Joe's Burger House in Brighton and Hove

Really great burger & chips. Service was absolutely lovely with super smiley & helpful chef / main guy. Didn’t expect it to be SO good. Will definitely return. Only tiny point was that the mayo wasn’t great… bit tasteless but minor point.

10/10 faultless, delicious food. Have ordered a few times and have also dined inside now. The staff member there at the time for lunch was welcoming and helpful, with super fast service and well… the photo of the burger really speaks for itself.

Overall great place to eat, foods always fresh, staff are always friendly and welcoming.

I was looking forward to trying this place after reading some good reviews, but unfortunately I found the food to be quite disappointing. Firstly, I’m not sure why Uber and Deliveroo orders are prepared at two separate locations. It would have made more sense for my order to come from the Hove branch, as this shop is closer to me, but instead it was prepared at their Boundary Road shop, which is further out the way and meant that the food arrived only slightly warm. The chicken burger was very mediocre for the price—slightly too salty, with no real flavour to it apart from the sauce. The chips on the other hand, were the opposite. They seemed to have no seasoning whatsoever. I had hoped the cheesecake might redeem the meal, but unfortunately, it didn’t. It was meant to be a “baked” cheesecake, but it seemed to just disintegrate in my mouth, and the texture wasn’t enjoyable at all. I don’t usually write reviews, but for a £10+ burger and a £4.50 cheesecake, it really felt like a waste of money. I’m unsure if the Hove branch would be any better, but I wouldn’t consider ordering again.

Delicious burger and good chips

Decent burgers if you eat in but DO NOT ORDER ONLINE FOR DELIVERY. burgers took an hour to arrive and were cold and inedible. Called up and was told it wasnt their problem. Absolutely the worst customer service and I wouldnt recommend them. fifty quid wasted.

We had a cheese burger, a blue burger and fries. The burgers were DELICIOUS! Highly recommend.

Best vegan burger ever! It's huge, tastes amazing, not at all greasy, holds together really well. Had it with regular cheese and the regular sesame bun. Staff really friendly too. Hope they get bigger Hove premises one day so you can dine in.

Best burger place around Brighton?I turned up at this burger restaurant, close to Portslade Station, and was blown away by the quality of the food. Glorious burger, crisp potato chips, and glorious sauces.. Please try this place! Oh, and great service from Ali and other staff. We'll done!

We got the chicken burgers, the fries where skin-on which made them special. The burger was nice lots of salad and a nice sauce. The food was packed nice and it stayed hot until we arrived home. The overall cleanliness of the place needs improvement tho and the white guy was a bit rude to the rest of the staff… but hey, it was almost 11 pm!

I took my mum to Joe's burger house, I order fries a can of Orange and a cheese burger. For both of us, the food was served very quickly! The fries were very nice, but the cheese burger was amazing! Every bit was like being in burger heaven. The gentleman was also very polite, and I also appreciated the olives.

pls read the customers order notes ! The last 2 of my order's was wrong and I even rang joes direct as soon as the order was confirmed on the laptop. And asked them to keep the burger completely PLAIN , yet it still got sent out with sauces & onions in it ! Apart from that , there chef and food is excellent Just hate having to scrap out the burger with added extras I didn't want... Still 5stars all the way !

1st time for getting my order wrong ! Gutted, but managed to scrape off all the bits and bobs I didn't ask for. ,as I asked for my classic burger to be plain... Still, will order again but will ring them to double check next time, That they read the customers comments on the order !

The food turned up stone cold. My burger had half the listed ingredients missing. Used to love this place. Won’t be ordering again.

Chicken burgers were awful, fried processed chicken in a fancy bun with a bit of lettuce, items missing in order - called shop and they told me it wasn’t there problem it was the drivers, who said the opposite! Sent in circles never resolved, rude on the phone and minimal English. NEVER AGAIN

Saw this place for ages and never tried. Hubby and me got two burgers today to take away… absolutely next level delicious! Definitely BEST burgers we’ve ever had!

Loved the “fancy veggie” burger. A perfectly cooked portobello, salty slice of grilled halloumi, and the sweet balance of caramelized onion all married together with a peppy chili mango sauce on a soft seedy brioche bun. The meat eaters raved about the beef burgers too. We’ll be back.

food was fresh and looked great but be aware there was far too much salt flavour in the burgers and on the chips.

portion size was fair. I had a double burger but it was so so salty that it was difficult to eat. the other burger was fine. also got onion rings which were okay, not outstanding. got free fries with order.

