We went to have a meal and was greeted with a lovely quizmaster emily and she managed to get us to do the quiz .even though we came last we had a lovely time and thank you emily

Had the best evening here tonight, Quizmaster Emily was amazing, best quiz ever. Topped the night off as the winners 🏆 will definitely come back next time we are visiting!

Great venue, the quiz is AMAZING Emily is a great host with the most...well worth going...only a pound and goes to a great charity...if you are on holiday in torquay check it out...great views aswell and a great laugh

Good /ok. Had salad- got the infamous core of lettuce ! Every time I strike for that. Large seating area, plenty seagulls so beware. DONT leave food on tables Mr Joe Public - honestly I could go mad at them. Had to ask for salad dressing as they forgot - again…otherwise good menu for a beefeater. Parking a bit sparse tho.

Lovely sea view from the restaurant. The staff are very friendly and the food is very good. The rooms are always clean but require some TLC to maintain the standard required.

We were served by Daisy she was very friendly and polite with a smile, always happy to help us, food was amazing and well cooked, hot and delicious would definitely come back 😋

We Dinned in the beefeater restaurant Monday night and we would like to thank our waitress 'Daisy May 'for going above and beyond to make sure our dining experience was exceptional Daisy kept the cocktails coming and she was very well mannered and knew area exceptionally well . This young lady is a credit to the restaurant thankyou again Daisy .Food was exceptional thankyou to the chef food cooked to perfection.We ate in the bar Tuesday night food also perfect courtesy staff nice clean bar area we enjoyed our stay .

Thoroughly enjoyed our food, service and location. We’ve been here several times throughout the year. Dan and the rest of the staff have been very accommodating and helpful too. Nothing is too much trouble. We’ve had several different items off the menu which have all been very tasty and cooked to perfection in my opinion. The menu has great choices which I’ve sampled 80% of but unfortunately never took pics of them all. The location is very nice and overlooking Torquay seafront.

We were there for breakfast. Mass processing. Payment is made before the meal. Everything was very dirty and unkempt. The warm food is also offered as a buffet (previously at Beefeater we had it so that you ordered it separately at the table and it was freshly prepared). There will be no repeat! Great service and welcome. Food is good but overpriced in my opinion.... but we had a discount voucher which they do often.

Unfortunately, our dinner experience here was genuinely terrible from start to finish. The food was incredibly disappointing—poorly cooked, lacking flavour, and honestly just not enjoyable in any way. We left feeling completely let down. To make matters worse, the manager—wearing a salmon-coloured shirt—was dismissive and came across as classist. Despite the restaurant being clearly half-empty, we were told there was no space available, which felt like an excuse rather than the truth. It was one of those experiences where nothing went right. From the food to the service, it was just a bad night out, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone based on this visit.

Went for dinner, tried to sit in the restaurant area but was told they were fully booked. Went online and there was plenty of bookings. Was then told the reason was they wanted to give their workers a break. Restaurant manager (in a salmon shirt) was rude when we asked about it Food was also awful, missed items which we had to chase, wrong items and steak cooked very wrong. Other items overcooked. Not worth the money Drinks were nice though

Kyle went above and beyond today for my birthday meal. I've never had such kind and professional service. Nothing was to much trouble. Made me and my friend laugh and enjoy our time there. Food was lovely too. Thank you to Kyle for making my birthday that bit more special. Would definitely recommend.

Came here with my little boy this morn for breakfast and it was great lots of variety very clean and tasty hot food !! The staff very friendly and helpful kept very clean keep up the good work !

We experienced a delicious meal and a very friendly atmosphere plus a gorgeous sea view. Our servers Lex and Daisy-May were lovely, attentive and super helpful. Especially considering it was Lex's second day there she did amazing.

My husband and I had a week stay at the Premier Inn in February, shortly after my Dad died. We had a meal deal stay, and I can honestly say it was a perfect place to reflect and heal. Plus, it was also my birthday. We've never been here before, but it certainly won't be the last time. The service and food were incredible, Daisy-May, Kyle, and the rest of the fabulous team are a credit to the company. Excellent, and we will see you again in May. Thank you for everything ❤️

Greeting was lovely when we entered, staff were lovely and attentive. We had the mixed grill and a steak, both were lovely. Daniel, our waiter for the night, was very sweet so thankyou! Was boyfriend’s first time trying a beefeater and now wants to come for his birthday!

