reason to use it much since an office move. As I walked the dogs in Priory Park at the weekend, I decided to stop by their Cafe outlet for a coffee and breakfast roll. The cafe wasn't very busy and I was greeted by a very friendly girl who took my order. She had only one sausage bagel left (at 10am on Sunday?) so I ordered that and an americano. I was given a numbered tag to take to my table outside where the dogs waited. I offered my debit card for payment and without asking this was swiped on the contactless machine without asking. THAT really bugged me. I never use contactless. I don't believe it's secure, and this just proved it to me. Anyone can swipe your card and there's nothing the card owner can do about it.After 5 minutes or so, my bagel appeared at the table but not the coffee. It was waiting for me inside. Well why wasn't that explained at the counter when I ordered? The coffee was great. The bagel needed some moisture so I added a squirt of brown sauce, but butter on the bagel would have been equally good. Good value, pleasant staff, beautiful surroundings, but I really object to having my card swiped without being asked.
