Costa in Reigate and Banstead

Staff are amiable and give good customer service and care.

All was brilliant apart from WiFi and mobile phone reception. Couldn't get online at all

I travel throughout the UK on business and use Costa always. Popped into the Redhill branch today and there were flies (plural) crawling over the clean cups in front of the coffee machine with a member of staff using the coffee machine. Was my coffee cup clean?? Didn't drink it just in case

This was the worst bubble tea i have ever had in my life,no taste ,it took the 50 seconds to make this.never having bubble tea from costa. The customer service is poor with no friendly manners

Particularly vicious air con setting. Take a fleece if you plan to stay awhile in summer. The noise of loud fans needed to blast you with cold air, doubles the uncomfortableness.

Furniture needs replacing. Sadly the seats we used were covered in stains.

The rudest women working there. Spoke to me in a disgusting manner after I mistakenly picked up the wrong order. Rather than approaching me in a professional manner, chasing me at the door shouting. Making the whole store stare at me like I had done something criminal. And with my two children with me so embarrassing and explained to her there was no need to react this way and how unprofessional she was and making everyone stare at me. I cried as there was no need for this type of manner when she could have approached me less aggressively. Very rude staff everytime I come in. Clearly shouldn’t be working with customers.

The sofas need a hoover and at busy times it could be cleaner.. wiping tables after customers leave, sweeping the floor would help to make the atmosphere better. Staff are lovely and make coming there a nice part of your day.

Kit kat mocha has some soggy bits and food is quite expensive. However, the atmosphere of a Costa always has a study laid back vibe. Liked the sofas-nice touch. And customer service was fast, efficient and alright. They did a decent job. There was lots of options but the things I need up picking up by accident such as sparkling water, wasn't great. There chocolate twist was always on point. And the cheese and tomato toasty wasn't all that though. Overall, its decent but a bit pricey. I came from Crawley.

It's always nice coffee and service but is Costas, so obviously it's expensive. Charged for sitting in aswell which bugs me.

It's a Costa, not one I have been to before if you like Costa it's all good and fine. Not the nicest one I've been too but fine for a coffee and a chat.

Its a Costa's..say no more Edit.... won't mention any names but one barista in particular is incredibly moody. Been a few times now and each time she's been surly and unwelcoming. Been to plenty other Costas (and other cafes) and never made to feel like I shouldn't be there!! Whilst I appreciate she is young and it may not be her chosen long term career,maybe a customer facing position isn't for her! Oh well maybe next time I'll get her in a better mood....

I was here today with my mother around 2:15 pm, we waited in line for about 10-15 minutes, which is fine as there were only 2 staff working. We were at the cashier register waiting for a barista to attend us and there were two other ladies behind us. One of the barista went to make a drink and an elderly barista with a tattoo on her neck and blue cast on her arm knowing we were at the start of the line, it seemed she pretended not to see us, she didn’t even ask if our order has already been taken. After that my mom and I completely felt ignored and we just left. My mother felt discriminated as we are asian. It wasn’t like there was a crowd, we felt disappointed and then we completely felt like we didn’t want a drink.

Good and quick service. I went in the morning, so there's lots of seating.

I ordered a simple soya americano and the barista Vira she was very helpful and she had a really good customer service with me, she tried to help me with her heart for a mistake that I had and she insisted to remake the americano as I wanted because I didn’t say to her how I wanted the soya milk, really lovely lady!! I worked for Costa for more than 2 years and i see in her a great future to make customer happy and lovely relation, 10/10 score for her!!! Raise her salary!!!

Fast service with a smile. Drinks made quickly and nice and hot. Not much gluten free options available

Very lovely latte.. Didn't hang the maple Hazel one I wanted but it is a very popular drink so thats not too be unexpected, I was given a choice of alternatives by staff. Got the gingerbread one which is equally as nice

Never open when it's supposed to be. Went on Sunday at 9.30 and told they were not open, even though we walked in. When asked when they open they were very rude and unsure and just said come back in 15-20 mins. Needless to say despite coming here for the past for 4 years as a regular customer. This is the last time. The local coffee shop across the road will now be my regular.

Long queue. 2 girls in the front are serving customers and 3 at the back doing nothing. 20 min waiting. Outrageous!!! No receipt although I asked for it. All tables dirty!

