The food was so nice and came really fasf! It’s unfortunate that the staff made me feel uncomfortable and rushed therefore couldn’t enjoy it as much as I would’ve liked.

Been here a few times, last time being just after Christmas, always loved the food, very good quality and portion size. Don't mind paying when the food is good. Which was why I booked it for a birthday celebration last night. We ordered brie and ribs as starters and my son ordered the prawns and his girlfriend duck - which took a while to come. My partner and I noticed right away the portion size was reduced drastically. Approximately 50% smaller. Still tasty but half meat on ribs, half amount of brie, duck very small amount folded in pita bread- didn't taste great. But the worst was the prawns- 4! Prawns! Now I have been raving about this place since my first visit and always order the same main dish, which my partner decided to order too- goats chesse tart with sides of chips and rocket salad, I even keep a picture of it on my phone and have showen it many times. Last nights meals bared no resemblance to it what so ever. So so so disappointed. My son had lamb , which was small and very dry garlic potatoes, his girlfriend had the prawn noodles. The tart looked nothing like it had done previously and the rocket salad which I had loved was so bad and tasteless. Floor staff has always been mediocre but because the food was so good we had always overlooked that. Even the Guinness was served in a wet glass - £6 a pint. This restaurant started off strong but has gone way way down hill. We had been planning to visit this restaurant regularly as we've just moved to the area but sorry to say they've just lost a good repeat customer.

Tastiest meal I’ve ever had! Food couldn’t have been any better and the service was 10/10! Went for lunch here a few weeks ago but made sure to get back for dinner. We were in and out in 45 mins, the service was so quick. Food was piping hot. Starters, Mains, Sides, dips, Guinness it kept getting better, literally cannot be faulted, delicious! Best overall meal I’ve ever had! A must go, thanks to the staff 👌

My wife is still talking about the tomato tart she had for her lunch And let’s face it if you’re excited about a tomato tart it must be special. My honey chilli beef was good as well. Very friendly service and overall an enjoyable lunch on a rainy day in Portrush

Fantastic restaurant and caters on all types of food. Very nice food and must be the best restaurant in Portrush. I had the Spicy beef noodles and with a side dish of Chilli chips. Both were very tasty. The chilli chips have to be the best I have tasted. Staff are very friendly. Service is truest very quick. Highly recommended and would recommend-visit anytime when revisiting Portrush. Cracking value for money. Sat on the High Street in Portrush.

It was very quiet in the restaurant for a Saturday afternoon. I ordered a burger and I always cut it in half to eat it. When I cut into it the middle was cold. I didn’t want to cause a fuss while our party was eating so I did not mention at the time and I didn’t eat the burger. I had ordered chilli and sour cream cubes which I ate some of, but these were swimming in half a bowl of chilli sauce. When the server came to take our plates I mentioned why I had not eaten the burger. He was very apologetic. He then went and spoke to the supervisor/manager but came back with the bill to tell us he tried to get the burger removed but he was not allowed. As someone who owns a food establishment I’ve never seen anything handled this way, not even a discount given or an apology from the manager. I wish I had read some of the reviews before booking Urban as if I had, I would not have been eating here. Would definitely avoid in the future.

Una sorpresa de lugar, realmente agradable y la comida es deliciosa! Todo lo que probamos estaba muy cuidado, los sabores, la presentación y la porción, además de que los precios por la calidad y cantidad son muy accesibles, eso realmente me sorprendió ya que en otros sitios habría costado hasta el doble. Algo que en particular me gusto es que la cocina está a la vista y todo super limpio. La atención es muy buena y siempre están al pendiente de lo que necesitas, definitivamente volvería.

Food was excellent; good portions, good price, tasted great. Service was hit and miss. Initially the waitresses are coming over every few mins but once you've ordered it's very hard to get anything, no offer of any extra drinks, "was everything okay" etc. Open kitchen - lovely to watch. However, watched chefs on their phones, go out for a smoke/toilet, didn't see anyone wash their hands the whole time we were there, which was slightly off-putting. All in all, best restaurant in Portrush. Great food, great price, much better than overly hyped restaurants at other end of the town😉

Good food with great service and pleasant and helpful staff.

