Fabulous healthy food - well cooked and top quality! This is a compulsory stop for us whenever we are in the lakes. Keep up the good work.

Visited with a friend and it is very very nice - the information on the boards is interesting (seasonal info, what is growing, when to sow things etc) and the produce is local and seasonal. We had a smoked cheddar sandwich and the most genuinely delicious smoky tomato and pepper soup. If you’re nearby, don’t hesitate and visit!

Stopped off here whilst out road cycling. Amazing views from all aspects, nice cosy atmosphere on a cold day with the fire going and lovely food.

Recommended to us by friends, thought we would try this out for breakfast. Lovely spot and the space upstairs had a fire flickering in the log burning stove, fairy lights strung from the beams, happy to allow dogs and friendly helpful staff. Choice of soup, sandwich, salad or special, we chose two of these and shared them - delicious. So good to find a veggie/vegan café that is adventurous; cakes were excellent too. We will return 👍

Since it reopened after the closure it’s gone very expensive and is no longer (imo) value for money. Reduced opening hours, Thursday to Saturday.

Incredible taster menu. We were lucky enough to be the only diners so had the chef and sommelier to ourselves for 3 and a half hours! Also did the wine pairing which was fantastic.

A group of us went from work, for a quick lunchtime catch-up. Someone had recommended this restaurant to us, and we only work around the corner (but there is ample parking in Ford Park, if you needed to drive). I wasn't sure what it would be like for a working lunch, because it has a reputation of being a fancy place for evening meals and set menus; I still think it is the latter (and will be going back one evening to check!), but thankfully my fears for lunchtime were unfounded because the food was banging, the service was quick and the cost was more than reasonable. Four of us ate from the lunchtime menu; two had flatbreads which were huge and tasted great, and the other two of us had bagels. Mine was packed with steak and caramelised onions, and tasted fantastic. Three soft drinks and a non-alcoholic beer and the total cost was £60. To be honest everything others were having at our table and at our neighbours looked fantastic. I'll have to go back again and try something different.
