The Quicken Tree Restaurant in North Warwickshire

What an awful experience we encountered. I took my mother in law and family for afternoon tea on Mother’s Day. It took 20 mins for our tea to arrive because they couldn’t find any cups, to then be served it in paper cups, how embarrassing in front of my mother in law who we had booked the special occasion for, the food stand then arrived for 3 people only, I challenged the server who said no the 6 fingers of sandwiches and 5 cakes was correct, I then challenged them again and was told “oh sorry we made a mistake and proceeded to bring out 4 more sandwich fingers but no cakes. I have since complained to the establishment who’s only offer to rectify this issue is to offer 50% off a return lunch or afternoon tea for two, what am I meant to to for the other 3 people that attended, tell them they don’t count. The bill for 5 came to £200 and they can’t even invite all five back, what do sandwiches and cake cost that much. Shame on you Quicken Tree, dreadful experience

Really attentive service especially from Peter. Lovely food and no issues about asking for kids portions as an adult which can sometimes be refused at restaurants. Always enjoy our visits.

We recently went for my wifes Retirement dinner there were 40 of us including 5 children, just like to thank all the staff... Charlotte Lucy and Laura were excellent on the day and a special thank you to George and the other waiters and waitresses they all worked so hard on the day to get 34 sunday Dinners out so promptly really made my wifes day Special .

We went to this lovely, quirky restaurant for an Afternoon Tea. We had been before with larger groups ( a few years ago ) and had a lovely time but oh dear, things have changed! Just like savannah said in December , the staff appeared to not care less about us at all. I tried to gain one surly waitress's attention and she cocked a deaf-un, but I called louder and she had to address me then! The finger sandwiches were OK but the scone was dry and so was the chocolate cake. The tea plate was saucer-sized and along with the lengthy wait for drinks and food we decided that we wouldnt be going again which is a pity as the establishment is a lovely place to visit. They had a classic car rally on this day which saved the day out for us.

Charlotte is a fantastic waitress—friendly, attentive, and always on top of things. She made our dining experience smooth and enjoyable. Highly recommend her service!

Lovely restaurant / venue with an unique atmosphere / approach

Went here with a group of friends couldn't fault the food it was lovely. The only problem I had as it was very hot I asked the waitress if possible the heating was turned down and she swore. My friend doesn't have tea or coffee so she asked if she could have a hot chocolate and she said in a very rude voice no. But brought one anyway. Because it was so hot I asked for a jug of water and she rolled her eyes not the best service

My friend and I had a lovely afternoon tea there yesterday. The food was lovely especially the sausage rolls and scones. The staff were friendly and one lady particularly was very helpful and accommodating. Sorry I didn't get her name. Would recommend.

Love this place! it's quirky ,nice atmosphere, food is good and the staff are lovely and set in beautiful grounds definitely worth a visit. Also dog friendly in bar area 🐕‍🦺🦮

Friendly helpful staff and accommodating when something is not the norm. Great art work to look at, makes it an interesting place to visit, even for a coffee, as we did. We had pancakes. Yum. Will defo go again.

Great food, we had Sunday lunch (trio of meats) which was well presented and cooked. The dining room was busy, the inexperience of some of the staff showed with the table not being cleared as quickly as it could have been and beer sales missed. These are only minor details and one that will soon be rectified by the team at the venue

Went for afternoon tea. Service was appalling. Waited 1 hour 30 minutes for basic food. Plates came dirty, had to ask for them to be replaced twice. Mulled wine also got forgotten twice. Waste of money, would not recommend or return.

My wife and I came to The Quicken Tree on Friday and it was nothing short of superb. Service and food were excellent, Zack was very attentive for our whole meal and therefore deserves a special mention. We will definitely be returning. Thank you.

Had several lovely meals and amazing afternoon teas there but have to say most recent arvo tea was very poor. Supposed to be a 'festive afternoon tea' but was cheap and not very cheerful. Three tiny little finger sandwiches each (straight from the fridge), pretty decent scones but not enough jam & cream & as for the pastries? They used to do proper pattisserie style, we got a bakery mince pie, some type of 'trifle cake' similar to the one currently on sale in Tescos frozen section & a Christmas pudding cake made from what tasted like Aldi cocopops & had been made by a toddler. Oh, and one rather stale gingerbread bauble biscuit. No one asked if everything was ok, we had to ask for extra cutlery and no one seemed to care if we were there or not. Such a shame as this used to be a lovely place to go, especially with the talking tree bridge & the grounds. Grandchildren loved it but not on our list for future treats. Wonder if it's under new management?

I've Tried all Meal times at the Quicken Tree. Excellent Food,Service and Hygiene and to a Very High Standard.

Such a refreshing place to visit, nothing else like it, who ever is in charge of this place deserves lots of credit. Food lovely. I'm not even going to describe what the place is like in side, just visit for yourself and find out. I'm going to be coming back here lots and lots. Can not find any faults at all.

