Uncle Sams Hamburger Express Woodingdean in Brighton and Hove

This is no reflection on the guys working there. But the food is lacking, the portions are small and is very over priced for the quality and size of meals. The "Biggest Burger" would leave a small orphan child begging for more...

The meat was very dry as if it was per cook's then warm up not very good at all. this was sam in woodingdean.

Want to another fast food establishment and it took forever for food so we left and went to Uncle Sam's. It was fast and the food was incredible. Great job.

This is a drinking place with happy hour s 3 till 7 the only thing that's missing is sawdust on the floor and a spittoon by the bar but it's OK

Not had uncle Sam's in ages as I live away from Brighton. I don't rate the buns at all. The rest of it is as good as ever.

£25 for 2 burger meals, 2 apple pies and mozzarella sticks. A rip off! Went for a Saturday night treat. Burgers were dried out, over cooked and small inside a big bun. Drinks were so small. Served in a small coffee sized cup, not quite an espresso sized but nearly. Ordered portion of mozzarella sticks for £3. Received 3 sticks. £1 per stick, really? Service was pleasant enough. Fries were OK. But be better off going to local kebab place or, I hate to say it, McDs. Won't be returning!

Burger was so thin and tasteless what a disappointment,chips were fantastic, vanilla milkshake was great, wouldn't return because of burger

The food is great. The service is quick & the staff are very friendly.

Depends on individual tatse buds but always yummy food here. Milkshakes as well which seems to be hard to find. Recommend the apple pies. Kids meals do not come with any toys. Drinks are quite small for kids. Toffee shake is the best. And you get a biodegradable plastic straw which biodegraded after use - not like the paper ones which biodegrade in your drink.

For the money I would say the food here is decent, and the service was top notch if a bit impersonal (welcome to 2023). Seemed pretty well organised and they defintely have good hygiene.

Was recommended to us and did not disappoint. Full of flavour and fresh ingredients. Absolutely lovely and decent value too.

Usually amazing food...went there Saturday got home to find I had paid to upgrade to large meals but in fact small (kid size) milk shakes and small chips... we live a good 10-15 minutes drive away so no point going back to complain...not a happy bunny

What a shame!! It’s been years now since I’ve had an uncle sams burger!! Itl be years until I ever eat one again!! Thought I’d treat my family of 7 to an Uncle Sams meal -woodingdean branch-Brighton…, What a waste of money!! The beef patty is around 2 millimetres thick! Dry as u like, the buns are hard!! Chips (used to be fries) are not very good… Such a let down & considering the total cost to feed my family was over £50!! I think I’d rather go McDonald’s in the future for half the price

Just got two burgers and three milkshakes. I received two straws for theee shakes. And the burgers were like they was reheated. The texture was so rubbery and was luke warm. Went straight in the bin

Much better than any of the chains, my favourite Uncle Sams restaurant! All the food is fresh and hot to eat, and the milkshakes are really good too. Really good value and the staff are super nice :)) 10/10 we get the bus especially to visit

Freshly cooked, tasty burgers and polite service. Only didn't give 5 as I'm not a regular burger eater but these tend to seem better than the more well known brands even if you have to wait marginally longer.

Forget McDonald's, Burger King, KFC et al! I tried Uncle Sam's for the first time today, as I happened to be in the area. I wish we had one in Medway! Good news for Veggies, too! They don't just pay lip service with a poor excuse for a veggie burger! There is a separate vegetarian menu and the spicy beanburger is very tasty!

Just Been to uncle Sam's Brought 3 Cheese Burger meals..£21 OMG.. boiling hot chips Cold burger, I won't be coming back again..

Use to love uncle sams but now they have out priced themselves only brought 1 wrap meal 1 burger 2 milkshakes and it cost just under £17.00 will not return such a shame

This is the local burger place to where my 90 year old mother lives and she does love an Uncle Sam's occasionally. So as I am trying to make her happy as she is confined to barracks due to a fall I go to get them for her. The place is clean and the service is quick. What more can you do for a 90 year old.

The food is okay but pricey. Staff are awful. The woman who served me was so unprofessional, confrontational and weird. She insisted on taking my card and taking the point of sale machine away. Silly woman, get your facts right and learn some customer service.

This Thursday I went to the restaurant to buy a burguer and milk shakes, the burguer was cold the milkshake was fill 3/4 away. The girl by the counter was miserable utterly rude, looked at me like I was nothing, What a waste of money time.

Paid £8 for a burger meal but was not allowed to use a toilet.

All star burger was great, perfect ratios e.g. lettuce, sauce, tomato, onion and patty. Chips were perfectly cooked, crunchy and fluffy and hot.

Probably the worst food I've had in my life. Signs everywhere saying the burgers are cooked to order - I think the order for my burger was placed in 2006. It was cold and like leather, the bun was a knackered bit of foam and the chips were clearly frozen and reheated from yesterday. I also made the mistake of having a Coke which turned out to be cola flavoured syrup with barely any fizz in a cup the size of which Jimmy Krankie would complain was too small. Oh and all served by the most miserable bloke you could imagine who could barely grunt three words strung together let alone whole sentences. If I could give minus stars I would. A dump of a place and should be avoided at all costs. p.s. I have no idea who these people are giving the place 5 stars, perhaps they are blind and have no taste buds.

The burgers tasted from frozen every special burger was just a sauce buns were stale milkshakes okish the staff was about as happy as a fart in a space suit. to be honest they must get the cheapest supply of burgers in. very expensive for what we got. very bland. oh and the chips tasted well///had no taste

Used to be one of the best places to eat. Burgers were perfect and so was the price However over the past year or two the price has gone up by about £1.50. inflation isnt that extreme... Not only that but they keep changing their suppliers of buns and chicken. Buns can now taste more on the stale side and the chickens become more of a thin crispy oval nugget than a big juicy deep fried fillet. Dissapointed

Best burgers. Prices are comparative to other Burger chains, you have to wait for the meal to be cooked, but this just means it tastes better. Usually limited spaces for dining in.