The worst costa I’ve ever been to. 3 teenagers who have no idea what they are doing. One standing around talking, one so useless he shouldn’t be working there and one rushing around making mistakes. Where is the manager here?? They need a staff overhaul or some training. 10 minutes to make one coffee with only one other customer waiting.

Everytime I go in here, their services is soo slow it’s ridiculous! They obviously have a rubbish system and don’t know who’s doing what. I understand they may be short staffed, however I’ve been to other costas where only 2 people have been working and yet our order was done within a couple of minutes and no waiting at all. The day in question, 3/4 people were working and they still said they were understaffed and I waited around 10 mins for my order and the queue was going out the door! I just don’t find it very professional. The service needs work, and if they’re short staffed then maybe agency workers should be appointed until the problem is sorted.

Great coffee for a reasonable price. I got a flat white take away for a little over 3 pounds. There are pastries and cakes and tarts. Also look very good I like the atmosphere that looks very relaxing where you can sit and enjoy coffee for a long time with friends. I also enjoy that they open early around 7 AM, so that I can get my coffee fix in the morning other local coffee shops do not open until 8:30 or even 10 AM

Went in and they were obviously short-staffed which is no issue but the girl who took our order, as good as she was, was very slow. After placing our order and waiting for 5+ mins a guy who I can only assume is the manager comes swanning out of the back with zero sense of urgency to take over making drinks and just to make matters worse, we received 2 milkshakes with no coffee when we'd ordered iced lattes. Go to Busy Beans instead, better service and quality of product. 0/10 will not be returning.

Worst Costa I've been in bar none. Time of visit approx 1pm. Service lousy. Too busy talking whilst serving. Tables filled with empty trays and cups etc from previous customers since morning and floors littered with food that nobody swept. I was there 2 hours and not a soul bothered to clean and tidy. I sat with that high pile of crockery and trays throughout. They only thing I saw was staff replenishing. Maybe understaffed but won't be going there again.

Ideally located within a very short walking distance of the railway station and public transport links. Ample free parking available in the Church walk car park. Although this Costa is very busy, there is normally seating available on either of the floors or outside.

Not enough staff when I went in (early afternoon) every table needed clearing.

Absolute dump. Hardly anyone in here, yet literally almost every table has uncleared rubbish. Waited alone at the till for about 5 min to get served. I’m not sure what the staff where doing but it certainly wasn’t cleaning or clearing tables.. I feel like I need to go home and have a shower after this experience..

Very dirty floor, tables not cleared and toilets dirty with faeces and blood. No evidence of it being regularly cleaned during the day. We will not be going back. Very disappointing

Poor Wi-Fi - often not working. This is an essential for a coffee shop. Luke warm coffee a lot of the time. Staff more intent on having a party than serving customers.

Beer was not expensive as I expected.

Awful. Waited in line for 15 minutes because noone’s manning the till, and once someone did, got told that they’re not serving any cold drinks anymore because a staff left early. 🤦🏽‍♀️ I left rather than get a drink I don’t like. I’d have compassion if all the staff are rushing around, but out of three I’ve seen, only one’s making a drink and the rest are visibly slacking. This is a Saturday afternoon, mind, so the place is almost full. Come on, Costa, hire more people when it’s the weekend.

Service has improved after some uncharacteristic moments

They have staff shortages and shut for at least an hour at lunchtime, I have seen this multiple times and they sit there ignoring elderly customers who are standing waiting for them for ages

I visited this place, I waited for service, but the 2 members of staff were to busy chatting instead of serving. I just ended up walking out & going some where else, where I did get service.

Very very slow service in this Costa. Only one person was making beverages, and he was very slow. After some time, he started working very fast, but the thing was that all the other ladies behind the counter were not helping him.

In my job I visit a lot of the coffee shops in the area. This has to be the worst coffee shop I have ever visited anywhere, the staff are unfriendly and seem to hate their work, no one seems to be in charge and they all seem to decide on a whim to close the shop or stop serving at random times. At present it is 1.30pm on a Monday and the staff, there are 4 of them, have stopped serving to all take lunch at the same time and most are sitting with the customers. They have not put signs up to let customers know this so queues keep appearing and people getting very cross. Also if you enjoy waiting whilst they take an hour to make your (very bad) coffee it is ideal. However it is also so addictive to come in and watch just to see how much worse they can get. Maybe that is why other people are here too. John Cleese is apparently bringing back Fawlty Towers and should look no further than this place for material.

