Always the best food! Best Chinese in the bay by far!

Chow Mein looks, smells and tastes like super noodles. I ordered a kung po chicken and got a sweet and sour, the food was cold and when I tried to call to speak to them about it, they now won't answer my calls. Waste of money. Avoid!

Never ordered before and I won’t ever order again absolutely vile food and vile customer service the food turned up and both chow meins I ordered thin noodles and they come in a watery sauce which doesn’t state on the Menu online which it should as it comes with other vegetables to thought they would of just been like normal thick noodles with soy sauce etc but nope wasn’t the case so phoned them and the lady on the phone said we will change both chow meins etc as explained I didn’t no they come with watery sauce the driver turned up handed over one I said there’s meant to be two he said I need to call them I called them and such rude customer service told me they been there over 30 years and I should of checked before ordering and that he’s got orders to do he will send the driver back with the king prawn chow mein as wouldn’t change it or refund it when they said they would but as a good will gesture they only changed one but I got told they would do both so waited nearly an hour to get the old king prawn one back and had a black hair in it I don’t even have black hair it didn’t before when I handed it back to be honest it all went in the bin tasteless undercooked food and salt and pepper chips all they were was five spice seasoning no peppers or onions never will I be back again worst Chinese in Torquay

Lovely Chinese food is always cooked fresh and hot. Staff are friendly definitely would recommend.

I’m not sure if you had a new chef on Saturday evening but the food was not good. I was very disappointed as I have been a customer for many years and the food usually excellent

Noodles came uncooked and crispy(i have been getting from here for years and never came like this before) when i tried to get another meal i was rudely dealt with by all members of staff before having them verbally abuse me. Would not reccomend

Great food poor service called to query where order was, 2 hours later it arrived, when I asked driver where it had been, his reply……well I don’t cook it, poor service can’t get through to complain as constantly engaged, won’t be ordering again due to bad and rude attitude of delivery driver, good luck if you use them on a weekend

Normally ok ,accepted that it would be 2 hours,was a bit over , But only warm think due to packed in a plastic bag and when opened was sweating, chips limp cold, chicken and prawn balls in batter soft and just warm ,sorry won’t use again

I’ve ordered from here so many times and the food is always really good. Tonight was a different matter the food was rubbish I ordered set things and they turned up wrong. Was told one hour delivery waited nearly two because they had no chips? Get a grip. Offered £20 off next time I ordered but frankly won’t be ordering again to use it.

The food is very good, always hot and never had any problems with it. However their service is a big problem. They advertise the wrong closing times, and sometimes there is one rude staff member on the phone who sounds like she doesn’t want to be working there.

Their chicken chat is so tasty, defo would go back.

Yesterday my wife order 2x chicken with black beans and 1x rice with egg. Then she asked if they had any starters with prawns, she was told there was this starter prawn balls and spicy prawns and she said she could have the prawn balls and the amount went from 16£ to 25£ then she turn the call off and very upset said she couldnt understand anything so she just said yes yes and turn the call off. Ive then call again and asked how it was possible the price of starters to be more expensive then mains, i was told she asked the prawn balls and with that the value went to 25 then i asked if it was a starter the person on the phone didnt know the menu and kept stuttering when i ask if they had another starter that same lady told me they had spicy prawns... i was quite upset already with the mess.... so i just said what ever can be that prawns... After 15 min i went to the place and i get this awkward looks while picking up the order. it was quite annoying really, then ive notice theres a 15 years old working on the phones so i just felt sorry for her really... but when i get home i notice ive got another main of prawns and not a starter.... like ive suspected . couldnt enjoy the prawns as it was bad sauce to enjoy my main after.. if you want i can drop them off .. please just make sure the person on the sales line knows the menu to avoid problems, and instead of staring at people go there and ask if they had and issue or whats the problem, because even in the middle of the call the phone was dropped without warning to then another lady pop on it to tell me only the total amount and no explanation...

