Uptown Pizza & Kebab in North Hertfordshire

Con artists. Went to this place on my scooter. Total was £32, milkshakes are £6, i had two. Told the guy to take off both milkshakes (amounting to £20) so I could afford it as I only had £30 on my card. I shouldn't have said I only had £30 on my card, because he then charged me £30 which I didn't notice until I recieved my bank statement. Con artists, over charged and took every last penny I had, DO NOT GET FOOD FROM THESE PEOPLE.

The pizzas is bad and sides milkshake is ok

I ordered potato salad and got coleslaw, really weird

A bit light on the toppings on all pizza's except the Margarita. The vegetable pizza though light could be accepted in that could see and taste some vegetables. The hellfire which was supposed to have meat had a couple of tomatoes and we counted a total of five pieces of meat (3 tiny cubes chicken and 2 tiny cubes beef) but no chilies whatsoever - so not acceptable at all. Felt it would be harsh to give a one star rating - given one pizza was fine, one disappointing but one was totally unacceptable.

Unfortunately both pizza boxes were donor but still good regardless

the burger was really good and so were the nuggets but the chips were dry like they were reheated and hardly had any cheese on them

Absolutely disgusting food the chicken wings tasted like burnt charcoal the pizza was ok the chips were old and dry and the amount of time it took was horrific will never be ordering from this place again and I recommend you don’t

come undelivered in a bag cold and not nice first bad experience

Got two milkshakes. Both vile. The banana one was so strong it was bright yellow and couldn't even drink it was like pure syrup it was that strong. The rolo one tasted a bit off. Won't order from here again.

Always great food & fast delivery! Been ordering from here for years. Moe is always super helpful. Highly recommend this take away for hitchin and surrounding villages

Ordered a delivery, daughter likes the veggie burger. Decided to try ourselves, 🤮 chips were hours old and reheated and the banoffee pudding I had was rock sold frozen, no hope of eating it any time soon😡 never again. Didn’t answer phone when I tried calling back.

Pizza was OK, except two of the three 16" pizza's had little to no sauce on the base. Will stick with my usual pizza takeaway. The Cheesey garlic bread was nice.

food was great and brilliant customer service even threw in a free bottle of Pepsi

They cancel orders two hours after receiving after which time, all the other shops are shut. The food is also bloody dreadful.

It's a nice a fast food joint. I would regard their French fries as unique to them really crunchy. I was expecting a crispy fries, your kebab pitta is a good filling portion though for a large appetite..

Pizza base was under cooked like soggy bread

Ordered and paid then had a guy bashing at my door at quarter to one in the morning saying i hadnt paid and how we were liars. Being the middle of the night we just paid another £30 to get rid of him as he was being abusive, I wished I had phoned the police to be honest. Tried loads of times to get the money back and showed them proof I had paid and said I didn’t understand why they would allow an employee to scam their customers but they didnt care and were really rude and wouldn’t pay it back. The people are dodgy and abusive and the food is awful avoid this place

Donor wrap was swimming in oil so unable to eat , no salad and not even wrapped properly . The cheesy chips had hardly any cheese and chips were hard and tasted horrible.

kebab was like rubber to eat and pretty bad but I like the milkshake

Waffles were burnt. No salad in the burger.

Ordered 4 wraps, and it came with the food seperated from the wraps. Other kebab shops usually wrap them up for you and wrap in foil to keep it warm. Sadly, this was not the case, I'm deeply disappointed paying what I did in return for what I got!

What's happened? We could always rely on Uptown to send well cooked food. Was served refried, reheated mushrooms that looked like conkers. Totally inedible. Who would box them up and think that's OK to send them out? Also the fries are no longer fries but the awful flat ones. Such a shame. I would rather wait for fresh food to be cooked rather than reheated food to be thrown into boxes.

Average, wouldnt order again. Chicken burger was basically a frozen chicken steak from a supermarket, garlic mushrooms were burnt. However the milkshake was banging

Alex and staff were able to accommodate food for 100 hungry students. They went above and beyond for the dietary requirements- gluten free and Vegan and the food was delivered on time and piping hot. Thank you so much 🙂

I didn't recieve the icecream with my order so l kindly explained that it was not with my order,and got ranted at down the phone, shouted at that it's uber eats fault the menu isn't correct and that it is not the correct menu, l just did what it said on the tin. Unless u are a mind reader,or enjoy to be spoken rudely too,you shoud avoid at all costs. I asked for a refund and was refused even though on my receipt it says 5.99 ice cream. Awful customer service and the chips was cold and soggy.

Food tasted funny wouldn’t order the kebab again

I ordered the crispy wrap chicken bacon and mushroom, I'll be honest when I opened it I was a little disappointed however... It tasted so much better than a regular wrap even if it's not what I was expecting I love it!!!

Veg calzone was tasty, but the portion of chips was the tiniest I have ever seen. Probably the same amount as a small McD portion except it cost £3! Shame because food isn't too bad, but I won't be ripped off like that, so goodbye Up Town.