I'd forgotten why I didn't frequent this place any more. Now I remember. Awful at every step despite the new decor. Avoid!

Worst experience ever in this Costa. Staff were more worried about online orders than the queue of people waiting to be served. Waiting 25mins for a coffee to take away!

Not only is the quality poor, they take forever to serve while standing around talking to themselves. Going to Nero.

All new and no experience. No customer service. No management and no structure. No apology. If it wasn't for my free birthday treat code I would of walked out. Queued for 35 minutes. My lunch break is 45 minutes. You can't go on like this. Caffe Nero never does this to me and I love their services. Once bitten twice shy !

Great café! The staff is very kind and professional, works very hard and takes their time for every customer. I loved the music and positive vibe inside. The vegan sausage roll is really nice!🥯

@costacoffee I go to many Costa coffee shops and only in Redhill I have received such rude and unprofessional service from a young lady with a red stripe in her hair who clearly does not like her job and her attitude is appalling to the extent I will not return. a real shame!

Staff are all really lovely despite the fact they always seem short staffed and dishwasher is out of service.

The Reigate Cage Yard store gets a high score from me because service has improved enormously over the past few weeks. There are more staff and the long queues and waiting times that were ways present have largely gone.

Wednesday 9th November we visited this branch of Costa in the centre of Redhill. As we arrived at the counter we were informed that the dishwasher was broken so only serving in paper cups. Also a bit surprised to be told that they would be closing at 17.00, it was only 16.10, detected a bit of attitude, not a good one. We ordered two flat whites, we did redeem our free coffee, loyalty points, so only paid for one, £3.15. The coffee served in a paper cup was bland and lacking flavour. It is a personal preference but much prefer my coffee in a china cup, think it taste better This experience is not what is expected from Costa, disappointing to say the least.

Some businesses returned to trade hours after covid. These have not. What's the excuse? They still close so early it's hardly worth going in the afternoon and the wifi is impossible to log onto. I switch tabs to retrieve my code and it closes the sign on only to have to start all over. I am unable to log on and use the wifi. Infuriating. My large latte nearly always has an inch of foam. Aren't lattes supposed to come without foam? 🙁

So much roomier now the COVID barriers are down Food and drink as expected, hot and tasty

We’ve been Costa customers for a long time but for about a year now the quality of service, food and drinks in the Redhill branch has not been the same. In the summer, we tried to scan the barcode in their app to get the free drink that you’re supposed to get after having purchased 8 drinks before and the lady at the till (who was probably new) couldn’t mark it on the system and we lost the free drink. Then, she insisted that it was our fault and we didn't have a free drink in the first place, instead of admitting her mistake. The situation was not dealt fairly and we were left disappointed. Generally, their service isn’t good - staff don’t know their special offers and tend to be quite unwelcoming. Also, we were served pastries which were dry and have definitely been out for 2-3 days at least. We can make a difference with other branches like the one in Reigate, for example, which has always had great service and better quality food and drinks. We won’t go to the Redhill branch any time soon unfortunately.

Nice place and people, but very popular. Waited in the queue for ages but it was worth the wait.

Staff a little sour, crash out any old coffee without any care or pride in their work.

Decent coffee shop and service however there are never enough seats outside in autumn/winter. If you want a coffee and a smoke then I go elsewhere as there is normally only one table which is taken. The tables are there as well as they are stacked in the shop. They just don't put them out.

I regularly go to Costa on a Sunday morning with friends. I find the coffee nicer than Cafe Nero or Starbucks. At this time of year I treat myself to a toffee penny latte....lovely!

Awful service. Queue was out the door and two of them were just standing there chatting and wandering around aimlessly while only one person served.

I went with my friend for a morning coffee as we like Costa coffee. My coffee was very weak so I asked for a little more coffee to be put in,I didn’t ask for a new one as I could see they were busy. Instead they did me another coffee and it tasted very different and I couldn’t drink it. I didn’t ask for another as staff were not friendly and not a smile from any of them. In fact they looked annoyed because my friend left her second coffee she purchased it as she didn’t enjoy it but didn’t complain. I’m sorry if they don’t like their job but please don’t take it out on us. Won’t go to this branch for a long time.Staff not helpful and do not make you feel welcome.

Not much selections were available when i visited, only a few food choices, the drink was not satisfying, this experience was not that great compared to my usual visits.
