Mcdonald's Restaurants in Cambridge

Good afternoon, I apologise for sending this message to begin with however I am incredibly disappointed in the delivery process and refund process McDonalds has. I have called multiple times the complaint call and explained my case and due to the procedure which is set in place was dismissed and left disappointed. I ordered my food to my correct address and the driver posted my food at a different door that had the same number. (Provided are the two doors the brown one is mine). I complained and tried to explain that these address are not dar from eachother the pink one is on james st and the brown one my one is on the address given. In the end if constant calling i went to go knock at the peoples house where the food was delivered and they said that he dropped it off and then came back and took it. However because the picture was taken this counted as it being delivered. Not only have we paid and spent our money which we can not get a refund for we also did not have anything to eat and nothing was done. I am honestly just sad and would love for this to be resolved in anyway it can. Thank you.

I had their ice cream as I can only eat halal food. ice cream itself was very delicious but service was a bit slow.

Usual McDonald's. Beware that on busy nights the clients are a bit "dodgy" to say the least. For some reason it attracts some "particular" demographics of Cambridge. This is why they usually have at least 3 or 4 door staff keeping an eye on such clients. 😉

although it was busy, service was efficient and super quick, food was nice and hot AND JATIN IS THE G.O.A.T!!!!

Can get extremely busy, has 2 floors of seating. Central City Centre location. Has self service ordering screens with language selection in addition to till points.

Food is usually very good. It’s McDonald’s so one knows what to expect. In terms of service, staff tends to be amiable and nice even during busy time. Atmosphere fluctuates. I cannot stop thinking of McDonalds as a place for children. On the one hand, staff makes provision for guards to be at the door, so that’s good. However; sometimes it feels more like a College restaurant-bar. I remember once there was a penis-themed party at noon; which was reprehensible for a children’s restaurant. None other than the party attendees seem comfortable with the situation. And many of us had to move away.

Needs to have some music to add mood to the ambiance. It feels a bit lonely when you're dining upstairs.

Big modern McDonalds. Service won’t be quick. Always quite busy. There’s additional seating upstairs. Worth visiting if you are super hungry. Otherwise I would recommend small affordable cafes on the Mill road.

This was a good McDonald's it had god food and ordered quite fast. It is slightly expensive than other restaurants 😕.

Toilets always clean but gents hand dryer been broken for months but as you exit loos turn left to staff cleaning station out on main floor find small pile serviettes on top shelf use to dry your hands... job done! :)

If you go into McDonald’s it’s okay, fairly fast depending on the rush and most of the time the food is hot. If you’re wheelchair bound or have a pushchair there won’t always be available places for you to eat inside but that’s to be expected during rush hours If you order online expect things to not arrive or send the wrong thing, the amount of times we’ve had to report things missing is actually getting embarrassing at this stage or even seems targeted. Honestly almost every time we order something there is almost always missing, and now the latest is being sent different things than ordered and cheaper things at that.

No gherkins or onion in my McPlant burger after I left a comment about the burgers on You Tube. If they leave them out, I won’t be visiting McDonalds anymore, because as I said in the comment on YT, the gherkins and onion are the reason I like the burgers. Don’t play mind games, just serve the food, and if you don’t put the gherkin and onions in the burger, I am finished with McDonalds, with all that money for a burger, it’s not exactly cheap. Maybe some people hate gherkin and onion, I personally love them - it is all their burger has going for it. They don’t put enough in, I noticed tomato and mayonnaise, but no gherkin or onion. Stuff that place if they take them out, I’ll go elsewhere to other burger places. You won’t get my custom anymore.

Good service at the Cambridge Macdonalds

You guys should get takeway drinks cause when we order takeaway or delivery u give papercup drinks and its damage easily until it’s reach to us . And we have to complain get refund and lots of. For your fault we have to suffer.

My colleague and I both remarked this was probably the nicest McDonalds we’d ever been in. Very clean, food came quickly and the gentleman that served us was so polite. All other McDonalds’ take a leaf out of Cambs’ book! 🍔 🍟

they wouldn’t let me have my food they didn’t even make mine and i paid for it

The food tasted worse over time, and the portions felt smaller. The service is terrible: yes, the order is collected very quickly, but I came once a week at different times and 3 out of 4 times something was mixed up and not reported in the order. Renovations to the building do not help improve the quality of services. We'll probably say goodbye to this.

It seems like everyone is busy, but when you look closely, they haven't done anything. A large group of people doesn't seem to know what they're busy with, and arguing with customers seems to be their top priority. It takes 20 minutes to get an order, even though the place isn't actually busy. If I were the owner, I would fire them all, especially the white woman at the front desk wearing a mask and the black man, who both smell bad.

