Best Sunday carvery for miles around i book every week.

Fabulous Sunday carvery. 3 choices of meats, so much choice of veg, and I always love a carvery with mushy peas. My hubby had the beef, my son the ham, and I had the turkey. All were really nicely cooked. Excellent value for money, would go again as I don't think I could cook Sunday lunch for the same price!

We were advised to pre book via phone if we wanted a seat during the Sunday rush ( glad we did ) On arrival there is ample parking in front and beside the main building. There is good disabled access with disabled toilets as you enter the building. During the Sunday rush there is normally a queue at the bar for drinks and to pick up tickets for the carvery. We were quickly seated and then shown through to the carvery.. The food quality and selection were of high standard. A good range of meats and vegetables were available, freshly cooked and regularly topped up.. We enjoyed our meal in the relaxed and friendly atmosphere... the staff were all friendly and welcoming.. Prices were very reasonable for the quality and quantity of food. Would highly recommended and will definitely be returning ourselves in the near future..

The staff are so so kind and always go above and beyond to say a kind word to my son who goes in for his mash and carrots . I suppose they don’t have to do what they do for him with the baby bowl but they do and he enjoys coming because they no his order and always say hello . Excellent food at a very reasonable price. Best home made chips. Only downside we had on our visit was an old couple thinking it was fine to make long calls on loudspeaker, the staff didn't stop them.

You need to be starving before you arrive. The food is amazing!!! This place is fantastic. The portions are huge. Steak Pie is filled with meat. The burger is really good. Kids meals are nice and simple and even good for fussy eaters. Worth a visit.

Wow, if you don't try this place for your Sunday dinner you will be missing out. 5 stars is not enough for Uncle Tom's. The food is delicious and plenty of it. Well worth a visit but ring first to make sure they have a vacancy.

Went on a Friday and had the fish and chips, absolutely fab, batter nice and crispy, chips crispy and not greasy, Monday to Friday you can have food from the menu or a carvery, Saturday is menu only and Sunday is carvery only, you will need to pre book a table if you want a carvery on the Sunday, as it is very popular.

An easily solid 10/10 for this place, absolutely gorgeous food! Proper quality handmade food. With big portions too for a great price. The service is fantastic here all staff have smiles on their faces and have a good natter to you. Feels welcoming and they talk to the local customers by their first names too and ask how their days going. Nothing bad to say about the place

Was a amazing meal cooked to perfection the staff well l.... by god they was ever so helpful and polite I couldn’t ask for a better experience. This was my first time coming and I will deffo be going back, thinking about booking Christmas dinner here aswel as ide love to share this Experience with my family at Xmas as I no they will love it as much as I did it’s good for the money not expensive but good quality food hardly waited at all all in all was lovely and an Amazing experience thanks to the staff and the skill of the chef so Thankyou ever so much me and my friend loved it 😄

Went for Sunday lunch yesterday. Read good reviews so gave it a try. The staff were very helpful and friendly but unfortunately the food was very average. I had the beef but was quite dry and tough. I ate about a quarter of it and took rest home for my dog. Had the standard plate for £9.95 so hoped for a better meal. Selection of vegetables was ok but peas and carrots were overcooked. Not easy to keep a business going in these times due to costs. I can't imagine they can do the meal cheaper due to overheads and cost of living nowadays but not what I expected.

As always, super food, super service and super atmosphere.

I have been a fan of Toby Carvery for a long time, however, I have to say the Carvery at Uncle Tom's is actually superior to them, it had taken me a long time to find this place but we have eaten there every Sunday since we found it and booked in again for next week, couldn't recommend any better for good quality reasonably priced food with welcoming staff ample parking great drink selection

We went early dinner time (midday) on a Sunday for a carvery and the place was already busy. People were queueing to get in as it only opens at 12pm. We ordered the carvery and the food was fantastic. Everything was fresh and tasted delicious, especially the gravy. The meat was perfectly cooked and the potatoes were crispy, like they should be. Great place - would go again

Cheap as chips and really nice food. My partner had a Carvery and she said the beef was some of the best she had ever had. I had a small fish and chips and it was just enough. I'm not a massive eater so was perfect.

Quality food and reasonable prices

Great carvery best beef had in a long time great service

In short, a very, very good quality, no nonsense and satisfying carvery offering, probably one of the best I have ever enjoyed. The roast beef was beautifully slow cooked, had a beautiful flavour and was very succulent. The plentiful range of vegetables, whilst offered in a canteen style display, were still delightfully well cooked, the cauliflower, fine beans, carrots and boiled new potatoes still had a firmly nutty texture and the mashed potatoes were very smooth and creamy. Our coeliac family member received a very generous serving of gluten free gravy I was very pleasantly surprised (& equally impressed) by a prompt, genuine offer of help from the waiting staff, to help me acquire & take my plated meal back to the table, I am partially mobile as I have just had both right and left knee joint replacements within six months of each other and am still on crutches, whilst waiting a right ankle replacement. The reception bar staff were very accommodating on our arrival when our party of four arrived a little late in the afternoon shift. The carving serving staff were amusing and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The whole team all were happy and client orientated. Four generous carvery meals with four cold drinks….£10.00 / head. Incredible value.

4 of us popped in here on the off chance on our way to Newark and had lunch. Lovely place very clean and spacious. Staff were very welcoming too. Food was home made really tasty. 3 of us had steak pie chips and peas and 1 had chicken fajita wrap which came with chips and salad. Great value for money and portions were generous. Would definitely go again if we are heading that way.

3 of us had carvery on had the steak sandwich the carvery was nice. i would say that there was nothing wrong with the carvery on its own merrit with exception of the stuffing which was like sawdust. BUT comparing it to numerous others in the area i found it wasnt as good as others, with less variety and the cuts of meats wernt as tender as others. the steak sandwich comes with chips and they were BURNT. when we said they are burnt the man said most like the dark golden chips 🙈. would i go again? yes i probably would if i was near by just for ease. as the place was clean and tidy and the carvery was ok. but i wouldnt drive past other carverys to go to that one

Honestly you can’t get better for less, or even quite a lot more. There is absolutely nothing negative to say. Staff are lovely and friendly, service is perfect. The food is so good you would pay double for it and I have paid double for a lot worse believe me. You cannot and will not get better in doncaster anywhere