I got the Hash Browns (4) which had a lovely oniony taste and the cheesy fries, both were delicious and well portioned. My girlfriend got cheesy patty and fries, she said it was absolutely exquisite. Very happy and Joe was very nice.

I had the blue cheese burger with chips and my friend had the chicken burger, both in agreement it was one of the best burgers we'd had! Absolutely delicious. We didn't plan to go here for dinner but stumbled across it and we are very pleased we did. Good portion sizes, good value for money. Will definitely recommend and come again.

Because of the fact that the delivery driver was over an hour late to pick up the ready order, we had to collect it from the the restaurant ourselves. Then 20 mins later an order for a completely different person was delivered to our house and I had to explain to the delivery driver that it was not ours, he had no idea where it was supposed to be delivered to. I continuously had to send emails to find out what was happening with my order. This is not acceptable and I feel strongly that we should

Fantastic service and delicious food

Ordered the Blue Cheese burger and asked to have no caramelised onions (nearly every burger they have has caramelised onions which I found strange because a lot of people don't like that overly-sweet onion mush in their burger). I asked them 5 times to not include the caramelised onion, but when I received my burger, they'd ignored my request. Additionally, if you've cooked with blue cheese before, you'd know that less is more. Unfortunately, they'd put so much blue cheese in the burger that the flavour was extremely salty and over-powering. Customer service wasn't terrible, but a smile and a little politeness would go a long way in creating a friendly environment that customers would look forward to returning to. The chips were nice.

My food took 2 hours to get to me. It got to us in time for bed.

Dont get the good reviews,second time Ive been, first time the burger was very salty but the skin on fries were nice. Just been again because other places were to busy, burger was average and salty again, fries are no longer skin on, and the veggie burger was like sawdust.

Great Burger hot, tasty, juicy. Vanilla milkshake was one of the best I have had. Not cheap, but a very nice treat.

Good service but unfortunately the food was cold. The chips and onions rings were cold and chewy and the burger was nowhere near as good as they make it out to be as that was cold aswell. It Felt like I just ate from McDonald's when I expected so much better So it's a 3/10 from me.

Wouldn’t order again. Thought we would try for the first time. Ordered through deliveroo a normal burger but wanted to call the restaurant to change the cheese to vegan cheese. To then place the order and to call the lancing branch not to even have a dial tone for their contact number to speak to anyone. We tried calling for over 30 minutes. I even called the portslade branch to see if they would help and they wouldn’t. So I now have a burger turning up I can’t eat

Been meaning to try this place for ages. It totally lived up to my expectations. Great selection on the menu. Personally I had the blue cheese and my partner a standard cheese burger. Both where excellent. Fries good too. No licence but soft drinks are available. Limited eating in. Seemed very popular with the Just Eat guys. Highly recommended.

The estimated delivery time was no later than 9:20 pm it didn't arrive, the restaurant changed the time to 9:35 however it arrived at 10 pm.

Terrible. I ordered a delivery and then notified it was for collection. There was bo way I could get this changed and the restaurant would not help. I have mobility issues so could not go an collect it, ehichbis why I ordered a delivery. Restaurant and just eats were unhelpful and bo offer of refund or assistance. TERRIBLE

I went to joe's burger multiple times while I was in Brighton visiting my family there. That was the best burger experience that I ever had in both Brighton and Montreal(which I live there). Highly recommend!! Love it

I never ordered this food and when I tried to cancel the restaurant did nothing.

Missing a burger, when called restaurant was told to come collect myself, or request a refund via just eat. Not ideal when you have spent that much for a delivery order and one person has no meal. Loaded Fries were cold and overly salted.

Disappointed with the cheesy chips.. tiny bit of cheese on the top and none underneath also had a strange smell of popcorn. Budger was delicious bud very greasy. Probably would not order again. I’ve had better.

Ordered as good reviews but was disappointed , burgers not hot and buns soggy , chicken burger said fried in seasoning but was battered my fault I didn’t realise Sorry guys £32 not worth the money .

I have to say that my burger was the best I’ve ever eaten! It was delicious - I had the cheese burger so good. The chips were lovely as well. Thank you. My only disappointment was that it was delivered by someone on an e-bike so it was not that hot.

Great place and delicious burgers. However, check the real menu on the website of the place as there are discrepancies on the one on just eat. I called and they fixed it for me as the one I ordered, I couldn’t eat for personal reasons. Not their fault.
