Good selection on both full and continental breakfasts and all the drinks.

We had a pleasant steak lunch and salad. The steaks were cooked just right, although mine would have benefited from the chef, trimming off some gristle before serving. The restaurant has a good outlook over the bay and 3 hours free parking for customers. Table service was excellent.

Served by Daisy-May - very welcoming and knew all about the menu items. Also accepted Defence Discount card. Fab food and fab prices.

Really overpriced, 2 burgers and 2 soft drinks came to £40 we were absolutely disgusted the burgers were average at best,save your money and go to McDonald's where the food is a quarter of the price and better

All OK. But a bit odd to sit down. I approached a waitress to ask to sit.....how did you get in? Um, through the door. Seems it was the wrong door...despite it being open.. weird and not very friendly.

We had exceptional service on our first night (19/2/25) by Dan at the Beefeater next to The Premier Inn Seafront Torquay. Dan was so lovely and accommodating even though I asked if I could swap an item on the menu on my order. He also helped me the next evening because of an uncomfortable situation I asked if we could move to another table, even though he would not be our server he kindly arranged it for me. Dan is a true asset to The Beefeater. We found all the team at this venue; both the hotel and restaurant were very professional and caring. A very enjoyable few days staying at this hotel. I feel sure we will return in the near future.

We had an amazing time on our trip the food was amazing and our server Daisy was without fault , she even sang happy birthday to my wife ! Thank you Daisy, Highly recommended and we will definitely be back !

My partner and I popped in on our walk back round Torquay seafront. Very nice restaurant. We were greeted by a lovely lady called Sharon. We sat near the window where we could see the sea . Turned out to be a great spot as the heaters directed the warmth over to us . We had the four starter deal and a pudding . Really big portions for a starter .will definitely go again. Lovely meals, friendly staff. I enjoyed sirloin steak and my wife had three starters. Individuals, couples and larger family groups were enjoying their experiences. I marked down the atmosphere as we were both cold sitting at the table which spoiled our experience

Typical Beefeater, excellent steaks and grills.

The venue was undergoing a refurbishment so the main restaurant was closed. Food was being served in the bar area and there wasn't waiter service. Despite this our food was excellent and service friendly and efficient.

We stayed at the Premier inn over Christmas so had Breakfast and booked for Christmas Dinner at a cost of £72 per person. This restaurant is dirty, cutlery had dried food on it every day we had breakfast which was twice, Christmas Dinner was disgusting, the veg was undercooked to the extent it was rock hard, the Beef had water pouring out of it, very much looked like it had been frozen and thrown on a griddle to defrost, it certainly had not just been cut from a fresh roast. Then to top it all my xmas pudding arrived on a dirty plate, it was dirty on both sides but you could see something red coloured all stuck to the bottom. The wait time for dinner was a total joke, starter was more or less straight away, then main was around 1 hours wait after starter, then sweet was again 1 hours wait. I sent more or less my whole main back telling them it was cold and undercooked, they offered to microwave it, NO THANKS, I sent the full sweet back as soon as it arrived showing them the dirty plate, they said they had no more would I like some thing else. This was a meal pre booked a month before why would I want some thing else. They refused refund as it was paid in advance and said as a good will gesture would knock the drinks off, which was one pint and one Orange Juice. We dine out every Christmas day and have done for the last 10 years, this was the worst experience we have ever had. I had packet roast potatoes for my Christmas Dinner.

We really enjoy eating at the beefeater torquay. Good food. Good service. Beautiful views over the seafront. We were served by Daniel B. A lovely young man who was attentive, cheerful and just the right person for the job.

It depends on the time of year and you don't always have to rate it the same way. Tables could be cleaned better and faster. The food is different too!

Absolutely spot on, family meal ( Party of 12 ) had booked in advance as some places would not take a large booking. Staff all friendly, helpful and welcoming. All food arrived together and very nice, excellent all round.

Dan was very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. A fantastic waiter!

09/11/24 we went in for dinner for 4 of us and the waiter Dan b was very nice and caring the food was very quick and nice and tasty We then went into the bar and Trina was funny and made us all quick drinks and helped us with information

Absolutely wonderful visit, popped in on the off chance for a few drinks in what seemed to be busy period to be greeted by a very welcoming and grinning lady being the bar, Trina I believe her name was, the drinks were made very quickly with witty banter and overall experience was lovely.

Nice meal with friends. Tried the festive menu which was lovely but unfortunately it's not included when using discount vouchers but nowhere is this advertised, disappointing. Service by Amy was of her usual high standard.

Ordered two drinks, one being a cocktail. My drink arrived, to then be told by the waitress about 10 minutes later, the cocktail we ordered wasn't available. Ordered calamari for a starter, that was fine. Waitress collected the plate about 20-25 minutes after we had finished, which is a long time. We then had to wait ages for our main meal, about 40 minutes. In the end, I had to inquire about when we would be receiving it. My husband's meal was missing the coleslaw, and for my meal, the calamari was so overcooked and tough it bounced off my plate onto the floor when I tried to put my fork into it, lol! My prawns were also overcooked and rubbery. I'm so glad I had a 40% voucher as I would have felt cheated paying the full £22 for my awful meal. The waiter didn't apologise for the wait and offered no condiments. I had to get up and search other tables and get them myself. No one came over to give us our bill, so I had to get up again and walk toward the till area to pay. When I mentioned to the waitress (who was actually very nice) that one of the meals was missing the coleslaw, she just said,'I'm sorry about that,' and that was it, lol. Awful service, bad food. Staff need re-training. Was nice that they told us to have a nice evening when we left though.

