Hadn't been to an Uncle Sam's for years. It was good way-back and it was great today. Chilli burger, garlic burger, bacon cheeseburger, spicy beanburger - fantastic stuff. Reasonably priced too. Can't wait to come again

Went and picked up from this place. Never been here before and absolutely amazed how good these burgers are from here. By far the best tasting burger I’ve ever eaten.20 times better than Burger King.

Terrible. Loved uncle sams for the last 20 years but the worst 2 times have been at Eastbourne. The bun was stale and not the normal bun. Half the contents were missing ,, discusting

The best way to cook a burger is by flame and having to drive 5 miles to get our favourite burger makes it a treat. More expensive than Mc D or B.King but also cheaper than a restaurant. Cooked to order so always fresh

Nice staff. Fresh salad in burger but the buns are v cheap and dry. The bean burger was the lowest quality and the place could do with a spruce. The chips were fresh and nice.

Best burgers in Eastbourne, eat here most days at work

FIRST AND LAST TIME I'M EATING HERE! If I could give a zero I would. Ordered food on just Eat, as I usually do, when the Food arrived, It was terrible! I had missing items and all the burgers were stone cold, and when I say cold I mean as if they had been waiting for hours before being delivered. (and It only takes 11 mins to arrive as I was watching on the just eat app) The chips was as cold as the burger and even found Some UNCOOKED, white and raw! #See photos. Nothing was edible. I phones the restaurant and they just blamed the driver and then said that I couldn't have uncooked chips but then said that he wasn't saying I was lying and that maybe one jumped out the fryer! I was shocked. He offered to replace my food if I went and picked it up but I am unable to drive so it wasn't good for me. I just want my money back as i can't eat it and just won't be eating there again. Not just because of the food but because of the service handling the situation.

If it was just the fact the burgers were cold I probably would have given 3 stars as a bog standard takeaway. But food way overpriced for the low quality, double cheeseburger only had a single patty. All patties in our burgers cold and dry and even if we're hot very dry. The patties so thin I don't think it's possible to deliver a hot burger. Large portion of onion rings consists of 5 cheap generic frozen onion rings. Pepsi was horrible so obviously not pepsi. £1.52 service charge on top of delivery made 3 meal deals and 5 onion rings just over £34 . It's a shame as I like to support local takeaways.

Gave it 1 star as was unable to give none.. inedible food, burger cold no red onion chips like bullets, absolute waste of money. Ordered a cookie which wasn't delivered and told to get a refund from just eat.. if you want a decent burger then don't bother going to uncle sams, rip off ,all you get is cold overcooked slop

I like their burgers BUT... The last time I ordered from them my food turned up lukewarm, if not cool. Now I ordered on a 30-50 minute to delivery and 1hr and 50 mins later it is still being prepared. According to my live update it was being prepared a minute after I placed the order. Thus I can not get a refund and order somewhere faster! Very disappointed.

I had my first Uncle Sam's burger in the late 70s in Brighton, all I can say No other burger comes close in any way In my opinion , my long time favourite is the double blue cheese burger and fries !!! NICE . Shame they weren't the ones to go global, lol

Dry bun, asked for Double Bacon Cheeseburger plain, guy behind the counter confirmed. Still covered in lettuce.. both burgers overcooked or reheated with not an ounce of moisture. Drink served in a Coca Cola branded cup which most definitely wasn't coke. Already had a bad experience previous month but figured we'd check again to see if it was a one off - it wasn't. They need to taste a burger from Fat Moe's in Eastbourne - that's how a burger should taste.

The kids meals are expensive for what they give you. Poor really. The burger was pathetic hardly any actual burger meat at all just sauce and bun the nuggets were over cooked and hard. Chips OK. This place used to be amazing but this is my first visit in 2 years and I won't be hurrying back any time soon. No longer take card payments either. Which is strange in the current climate.

Ordered a delivery at 6.15 pm for a delivery at 7.45pm. At 8pm we get a delivery of someone else order, told to speak to uncle Sam's.. very rude person no Customer service skills at all, tells us not even cooked yours yet, 9.10 still no food call back told to eat what came!!! Then hung up. WOULDN'T RECOMMEND EVER SO RUDE NEEDS CUSTOMER SERVICE TRAINING.

I ordered 2 burgers from the eastboune shop on Friday I was told it would be ready for me to pick up in 10 minutes want to pick up the meal was kept waiting for another 20. When we got the meal home. The burger buns was ice cold like they been kept in a freezer this made the burger completely cold .the burger buns was not even walmed up this was so disappointing as we just threw then In The bin .I never let a review This is my first. It was such a disappointment. I know it was Friday evening but I would have much preferred to put 13.90 in a charity shop box. SUCH A DISAPPOINTING EXPERIENCE

This was the second time we'd tried Uncle Sam's in Eastbourne. The first time it wasn't great but we put it down to a one off however our second visit was just as poor. We've moved down from Brighton where Uncle Sam's restaurants are a plenty and the food is consistent in each one, all ingredients are the same, buns, chips, etc. The buns used in the Eastbourne restaurant smelt damp and are not the same as the ones used in the Brighton ones. The chips were not great quality and again different from the ones we are used to from the Brighton restaurants. The food didn't taste great and 3 of us threw over half of ours meals in the bin after a few bites. Both times we've eaten here we've all had upset tummies afterwards too. I've given the restaurant 2 stars, 1 for customer service and 1 for cleanliness. It's such a shame because we love an Uncle Sam's but we'll have to stick with having them when we're visiting Brighton in future.

I’m an American, and I know what a good burger entails: fresh ingredients, high quality meat, made with love. This place is not that. I ordered their “western burger” and was shocked to see how thin the patty was, frozen onion rings and the burger overall was bland bland bland. Blander than bland, Gordon Ramsay would say lol. They have obviously made cut backs for the sake of cost and it shows. To the owners reading this, please check out the way in-n-out, shake shake and other major burger joints do burgers before you can call yourself an American style burger chain.

Chips were really fresh but the burger was dry

Use to come every day almost! Good selection of food and the milkshakes are bloody amazing! I'm a chicken guy and lately all fried food taste very odd, could be the oil. I have come back after a week and still the same, please sort the issue out I really liked your food before this.

The chilli burger was nice and spicy the chips were really good only one criticism could do with more crunchy lettuce and onion.

I used to use the original joint in Brighton but this branch is just as good. Go for the double chilli burger - fresh, spicy and delicious.

Have been here before and these guys serve top burgers. But tonight was a little bit of a let down, asked specifically for no ketchup but got ketchup, my partner started eating as we drove away and to say the burgers were luke warm is being kind. Shame as the burgers are really really good. Seemed more of a staffing issue tonight as previously it's been good. Hopefully next time it will be better as not many really great burger places around.

I have been using the Uncle Sams burger chain since the 1980s. They are a Brighton based British Burger Chain and their burgers are at the higher end of the fast food market in terms or quality. I always opt for the Hawaiian which I double up and have everything.

I've been to Uncle Sam's only a handful of times if I'm in the area, and I always get a very good service with a laugh n also I leave the place with my food still warm enough to eat in comfort so I recommend this place to anyone etc
