Got the munch box delicious twenty minutes early nice and hot the chicken was delicious plenty for two people thank you

Waited an hour for delivery, called to be told it’s going to be another hour , said the road was busy earlier ( ordered at 9pm so not sure what’s that’s got to do with it , then said foods not made year , then said had no driver ??

Excellent tasty food with great service

Not good or tasty. Very little Chinese about it. Chicken tasted horrible and just clumps of meat! I was actually ill all night from either the chicken or the prawns.

Food is very tasty but don't order the munchy box, 1/3rd is chips very poor value for money, the picture is before I had eaten any, a few years ago these where far better.

Good food but the prices seem to change every other week, you can order the same thing and be charged differently each time.

We ordered from here tonight.. The food itself isn't terrible but the prices are extortionate for what you get.. I'm wanting a bit of money back to be honest. Not ordering from here again. Food needs more work and the portion sizes are not a good sharing size for a family of 4 reflective of the price..

I always have the HONEY SPARE RIBS - They are Truly amazing every time! My Partner gets SWEET & SOUR CHICKEN (with NO Onions) The Ribs always come with lots of meat on (you get between 6 & 7 Ribs! Very tasty & very filling. * ONLY 1 disappointment is their CHIPS (French Fries)… They are SERVED IN A BOX… So by the time you get them home… they are ‘Soggy & Luke Warm’ REMEDY: I go home via ‘Noblett’s Chippy’ & buy a large portion of ‘proper’ CHIPS from there instead… (Not a problem, as they are just around the corner)

The last couple of orders have been really disappointing, tonight we waited and hour over our delivery time. My chicken fried rice was bland and stodgy as was my sons egg fried rice. The sweet and sour chicken sauce was was the only part of the order we ate that had taste.

An unusual Chinese takeaway with a good range of vegetarian options. The mock chicken in curry sauce was very good. There was a muddle with our order but they sorted it out quickly.

Thought I'd get a Chinese for once. New Fulwood Chinese. Worst one I've ever had. It was ready within 2-3 minutes of ordering it! I knew I was in for it. It was ready faster than I could boil my kettle. My curry sauce was missing, the chips were like cardboard. My veg spring rolls tasted like soap. The missus' special fried rice was tasteless and her honey BBQ ribs were dry. All in the bin.

Quick, efficient and darn good food.

I decided to try Fulwood because of the reviews and try somewhere new to my usual place (Red Bean, who are pretty good). I can say I was not disappointed. Firstly, I was told the delivery would take 45 mins, it came in 10mins, maybe because it was a early Monday evening. The food arrived lovely and hot, freshly cooked and very tasty. We ordered Salt and Pepper Chicken Wings, King Prawn Fried Rice (which I was shocked at the portion size), chips and curry sauce and it was all really nice, went for a basic choice but will definitely try the dim-sum and other dishes next time. Look forward to our next visit, thank you for the yummy food!

This takeaway was good some time back but the food now is not as it used to be.Special fried rice was greasy and the ingredients looked and tasted past their best.Curry sauce was very very salty and medicinal tasting.We didn't finish our meals.Overpriced at £18.50 for two basic meals.Awful!!!

Was great for a short while, but really not great now, chef change maybe. Food is bland and cooked in old oil. Second time in the last few months we have tried and been disappointed. No more!

Been going on and off for 30 years, first owners always full 5 stars, then food went downhill a bit with next owners so stopped going, happy to report that it's back up to 5 stars. Awesome food, recommended.

Great chinese food, fast service

The sweet and sour chicken balls where more like popcorn chicken and very dry the sweet and sour sauce very watery the chips barely warm and whatever sauce they used in the house special chow mien was making me feel like I was going to throw up had a couple of bites had to throw the rest in the bin will not be going back ever, worst Chinese we have ever had!!

I would give it less than 1 star if we could, the chips were slimy. The meat tasted off in the dishes and Me and My partner have both been ill since eating it. NEVER AGAIN!!!

It’s just ok - decent portions and well enough presented but it didn’t taste freshly cooked. The Salt & Pepper chicken tasted like meat that had been freezer to fridge prior reheating and the Special Fried rice didn’t have a lot of meat and, what was there, was again a bit tired, chewy and reheated. Not been for a while, gave it another go but I think that will be the last time - it’s not terrible but it’s just not special & there are better options

Just tried this for the first time and it was excellent, will definitely be going back.

Haven't visited this takeaway for several years. It was always a reliablely, great alternative to eating out or even cooking. Tonight's takeout will be the last one I buy from here. Ordered a squid special and a basic chicken curry. They both went in the bin. The curry tasted like a cook in sauce and the squid was just greasy. The Prawn Crackers were fine but the bag was half the size of other outlets. So dissapointed.

Great food, really tasty and fresh!

Absolutely stunned at how good this place is then found out it is run by the same family who own Tang so not so surprised! We ordered Salt & Pepper Chicken Wings & Peking Spare Ribs to start. Both were very good, the wings were to die for, crispy with a slight chilli kick. Lemon Chicken & Spiced Beef in a Chilli Oil Sauce with fried rice for mains. Rice was light and fluffy not brown and oily like most takeaway rice and the portions were very generous. Lemon Chicken was on point with firm, crispy chicken pieces in a zingy sauce that wasn't over thick and gloopy like it can be. Spiced beef was delicious with a kick and freshly fried, crisp vegetables. We can't recommend this place enough and I can actually understand the bad reviews below from those who went to the old place who now don't like it because this now a takeaway doing proper Chinese food and not the anglicised, MSG laden dishes 9 out of 10 places serve up and people have been accustomed to. I really can't see any other Chinese in Preston bettering this place, beautiful!

