Had a meal the chicken was full of grisly and they changed it to a hotdogs for me with fried onions not ever fried thanks for the bill and the irogrant to the man that said he was a chef place I will not be back to this place wod love to add pictures but cant

Great accommodation, vibe and staff can't do enough for you. Highly recommended

Had an overnight stay during Easter Week last minute found the room comfortable clean and met our needs. A lovely breakfast set us up for the day. Hope to return soon.

Love staying at The Port hotel, always welcoming and nothing ever a problem. Just home from a 2 night stay and wish we had booked another couple of nights.

Do not go here please, the Werner dog was inside a roll and the meat was not meating(it wasn't cooked). Chips taste like uncooked fingers, meal no yummy I want meal yummy. Save yourself and go to the restaurant beside it instead, I'm signing off see you in the next review.

Great place . Always made very welcome , very homely , good sensible food well cooked .

The best few days break I've ever had. All the staff are brilliant, very friendly and extremely helpful. Great warm room with very comfy bed, breakfast exceptional another best for me. Have nothing negative at all to say, have booked again for another stay. Very central location as well.

Nice quiet hotel, good food, clean rooms

Went in to get fish and chips. We had already ordered drinks (the coke was poured from a 2ltr bottle completely flat) The waitress then came and told us there was just one fish left so we said ‘it didn’t matter we will just pay for the drinks and go eat elsewhere’. The waitress then went over to the other staff and said ‘Why couldn’t they just order something else’ in a rude loud way. I wasn’t going to leave a review but I had made a complaint with no response. I feel the attitude we received was disgusting. And after reading these reviews I’m so glad we didn’t eat here.

Walk in off the street, did not book accompanied by my wife and three children. I must say candidate for Ramsey Kitchen Nightmares. My wife and I both ordered Chicken Goujons with Chips, which was billed separately. The ploy was advertise Chicken Goujons at the door for £10.95 to discover the additional £4.50 when you have ordered drinks and settled. The 5 flat Goujons arrived with bland coating, half a lettuce leaf and a slice of tomato. I’m sure birdseye would have rejected these from the factory. The chips were tasteless and the chicken had the consistency of rubber. My three children ordered 4oz burgers, obviously not fresh, rubber and tasteless. Trust me waste of £60. Service was good and staff pleasant.

Terrible experience with this restaurant. food not cooked at the restaurant. Pizza was like from Lidle shop just heated. . Fish was same, chips from bags not eatable. Waiting one dish ages to served. Apple juice was like cider and was served to 10 year old childe. when complained about it manager try to tell what bubbles in glass is normal for apple juice . when I told what normal for cider but not for juice, he told yes cider made from apple juice. They still charged me for this juice-cider. never will back to this place, terrible place, not recommending at all to anybady

Service was good. Good choice available on menu. Food was tasty and portions were good. Clean, tidy and well presented. Price was ok.

We visited the Cellar bar- three adults and one child. We had been here a couple of years ago and really enjoyed it. Unfortunately, we had a completely different experience. Firstly, it’s £4 for a side of garlic fries. No sides come with the mains. When the ‘garlic fries’ come out they were just horrible frozen chips with some garlic over them. Then my pasta come out cold. Clearly they put it in the microwave a min before bringing it back out. My mum ordered soup of the day. The wheaten bread that they brought her out was stale. We sent that back. They brought out more wheaten bread which was freezing cold. It was clearly just brought out of the freezer and defrosted. When we went to the bar we were asked was everything ok. We were honest and told the lady behind the bar that we weren’t really happy with the quality of the food. She said she would get the manager to talk to us. The manager come out and we again told him what we weren’t happy with. His response was to my mum in a sarcastic manner ‘well did you eat the wheaten bread?’. He was very aggressive in his tone and just dismissed everything. Didn’t try to apologise or try and rectify the situation. He just got the card machine. He was holding the card machine as my mum was trying to put in the pin and trying to pressurise her to use contactless. She was asking him could she hold the card machine as he had her stressed with his attitude and she couldn’t remember the pin. He kept pulling the machine off her and was arrogant and aggressive. Honestly I have never come across a manager like it. He left my mum upset and shaken. So rude. We will never be back and I urge no one else to waste their money there.

Family of 3 with a 2 year old struggling to get in anywhere in Portrush due to being peak dinner time during a busy & sunny weekend. Not a problem getting a table here though which now makes sense. We had 2 mains and a kids meal with a couple of drinks. My wife and I both had the carbonara. Easily the poorest carbonara we've had in any restaurant. So bland! Our 2 year old had the standard sausage and chips which is hard to mess up and there were no complaints there. Portion of onion rings which also weren't good. It was expensive for such low end grub and a couple of drinks. Staff were all very pleasant and it was a clean place. But food let it down completely I'm afraid.

Visited this place with my husband, 11 year old son and 20 year old daughter. After ordering wine my daughter decided she would like a glass of wine therefore I asked the waiter for another glass. Within 2 minutes a man came and to say he embarrassed my daughter would be an understatement, asked her for her identification which she produced. He then proceeded to check out her I.D like she was going through customs. The bar staff sat behind the bar laughing and whispering throughout our meal. The food was average at best, duck spring rolls out of a packet and the chili pasta was not great. Had no cream or garlic in it as I cook this dish regularly. I would never visit this place again due to the staff sniggering and laughing. My daughter was mortified and was quite embarrassed throughout our meal and upon leaving. Only restaurant I have ever visited where I have not left a tip. Poor service and poor food .

The food was average and more expensive than other pubs places in town. The waitress was very sarcastic which did not always come across as funny, and she kept going outside to smoke....

The staff are polite and very helpful food is lovely. Cant wait to return. Room were clean and tidy. Breakfast was one of the best I have had.