Overpriced food, tiny portions, table surfaces sticky, kids running around screaming in the bar area unsupervised. Absolute lowest quality atmosphere, value for money and overall standards. Will never go for a meal and drinks there again.

Really nice location! You can see the sea from the restaurant, which is wonderful, and they have a large bar garden for when the weather is wonderful, so im sure in the summer it is very popular! We have been twice while on holiday down here, and both times we haven't had to book, but we went during the day. The restaurant itself is very clean, and the staff are lovely and friendly. They are attentive and helpful at every step, but not overbearing. The first time we went, we both had the chicken and ribs combo, which was very fresh and delicious. The ribs did have a slight spicy kick to them though, which I didn't know about! The second visit we had smothered chicken and beef lasagna. I wasn't overly thrilled by the chicken. It was cooked well enough, but the BBQ sauce was very vinegary, the lasagna was delicious though. The fish and chips looked amazing that a different table had! The toilets are a bit of a mission to get to where we were sat, but they were very clean and well signposted. I'd definitely go back here again, the food is nice and the staff make it wonderful!

We ate here several times during our stay at the hotel and the staff were always lovely every time (even at 6.30am!) They were welcoming and accommodating. The food was really good, hot and quickly served. I'd be happy to return here again.

Fantastic place! I would highly recommend to anybody. My first time the other day and what a pleasant experience, me and the wife’s first anniversary. What can I say the staff are very welcoming and super helpful. The wife was struggling to find the best suited red wine to her meal and the waiter helped her out. End result the evening was perfect and the food is fabulous! Thank you

We had a celebratory meal at the Beefeater in Torquay. The food was lovely and the waitress Daisy-May was so accommodating. She was so patient with our son who was struggling with his food. We have neurodiverse children and meal times can often be stressful. Daisy-May made it much easier. If management see this.. Give her a pay rise!!! I'm sure we will be back!

Very expensive food for what you get , steak and fries which were definitely chips . A double burger which had good flavour but brioche bun had been on the hot plate far too long and was hard and very bland coleslaw which I left , all in all not a great experience for nearly £40

Usual Beefeater offerings but portion size wise was disappointing. Less than a desert spoon of peas as a portion is unacceptable at the prices charged. That said the very accomplished waitress happily provided an additional portion at no extra charge so all good in the end. We wouldn’t rush to return.

Ok,just ok nothing more. Beefeater is one of those companies that sends you emails with money off vouchers but then when you try to use the vouchers miraculously the beefeater you're in doesn't take that particular voucher. Quick chat with the manager and a compromise was reached . I got my discount and he got the money his food and service deserved

Had the misfortune of dining here both for Breakfast and for Dinner. Breakfast mostly cold and when told,

Awful experience. Ordered the Salmon @ £18.75 this came and was tough, and the whole presentation was very underwhelming. I returned it and was given a refund but had to suggest that an apology would be welcome. I ordered veggie lasagne and was not charged for this. It took 20 mins to arrive and was barely warm in the middle. I took it back to the manager who had refunded me and placed the order for the lasagne. They apologised, took the plate, and said they were not sure what was going on in the kitchen?? In all this time my husband had to sit and eat his meal which was not great either. The original bill was £50 for 2 meals and 2 bottles of beers, not cheap. No one came back to check what I might want to do, and no one seemed to care. We won't be going to the Beefeater in Torquay again. Others beware of overpriced substandard food and service.

Food was alright I suppose and the person who served us behind the bar was friendly, but I'd never go there again... We Ordered the set menu, and we had to ask for the dipping sauce on our starters that was supposed to come with it, then after eating our mains several staff walked past our table after we'd finished and just sat there with empty plates for about 30 minutes. We had to ask them to clear our table and bring out the desserts we'd paid for, which they brought out before still clearing the table. The custard on the dessert had a skin as if it'd sat under a heat lamp for a while... But at least the ice cream was still cold (Supposed even they couldn't get that one wrong). Then to top the evening off the bar staff were still serving a couple who were clearly drunk and disruptive, to the point security had to kick them out just after being served. Definitely a place to avoid!

Food was okay. For the price Beefeater chargers, you expect better quality. A nice setting and do good to a late enough time which Torquay severely lacks. A simple little garden, enjoyable and service was good.

Food is nice but nothing amazing. I ordered my steak medium rare cost £19.49 so expected to see pink inside but instead it was more of a medium to well done. You think that a restaurant called “Beef” eater would know how to cook a beef steak properly to order

Great food. Great location and view. Last minute booking, table for 4. 3 adults and a teen. Greeted by friendly staff and service was perfect. Food was very good and plenty of it. Not particularly busy at 8:30pm but a nice atmosphere. The beefeater is adjoined to the Premier Inn. Plenty of parking available, 3hrs free for beefeater customers - sadly not available when I visited but a large long stay carpark is located just behind. Very happy, will return.

We stayed at the attached Premier Inn and had a drink in the Belgrave garden, a meal & breakfast. The garden although looks nice with the lights was messy with rubbish and the furniture neglected. Lots of seagulls which could be managed with some netting. The meal was hot but taste wasnt there. Breakfast was a big gripe of mine putting freshly cooked food on top of old food - food poisioning waiting to happen.

The food was lovely staff were nice but after we were seated left for about 15 minutes before anyone took our order not sure if they were short staffed.
