Tans Garden Grill in Torbay

We went to have a meal and was greeted with a lovely quizmaster emily and she managed to get us to do the quiz .even though we came last we had a lovely time and thank you emily

This place is great! If you come down on your holiday, stop by! Nice staff, great music, and a great night! 100% recommended

OK so first off, this place is definitely just a nightclub (in my opinion a anyway) so if you're after food / lunch, seriously don't bother. We arrived just before 12pm and the owner I think said to us we open in ten mins which is absolutely fair enough. Came back shortly after and sat at a comfy sofa table near the front, however literally all three tables I tried to sit down on were absolutely filthy, sticky and mucky so they hadn't been cleaned from the previous night before and were covered in drink stains. We weren't going to stay but my baby was starving and we were parched so decided to overlook this. We wanted some lunch desperately and tried to find a menu, however it appears that there are no menus at all and it's all done via an app you have to download. After literally numerous attempts to do this and eventually getting the app to (sort of) work we could see the menu. This process is actually ridiculously elongated and quite obnoxious to be honest. We eventually got the app working on one of our THREE mobile phones at about 12:25pm, then when I tried to order food it just came back and said this establishment isn't currently open at the moment; so yeah, this does not work and we gave up on food entirely. Even though we're sitting there, with about 7/8 members of staff having a meeting in the corner ignoring everyone. Went to get a drink for everyone because we'd sat down and I felt rude as we had sat down and fed the baby, asked for San Pellegrino (don't have it), Grape Soda (don't have it, J20's (don't have it)... All of which are listed on the drinks menu, but at this point I honestly just couldn't be bothered so ordered a cheap pint of Amstel and got out of there. Also, another party came in just as we were leaving, they were looking for menu's too and weren't even sure if they were open, they also wanted food and same as us just left after being completely confused. This might well be a good nightclub in Torquay, can't say for sure, however for lunch, food, or any type of drink that apparently appears on the menu, AVOID this at all costs.

This lovely private cave is nestled in the heart of Torquay. The unique art work is homely and the food, coffee and service excellent. They look after and invite all members of the community in. The service was very quick and having eaten here twice I was very impressed. They also thankfully serve soya milk.

Room was awful. Scratched furniture dirty carpets and stuffing was coming out of chairs. Half the hotel came down with food poisoning. When emailing hotel all I got was a generic one back. Awful customer service