Food was awful it arrived fast and was hot but later that evening next morning was very ill and unwell as this was all iv eaten in like last 18 hours it was definitely a case of food Poisoning this place just had a refurb and was meant to me newer assumed better quality....avoid If don't want to get ill!! 26th September 2021

Was down for the night to see parents, we ordered food, which turned up incorrect. had 2 special currys and rice instead of 2 special fried rice everything else on the order was correct, normally not an issue but when called my dad was told the person on the phone must of miss heard the order, again not a problem except when asked for the special fried rice to be sent he was told to pay for the rice not the difference the full amount? He said we didn't order the curry and don't eat it so you can have that back for the correct order, was spoken to like something off their boot very argumentative, refused to swap and was spoken to like dirt over the phone, we will never use again very poor customer service 😒

Akways a good takeaway, fast delicious and well priced

Worst take away food I've ever seen or tasted and very rude staff, me and my wife ordered Special curry, special chow mein and chips. Curry was terrible, full of big chunks of onion, frozen peas, and no prawns. I complained they sent another which was exactly the same. Chow mein was all stuck together noodles were solid. So then I phoned back to complain again and get a refund I spoke to three different staff and was finally given a manager who was extremely rude, told me not to be angry which was a joke. I received my refund but was left feeling really unhappy do yourself a favour and don't order food here.

If there were 10 stars it would get them its outstanding, and when you can honestly say hand on heart, that you have never had any bad food from there that is an accolade with having its a fabulous takeaway and the service is always good,even as busy as they always are.

We always use this take away. They delivered the wrong order tonight, for the first time ever but delivered the correct order within minutes of me calling with no fuss or problems. It's definitely the best Chinese in torquay

Worse Chinese iv ate in a while chicken fried rice had a funny off smell and the chips were stone cold very over priced for the size and I wouldn't eat their again if it was free

I waited 1 1/2 hours for delivery, only got the order at all because I phoned. The bag was full of condensation the meal was cold and soggy had to take it back as couldn't get through on the phone, attitude stank.

Used to Come here ALL the time and the food recently has been appalling. Just collected food to find one portion of chips missing, chicken balls were still clucking (raw), and hardly any vegetables in the sweet and sour vegetables & rice, the omelette was like soggy goo . Won’t be back again.

Had a meal from this take away one evening, the ribs had clearly been microwaved and were far from hot enough. Felt I'll the next day, can't say it was the food from here but Luke warm food isn't ideal. I used to enjoy the food from here but quality has slipped. Staff working on the phones and dealing with customers are handling food without washing hands or the appropriate clothing.

Dreadful service. Far too many times now they have taken up to an hour longer than they tell you to deliver. After over an hour and a half wait tonight, I decided to give up using them.

Poor service had less chicken balls than I bought, and rang up they sent them back out. But by the time they had the chips were cold and they didn’t even replace them!!

Now I live so close to it it very hard to not over indulge, love there food, I people watch alot and from the second it's open to the second it's closed there rushed off the feet which says so much more than online reviews

Food was very good, staff were polite and friendly. If I had to make a criticism, parking is awful so opt for delivery or walk.

moved from shiphay used to go to pauls fish and chips sad he moved but since then been happy ordering here food is what you expect wait time is alright there is a langauge barrier but i cant blame them

Used to be the best Chinese in Torquay but it has really disappointed me the last couple of times I've ordered from here. Not only has the quality of the food gone down, I waited an hour and 15 minutes for my delivery, rang them to ask where it was and they said it hasn't gone out yet but will be out in the next delivery. I then followed it by saying that I want to cancel my order as it was too late and the woman on the phone was very blunt and didn't apologise once. This has happened the last couple of times I've ordered from them, and this was my last time!! Do not recommend.

Been a while since I visited, but dropped in to see if anything had changed. And it hadn't, and it's still brilliant. Fried rice with fresh onions is awesome, and worth the visit on its own.

Brought a special chow mein and got it home to eat, it was muxed temperature and cooked noodles mixed with hard uncooked cold noodles, really unpleasant. They agreed to replace it with a curry however charged me £1.20 for this. On arrival rice needed microwaving to heat. Poor food, poor customer services from owner and definately wont be eating from there. Yuk!!

Food was nice and hot on arrival and came at almost the exact time that was given. Ordered the salt and pepper chicken, satay pork, kung po chicken and king prawn chow mein. Very impressed with the salt and pepper chicken and all other dishes were nice. Only complaint was that the kung po chicken could have been a bit spicier and lacked a little flavour.

Best in the area,without question.Beware on Sunday's because they only have one delivery driver,therefore service can occasionally be somewhat slower.In saying that,it's still worth the wait,just order your meal a bit earlier.Been using this takeaway for years,tried others,but ALWAYS end up going back to the best.

Arrived quickly but wasn't particularly hot. Not much flavour, quite bland.