What a great place atmosphere food drink fabulous

Really fancied an Afternoon Tea & my fiancé booked this one for my birthday. The place is quite big which caters for various events including weddings etc. Huge grounds so there are lots of things to do with the kids, accommodation on site too. Nicely decorated with unique style. Staff are friendly & helpful, kept making sure we didn't want another pot of tea. Afternoon Tea was lovely as you can see in the pictures, other people were there were admiring the picnic bench with the sandwiches & cakes on. Nice choice of sandwiches too. We had a pleasant time.

Went for afternoon tea and breakfast. The tea was exceptional with a good selection of sandwiches and cakes, all very fresh and good flavour. Breakfast was also a good meal with tasty products. Would and have returned.

60th birthday meal . What can I say loads of parking, beautiful room private dining area table for 17 so had been asked to pre order this is the way to go ! We booked a party of guests for afternoon tea to celebrate a 70th birthday. The staff were brilliant and very accommodating and the food was absolutely wonderful, very good value for money. Can highly recommend and will definitely be eating there again 😁

A friend recommended going here for breakfast. Waiting ages to get sat at a table even though it wasn’t busy. Waited ages to get served, almost left. Breakfast is buy one get one free. Really low quality produce. Staff were disagreeing in front of staff. My daughter couldn’t finish her pancakes even though they were covered in nutella. Pancakes were cold and chewy. Cream was artificial from aerosol can. Cappuccino was watery and weak. From a machine. No butter with toast. There was a mistake on till when my husband was paying. Won’t return. Avoid if you want a decent breakfast.

Josh was absolutely fantastic ,there was not a foot put wrong. Very welcoming and really knew his stuff!! He made the experience better with his witty humour and professionalism.

We called on spec and the staff found us a lovely table. It was very busy so it took a while for the food to arrive but the service was excellent from very friendly staff and the food was really tasty

The worst cappuccino ever had sent back as luke warm not a full cup no froth mentioned to waitress said its the machine.. poached egg on toast again like warm toast very hard first visit wouldn't go again

Oh dear, what a shame. Lovely setting, good menu choices but untrained waiting staff. Started clearing dishes whilst still eating starter, brought mains while starter dishes not cleared. Had to ask for cutlery so waiting staff dumped about 9 knives and forks for 5 people. Chicken supreme dry, left most of it but on the whole food okay, but, not for the price. Will not recommend .

Great venue, great food, there were 8 adults and 5 kids, all the food came out on time, piping hot with no errors and was beautiful. Impeccable hospitality, first visit and definitely not the last. Really great visit. Just superb and cannot fault it! Brilliant highly recommended

Today we visited The QuickenTree and I must say, it was the worst experience. We arrived for a birthday breakfasts and waited at the bar for ages to be served for drinks. We eventually sat down for our breakfast. When the food arrived the egg was completely tasteless and we were told no amendments could be made, not even to just take the egg off of a plate of someone who doesn’t like egg. When the tea arrived the teapot still had the label from the charity it shop it was brought from and could tell it had not been washed before being served to us. When questioned, the owners were unbelievably rude and made sarcastic comments towards us. Buying from a charity shop was not the issue, but a dirty teapot being served to us was. This was accompanied by rude staff and completely tasteless food. I would rather not give my custom to impertinent owners and will not be returning.

Beautiful pub with lots of character. Great atmosphere and service. We had a young man look after our table and he was polite and helpful throughout. We was warmly welcomed and wished well on leaving. Food was beautifully cooked and well worth the price. Shout out the chefs!!! Second visit, it's abit far out for us to travel but it's become one of our favourite dining out experiences so definitely worth it. Overall it's a 5 🌟 experience. Thankyou.

Went to heart of England car show , excellent evening

This place has a very quirky atmosphere! You never know what's round the corner, a gorilla or a space ship or a piece of modern art..! Both indoor and out door seating, including undercover. The staff were friendly and the chicken burger tasty.

Food was cold but was sorted at the end got a free cuppa so I'm happy with that.

Had a lovely catch up with an old friend, Food was tasty and hot and we were looked after really well by the new manager Chris. Professional service and a nice atmosphere. I usually go here for breakfast but dinner was just as nice. I would recommend the seabass it was delicious 😋

After an initial mix up over the booking my wife and I had afternoon tea at The Quickentree today for my wife's birthday. Chris was very accommodating and professional and (I think) Emily was very helpful too. The sandwiches and cakes were lovely and fresh and the scones tasted like they were straight from the oven. We would have like more sandwiches and less cake, but hey, you can't please everyone all the time. Overall a very pleasant afternoon in lovely surroundings. Thank you.

Good evening watching football lots of room inside ,and out. Food looked good but didn't try it. So can't really comment on that one. Looks like a great place for wedding venues, party's etc.. prices wasn't too bad double Vodka and coke and 4 sambukas was 19 quid. Would go again for sure. Next time I'll try the food.

