Lovely food, freshly made, polite staff. Must recommend.

Friendly staff and great value. Staff are also always ensuring stock is available in the fridges and keeping the place tidy. Chicken katsu curry was also delicious. Will definitely visit again.

Ordered Katsu chicken. The "meat" was grey, slimey and disgusting.

Huge range of delicious food! Only been once for the first time today, and had the sweet 'n sour chicken with rice which was absolutely DIVINE. My boyfriend got the chicken teriyaki which was also very very nice indeed. The sizes are absolutely perfect and the regular is a very generous portion, with great balance between components in the meals Staff are friendly and there is a huge range of food available, available to be made at the counter or you can pick from the ready-made selection from the fridge. There is also a good range of refreshments wirh traditional Japanese beverages available. Can't wait to try out the many other meals they have to offer, 10/10!

I hate the fact I'm putting one star as I absolutely love kokoro I've been getting food from here for ages but I got my food delivered and was a bit disgusted as I got the katsu chicken curry, now I know it's expected to see a small amount of pink in the chicken but it was literally bright pink and I mean bright it looked like the chicken was just left raw and they slapped breading on it.

Place needs investigating. Multiple reports of food poisoning. Avoid.

It’s so lovely here and the only reasonable place for sushi in town. I’m half Korean and will say all the Korean dishes are authentic too.

The quality of the sushi keeps getting worse. I’m not sure if it has to do with the Eastbourne brunch or what but is definitely gone down massively. Shame, as we used to love it.

Haven't tried the food yet, this is based strictly off of the customer service (and how great everything smells). I tried to order delivery, but because I don't have a UK phone # I was unable to get the certification code to use the service. I ran down there and they were cleaning everything up and had closed for the evening. I asked what they could still offer to take home, and the gentleman working there took my girlfriends order in it's entirety and made everything up in the back for me. I'm not advocating for the next person to arrive after closing, but this gesture made for an overjoyed girlfriend- and in turn, boyfriend.

I brought packed chicken katsu rice regular and Korean beef bulgogi rice regular. They were delicately packaged to prevent spillage. I had them in the hotel room, and both the chicken and bulgogi portions were very satisfyingly generous, and incredibly delicious.

We have collected 4 large pots of Chicken Teriyaki and we are very disappointed with the amount of filling against the amount of rice. The rice is 85% pot and the remainder is 10% vegetables and 5% chicken. We have used other branches and the quantity of filling in Eastbourne is shocking for the price of the dish.

Went there at 7.30 it closes at 9 had 2 regular dishes to be told there not many noodles left so I said it's OK I have some more chilli chicken to be told no . No reduction in price. They do mix and match but not on what you want poor service no customer service

The best sushi in Eastbourne and it’s actually a really good price. The hot food is amazing too and the service is always great! I really recommend coming here but when it’s busy it’s hard to find a table inside as it’s quite a small space, other that this is an amazing establishment

Very bad service (the young female worker, the one in the front at the cashier) if you don’t like your job, then quit with all the attitude and tone of talking are very rude. She also serve us food in an impolite way by putting the bowl too hard on the table. We’re here to travel and saw how she service, very disappointed.

Korean dining in the heart of Eastbourne. Ready to go Sushi is available from the fridge. Hot food such as sweet and sour chicken is from the counter. They go in regular or large bowls with rice or noodles or a mix. Some seating inside and in good weather a couple of tables outside on the pavement. Fast food at a god price

Food generally tastes great although they don't have the variety that other Kokoro restuarants do.

Had some food from this restaurant as a takeaway this evening. The food was absolutely relish and was a good balance of chicken & rice. Will definitely be ordering again.

Delicious Korean/Japanese food with friendly service.

Came in during closing time, the staff was still incredibly friendly and as someone that works in hospitality I can understand how difficult that is, especially when you’re ready to close up and go home. Left feeling very happy and grateful

Sushi was meh.... in my opinion. Lacked the lovely fresh flavour I associate with Sushi from another chain It.. was quite disappointing. Tuna was definitely lacking in quality, and in some of the boxes on display looked like a pice had been cut off a gristly corner. Can't comment on the other food. Service lacked the smile and spark that would entice me back.

