Costa Coffee in Reigate and Banstead

drinks were absolutely phenomenal, staff were lovely, however there were builders screaming and swearing and throwing tools on the floor when we visited. i of course understand that the staff cannot help what other people do but there was no effort to ask them to quiet down or even to just lay off the swearing as there were a number of young children in the cafe and it was incredibly unpleasant. i usually really like this place but im disappointed with my recent visit and id recommend sticking to the costa in redhill town centre if you can.

I drink at a lot of costas but have a soft spot for this one. The guy this morning for example was just nice and polite and it just helps the day start well.

Staff were good but toilet doors were broken so seemed like they were constantly occupied. Not the best experience

Friendly staff. Nice quiet place to sit early morning. Sometimes could be cluttered with cardboard boxes at a corner.

Costa Reigate gets busy but the friendly staff handle it well. It's a nice venue in a convenient location. You can park for free in the supermarket car park.

I ordered vanilla coffee. I couldn't taste any vanilla but they charged me for it. No seats. I went in around 3.15pm. They had blocked off half the seating despite being busy. They weren't closing so I don't understand why everytime I come, half the seating is closed. It could be early afternoon or late afternoon always closed seating off early. The staff are always lovely and they brought my drink to my table which they didn't have to. So always pleased with the staff. I had to sit near the toilet because of no other seats and I needed a table for doing my work. The loos have no buffer door so it stinks out the whole area. I had to drank quickly and left because the smell was so bad. I really wish I could come and be able to sit for a while and write I'm just so fed up of the seating always being closed.

A regular visitor here, staff is polite and looks after you very well. Food quality is consistent with other Costa outfits. There is generally plenty of space to sit down. A special shout out to Leanne. She was working alone today and there was a long queue to be served. We were amazed by her speed and calmness at the under pressure. Our order was delivered as requested. Many thanks Leanne!!

Friendly staff and very clean dining areas.

I used to love getting coffee from here, however all of the staff which knew how to make a good coffee left. Not too keen on the blend here and the coffee isn't always hot. On the bright side the staff are efficient.

As a disabled person I had to go up in the lift to a toilet -which had not been checked for 6 hours, had no toilet paper and was filthy dirty. A sign said to tell a member of staff- there were 2 working hard to serve people downstairs - not even time for them to even clear the tables - won’t be back!!!!

Had such a great friendly service from Luke today right before the school rush. Normally an ok costa to go to, but Luke made it 10/10 today

Terrible service . Always a long wait - never got what you want to order - decaffeinated coffee , always people returning their orders as prepared wrong , terrible

Is it me or has this Costa gone downhill rapidly, slow, rude, more interested in answering the phone. And a smile wouldn't harm. Terrible so after years of loyal Attendence, now going to Nero

The food wasn't cut at all, the drinks were over filled with milk so it kept spilling and was very cold

In the morning only two people at the counter with a waiting time of 5 minutes at least.

Busy busy but Amira the barista apologised for the wait - she was going pretty fast and remained cheerful and courteous. Other staff friendly and customer oriented too. Coffee nice and hot when it came.

Really bad Costa, that used to be good. Not sure who is running the place but there is lady always shouting making the coffee when I go. You could feel the tension when waiting for the coffee. Which impacts on the service which is slow. The tables are also very dirty and plates and cups piled up.

Stopped for a coffee recently on a Saturday morning. Amazingly, the place was clean and tables weren't cluttered as they usually are. Coffee good as usual. Maybe with the competition of a recent opening of Starbucks nearby has had an impact?

Changed my review from 5 star to 1 star. Used to be a nice cafe, now has gone really downhill. Seems to be a fly infestation on the walls? Not seen any tables cleaned. On my last 2 visits they got my order wrong or didn't have the ticket. Lots of people hovering around waiting for their orders. Will not be returning any time soon.

