Manor House and Golf Club in Coleraine

Booked in for Wednesday evening with my Dad. It was quiet, with a few diners and nice atmosphere. We sat in the conservatory overlooking the golf course. Great views. We both had sizzling beef with garlic fries. It was lovely. Unlike most places where the sizzling beef is set in front of you, and you are surrounded by steam, they serve it on your plate away from the table. Good idea!! Well priced too..Very friendly staff. Will definitely call again.

Another fantastic meal at the Manor Kilrea! Absolutely beautiful food, first class service, great value and seated by the fire - perfect! We all tried different dishes - from the new 3D menu -chicken curry, chilli chicken pasta, battered cod and lasagne - all were delicious. Fantastic value also, £19.95 for a main with side included, drink and dessert! 😊

We ordered off the al la cart menu.The food was excellent and the staff were very pleasant and accommodating of our dietary requirements. Next time we will try their carvery. The meal was good value for money.

Food is good, the service is great. The Manor House is a really old but well maintained Manor. Sitting on the veranda on a lovely sunny day to have lunch is terrific. It is not expensive, service is quick.

Nice food our waitress was lovely, atmosphere could have been different if our private 70th birthday party was allocated more privately as we were beside a quiz night and our table settings was in everyone's way of entrance and the bar, very disappointing we ate our food and left The Manor to gather in a different location for less noise and more space... Anyone looking to book make sure this doesn't happen to you, as it ruined our night unfortunately...

The food was nice, friendly staff. Although staff were clueless when asked for cocktails. Bramble tasted of only gin & the other one was tasteless. Training is definitely needed.

3 hours for a 4 course meal, had to ask for tea and birthday cake so some of us could leave!!

Wow such a fabulous place for a meal, food was delicious piping hot and plenty of it, very quick service by very young pleasant staff, oh and the strawberry daiquiris were soo good

Called the other evening on a one off , ordered house burgers and a pint the pint was roasting had to be changed the burgers came out two lynas basic burgers and a stale bap cheep tasting cheese and chips were awful ,I ordered sweet potato fries but they couldn't even get that right 5 or so year's since I was in and I won't be back terrible

We decided, Tuesday afternoon, a few weeks ago to stop for lunch here on recommendation. Our food was not great - it had been cooked in days old oil and the side salad was 'strange' to say the least. We had planned to bring our dissatisfaction to the attention of the staff, until we witnessed a horrific display of aggression, foul language, threatening and frightening behavior, by the Manager/Owner of the establishment. They way he spoke to three ladies, who had dined in there was totally outrageous! I had two teenage girls with me who were terrified. He shouted, swore at them, threatened them, and told them to 'get out to f!' I have no idea what triggered this verbal assault, but NO ONE deserves to be spoken to like that - all three ladies were visibly upset and conducted themselves admirably...I don't know if I would have taken the abuse so calmly. I got up, hastily paid my bill and left shortly afterwards. I will NEVER return to this place for these reasons, and would advise anyone with vulnerable teenagers/children to stay away - this man was so volatile. I really hope that the ladies involved have recovered from this dreadful experience.

I dont know what Manor Hotel the previous contributor is writing about but it certainly wasnt the one in Kilrea! We have just had the most fabulous meal there. Great food, large portions and great staff. Perhalps it is telling that your review is anonymous.

Horrendous experience at The Manor Kilrea Myself and my 4 friends decided that we would take the 55 minute trip to The Manor for a feed and a catch-up. We decided on this sunny day it would be an enjoyable experience. Little did we know it would be the opposite. When we entered the manor we were told we could sit wherever we wanted. We choose the terrace. When we got to to our table the restaurant was not busy which should should have reflected a positive experience with good efficient customer service which was not provided in the slightest . We sat down at the table and it took around 10 minutes for us to be served for a drink. They then took our food order a while after that. We ordered food which when arrived did not correspond with what we had ordered. The food took at least 40+ minutes to come. The server proceeded to take each of the dishes out slowly one by one. To which this resulted in our food being cold. To get our food to our table in full took at least 35 minutes from the first chicken curry was sat down. When they served the main dishes the sides were incorrect. We had to correct the server 3 times about the mistakes made regarding the sides. The experience was awful. Not to mention the rude,unhelpful and ignorant attitude towards the mistakes the staff at the Manor continuously made. When eventually the sides requested for the chickens curry’s arrived all members at the table had finished their meals. This was absolutely ridiculous and we felt that the prices at the manor were to expensive to reflect the poor food,poor service and unwelcoming staff. This is not even to mention the standard of the food was disgusting. It is safe to say we will never return to The Manor Kilrea. We spent £82.15 on this horrific experience that had ruined our friendly catch-up. We were never asked once if our meal was ok, if we needed anything extra. NOTHING.

