Fantastic Chinese, ordered collection for the first time, we collected within 20 mins , I recommend the salt and chilli chicken balls huge portion for the price

just avoid. save your money. have a crisp butty at home. food does not taste fresh at all. had 3 chips and threw the lot away. never going here again.

Usually have the best experience with Jade city, but this time it was a disaster.

The most disgusting bland food which tasted of nothing. Chips were rock hard and thin, ribs were fatty & full of batter.

AVOID!!! Ignorant and just blatantly rude staff. Somehow got order wrong despite giving them a piece of paper with order wrote down and she confirmed order back to me before payment. Waited in takeaway then took order home, two dishes missing and gave us a dish we hadn't ordered. So went straight back to shop had to pay again for missing items even though they realised it was there mistake they hadn't put it on the order at till. Owner had no problem arguing with customer despite it being shops fault meanwhile waiting for these dishes to get cooked the rest of our order was going cold..Food on average edible very bland.

No stars for this place, absolute joke of a takeaway. They don't even understand English properly, can't get an order right and try charging for food they missed off the order. Avoid at all costs, they don't even deserve 1 star in my opinion

Got the salt and chilli combination (munchy box). Lots of flavour with the chips, chicken pieces nice as were the chicken balls. Curry sauce very decent too. But....the chicken wings were more like sparrow wings. Barely any meat on them, covered in crunchy batter. And the crispy beef? Should just be called crispy. No beef in them whatsoever. Literally all batter. Very disappointing as its a local takeaway so wanted to support, but doubt I'll bother again.

We’ve ordered from Jade City a couple of times, usually the food is good. This time it was not! The food is absolutely disgusting. Like the previous review I don’t know if there has been a change in ingredients but it’s awful. Soggy spring rolls, the beef curry is lumpy and literally tastes of dish soap and the vermicelli is tasteless. Definitely won’t be ordering from here again.

The delivery was early. However, when we opened the bag, the soup lid had come off and had spilt over all the food, including soaking through the chips. We were left with no soup and soggy food. Food is always amazing from here but this obviously spoilt our experience this time and it is such a shame it wasn’t packaged appropriately.

Great food as usual. But you’re taking the mick with the seaweed. You’ve HALVED the portion size. Literally halved, it’s now tiny! And still £4! Not happy at all.

l have ordered from here numerous times and always been happy with the food- but ordered beef curry last night and was disappointed as most of the beef was really chewy and there was not a lot of sauce so quite dry

Took a while for delivery, nearly 2 hours since I made the order

Ordered sweet and sour chicken, egg fried rice and king prawn chow mein today for our tea. What a waste of money. Food was very blunt and tasteless.

The curry sauce was a tiny pot and very very thick. Everything else was lush.

0/5!! Worst takeaway experience ever!! I never ever leave a review, however this one deserved to have one!! I ordered salt and pepper prawns, salt and pepper chips and Singapore chow mein. Prawns and chips were too salty and chow mein had no flavour at all! It was absolutely disgusting, I couldn’t eat it so had to bin them all🤮 I called the takeaway to report the issue and get a refund, the guy I spoke to was really rude and aggressive on the phone, refused to give me a refund and there was no apology at all!!! If you don’t want to waste your money, don’t order from here!! Absolutely disgusting food and service!!! Will never order from here again!

Very disappointed this time with most of the food we ordered. Not sure if there's been a change of chef or ingredients but it's certainly nowhere near as good as it was on previous orders. I normally order the same items but this time the chicken fried rice and chicken chow mein had an unusual taste. I can't say it was awful but I didn't like it and they were very greasy. Normally the crispy won ton have some sort of meat filling but these were totally empty and tasteless. I have previously never had a problem with Jade City but after this time has made me think about trying somewhere else for my next order.

Food on time for delivery estimate but was told “on the way” 30 minutes later food arrived? Strange it took so long I am 5 minutes away. Food itself was average, clearly been sat in the car or bag for awhile and sort of bland.

Surprisingly, it arrived quicker than expected. However, upon opening the package, my wife discovered that the chicken was spoiled. The taste and smell were clearly unpleasant. We visited the restaurant hoping for a replacement, but they seemed indifferent. They took back all our meals and suggested we seek a refund online. Regrettably, no apologies were offered, and they mentioned being busy with other orders. It's disappointing that they didn't handle the situation well. I'd caution others against ordering at this restaurant to avoid potential food safety issues.

For the price the portions are brilliant especially the chicken balls in batter 8 per portion massive only ate like 3-4 and I’m stuffed save the rest for lunch tomorrow I think thanks jade city and the delivery driver really nice and polite not like most delivery drivers thanks again. Will deffo order from you guys again even tho I have been coming to jade city for years

Crispy shredded beef in black pepper sauce was mushie not crispy. The beef tasted like fish and the sauce was a pale brown rather then black and tasted of nothing. Everything else was fine but everything else was also idiot proof.

The fish was burnt all over and chips were undercooked. The chow mein was mediocre. Would not order from again.

Prawn toast tasted weird, not like other ones I've had from a Chinese, kind of tasted off. Won tons were awful, no filling inside of them and way to crispy hurt my teeth to chew

Everything was really bland. No flavour at all. Weve order before and its been nice. But today everything was plain and some of it looked like it had been reheated. Very disappointed.

Jade city chinese restaurant Preston. Worst chinese restaurant ever!! Spoilt Chicken!!!. Orderd via Just eat with order no 36447070 at 17:50pm, food suppose to be delivered at 19:00 but delivered at 18:11. I was very sick after tasting the spoilt salt and chillie chicken wings! No apology or remorse from the staff, obviously used to bad complaints and negative reviews. Just had to share this as someones life might be put to danger soonest.

Order accepted at 17:54 and estimated delivery between 18:40-19:00. Got a text at 19:09 to advise there was a delay, it eventually arrived at 20:10. Food was Luke warm, spring rolls and prawn toast were soggy and not to usual standard. Very disappointed

Have tried lots of Chinese takeaways in the area but since finding Jade City we have consistently ordered from here. The food is always hot and of a high quality (the char sui bao is perfect). The portions are generous, delivery is usually earlier than the latest time given & the only time that an item was missing from our order it was easily sorted with a brief phonecall & the driver was back in no time with a fresh item!

Ordered at 18.05 and delivery said it would be before 18.55. I then got a notification saying delivery would be between 19.25 & 19.45 nearly 2 hours after my initial order was placed. I spoke to the restaurant and they told me it's just what it is as they were busy. I understand places can be busy on a Friday night, but state that when ordering. I ended up collecting the order as I refused to wait this long.

When contacted by phone 1 hr 35mins after ordering was told it was very busy and our meal hadn't started to be cooked yet. Wednesday nights in Winter aren't generally considered the most popular night for takeaway.