Why do Costas always suck so badly!! Gave up visiting years ago after numerous bad experiences!! Though I would try the Christmas drinks and given them another try. Well please to say they are constant, even if it's consistently bad!!! Place has the usual we have given up run down feeling at the majority of Costas have. Supplemented with the foul smelling toilets you come to expect. Long wait to be served. The went I tried to take my drink it was snatch away and I was told it wasn't mine!!. Then gave my order to the other barista who then gave me the order they have previously refused to give me!! All rather embarrassing. Then had to clear my own table as they can't be bothered to do that either!! Reinforced my usual experience of the brand and won't be rushing back!!! Also served my drink in a takeaway cup despite wanting to drink in. Guess the staff prefer to save on washing up than worry about saving the planet!!!! Finally the toblarone inspired drinks taste nothing like toblarone, so charge a premium for nothing!!

The staff is friendly and attentive. The venue is clean and the coffee is always perfect. The location is perfect because parking options are just round the corner.

We visit this coffee shop regularly but service is getting terrible so we have started going to Caffè Nero instead. The problem is lack of staff and the ordering process. Orders are taken at the tills but are processed by another member of staff. As the tills can take orders faster than the coffee can be made this leads to huge queues. People often leave the back iof the queue because they have to wait so long, especially on a Saturday morning. I don't understand the attitude of the business in understaffing.....surely the cost of another member of staff would be more than offset by the non_,loss of business.

Good store, plenty of seating. It is a little tucked away down a side alley way by Morrisons. But it’s in between the park and high street.

Don’t often review places and would consider myself a regular customer. Of late the service is absolutely dreadful a complete shambles. Orders all over the place, no organisation. Queues of people waiting for coffee, orders being yelled.. hardly a pleasant experience. I doubt I will come back, plenty of places to go that don’t make you wait 40mins to get coffee. Second time it’s happened, so it’s not an isolated experience.

Nipped into this high street Costa for a quick takeaway, as I tried to walk in, I had a choice of which double door to pull open,left or right, both doors stating pull on the handle, I pull the one that's locked, as there's no sign stating it's locked, it makes a bit of a noise, then I just enter through the other door. As I walk in, I'm greeted by what can only be described as a short haired, rather large lady, with a face like a slapped back side standing behind the counter, stairing at me, stating rather loudly, "really!" As if I was meant to know what door to come through. I had a 50/50 chance and got it wrong, This is why I don't gamble. I genuinely feel sorry for the other staff that have to work with that! Probably go to a garage next time, as I got a better reaction from a machine. Still great coffee though :-) Cheers

To my embarrassment I made a mistake ordering the daily coffee. The manager sorted it all with good grace and no fuss. Made a positive difference to my day.

Great café at a brilliant location between the park and the High Street. Nice friendly service and good products.

Lots of clattering, voices echoing, doors banging, hand dryer from the toilet whirring plus the coffee making machine going of course. Table wobbling. Hence not a very relaxing visit. Coffee good though!

Friendly staff, probably due a makeover

Absolutley awful service, got my order wrong, then found it funny when they got it wrong and then took forever to provide a replacement along getting other people's orders wrong. Young immature staff members should not be left to represent a business as they're not mature enough to understand the responsibility that comes with that they should always be partnered with an adult.

I was out purchasing a small quantity expendables In Costa Coffee Reigate and dissatisfied by the service on which I received and my fellow colleagues received. We were made to feel like nothing at all and this is not what I want when I am spending nearly £5 for abysmal service from this establishment. An absolute disgrace.

Costa in reigate is lovely but the waits are long. Saying that the staff are awesome. Love the coffee art they put into their coffees xxx

Best Costa Coffee in the local area. All of the staff are so friendly and amazing, makes me coffee when they see me walk in so I've got my order by the time I've paid. Coffee seems to taste better here compared to others I've been too which show the staff know how to make coffee without rushing it. Thank you for the great team

Had my lunch today in costa not very good. Had toasted ham and cheese, only toasted one side the other side was soggy. Had a pot of tea, the water wasn't boiled just warm that wasn't good. won't be going for lunch again 😪

Had a delicious mocha again today in Banstead. Tariq and Amy are the best; lovely friendly baristas; it is so lovely to sit and watch them engage with their customers, many of whose drinks they know before they’re even asked! Lovely Costa!