Basics done well in a large scenic location overlooking the bay near the Riviera centre, though away from the main harbour area. Ideal if you are going to Riviera, fairly quick and efficient service, good filling food. Steak better than I expected. I visited twice over a long weekend.

Prices were very high. Food was okay. Nothing bad but not great.

I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THOS PLACE and I don't give out these recommendations easily 🤣 What an incredible experience. We went in for lunch on the off chance and, while they were busy, we were found a table by the window. Jodean was running the front of house all by herself but was completely attentive to every single table, offering service above and beyond what would have been expected. We ordered free fizzy refills & 2 gammon steaks. The drinks came out super quickly and the food wasn't too far behind. The gammon was perfectly cooked with a delicious fried egg and fantastic chips. As soon as a glass was empty, another was brought to the table before we even had the chance to ask! The service given by Jodean made this lunch so enjoyable for the two of us and whenever in Torquay, this will be our chosen hospitality venue. Such incredible service is hard to find so big shout out to Jodean! We weren't going to, but decided to stay for dessert as we were having such a lovely time! This also took no time at all and was gulped down quickly! Thank you to the kitchen team and Jodean for making our little trip to Torquay that little bit more special ❤️

Nachos was dire , no real cheese napkins or cutlery etc, only come here for the view in the garden in summertime. Queuing system at bar one barman and packed.

We had breakfast twice this week, once as a family of 6 then again as a 5. The first morning Rebecca couldn't have been more helpful as I realised that we had turned up without a booking in the Easter holidays! She couldn't have been more accommodating, what a positive/can do attitude! The food was hot tasty and plentiful and even though we were more than happy a chap (who I now know was called Kyle) stopped by to make sure all was good! Breakfast 2! Again a huge can do attitude from Jodean? (I think) Gorgeous table overlooking the sea (outdoor seating also available) Pay for 1 adult, get 2 free children's breakfasts! Hot breakfast, continental breakfast and hot and cold drinks included, not sure how they do it! I don't know the name of any other staff but very proficient in keeping food topped up and empty plates cleared ! Looking forward to our next holiday already!!!

We had a pleasant steak lunch and salad. The steaks were cooked just right, although mine would have benefited from the chef, trimming off some gristle before serving. The restaurant has a good outlook over the bay and 3 hours free parking for customers. Table service was excellent.

All OK. But a bit odd to sit down. I approached a waitress to ask to sit.....how did you get in? Um, through the door. Seems it was the wrong door...despite it being open.. weird and not very friendly.

Really overpriced, 2 burgers and 2 soft drinks came to £40 we were absolutely disgusted the burgers were average at best,save your money and go to McDonald's where the food is a quarter of the price and better

We had exceptional service on our first night (19/2/25) by Dan at the Beefeater next to The Premier Inn Seafront Torquay. Dan was so lovely and accommodating even though I asked if I could swap an item on the menu on my order. He also helped me the next evening because of an uncomfortable situation I asked if we could move to another table, even though he would not be our server he kindly arranged it for me. Dan is a true asset to The Beefeater. We found all the team at this venue; both the hotel and restaurant were very professional and caring. A very enjoyable few days staying at this hotel. I feel sure we will return in the near future.

Food was pretty decent, chips went cold really fast. Daisy-May our server was very kind and attentive to all our needs and made the evening flow really nicely 😊

My partner and I popped in on our walk back round Torquay seafront. Very nice restaurant. We were greeted by a lovely lady called Sharon. We sat near the window where we could see the sea . Turned out to be a great spot as the heaters directed the warmth over to us . We had the four starter deal and a pudding . Really big portions for a starter .will definitely go again. Lovely meals, friendly staff. I enjoyed sirloin steak and my wife had three starters. Individuals, couples and larger family groups were enjoying their experiences. I marked down the atmosphere as we were both cold sitting at the table which spoiled our experience

Typical Beefeater, excellent steaks and grills.

The venue was undergoing a refurbishment so the main restaurant was closed. Food was being served in the bar area and there wasn't waiter service. Despite this our food was excellent and service friendly and efficient.

