Definitely the best Chinese in Atherstone. I’ve never had a bad meal from here. Always good food and the lady on the phone is always super polite and helpful

Very nice Crispy Chicken and Pineapple takeaway meal treat, Chips were overdone and just ends rather than decent steak cit chips though. Nice enough to go back.

Absolutely amazing food Despite the phone ringing constantly with a stream of orders I was given full attention whilst placing my order. As it was busy ++ there was a little wait but the food was really hot and really tasty. Highly recommend

Had Special Chow mein.Good portion sizes but found the food quite bland . Also some jelly like bits which was unpleasant. My husband had crispy chicken which he said was "alright". I tasted his food but again found it quite tasteless and the sauce didn't have any real tang to it and seemed as though it had been made with just a little flavouring and cornflour. I was only going to give 2 stars, but it is Christmas.

Pure salt..no real taste..they really push that Mono sodium Glutamate in there food..never again will I eat there ..if you do line up a few gallons of water for the next 24 hours ..Awful

Absolutely love the place, food is always very good! The people that run it are really friendly and have great customer service. I would most definitely recommend unicorn Chinese.

First time ordering from here as the other Chinese I order from was closed. Wasn’t overly impressed. The BBQ sauce was a thick very dark brown jelly like texture and didn’t taste very nice. The crispy sea weed was way to over salted I couldn’t eat it. The vegetarian yuk sung was an extremely small portion half the size of what I get from the other Chinese I ordered from. The prawn soup was very bland. All in all not the best experience. Felt like I wasted £20.

Service was perfect, prompt at answering the call and delivery was in time. Unfortunately the food wasn't to our liking, a little too greasy, the sweet and sour sauce didn't taste anything like we'd expect and chicken wasn't quite right.

Dont get me wrong have ordered from here a few times no problems. The weekend I ordered to be told they will be 40 mins so I decided to have a quick shower. Around 20mins after the phone call my bathroom door knocked. The delivery guy had let himself into my house and banged on my bathroom door!! Not happy at all!!

Had not tried Unicorn in years so gave it a shot. Friendly lady took my order and food was prepared quickly. Sweet and sour chicken balls a bit greasy, but OK tasting. Noted dishes showed if they were hot/very hot. Ordered chilli beef which had no warning of heat. It was so loaded with diced chillies that it was beyond hot and not edible. Crispy beef was doused in sauce and had no chance of being crispy. Instead, just chewy bits of tasteless meat. Rather disappointed as other reviews seem to be positive. Sadly, just another of the dull Chinese take aways that plague Atherstone.

We've been in Atherstone for 3 years and this is our favourite local takeaway by far. The staff are friendly and helpful and the food is delicious. Their data management is really impressive - once you've ordered from them once, their system remembers your number in future, so you don't have to give your full name and address every time. Would recommend!

We had a chinese takeaway from here the other night purely because atherstone house was closed. Was a bit apprehensive, but it was actually really tasty. One recommendation would be to add tofu to the menu :)

Best Chinese food in atherstone!! We order couple of times and never disappointed .I will 100% recommend this restaurant!!

Really really good. Food was hot and cooked well. Salt and pepper ribs were cooked supervly with no soggy fat, all crispy. Chicken balls were amazing, not doughy and not dry but moist. Egg fried rice could do with a little more egg but apart from that one of the bedt Chinese I've ever had, and Ive had lots.

Probably the worst meal I've experienced locally. The rice was lumpy, chicken satay over cooked and the sauce was more like curry sauce. Sweet and sour chicken was the worst, crapy bits of overcooked chicken in a metallic tasting light batter and a sauce that was nothing like sweet and sour. Avoid unless you want to be disappointed!!

I wont go anywhere else. Lovely food. But I do want them the cut the meat up more innthe curry . Always large pieces

Unicorn , been going here for 15 years at least, foods always been spot on can’t beat the salt and chilli chips with the garlic chilli prawns 🍤 my favourite, Never had a bad one.

Today I ate here I don’t often eat Chinese food being vegan as it can be hard with all the sauces and added meat and egg to dishes and I worry about eating animal or dairy or eggs tho when ever I order here I’m rest assured that my meal is tailored to my diet lovely friendly women on till and delicious fresh food high quality fresh vegetables and fresh flavour as apposed to other places I have eaten when I was not vegan that served oriental food this is by far the best I travel all over the Uk and I would not go to any other, the hygiene looks clean as can see kitchen from till and the service is top notch big portions Thanks would recommend

Been eating from the unicorn for about 10 years, the people running the place are sound nice folks and don't mind you asking to add things to dishes or how you like your meat cooked, but one thing I don't like is some normal dishes come with garlic and not everyone is a fan, my order!!! Chicken fried rice with extra prawns, roast duck chips & bbq sauce, tell to keep sauce separate, ask for a portion of pancakes, Cantonese sweet and sour chicken, prawn crackers is a must, best places in town, fast delivery,

Used this take away on a number of occasions and unlike some others have never been let down in terms of quality or service. We particularly like the Thai dishes that they serve. Would certainly recommend.

Eaten here a few times and the food was great but last week we got some take away and the food was horrible. Very old. Couldn’t eat it.

Had a takeaway from here a couple of weeks ago and hadn't had one in a while, normally the food is good but decided this time to have the crispy duck and have to say considering it's one of the most expensive things on the menu it wasn't great. My partner had never had it before and a bit gutted that was his first experience of it. It was dry and WAY too crispy. It wouldn't however put me off using them again as like i say they do normally provide great food and my favourites are the chicken chow mein (dry) and special fried rice. Still one of my favourite places to get a takeaway from in Atherstone.

Can thoroughly recommend The Unicorn especially the Chicken Kung Po - packed with water chestnuts, cashews, lots of veggies and chicken in a hot sweet sauce .....yum!

had a few deliveries and takeaways from here now, food very up and down, massively dissapointed with the inedible fried seaweed sugar and salt in equal quantities with seaweed. some good dishes like noodles singapore the rest are a roll of the dice, will be changing takeaway, pity very friendly and nice and the first meal we had was great

Soy siempre escéptico probando nuevas para llevar chino, pero al ser nuevo en la zona tuvimos que empezar en alguna parte. Este lugar fue recomendado y tengo que decir que nos sorprendió gratamente. La comida estaba genial. No tengo ninguna queja. Sin duda volveremos. (no dejes que la moda de decoración cansado!).

This is a take away. The staff are always polite & friendly and the food is consistently good. The food when delivered is usually piping hot and the portion sizes are great.

If you are drunk on the way home and want cheap grease and low quality, it may do. If you want half quality food, please don't eat here. We had ribs that contained no ribs (just fried gristle) and other cheap, cheap ingredients that the owners ought to be ashamed of.

I use the Unicorn Takeaway on a regular basis at least three times a month. The owners are friendly and interesting to talk to, I cannot fault the food.

I found a wasp in my Kung Poe chicken. Yes a wasp!! I was disgusted and complained but they didn't even offer me my money back. Terrible.

Nice little Chinese takeaway in the heart of Atherstone. The food is very good with an excellent selection of sauces. The portions are large. I find the BBQ sweet and sour spare ribs as a starter, enough for mains. Staff in there are polite, friendly...

Does what it says on the tin, good pub food at great prices with excellent service. The pub is geared for food & you wont be disappointed
