Walk into the Preston Station buffet with a cup of tea from McDonald’s in my hand. Not even got to the counter to buy a croissant. Manager woman says to me if you want to stay in here with that I will have to give you another cup to “cover up” the advertising for McDonald’s. Came up with the usual “I’m a business, not a waiting room”. The welcome was absolutely outrageous and I was made to feel like an imposter. Couldn’t understand the advertising for a competitor claim. Everyone knows who McDonald’s are

Had an hour to spare. Venue pretty busy as it sits on the middle platform of a busy station. Separate counters gif bar sales, then coffee and baguette type sales and then a whistle stop shop. The whole place is looking very tired. My cappuccino was ok but not outstanding. As l as I had the Katsu baguette. Not bad but pribably more katsu-ish. I understand this is a quick food joint, but if you are going to charge for a service it should be good rather than paying monopoly prices because that’s all there is.

0715 morning. Two ladies staff at the bar. One of them, with ponytail & purple uniform was very professional & delightful. However, the other one, with no uniform, was rude & very unpleasant treating me. She needs some customer service training. She is a liability for the company.

More than £10 for a coffee and a chicken panini that had more lettuce than chicken. First and last time I’ll be eating anything from here.

Abysmal breakfast roll, under cooked with a rubber egg. below par coffee overfilled cup minimal milk in Americano with milk. At a price of over £8:00. A disgusting experience. At an exorbitant price. I won’t be visiting here again..

Came in today to grab a sandwich before a connecting train. I had a reusable cup from a well known coffee chain but was asked to leave before I could even make a purchase, as, in the words of the female member of staff who approached me, they were " her competitor" and she couldn't allow me to sit in with it on show. I was confused and extremely embarrassed, and left, but noted that other people were sitting in the vicinity with cups from other chains located in the station. This was a bizarre and completely unnecessary interaction from the member of staff, who didn't even give me chance to explain or make me feel comfortable enough to continue a purchase. This did not feel like an issue with policy, of which I would have understood, but felt targeted because of a certain brand and then humiliated in a busy environment. I have often purchased from this place in the past, but will now no longer be a returning customer.

I have just experienced the most unpleasant bacon roll in my entire life. Undercooked miniscule amount of bacon on the smallest roll ever. No butter. Tough and with an odd unbaconlike taste. Thoroughly miserable product at a ridiculously high price.

While it cost £5.25, the heated chicken katsu in a roll was delicious with lots of meat. Staff were efficient. Preston railway station is a stunningly beautiful Grade 11 listed heritage building. I love using rail in the UK.

I don't normally leave a review but I think I should take time to do it this time as I was impressed by one of your staff. There was a lady named Cheryl who helped my elderly grandad. My grandad accidentally spilt his drink in the customer waiting area at the station, he went back to the cafe to ask if someone can help him to clean the mess for him. My grandad said that the lady has not just clean the floor but also insisted to replace his drink. Thank you for your kind hearted staff who helped my grandad.

My twin brother Stephen and I were heading to Lancaster from Liverpool, we had to change trains at Preston Railway Station and as we had time to kill we dropped by this Upper Crust outlet. A cool looking establishment, neat and tidy, staff were absolutely fab ,made us so welcomed, we ordered a flat white coffee each, these were served steaming hot, we just kicked back, chilled out and looked forward to our break in Lancaster sipping our coffee's and waiting for our train. Coffee was good, a really tasty brew ,on a freezing cold morning just what we needed to warm us up . We really enjoyed our coffee's in here before we moved on to catch our train and for a first time visit to this particular Upper Crust outlet we were totally impressed, its easy to locate in Preston Railway Station and is most definitely well worth checking out if you're in the station .

After having read mixed reviews we thought we would give Grand Ruby, Preston a try. They were very accommodating with our requests, vegan option and omitting other ingredients from our other dishes. I really wish I had listened to the negative reviews! What a waste of nearly £40. It was unappetising to look at and eat. The chips were dry and horrible, the crispy chicken was soggy and the noodle dishes had a strange taste...I wondered if they had been cooked and stood somewhere. Never again, horrendous!
