Best chow mein I've had for a long time. Staff very friendly. Good value.

Ordered 2 x Chicken Chow mein, there was next to no chicken in either dish, basically just noodles.

Won’t go back after tonight!! Had some average food before, tonight was the final visit. Ordered mushroom curry, sweet and sour chicken Hong Kong style, crispy chilli beef, bbq pork, chips, egg fried rice, prawn crackers, satay sauce. Curry was like water, chilli beef was so crispy it was pretty much burnt, sweet and sour chicken had hardly any chicken…lots of pineapple, bbq pork was dry and chewy, chips were dry, egg fried rice was rice with hardly any egg and nothing else. I can make better myself. Prawn crackers and satay sauce were the only saving grace. Used to be good, it’s gone downhill rapidly over the last 12 months. Maybe they’ve already checked out for their summer holiday.

Sorry, we had 4 different meals and didn’t enjoy any of them. Far too bland for our liking.

I found the egg fried rice had hardly any egg and didn't taste nice.

I always have sweet and sour chicken Hong Kong style, love it. We get rice and chicken chow mein along with a random dish to see what it's like. It's generally good. Typical Chinese takeaway.

We always go to Uncle Wong's for our weekly treat of fish, chips and curry sauce. I think the prices are quite reasonable, never had any complaints with our food and lovely helpful staff. Would not go anywhere else.

🤮inedible. Not even worth 1 star. Greasy noodles made me feel sick.Rice looked like it had been re-heated multiple times..Just horrible

Ordered fish and chips, after getting home and unpacking the food we had to chuck it away. We've never smelt fish quite like that, it's like it had been sat under the heat lamp for days

Always good food and decent prices

Ordered sweet and sour chicken and egg fried rice which was promptly dished up and served, but sweet and sour it was not - the sauce was so watered down it bordered on tasteless and the rice tasted like it had been cooked the week before... I wasn't expecting gourmet food, but certainly not worth £10.80

I bought a Singapore Chow Mein this evening, charged to be fair, but the Chow mein is horrible tasty, too salty, I never eat chow mein horribly tasty like this, first time made an order from them, never go back, I wouldn’t recommend this takeaway, probably opening many year, but food and service are still not good enough.

I had to add a review for this. Their Singapore fried rice was excellent and I think the way they provide sweet and sour chicken as sliced chicken keeps it fresh. Excellent food and I will be a repeat customer

SO EXPENSIVE ... Pork balls were over cooked making the pork inside hard. Rice was stodgy and not much beef in the chow mein. Most Chinese give free prawn crackers but not this one. £22.50 on a really poor tasteless meal. Been a few times but can't justify that price for less than average food. Won't be back. Yuck

Iv been buying food from here for 17 years. Excellent food, really nice and helpful staff. Its my favourite chippy of any iv ever tried, the best curry sauce around and the Chinese dishes are great too, prices are very reasonable. Great place.

Excellent service. Because I am disabled they brought my food out to my car for me when it was ready so I didn't have to stand around in pain and the food is always excellent

Just another Chinese takeaway that advertise that they take all major credit cards. They don’t they tell you after you give them your order that it’s cash only. Obviously so it doesn’t go through their books to give them a cash injection. Don’t waste your time here.

This is a very hit and miss Chinese restaurant. Very friendly staff but they must have a different chef with very different cooking skills on some days. One day the food could be great, chicken perfectly cooked with crispy batter, but other days fatty chicken with soggy batter, or another example, the beef chow mein does not have a consistent flavour, sometimes it tastes really good and other days tasteless and salty. The advantage is that there isn't many other Chinese restaurants in the local area and the price is not expensive. Apart from the unreliable food, the service and wait time is great.

Usually great, have had a couple of meals where chicken was a bit firm.

Was ok, not the best but not the worst

Where I go to treat myself to some comfort food. Moved recently from Bristol but this Hong Kong style chinese takeaway is the best I had in the UK and so lucky I live close to one now. Food is tasty, genourous, hot and never really waiting long if I order a few dishes. Very friendly people at the counter 10/10

Not very good my chips were cold my chips was served up and put in the hot plate. Waited for rest my order for extra 5 minutes .so I don't know when my was served up.

Always immaculately clean and the food is cooked fresh and not dripping in grease. Staff are nice too.

Decided to check this place out with some friends on Sat after a disappointing experience at Dragon Delicacies. It has to be the best Chinese takeouts I've had, with massive portions! I've never seen so much prawn toast in one box! Really great food would absolutely come back. I've adopted a new Uncle.

Awful, plate full of carbs hardly any meat or vegetables, and what little meat there was it was tuff as a leather boot. Won’t order again.

Clean, friendly and very fast service. Especially considering that it's not a fast food takeaway but cooked to order. As for our food order... Great, they let me swap out king prawns for extra meat in my special chow-mein with no fuss whatsoever. Price point is good value too.

Have always had a good meal here, ordered from here for years now! A little pricey hence 4 stars not 5. Love how the cut the chicken (sweet&sour) rather than how other chinese places do - greasy balls - lol!

First visit. All ok except chicken balls were not balls just sliced battered chicken and missing the sweet and sour sauce?! Very disappointed as reviews gave high hopes.

Had a nice takeaway. The peppercorn salted ribs are a must! And of course the crispy chilli beef!

I have been coming here since it opened in around 1997. It is always very clean, staff friendly and great quality food.

Heard great reviews online so went to try out but found it very disappointing. Staff very friendly but duck (duck pancakes) was incredibly dry. So much so it felt sharp in your mouth when eating it. Also ordered satay chicken but had more green pepper than chicken. Chow mein was ok. Sweet and sour chicken dry again. Food generally not great. Almost felt like it was perhaps reheated from day before. Perhaps why so dry. Had high hopes but sadly won't be ordering from here again .

Good Chinese food at reasonable prices with a friendly family run business. Simple as that.

Never had a bad meal from this place. It's tasty, always hot and a great choice. A few vegetarian dishes too. You may have to wait for food but it's worth it.