Great coffee shop, staff friendly, tables kept spotlessly clean, good place to relax whilst in Reigate.

No one seems to care in this store - no attention to customers' needs or wishes, bit of a language barrier too. Thankfully there are loads of coffee shops - even the Morrisons Cafe is better and that's saying something

Generally fine for a chain. Staff are friendly and the wait isn't very long but I often find the tables and cafe generally are a bit unclean.

Plenty of tables out of use to ensure social distancing, and dine out to help out offer ensured it was not too expensive. I find costa can be a bit hit and miss but my coffee was good on this occasion.

Best iced coffee around, staff are very friendly and the queues tend to move quite fast. I've been going since it was opened.

Very dirty, from the walls, to the cutlery and plates, everything is just dirty. The selection of food isn't great if you have a dairy intolerance, the only thing you can get is a bacon and chicken sandwich which isn't great if you don't eat pork or a fruit salad. Not very impressed. The americano is drinkable if you really need a coffee but mostly burnt. Only reason to go here is because it opens earlier than the better coffee shops in Reigate. Would not come here otherwise.

The coffee is not too bad here and the barista do not burn the coffee too often, which is a common practice at café Nero (maybe burning everything is in their basic training over there, who knows?) Staff are generally friendly and service is smooth. The one thing that lets this location down is hygiene unfortunately. On many occasions you are greeted by a sewerage scent coming from somewhere or other various unknown (and unpleasant) smells. The walls are absolutely horrendous and look like the walls of an abandoned crack house. The tables and cutlery/kitchenware is always visibly dirty as well which is pretty off putting if you're eating food using it. This location would benefit from an industrial clean and some kind of hygiene review to get it back on track.

I love costa! Great food and coffee and the cafe decoration is fantastic. Definitely recommend this costa if your looking for a place to chill with a cup of coffee and a cake.

Drinking Costa coffee for years, you cannot go wrong with it. Croissant and americano always makes my day.

Having walked around Reigate shops I sought sanctuary in the Costa. The usual food & drink products available. However this outlet seems to have a dreadfully dreary tiring queue. Not that the staff are not personable, but there's a definite lack of efficiency. This manifests itself in lacking clearing the tables & suchlike too.

Great coffee and hot chocolate for little one. smooth and creamy. Sometimes a bit long waiting time in some Costa's but my favourite coffee shop anyway.

They seem to be doing a lot of undisclosed up selling with price gauging. I took my 6 year old in for a hot chocolate they offered cream and marshmallows did not mention it was additional and did not have it listed on the board with the baseline item. If I am going to be a regular somewhere I expect transparency. They also only had one of the head count Manning the coffee machine so the prep time was above average for a Costa.

Good coffee but my cake was stale, however, this was replaced without fuss for a new slice cut from the middle of the loaf of cake, which was also a bit dry but at least it was edible.

Good atmospehere, very expensive though

Visited about 10.15 am on Thurs 27 Dec and found most of the tables were piled with dirty crockery and cups. The place is dark and gloomy and after queuing for some time eventually got our coffees. These were so tepid that we could drink them straight down, they needed to turn up the thermostat. We will in future use one of the smaller independent places where they serve you at your table. Avoid this Costa.

had brekfast there, I think a sandwich and a hot chocolade for almost GBP 6 is quite expensive. But all in all a good experience.

Pop in to get a takeaway peach ice tea and a cake. The ice tea was ok but not the best, way too sweet for me. Costa coffee doesn't seem to be that cheap compare to other coffee houses!

I ordered a medium passion fruit cooler and was very disappointed to see the tiny amount that I was given I wasted £3.25 and I to say the least pissed off. Notwithstanding my friend ordered A small drink and it was stupidly small and she wasted loads of money and this chain is annoying and I'm angry about it. As you can see by this photo, we are not happy

My partner and I stopped by Costa for a quick coffee only, while shopping. One of the things I personally like about Costa coffee is you know what to expect from your visit, and in my experience the quality of the coffee served tends to be very similar in each Costa coffee house. Therefore I knew what to expect and I was happy with the coffee I was served.