Lunch, dinner or whatever, quality is always there! Friendly, efficient staff and on top of that the quality of each dish was absolutely great. The scallops starter with pancetta, peas and pea puree was done perfectly! Main course of steak, cooked just as requested, mushroom sauce complemented perfectly. Ambience in restaurant on a very blustery winter Sunday evening was just the thing to bring you back to Urban in double quick time.

Party of 6 visited on Sat 13 Jan for friends 60th. First time here. The food was amazing, service was very good and staff really friendly and the atmosphere of the place was so good. Well worth the visit from Co Down to Portrush

This is a class restaurant! Son was very impressed with the Parmesan and garlic crusty bread. Portions are good size and alot of thought has went into the menu and presentation. You didn't have long to wait between courses. Staff were friendly

Third time in Ireland was pleasant due to my experience here! I didn’t wait any time to be seated and when I was , it was at a very romantic spot under a yellow light. Very good for a date night. The staff were brilliant- a blonde lady who gave the impression of that she was an owner or manager instructed us where the bathroom was with a smile even when the restaurant was super busy. Our waiter with brown hair and glasses (didn’t catch his name) was very characteristic and positive with looking after us. The staff work brilliantly together and are very kind and funny in our case. The food came in big portions which is good value for the price. The steak I got was amazing and cooked to perfection (medium rare) my wife’s meal noodles were equally as good. Left with a full stomach and slept like a baby after would definitely recommend!

Lovely restaurant with great food. There is a car park very close by. We shared the chicken wings starters. It was absolutely amazing! It comes with a blue cheese dip which I loved. I ordered the Angus burger which was cooked to perfection, my wife had the salt and chilli prawns which she enjoyed. My youngest son had the kids burger which was the same quality as my burger! I love it when restaurants treat the kids menu equally important. Overall, we all enjoyed our meal and will definitely be back.

Friendly people, good service, nice atmosphere and excellent food at a decent price

We started our meal with prawns and poppadoms, but unfortunately, the poppadoms underneath the prawns were soft and soggy. I ordered mine with champ for the main course, but it came with mash instead. My mum's steak was overcooked and chewy. We informed the waiter about the issues, but he brushed them off. Later, while paying the bill, my mum mentioned the problem again. The restaurant staff then asked her if she wanted to take it any further, but it wasn't clear what that meant. We definitely won't be returning to this restaurant in the future.

Booked here for a small Xmas work Dinner - not impressed at all. I was told this was a Wine Bar - sorry didnt get that vibe at all. Ordered the Xmas dinner - a staggering £24 for 1 course ! Dinner came out looked like a pre-packaged dinner tasted bland and really I had to think after “what exactly did I eat?” The Ham was Awful can I add! Other 4star hotels in North Coast are offering 2courses for £30 as a Xmas deal - that’s a hotel and not this ‘Wine Bar’. Music was far too loud - waitresses were very attentive though again Looked very very young and inexperienced and no training or else lack of! Continually stopping by the table no communication but that’s not their fault ! We thanked them for the service The dessert sticky toffee was massive - great! However again tasted bland and the sauce and pudding were freezing - we asked for extra sauce to heat it up - it arrives and it was also freezing. Atmosphere inside felt more like a lunch time stop off and not an Xmas Night out I’m afraid won’t be back for these prices and the food when nearby hotels are offering way more for less

Do yourself a favor and stop by. Chili chicken bowl was FIRE 🔥🔥 We had a large group and everyone raved about their meal. The staff was attentive and the whole place felt like a nice of mix modern and cozy.

This was a terrible experience.! Loud, and the worst food have had for a long time.gammom which tasted like animal. Chips, some ok, some frozen! Very expensive for what it is as all mains dont come with a side, so add on £4. Really couldn’t describe how bad the food was!!!

Five starts all around. Wonderful starters and variety of food. We wanted to try traditional Irish food. They had the best tasting meals we have had in Northern Ireland. The service was top notch. Great desserts as well.