Ordered off deliveroo, said 9pm for delivery waited till 9.11 and rang to see where my food was, the guy on the phone said 10 mins, this was a lie, 20mins later I rang again the guy on the phone argued that it hadn't been 20 mins since I last rang in fact it was 25 mins and 1hr 15mins since I had placed the order really not happy with the service the food wasn't even that great, lamb shish was chewie and not alot of it, asked for no onions had onions in the salad, both meats cold and pitta placed on top of the box not even in the box

Presentation was bad. Mashed up potato and chilli did not taste fresh and thick. Garlic and cheese bread over cooked. Greek salad all lettuce and hardly any feta or olives. Very disappointed

Food arrived very quickly much quicker than usual. Food was cold 2 dips were missing and food was of poor quality. The chips looked and tasted like they had been cooked once then gone cold then warmed in the microwave. They were soggy and chewy, the pizza was cold and chewy. Up town was our favourite place to order from but the last 2 orders we have placed haven’t been up to scratch and was a total waste of money.

Ordered two different milkshakes and the same flavour turned up for both.

Been ordering the popcorn chicken side for years and I have never seen it so small.. is this change permanent?

20 minutes late and cold.. what has happened to this place used to be great but last time the popcorn chicken portion was microscopic and this time it’s late and cold.. sorry to leave a 1 star guys but you’ve earned it and I’ve paid a lot for it..

Sadly the jacket potato was bland & undercooked. The fries were cold. First bad experience, a little disappointed

Pizza good but cheesy chips tasteless

Cold food, chips were over cooked and oily once splitting a chip in half there was no inside to the chip just a potato shell. Very very disappointing

Lovely food be it with a slight glitch which was just one of those things. Would recommend their pizza's :) Also the requests made before ordering were followed amazingly :)

After ordering a few times with no issues yesterday’s food was very poor quality, the lamb was tough and there was shredded chicken which you could tell it wasn’t freshly cooked but leftovers.

My order was wrong. Ruined with sauce I didnt ask for and the mushrooms weren't cooked. The jacket potato had seen better days with again mushrooms that weren't cooked. The only thing that was edible was the salad.

But cold had to re heat in the microwave ordered with plenty of time for a hot food

Food was awful. Chips were overdone. I asked for salad on my donner meat &chips. Didn’t get any salad. Half pounder was greasy.

I had a problem with my order and the staff a Mr Mohammed was rude and not helpful.

£5 delivery is a bit much but over all it was a really nice pizza!!

The chicken wrap was extremely disappointing. Hardly any chicken, all hash brown, no onion rings. Nuggets and jacket potato were gross and flavourless. Order was late

Was absolutely shocked at the amount of grease that come from my wrap, not only was my wrap no longer eatable, it soaked through the box, paper bag as well as the main brown paper bag. I asked for cheesy chips, but basically got normal chips with a couple grated bits of cheese at the side. This place has really gone downhill, yet prices have gone up too

Ordered wraps and they sent a build your own wrap kit.

First time ordering from here - sounded like a good deal for £15.99 but the food arrived barely warm, chips were a crispy and over cooked shade of Essex tan, the spicy pepperoni pizza contaminated with additional unrequested ham/bacon of the artificially flavoured kind And the Kebab consisted of lukewarm slivers of grey meat in a chilli sauce heavily flavoured with lemon!? - I so wanted to excuse the mistakes as a Saturday night rush but suffice to say I wasn’t impressed with the overbearing surface flavours of what was essentially tasteless mediocre food - unfortunately despite the friendly delivery driver I won’t be giving them a second chance any time soon 😕

The chicken kebab and chips were awful. Salad order was wrong (missing onions but added tomatoes), the cabbage had a bad taste, the garlic mayo was watery and there was not much of it. The chilli sauce also wasn’t very flavoursome. The chips were soggy and limp in texture. The chicken was not very nice either. All in all a disaster of a meal and I’m off kebabs for the foreseeable

Wrong address despite the correct address in the app rung them and just said can’t change it. Customer service is terrible won’t be using them again 😡

I ordered a large doner kebab with chips, which from the pull down "what's incuded" was pitta bread and salad and sauce of your choice. It turned up with just doner meat and chips! I called the company and was told that if it included chips it wasn't a doner. I suggested they redo their website as what they are advertising is not what they are delivering! Will never order here again!!

My son ordered waffles with syrup and also some chicken strips. The chicken strips were amazing but the waffles were burnt and covered with chocolate sauce rather than syrup. Perhaps to hide the burnt waffle. A little disappointed but would definitely order from them again.

The food was delicious driver didn't speak English was all he said and had to wait for me to hobble to the front door I only just made it before he walked away despite the good food I won't be ordering from you again

Good tasty food though didn’t quite get my order right. Paid an extra £1 for jalapeño’s on the meat feast pizza and this was not provided. Fast service though.

Sorry to say the chicken in the kebab wasn't nice at all in fact I didn't eat it ,definitely wasn't skewered chicken breast at all just some picked apart chicken. Tried to get through to them to let then know but couldn't get through however the cheese garlic bread was lovely as was the delivery man just a shame about the chicken kebab.

Food was beautiful amd still hot. Highly recommended