Was here for dinner about 20 years ago and must say it was a nice dinner just never got back again to have more food

Went to a function in the Manor with friends looking forward to our dinner, When the soup arrived it was very nice, Then the dinner came, First impressions was good, Then I stuck my fork into the potatoes, That’s when thing started to go bad Potatoes was absolutely horrible and a old crispy dry skin hard lump and dry and the roast potatoes were the same dinner was so dry, WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT

Five of us visited mid afternoon and had a late lunch. The appearance of the building was very grand and stately. The staff member who attended us throughout our visit was very friendly and helpful she discussed the menu with us and offered us her recommendations to help us make our choices. The food was of good quality and nicely presented, portion size was generous. I had the buttermilk chicken burger which was delicious, followed by death by chocolate cake .... well I was on my holidays... Price wise we were able to advantage of one of their meal deals 2 courses for a set price. All in all the price charged for the meals for the five of us was very reasonable and compares favourably with other restaurants in the province. We all enjoyed the meal and the views from the conservatory and would recommend Manor House to others we will return next time we are visiting Northern Ireland.

We went for Sunday lunch the food was excellent the staff were great. It's good to see there are still places that serve a great Sunday lunch that is served to you at the table.

Visited two weeks ago with few friends. We had a lovely meal, atmosfere in the place is very welcoming, staff helpful and accommodating. As the weather was beautiful we planned to have few drinks at the balcony after the meal, and ended up making the night of it!! Had a great time, highly recomend. We will be back very soon.

My family went for Sunday lunch today. The food was excellent and the service was very good. We had a great afternoon. What was great, ew were able to stay until we were ready to leave. Would recommend Sunday lunch here.

My husband, myself and our 4yr old visited the Manor on Friday afternoon. After waiting to be seated, surrounded by dirty tables, our order was taken. From start to finish the service was poor, I took our daughter to the toilet and while I was away my husband was told our mains were ready but I was still eating. When the starter was finally cleared we waited another 20 minutes for food that was apparently already ready. My husbands food arrived first, sizzling platter, and was splattered all over the plate. My dinner and our sides arrived 5 minutes later. At no point through the meal were we approached to ask if it was okay. The food itself was okay but let down by poor, inexperienced young staff. Won't be back.

Excellent venue. We were there for a Murder Mystery night and it was great. Food and service were both fantastic.

The Thai red chicken kebabs are hard to beat. Fantastic meal at this golf club and we will definitely be back for more! Thank you the Manor!

Went for Sunday lunch, very disappointed as I have used this restaurant many times before, cold hard roast potatoes, vegetables tasteless, rock hard stuffing, no proper table service had to request condiments, will not use again,

Nice meal with family on Saturday night (9/3) only comment on food was the oven chips needed to be cooked longer otherwise steak was superb and cooked very well. Quite noisy as beginning of evening due to Christening party but quietened down later on.

Unfortunately service was very slow and chaotic. Food was fine.

Fantastic fry, had the large one and couldn't finish it, and I can eat. Other diners food looked very good too. Only criticism the coffee was tasteless but then again I do like mine very strong. I'll be back.

We recently had our wedding here on the 25th August. Couldn’t have asked for a better venue. The location is absolutely stunning, overlooking the lake and the grounds, the food was absolutely amazing, all the guests have been commenting ever since. The girls really couldn’t have done anymore to make our day go off without a hitch. It really was an amazing dat at an amazing venue, we really can’t thank you enough.

We go regular to manor restraurant till this evening we could not complain this evening we were treated very poorly we ordered our meal and went sit outside while we wait ed a waitress came to door said if you want your meal its on table walk away out order was not right but nobody came to sort it out they came cleared table complete ignore us did not come back was said to manager he just said amount never said sorry nothing so very disappointed with the way we were treated not be back Margaret brown

golf too expensive , Better course in the same town for less money

Dropped in to this great eaterie for a bite of dinner with family yesterday. Sun shining and a beautiful view over the lake..stunning setting. Various meals of steak and fish ordered, all excellent and cooked to perfection but the best of all were the ham and prawn salads we ordered. Absolutely beautiful mix of coleslaw, fresh fruits, pasta, cheese, egg and far too many other extras to mention. Serving staff were friendly, helpful and nothing was too much bother. Thankfully this hidden gem is relatively close to us so we can enjoy many more top class meals. Well done Tishy on the salads!

I got married last week here ..I cannot thank Agnoska her husband mark Kerry and the staff did an first class job ,from the time I booked it over a year ago I always kept in contact with her to answer any questions .. she is absolutely a lovely girl and would bend over backwards to help you make your special day .. My ceremony was there also she spent most of the day with us to make sure everything was good .. Nothing was too much bother for her and I wasn’t really a bridezilla .. We had the best day ever and the food was amazing as my father is very fussy and he praised very highly .. I will be back there again as my friend wedding is also there cannot wait ..

The manor has one of the shortest 9 hole courses in Northern Ireland. Good for a golfer if you fancy a quick round (although an experienced golfer wouldn't find the course challenging). If you go between Monday and Friday you can get a meal included with your golf. The food itself is usually decent with a good selection to choose from.

Was a gest at a wedding reception, had a lovely day out, staff and management made all feel welcome and all you had to do was ask and they were just to pleased to help. Both main meal and buffet was lovely and plentiful.

Very poor. We had to wait for over an hour for our food. One waitress told use that she would get the manager, another told us that the manager wasn't working at the moment - so also liars? Once the food arrived it was utter rubbish. The chips were golden on the outside, but raw in the middle (your oil is far too hot). If a restaurant can't cook chips then it's struggling. No vegan options and only one veggie - which I had and was awful. Won't be going back and I'd recommend you don't go.