A wonderful dining experience with a varied discount depending on which day of the week you book. Rump steak, tobacco onions, and pepper sauce with a side of garlic cubed fried potato for me and spicy beef bolognaise for the lady. Dessert was pavlova for her and lemon tart with raspberry sorbet for him. Throw in a couple of soft drinks and a bill of less than £50 was a very pleasant surprise. Please pay this place a visit. Great location, great service. The "grilled cod" was steamed at best. But fine. The bolognese was fine. Nothing to write home about. Food was ok. Some dishes were disappointing - the stuffed burgers had a very plastic bun and the party was rubbery. The chips were soggy. The scallops were great.

Another great night out, short notice late booking not a problem. Seated promptly, drinks order taken quick, space to comfortably sit and choose our meals. No constant interruptions and over care. Absolutely gorgeous food and portion sizes. Extremely good value also. Good selection of NA's and other drinks, reasonable price for the wine but one minor complaint is cocktail prices, they're a bit on the high side, even the non alcoholic versions. Other than that small thing 5 stars across the board. Love going back.

Went for lunch on Monday and from the moment we walked in we felt like we were very important customers the vibe was lovely the staff were absolutely outstanding and the food was the best I've tasted in along time.. piping hot full of flavour and absolutely delicious there is not 1 fault I could give this restaurant its food or its lovely staff can't wait to visit again

Had a beautiful meal this evening with our grandchildren, the food was very good, big choice of meals and lovely desserts, all the staff were very approachable and helpful thanks would definitely recommend.

We nipped in to Urban whilst on holiday in the out of season period and this place appeared very popular, I now understand why. The food in this establishment is superb, it has a contemporary menu with a great variety which offered some of the best food selection for my wife who is a pescatarian. The quality of service and food has not been surpassed in my time here in Northern Ireland. I'm very pleased to highly recommend this restaurant, thank you Urban for an outstanding experience.

Cheese fondue delicious and great price compared to Ramore restaurants who don't give enough bread and charge nearly double this price! Portion sizes run a bit big, the lamb rump I was served was actually three portions of rump, had no hope of finishing, chilli beef noodles were sweet but delicious again a very large portion.

We visited Urban on a Sunday evening. Friendly helpful staff, lovely atmosphere. Food arrived quickly. Suspiciously so. I had Peking duck noodles. The duck was extremely over cooked and tasted reheated. Cocktails excellent. Shame about the food quality for the price.

6 of us ate here this week. Food was just okay. Two of the dishes had a distinct taste of washing up liquid which lingered and repeated on us for the following 24 hours. Really not sure what this was, probably/hopefully not washing up liquid but that is the only way I can describe the taste we have been left with in our mouths. The side of fresh vegetables my wife got were frozen, still cold in the middle. The rest of the food was okay. Our waitress was very good, friendly, attentive. That was the strong point of our visit. I would have given 5 stars for service only I tried to phone the restaurant on 6 different occasions on the week prior to modify the booking at different times of the day but couldn't get anyone to answer and had to give up which frustrated me. This was my first time eating here even though I am local. We were disappointed. Overall a very mediocre experience. To be honest, I won't rush back.

Had dinner here last night (24/07/23) as I had heard it was good and wanted something other than Ramore. I had the grilled loin of cod, was very disappointed, it had no taste and was quite rubbery in texture. Should have went to Chequers for a better fish. First and last time dining here.

Lovely atmosphere but very much let down by the food

Cocktails were fabulous, I ordered the blackberry bramble mock tail which was delicious. Chilli chicken noodles for main which was tasty but felt the noodles were a little undercooked.

Service was helicopter service. Was asked 3 times by different staff for drinks and food within 2 minutes of being seated. Noise level was similar to a schoolyard at playtime. Food was well below average. Onion rings were burned to cinder and inedible. Sauces were concealed. French fries were dry and inedible. Steak and lamb rump was tough and fatty. Advised waiting staff of dissatisfaction who were totally indifferent. I would not recommend the Urban Restaurant as an eating venue in Portrush. Most dissatisfied customer.

The scallops for starter were nice but disappointed with both of the mains (chicken rigatoni and peking noodles which we felt had too much sauce & salt) whilst the Belgian chocolate cheesecake didn’t taste of chocolate and had an odd texture.
