Uncle Frank's Takeaway Burgers & Kebabs in Cambridge

Dreadfull place Uncle Frank was nowhere to be seen ! Waited at the counter for ages while 2 staff were having a slanging match in nthe back which i could clearly hear. I was going to walk out but then a grubby looking member of staff came out to get my order Looking at the unhigenic way he looked i had reservations on the cleandliness off the place I decided to go elsewhere ! How this type of place keeps trading i really dont know !

Baby was asleep so thought I'd order some sneaky food with my older son. Food arrived much quicker than expected (via Deliveroo) which would usually be fine but the driver RANG me (almost 1am) and told me he's waiting outside! So...my mixed shish kebab turned up as meats in pitta bread...NO salad or sauces! The fried chicken was like 2 x breaded chicken portions so not as expected. The fries were usual fries. Tried calling the number but nobody was bothering to answer! I gave up and went to bed! Shame as the meat was tasty!

Ordered 11.30 pm No delivery by 2 am Phoned up..no answer....eventually answered and said it will be on its way. Still nothing by 3.30 am When i woke up in the morning the delivery in an old used carrier bag was left half way dowen my front path...looked like it had been thrown there. on examination..there was nopitta bread..no chilli suace i had ordered..a tiny amount of salad which was only stale lettuce and abit of onion (not even sliced). The meat obviously by then was cold and hard...i did taste a bit but it had no flavour at all..was funny colour..like cardboard..probably Turkish Rat..not lamb. Please AVOID this place..its a big con !

Do not order from uncle Frank's own website! I tried to pay by card but it seems they possibly turned the card payment option off! I texted to notify them & ask about it twice, but no reply within 47 minutes! So I foolishly selected cash payment & trusted them. But when the delivery driver arrived, he rang & phone was noisy late at night! He didn't bother to read the delivery note, causing an unnecessary noise & I was trying to be quiet. I gave him the cash & when he went I noticed my chips missing! I texted at 01.18 to notify them but no text reply! I had to call at 01.35 & he was pretending he could not understand me but i think he did as he was determined not to refund chips & delivery cost money! Furious! I said some food was goin to be for lunch tomorrow! I said I will have 2 leave a bad review then & hung up, as had 2 be quiet! £15.55 for one night food now, unacceptable! Do not pay cash & ask delivery driver to wait whilst you check all is in bag before he leaves! Cold food too! I want my delivery charge back & chips money, simple. 90p for barbecue sauce to have with chips yet no chips! Do not pay with cash! Do not tip neither, they don't deserve it treating customers like that. No receipt was given for my cash payment! Write on note on order that you require receipts for cash payments if you do order! Avoid if possible. Update: Delivery driver phoning despite I said on phone I have 2 be quiet & said he's outside with money! I texted back £5.90 as what's owed & said pls put through letterbox, he said ok. As opening door alot of times is noisy plus didn't feel safe 2 open door! He did put through. But, i suspect only because I said I'd write bad review! And after waking neighbors up probably! Inconsiderate company! If you can't read English on delivery notes & the person taking the order cannot write English to text back & can't understand what English people mean, please both go to English classes to learn English!

Absolutely disgusting, so disappointed when I fancy a late night snack I always go to uncle franks ordered a kebab last night and it was absolutely vile. Never again will I have a kebab from there. Opened up my kebab to find a piece of blue plastic. It gets better stone cold and meat 2 different colours and grisly. I’m not a chef but 2 different colour of meat is not going to advertising.

Couldn't have asked for less, the guy was an absolute prick, shouted in my face for salad preferences and when I raised my voice back decided not to serve me for 25 minutes. Appalling, food was sub par regardless

I ordered a delivery at 11pm. It’s currently 2.42 am and my food never arrived. Tried to call several times and get no answer. Called around 00 they said the driver taking 3/4. Delivers. I cannot stand lies.

Ordered a takeout pretty standard order A medium lamb shish and a chicken doner . Chips The lamb Shish was freezing cold , very small with little meat . It definitely wasn’t a medium size kebab ! Pitta under the salad soggy tiny and not prepared correctly. The chicken doner just muck in a slipper . Chips cold. Never again!

Have used Uncle Frank's a lot over the years..my last visit wasn't the best .Very small portion ,not very warm ..room for improvement.

after making my order it took about an hour to come and got nothing but a mouthful of abuse and sworn at while ringing up to get an update on my food. when i finally got it - it was soggy, it was stone cold and dry.

Burger with bread, not even salad or sauce, the kebab was a kind of disgusting chiken rolled in bread, without sauce or salad, disgusting

I wish I could give a negative review! Our order was completely wrong and we rang them to ask for a new one or a refund and they told us to order again? Even though we already had spent the money! We tried to explain that we didn’t want to spend the money again and they muted the call and ended up hanging up on us! Not to mention the quality of the food! Pizza was completely dry, meat not cooked properly, fries just filled with oil. Never ordering from this place again and I hope it closes down!

The delivery was late by over 2 hours and when I called them back to say I don't need the food and that I just would like a refund they said no and told me to be patient and that waiting for 2 hours will make the food more delicious because you anticipate the food more that way, horrible way to do buisness. They also told me that it's not their fault and that it's the drivers fault and that they can't do anything about the fact that it's late. Honestly I want to like this place since this has happened before and I gave them another chance but after the conversation with the staff just now and their attitudie I will not be ordering any food from this place ever again. I would also advice you not to waste your time here unless you want 'delicious' cold food that takes longer than 2 hours to arrive.

Ordered a few months ago but felt it was right to say to avoid this place. Not only were they incredibly late. The food was pretty much luke warm and the only thing i really enjoyed was the lamb donner meat, everything else was terrible and in comparison their lamb donner meat is ok at best. Not only that when asking for a refund due to the timing issues the two times they issued on the Just Eat app went past. Not only this but when looking at the Reviews they're just down right rude essentally telling them that what they think doesn't matter. With Screenshot evidence. Avoid if you can, there are much better places for Kebab's in the area.

I rang to tell them they had sent me 2 bottles of coke out of date! For them To say it’s not there problem and block me 😂 honestly won’t be ordering here again

After waiting 2 hours for our food to be delivered I could not be more disappointed. Our Luke warm food was absolutely terrible. The burger my partner order was so poorly constructed ketchup was leaking out of one side of the burger to the point that the bread was soggy yet the other half of the burger was completely dry. I had a chilli burger that had literally no degree of spiciness to it what so ever to the point the cheesy chips where actually spicier. Which would have been ok if they where for me but they were for my partner and she does not like spice at all. I will never get food from here again and I would suggest that only if you where dying of starvation and they where giving away free food that anyone else should go there. Even then a bin may well yield better food. If I could give this place a negative rating I would but 1 star will have to do.

Burgers were plain and didn’t have the sauces or salad I ordered with them, chips were so soggy they weren’t even edible and the 2 cans of Rio I paid for were no where to be seen! Absolute disappointment

Probably the worst kebab I’ve ever had and definitely the driest chicken I’ve ever tasted. Would definitely not recommend
