I hosted my son’s first birthday and baptism celebration at the Unicorn Inn and we had a lovely day. The staff could not have been any more helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them. We had food provided by the pub, and the food was fresh, with a large choice of food. (I was worried I hadn’t paid for enough people but there was more than enough food despite over 10 more guests than I’d anticipated) The pub and beer garden were nice and clean, and the pub has such a lovely cozy feel to it. I also hired the Unicorn inn back in 2009 for my other child’s baptism celebration and we weren’t that impressed with the food and experience, the new management and staff have definitely turned the pub around, it’s a lovely place to visit now! Gemma was amazing too, she was so friendly! We will definitely be returning for food soon. Thanks again guys, you helped make the day super special for us 🩷

The service was excellent, but why do you put a side of salad on the same plate and next to Hot Food? It was a bit of a let down. The staff are really friendly end efficient. My Lasagna was lovely spoilt by salad put next to it as previously noted. I would have preferred the salad in a separate dish. My friend had the Singapore Noodles, she said they were very good. She opted not to have the chillies on top and the Chicken in Batter she had with it was delicious. I will certainly visit again and if side salad is included I will ask for it on a separate dish, also maybe best to visit in the summer as it wasn’t very warm in the restaurant. There is a large car park, so parking isn’t a problem.

Immaculate and quick Sunday dinner, extremely grateful for how quickly the chefs and waitresses brought out our food since we had a little one. Great laughs with our server, Hannah, who didn’t fail to impress us when we kept bombarding her for napkins for the little one. Beautifully cared for a few times by Neve/Neeve… not sure of the correct spelling! Incredible work ethic from everyone too, working extremely hard. Keep up the great work! Will definitely come again, especially for drinks with a few friends later on in the week!

The unicorn inn has had a lovely renovation with such a welcoming feel. We had a 2 for £18 offer with good selection of food that was lush. Service and staff was friendly and welcoming, thankyou to the 3 girls especially Cat! We will definitely be visiting again soon! Highly recommended for family’s.

Such a lovely pub, first time coming and we are already thinking about our next visit and bringing the men. Stunning pub, lovely staff, very warm and welcoming. Great menu too, food and drink choices epic. Lovely touch with all the fairy lights and lighting outside, bet it’s lovely in the beer garden in the summer. We can’t wait to come back. And come back for a few wines no doubt.

The food was great and the service was excellent from staff who were friendly and not overbearing. The only detail that stopped me from giving 5 stars for the food is that there was no crackling with my roast pork Sunday lunch. The Sunday lunches have always been excellent here but the recent refurbishment lifts the experience above what it used to be

Unfortunately really poor service. Went here for a family meal, booked ahead and sat in the bar as we had dogs with us. When we arrived they thought we had booked in the restaurant so shoved us onto a high up table which wasnt really big enough for 6. We did all order separately as wanted to pay separately (but for the same table of course which they knew) however all of our orders came separately. None of our family ate together with a a couple of us finishing food before our other family even had theirs. All orders came out at different times which was awkward eating when others hadn't had theirs. The last order waited over an hour and a half. There was no one to tell because when the food did come out no one came to ask how it was or if we needed anything else between this. The last order to come out was missing items and we had to go to the bar to ask. The food was fine and the menu was good but service massively let this place down. Even when we ordered deserts they came separately and waits between these and didn't give spoons when bringing it out. Lovely pub and food, just a shame about the service.

Spectacular Sunday Roast today (4th Feb 24) it is great to see this place back open, the staff were so welcoming, really tasty food, roast potatoes done to perfection, we can’t wait to go back, book to avoid disappointment, my compliments and thanks to the chef today!

We came for lunch for my granddaugher's 10th birthday. This was the first time I have been there since the re-opening. It has a very nice atmosphere and looks beautiful We noticed immediately that the service was efficient and friendly. The two servers who helped us did everything with a smile and were faultless. The food was very good indeed and very reasonably priced. We all enjoyed our meals and will definitely be back. This is a lovely place for drinks or a meal and I would highly recommend it.

Sympathetically renovated with the feel of an old inn, but with the added bonus of all the modern touches, so nice to see this place up and running once again. The £18 for 2 mains is a fantastic offer, plenty of choices too. I think Stacy served us, she was a lovely young woman who is a credit to this company. Cannot wait to return with more family. The history behind this Inn is fascinating, I think they even have their own resident spook.

A lovely, friendly local pub. Our food was cooked to perfection & the really helpful staff couldn’t do enough for us. It has a lovely, welcoming atmosphere & after visiting several times already, it’s becoming one of our favourites.

Staff were lovely but food very disappointing. We had Sunday lunch and the nut roast was clearly from a packet and an extremely small portion. Also only two very small roast potatoes and the carrots were very underdone. My friend also said the beef was dry and this was after waiting 45 mins for the food and chasing it up. Such a shame as the interior has had a lovely renovation and it has so much potential. New kitchen staff needed!

I Came here just before Christmas with a large group of friends. The food and alcohol selection are great, prices are excellent and all the staff are very friendly. We had our food order taken at the table, which I always love. Fantastic service and really quick serving time. Hannah came over few times to check if we needed anything. We Will definitely be going back again for foods and drinks especially in the summer as there outdoor seating and park area looks amazing, thank you guys for a wonderful experience.

Visited before Christmas for lunch and to be honest it was nice. Visited 2nd Jan 2024 and completely different experience. I was with my wife and two grandchildren and we had sandwiches and chips and the kids had the kids meal deal. We were served by Catherine. The food arrived. The chips and fishfingers looked like they had been cooked in months old cooking oil and were a tired brown. I also had brown lettuce to go with it. Catherine didn't ask whether we needed condiments and had to ask her for tomato ketchup. She disappeared for quite a while and I had to ask another member of staff to chase it up. She never came back to the table to ask if everything was OK with the meal. When I did speak to her about the quality of the food she said she'd pass it on to the "chef".... guess what no response. I don't expect a la carte standard for what we paid but good service and food isn't too much to ask. Won't be returning any time soon.

Service at the Unicorn inn is outstanding and the food is delicious. There is plenty to choose from on the menu and a lot of variety for drinks. I can highly recommend going there as you will not be disappointed.