7th visit for breakfast, a good vibe and much busier than usual. Breakfast was lovely apart from asking for the black pudding to be changed for something else. Waitress informed us they could not do this, they have all the other times I mentioned, but it was not possible this time apparently. We told the waitress we did not want the black pudding but unfortunately it came out on the plate. A waste of food. Asked for another plate so we could remove the item. Had to ask for sauce etc. No one came and asked if everything was OK. Not great customer service. Enjoyable breakfast overall.

Wow….what can I say from the start a very warm welcome to the fabulous service and outstanding food and atmosphere, there was a live singer on that we all enjoyed and nothing was to much trouble, we will definitely be back the best food and atmosphere topped with 1st class service , the best meal out in a very long time, if you haven’t been try it you will not be disappointed. Well done all involved 👏👏👏

Met there for breakfast with friends, essential to call ahead and book a table, the outdoor space is good too, good for family with kids too.

With quirky steam punk artefacts everywhere and a lovely relaxed atmosphere ...we enjoyed a delicious meal. We've been telling everyone about it!

Afternoon tea was good but hair in the double cream was poorly dealt with (it wasn't dealt with !) and they were understaffed so staff could not be attentive. Music was too loud (and was turned up), overall what could have been great was a little disappointing

A delightful trip to the countryside and along with it the food the wine and the atmosphere is definitely something to go try with private dining pods, hearty meals, the restaurant bars all in all a great place to experience and explore with a variety of events throughout the year too

Went today for a 40th Birthday celebration I have never been before it was amazing! The decor the outside bouncy castle for the kids wacky wagon we spent six hours there! Will defo be going back to this little gem. Had the buffet it was lovely.

Beautiful & quirky establishment! The grounds are gorgeous and the restaurant decor was incredible. It was such a nice walk through seeing all the art work and the cave bar! Breakfast is lovely. Portions are great and brilliant quality for price. The staff were really attentive and really took care of us. Very clean also! Highly recommend!!

brilliant 1st time goin der defo goin bk up there this bank holiday weekend

Food was 5 *, lots of choice generous portions and well cooked and presented..sadly the experience, a birthday meal for partners daughter and her partner was marred by mediocre service from the start. We had book and arrived shortly before the booked time, we stood at the restaurant entrance where several staff appeared to be looking at arrivals and bookings, we were ignored for a few minutes then they said the table was not ready and walked off, we were not offered a place to wait or drinks while we waited, in the end I ordered from the bar and asked they be added to our table. We had menus on our table and chose our food abd ordered starters and mains, my partners and my starters arrived but not the other two, I tried to attach attention of staff to no avai abd eventually walked down to the desk where 3 staff were talking and eventually I interrupted them to ask about our deserts, they seemed to think we had not ordered any more so I called over to the guy who took our order and he checked on tablet and confirmed the order, I was told they would sort it, so returned to our table, some time later they arrived with an apology but no explanation, to cut along story short tye same thing happen over the desert order we were given menus after we asked for them, but no one came to take orders till chased and again with the bill. It was a busy Saturday night and several other events were taking place on the site, hopefully this was an isolated incident, It took the shine off what was anticipated would be a lovely experience. There were other things that could have been better, like a set of clean cutlery after the starters , a finger bowl for the fish platter, condiments on the table, and sorting out the rocky table before we sat down.. Pull your socks up guys...

Friendly staff and good fish and chips!

Recently visited for the first time and loved the venue. Great place to meet friends and family and kid and dog friendly. I wasn't overly impressed by the breakfast. I ordered the American style pancakes and bacon and they were the thinnest pancakes I've ever seen. The cappuccino was also very small for the price. I will go back and try the lunch menu.

Service to order was slow but once ordered quick. The steak was chewy.apart from that good

So no photos...why? You need to see it for yourself. The most quirky place I have been to!! I think to truly absorb the entire thing I would need a private day all to ourselves when it was closed . Brilliant. Everywhere I looked there was something else quite out there fascinating!!! Service knocked down purely for how busy it was,I.e more staff, but the staff were great!!! A must go . Tapas sharer top notch.

The establishment offers a pleasant ambiance and exceptional breakfast options. However, the service provided fell short of expectations. It is understandable that minor discrepancies may occur, but I believe customers should receive what they pay for. I ordered the "fuller breakfast," which clearly states "hashbrowns" in plural form. Upon inquiring about this with the server, I was informed that the dish only comes with one hashbrown. If this is the case, it would be advisable to update the menu to avoid confusion. Although the server kindly brought me an additional hashbrown, it was accompanied by the remark that the chef had made an exception. This implies that customers are not entitled to what is stated on the menu. Furthermore, the service lacked attentiveness. Our plates were removed without any inquiry about our satisfaction with the meal. We were not offered any additional items or asked if we would like to see the bill. In summary, while the food was of high quality, the service left room for improvement.

Went for afternoon tea from a gift of a Groupon coupon. The tea was fine.