One male staff member always makes you feel like you're taking too long and comes across rude. All other staff members are really nice and friendly. Katsu Curry can taste quite watery at times

young girl on shift today during lunch is an absolute credit to Kokoro Eastbourne. She was able to fluently communicate in sign language making sure my dietary needs were being met. Such a pleasant experience, made my whole day!

Absolutely rip off for your money. Went yesterday to get salmon teriyaki and only 3 pieces of salmon for the price of £7.95.... NEVER GONNA GO THERE. STAFF THAT SERVE ARE RUDE 😠😠😠😠

Tried to serve us meat when we ordered Tofu. Guy serving didn't care, took other orders then came back and retook ours. Dreadful customer service.

Had a chicken Teriaki to eat in the restaurant. Service was poor, no cheer at all. Food was mostly onion with just a little bit of chicken. The sauce was nice so that's one saving grace. The actual restaurant has very little atmosphere in there, redolent of a run-down chippy, very bare and bland. Wouldn't recommend this place at all.

Endroit de restauration rapide fort propre et agréable. On y trouve aussi bien du froid (sushis, moshis, etc…) que du chaud, servi dans des quantités plutôt copieuses et à un tarif correct. Le personnel est plutôt agréable et souriant A recommander chaudement

My wife and I took our 17-month-old son to Kokoro for a quick lunch. It was our first time there and we were pleased with the extensive vegan options. I had the tofu katsu curry but opted for noodles rather than rice as they looked tasty. It was ready in 3 minutes and the regular size was plenty big enough. The carrots were still raw but some people might like that added crunch. My wife went for the veggie rolls vegan sushi and was very happy with her choice. Our son thoroughly enjoyed some spring rolls and chips. With a couple of drinks it cost £22 but worth every penny. The lady who greeted us was friendly and very accommodating, making sure we were happy and had all we needed throughout our visit. We will definitely be returning!

Queríamos comer sushi tempura y conseguimos este lugar, lamentablemente no tenían ese sushi y nos tocó pedir comida caliente, pedimos chicken swett & Sour con noodles y para mi un plato nuevo de pollo frito koreano le pregunté al chico que nos atendió si estaba picante y me dijo que no así que me anime a pedirlo y resultó ser picante, muy picante, muy buen sabor pero quemaba de lo fuerte. Creo que no fue mi mejor día en kokoro.

Fabulous. I wish the older asian lady was paid a million per day, the impression she made on me was very kind, diligent, and thoughtful. Give her a raise!! This kokoro is better than the ones in Brighton. I've tried the Korean spicy chicken with rice. It's chunky goodness with the perfect balance of sweet and spicy. I don't actually have the stomach space to be able to try everything that I'd like to try from the menu.

Delicious chicken katsu curry. As far as we could see, from walking round the town centre, the best food in Eastbourne.

I care about customer service more than the food, Not really good in their language so that they can't understand what I was saying. And really disappointing customer service that spoiled my whole day. Train them to behave nice to the customers.

Forgot my pin and had to go to the car. They saved my food in a warm place and where always kind. I've used them before and they are always welcoming and lovely. The place is nice and clean and the food is tasty. Highly recommended

Delicious food and friendly customer service. As for most sushi, relatively expensive but that does depend on what you have. A very good choice of food both hot and cold and not all sushi. Take out or dine in and central to the shopping centre of Eastbourne. A great place for a quick bite and something a little different from fish and chips or burgers! The food was very tasty and portion sizes were good. Cold drinks are available. There is no table service not that you need it. Would recommend.

Very disappointed. My mum dropped me off here, as soon as I walked in almost everything was empty. I asked them if they could make the sushi fresh and they did, but it took them more than 50 minutes just for 1 single box of vegetable sushi !! It didn’t have a lot of people in there either. I asked them what was taking so long after 40 minutes. They said deliveries, obviously they don’t care about other customers inside their shop. When I got into the car my mum was furious as to what was taking so long. The food was nice but definitely not the wait for it !!

Total con. Servings are tiny compared to Brighton.