Tried this last night for the first time and was shocked at how good the quality of the food was. Delicious, large portions and no MSG. The veg and meat were of good quality, nothing was greasy, gloopy or glucose syrupy as we've experienced with many others. The sides came in tidy cartons. This is the first Chinese takeaway in Preston we've really rated for a very long time. Very impressed and will definitely be using again!

I've eaten from this takeaway various times and every time I have been very happy with the food and how fast it is made. It stays warm for a long time and is very delicious. Highly recommended.

Had a home delivery for the 1st time last night from this takeaway. Excellent service, delicious hot food. This will be my no1 Chinese go to place in future.

Called here as my usual takeaway was closed. I have to say I was not disappointed. The service was excellent, food is cooked in an open kitchen in front of you. The portions were so big I had it for lunch the next day as well!!!A bit out of my way but will definitely visit again.

Recently ordered for collection from here, not the best I’ve had but also not the worse I’ve had either. I may try it again in the future.

1 star is far to much for this place, this was probably the best Chinese takeaway in the northwest! I used to be a regular here for 15 years, the curry was absolutely delicious but now it’s disgusting, I keep clinging on to the hope that the chengs will buy the business back and show this lot what proper Chinese food is all about, please please please come back Mr an Mrs cheng we miss you

Thought we would try this Chinese, prawn crackers were very good, chicken fried rice had boiled chicken in, chow mein was ok but thin noodles but flavour was nice, curry was quite bland, could tell it was made from powder.

Absolutely loved the meal we purchased.Chicken fried rice,chicken curry and salt and pepper chicken.It is clean and also can see the chefs cooking it.Highly recommend.It has new owners.

I have been going to hardcastle road chinese for a number of years the food has always been great. My first visit in over a few months,the staff are very friendly but unfortunately the food is below average and very salty for the quality of the food the price range is not very reasonable either. I don't think this will be no longer one of my favourites..

Simple efficient service and excellent food. After many years of coming here we’ve honed our choices and are always impressed. It is being refurbished in September for the first time in 20+ years so we are looking forward to the new look and possibly new menu.

This used to be the best takeaway by miles. It’s obviously changed hands and unfortunately even though we have given more than one chance, the food is nowhere near as good as it used to be, in fact the last time we ordered we ended up throwing most of it away. Won’t be ordering again.

Got my order wrong for the second time, promised a free replacement for the items which totalled £8.00+, just rang up then for my order, and they said they can’t do the replacement but they can do a can of Coke. Used to be really good, never going again. Foods not that great anymore too

This used to be one of the best Chinese take aways in Preston. It has obviously changed hands as the food is now inedible. Had to throw the whole lot in the bin. The chicken was disgusting and the noodles tasted of old oil. Never again.

Was 5 star but staff changed. Food is now good but not great as it was previously. Service has recently gone steeply downhill. Current counter staff seem unable to cope, unruly toddler behind counter, order taker confusing orders, leaving phone customers on hold for several minutes, etc. Gave up on ordering by phone tonight and gone somewhere else instead. Disappointed!!!

Estar a sólo un par de minutos en coche, nos han sido visitantes regulares de Fulwood China desde la década de 1980 un promedio de al menos una vez al mes. Después de esta noche, nunca más. Fue terrible - insípido y empapadas con demasiadas zanahorias (? ? ? ? ? ). Pasó por un episodio similar con nuevos propietarios hace unos años, pero afortunadamente, se reanudó el servicio normal rápidamente. Parece más nuevos propietarios con nuevas ideas. No volveré.

Not impressed. The Salt and Pepper chicken was cold, as were the chips and the curry Sauce. The King Prawn Chow Mein was actually hot. My Wife is a chef, we probed it. 32 degrees. When I rang to tell them he accused me of lying. REALLY. Joke. Never again...

Me encanta mi chino, pero este fue simplemente comestible. Nunca he tiró tanto de comida para llevar en la papelera. Pedimos pollo arroz frito que tenía el arroz pollo y viscosa era difícil así cocidas, sal y pimienta costillas que eran totalmente seco y no tienen la salsa de nudillos retirado y el curry era delgada, y sabía un poco quemados. Las patatas fritas eran bien!

La comida es deliciosa. Nos dan una llevar desde aquí una o dos veces al mes. Siempre excelente y afortunadamente siempre la misma. Nuestros favoritos no han cambiado durante años. Hemos estado utilizando este lugar por lo menos 15 años. Nada de lujos cuando vas, pero la comida es magnífica y servir rápidamente. Menú muy amplio y si pides pan de gambas tendrás suficiente para invitar a los vecinos. Muy generosas porciones. Altamente recomendado.

The food here is a little expensive compared with other Chinese takeaways. Portion sizes are average, and the food can be a little bland, as has already been commented on. I think the menu needs a bit of a re-vamp.