We stayed at the Premier inn over Christmas so had Breakfast and booked for Christmas Dinner at a cost of £72 per person. This restaurant is dirty, cutlery had dried food on it every day we had breakfast which was twice, Christmas Dinner was disgusting, the veg was undercooked to the extent it was rock hard, the Beef had water pouring out of it, very much looked like it had been frozen and thrown on a griddle to defrost, it certainly had not just been cut from a fresh roast. Then to top it all my xmas pudding arrived on a dirty plate, it was dirty on both sides but you could see something red coloured all stuck to the bottom. The wait time for dinner was a total joke, starter was more or less straight away, then main was around 1 hours wait after starter, then sweet was again 1 hours wait. I sent more or less my whole main back telling them it was cold and undercooked, they offered to microwave it, NO THANKS, I sent the full sweet back as soon as it arrived showing them the dirty plate, they said they had no more would I like some thing else. This was a meal pre booked a month before why would I want some thing else. They refused refund as it was paid in advance and said as a good will gesture would knock the drinks off, which was one pint and one Orange Juice. We dine out every Christmas day and have done for the last 10 years, this was the worst experience we have ever had. I had packet roast potatoes for my Christmas Dinner.

It depends on the time of year and you don't always have to rate it the same way. Tables could be cleaned better and faster. The food is different too!

We really enjoy eating at the beefeater torquay. Good food. Good service. Beautiful views over the seafront. We were served by Daniel B. A lovely young man who was attentive, cheerful and just the right person for the job.

Absolutely spot on, family meal ( Party of 12 ) had booked in advance as some places would not take a large booking. Staff all friendly, helpful and welcoming. All food arrived together and very nice, excellent all round.

Dan was very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. A fantastic waiter!

Absolutely wonderful visit, popped in on the off chance for a few drinks in what seemed to be busy period to be greeted by a very welcoming and grinning lady being the bar, Trina I believe her name was, the drinks were made very quickly with witty banter and overall experience was lovely.

Nice meal with friends. Tried the festive menu which was lovely but unfortunately it's not included when using discount vouchers but nowhere is this advertised, disappointing. Service by Amy was of her usual high standard.

Ordered two drinks, one being a cocktail. My drink arrived, to then be told by the waitress about 10 minutes later, the cocktail we ordered wasn't available. Ordered calamari for a starter, that was fine. Waitress collected the plate about 20-25 minutes after we had finished, which is a long time. We then had to wait ages for our main meal, about 40 minutes. In the end, I had to inquire about when we would be receiving it. My husband's meal was missing the coleslaw, and for my meal, the calamari was so overcooked and tough it bounced off my plate onto the floor when I tried to put my fork into it, lol! My prawns were also overcooked and rubbery. I'm so glad I had a 40% voucher as I would have felt cheated paying the full £22 for my awful meal. The waiter didn't apologise for the wait and offered no condiments. I had to get up and search other tables and get them myself. No one came over to give us our bill, so I had to get up again and walk toward the till area to pay. When I mentioned to the waitress (who was actually very nice) that one of the meals was missing the coleslaw, she just said,'I'm sorry about that,' and that was it, lol. Awful service, bad food. Staff need re-training. Was nice that they told us to have a nice evening when we left though.

Overpriced food, tiny portions, table surfaces sticky, kids running around screaming in the bar area unsupervised. Absolute lowest quality atmosphere, value for money and overall standards. Will never go for a meal and drinks there again.

Really nice location! You can see the sea from the restaurant, which is wonderful, and they have a large bar garden for when the weather is wonderful, so im sure in the summer it is very popular! We have been twice while on holiday down here, and both times we haven't had to book, but we went during the day. The restaurant itself is very clean, and the staff are lovely and friendly. They are attentive and helpful at every step, but not overbearing. The first time we went, we both had the chicken and ribs combo, which was very fresh and delicious. The ribs did have a slight spicy kick to them though, which I didn't know about! The second visit we had smothered chicken and beef lasagna. I wasn't overly thrilled by the chicken. It was cooked well enough, but the BBQ sauce was very vinegary, the lasagna was delicious though. The fish and chips looked amazing that a different table had! The toilets are a bit of a mission to get to where we were sat, but they were very clean and well signposted. I'd definitely go back here again, the food is nice and the staff make it wonderful!