Rip off. Serving sizes are half of what they are at the Brighton store. Really disappointed

Tiny portions compared to the Brighton and London stores. Bowls filled 80% with rice, and hardly any chicken. If you are used to the Brighton and London stores where you get a minimum of 50% meat, you should avoid this store as you will be disappointed. I suspect that the franchise owner is stretching portions to increase profits. I will be informing kokuro Ltd headquarters of the breach of franchise agreement at this location.

Great tasting food and friendly service

I have passed kokoro many times since moving here. Tonight after the movies, we decided to give it a try. We ordered chicken teriyaki bowl with noodles, prawn tempura with rice and dragon roll. When the chicken teriyaki came I was not impressed Tiny pieces of dark meat chicken I wouldn't feed go my cat. Terrible taste, terrible sauce,undercooked noodles, the prawn tempura sauce was awful, like a. Curry gravy.the dragon roll was passable, but all of the food was old, not fresh, I'm a great fan of japanese good and chicken teriyaki us my favourite. ..eouldnt even be writing this review but when I said it was not good😘 they refused go substitute a dudhi ( lower cost) they said no , I could not, only hot food substitute... They were rude and implied I was trying to cheat them. Never going back. Horrible food, horrible service, terrible attitude . I'm very upset. I left my meal uneaten on the table. Yuck.

I just ate one of the best Korean fried chicken from here and I will never forget it. It's delicious and crunchy. They have friendly customer service.

It's my daughters 16th Birthday today and she expressly asked if she could have Kokoro as her special meal. She ordered the katsu curry and rice. However, the curry wasn't included and she ended up with just plain dry chicken and dry rice. Most disappointing as she's ordered from you and eaten in your shop numerous times before, and always loved your food. Not cheap either, so you really should get it right!

Never disappoints! The restaurant is always clean and the staff are always friendly. We've eaten here since they opened last year, and it's consistently delicious. Seriously good value for money.

Tried the hot food 3 times and all just gross bits of chicken that have been under a heat lamp for hours. Just had sweet & sour and unless I have been given the wrong thing tastes nothing like it. Made me feel sick so only ate a few bites. All dried up and rice all wet and clumpy...it's a no for me

I've used other Kokoro branches before and this branch was extremely dissapointing. They only have a partial menu but that's probably a franchise issue more than their fault, however despite being early on a Saturday Evening it was quiet and they didn't have all options available as some were still being cooked so the staff weren't on top of it. And the food they did have can be seen getting reheated in the microwave. And to top it off I pulled a Red thread out of my noodles which was not a nice suprise.

Great to have a sushi bar in Eastbourne. The place is spotless and bright as a new pin. I hope it does well. The food is great.

Went to order hot food and sushi. The hot food portion is way too small compared to other 5+ branches ive been in London, the staff who served me didnt even know what sushi i chose and kept charging me the wrong sushi. Also they tried to put the hot food and sushi in the same plastic bag, when i told them they cannot do that due to food safety and hygiene they said it was ok. So i ended up paying extra for the separate bag and the staff tried to put my sushi in a small bag lopsided which i had to ask to be put in a bigger bag so the sushi wont get damaged. Lastly i am not sure how the katsu curry can taste that bad and the sushi rice was lacking a lot of vinegar. If the staff sees this please work on your staff training and service standards and add extra sushisu to your rice. Very very disappointing experience…

For what we got, it appears overpriced. The noodles were stuck in the microwave before serving, which isn't great and for the price is really poor. The chicken was bland and very one dimensional, literally could of just been tossed in tomato ketchup. The sushi was average as expected but the best part of the experience in the end.

Kokoro is my go-to lunch spot. The staff are really friendly and give great recommendations on what to order, and I’m always amazed by how fresh the sushi is.

Kokoro had a really great atmosphere when we arrived, we picked a selection from the freshly made sushi and then chicken teriyaki from the hot food section. (They also have great veggie options) lovely food & excellent customer service. Would definitely recommend & will soon be back for more! 😊

I will not be going back to this branch of Kokoro, the portion sizes are significantly smaller than both of the Brighton shops - not impressed!!!