Eight of us had dinner and deserts in the hotel. Food was beautiful and large portions. Service was very efficient and the staff were very friendly. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals. Would highly recommend and will certainly visit again.

Loved it in here. popped in to see the menu stayed for dinner. Guinness was of excellent quality, as always staff were soooo polite and helpful - tired bar area but blends with the character of the place. Hotel looked very nice and took on a different atmosphere - more boutique loved it

I went to to port Hotel with my girlfriend and ordered a bottle of wine while I waited for a table. The staff were very unapproachable and eventually we got served after around 30minutes. I ordered the lasagne and my girlfriend ordered a chicken burger. This came quite quickly. After 3 or 4 bites of my lasagne I realised there was a hair in my mouth. I was slightly shocked but carried on with my meal. My girlfriend then cut her burger and gave me half. I noticed another hair in the burger and called a waitress over to witness me pulling the hair out. She looked shocked and said she would take the burger away and get us a new one. Meanwhile I continued to eat my lasagne and wedges and suddenly realised there was ANOTHER hair in my mouth inside one of the wedges. I spat it out and felt sick immediately. I spoke to an extremely rude manager who told me I was 'silly' for feeling sick and we definitely had to pay for the wine which I had asked to be complimentary. He then threatened to call the police and also stated none of his chefs had hair the length I had suggested I had pulled out of my mouth. Absolutely disgusting. Never ever go here!!

We visited The Port for Sunday lunch today. From the moment you enter you are made to feel welcome and the staff cannot do enough for you. I had the stuffed pork which was delicious and the portions are amazing for the price. Service is excellent and waitresses are all so friendly. Especially Jackie, who is excellent with my son Tyler and he was delighted that she remembered him from our visits last summer! She even gave him a lolly on our way out :) Would definitely recommend The Port for eating in or even drinking in, the atmosphere is excellent.

We stopped here for lunch having not been here before but I was impressed. The waitress was lovely, really good with my toddler who wasn't happy at being stuck in a high chair! She even gave us a tub to take my daughters leftovers home in. We had the roast dinner with beef and it was gorgeous. Nicely presented and it tasted great! The wait wasn't too long either. Would definitely go here again for a feed.

Were made welcome from minute walked in the door. Staff friendly and helpful, food was very good and reasonably priced, definitely visit again.

Had our tea when staying in Portrush and went to The Port as hadnt been for a while. There is something to suit everyone and very good helpings.

Have been twice to the Port Hotel for lunch and have been pleasantly surprised both times. Restaurant is comfortable and cosy, staff are friendly, welcoming and professional and the food is well cooked and presented. The usual pub menu but of a good standard.

As we were staying in another hotel we decided to try out the bar in the Port. It was lovely and the staff were so friendly. The decor was cosy and in perfect order. We even came back the second night.

Had a lovely tasty family lunch here. The staff are very professional but also friendly and welcoming. Our food was simple but first class. Nice atmosphere with open fire and street views. Will definitely be back!

Situated in the main street, easy to find but not sure where you could park a car nearby. Staff were really friendly, efficient and helpful. Menu was traditional pub grub but tasty, well cooked and certainly plentiful. Would eat here again.

Popped in for a late lunch with my wife. Very friendly and attentive staff and a great atmosphere. Lovely fish and chips.

Clean; very friendly and helpful staff; breakfast is great (usual toast. juice, cereal and a waited service for cooked breakfasts). Only downside was the noise on Friday night when the Kiwi Bar next door was closing - not the hotel's fault. Would definitely stay here...

Couldn’t find anywhere open in portrush to eat before 5pm and then walked past this hotel who serve food all day! Staff very friendly and attentive! Got the roast beef special for only £9.95 and it came out piping hot and well presented, was delicious!...

The food is tasty and cooked to order, the staff can't do enough for you, they are an absolute pleasure, and can't do enough for you. Well done Jackie and her team, who are people, and especially child friendly, as my grandson Tyler can vouch...

We have stayed in portrush now for a week and have visited The Port 3 times for food, it is second to none. The atmosphere, service and standard of food are all superb. All waiting staff are very attentive and cannot do enough for you....

Visited here on the evening of 9th of July. The food was terrific, but the mlst outstanding thing was the 3 ladies serving this evening. Their attitude, their manner, and their inter action with us was absolutely amazing. As for their dancing 😁 just brilliant....

Did dinner there. Lovely meals, good service and not too bad pricewise.. So we were very satisfied with our meal. Should we be in Portrush once again, a good chance we will go there again.

We had meal with grandparents, 4 adult children and 3 grandchildren (5-3-1). We had a lovely and simple meal, especially for the children. All went so relaxed. Great!

Stayed here just last night. Lovely hotel. Clean and does the job nicely. Staff are lovely. In particular the lady on reception and an older lady in the restaurant. Food is delicious and good size portions. Breakfast was beautiful too. Would stay again.

Staff the nastiest ive ever encountered. Not children friendly stay away at night time stayed for drink and left made to feel unwelcome and children upset left at 9.30 pm

Went in on Friday 7th July for a family meal. We got our starters as part of the set menu so the 2 children didn't have starters we then ordered our wine of the menu and waited on the main course. 40 minutes later still no children's food or our mean course I asked twice and was told it was being cooked, we ended up leaving 20minutes later as there was still no food and we were told again that the food was being cooked. We also had to pay for the wine which wasn't even drank. We be in portrush every other week and we will not be back in the port hotel. Very disappointing!!

Stayed in the port hotel for 4 nights in a basic twin room...the room we got was the top of the hotel up about 6 flights of narrow stairs..no lift so a bit of an ordeal carrying golf clubs.. but the room clean and functional..the...