Very good food, though service felt a bit minimal and some places were dirty, and it was extremely busy, especially for a Sunday after closing hours, but overall, not bad for a City Centre McDonald's. However it was very quick to recieve my food. I somewhat recommend.

Limited vegetarian choices. Luke warm food, Undercooked fries. Uncaring staff.

I came in after a night out and the guy outside said ‘can I see some ID’ before people came in which I knew was a joke but then when me and my friends came in, he followed us to the screen where we ordered our food and kept harassing us and then I consulted another member of staff to which he said ‘I’ll go and talk to him’ in a jokey tone. I then said no, he was harassing us and wouldn’t leave us alone so I’d appreciate if you’d take it seriously because we’re just trying to get food and he won’t leave us alone and he’s supposed to be professional because he’s working here late on a weekend. The guy wouldn’t take me seriously (probably because I’m a woman), so I said, I’d appreciate it if you’d take your job seriously (because he had people there that felt uncomfortable that were just trying to get food) and he took it personally and told me to leave. DO NOT GO HERE AFTER A NIGHT OUT, they think it’s funny to toy with people who are too drunk to understand their stupid jokes

Very disappointed, food on floor in various places, tables not wiped down. My chicken m muffin was luke warm and tasted sour..it went in the bin along with the fries. I just wanted to get out and I normally love a McDonald's. I subsequently had an upset stomach I blame a poorly heated chicken meal.

very fast turn around mc donalds. busy but not crowded. a bit hidden or disguised for mc donalds. it doesnt stand out really clearly and it feels a bit underground/secret and out of the spotlight of the town center.

Ordered from here through Just Eat - Just Eat delivered on time but the McDonalds messed up the whole order - ordered 3 things and every single thing was wrong. Refusal of full refund, rang them and the service was appalling, they kept blaming Just Eat when they couldn’t get anything right, 3 burgers and every single one was wrong. Worst customer service, wouldn’t listen, said it was nothing to do with them etc wouldn’t replace or accept responsibility and wrong food. Unacceptable and not good enough. Don’t order from here.

Me and my daughter love McDonald's it's always very looked after. And lovely staff.

No decent dip without added sugar for nuggets. All dips that come with nuggets are loaded with sugar and they won't give a sugar less replacement. Nuggets was not great either. Much less salt or any flavour and lukewarm.

Clean and tidy mac's good service polite service.

Sont order a takeout from here, order items tonight, and didn't receive the items at all, or received items that hadn't been made to the requirements that had been specified on the order. Won't be ordering from here again.

Average maccies, lots of seating.

Food was good. Decent size of burger. Patty was okay. Nothing to complain about the food. Service was okay. Too crowded, can badly find a seat. But it is the city centre, only McDonald’s here. Can’t complain. But light is too dim, could be brighter.

Normally order and service is good. Ordered a chicken big mac and was given a big mac. In too much of a rush to come back, quite disappointing.

Food was what you’d expect of a fast-food restaurant, the service was okay, but loads of people were shouting really loudly and some were throwing food around, not nice.

If only more McDonald's were like this. Staff very helpful and polite helped us get our baby buggy upstairs. Food hot, including the fries, and tables cleaned promptly. Could not find fault considering it was incredibly busy. Would recommend.

The food was on point. The service was friendly and professional. The atmosphere was welcoming.

Too ofter I order and my fries aren't cooked properly. It's absolutely ridiculous. The fries have a set time to cook so why not leave it to cook for that time. I so fed up of this occurrence. Also rarely do I get a straw with my drink

Only issue I had was the large crowds crammed into the store. Made it quite hard to reach my order when it was called out. Otherwise was the same as any good ol' McDonald's. I will say, a good circumvention is using table service - it means you won't have to be around the large crowds surrounding the order desk, and you can pick your seat straight away and just wait for your food.

Always a bit of a mixed bag when going to any McDonald's, but a very positive experience this time for an impromptu breakfast with a couple of friends 👍

Food and drink served relatively quickly. Can be very busy at times. Place is pretty clean. Touch screen order points by the door, phone signal can be problematic inside for doing app orders.

A good McDonald's. Easy to access, and exactly as you would expect for a McDonald's. Most ordering is by touch-screen, and there is usually no wait for these.

Well... MacDonalds is Mac Donald's... Have you ever just tried the meat? It tastes like a sponge. Couldn't eat the burger afterwards. However, the service was fast and the nuggets were good... But like genuinely what am I eating?

Burger was thrown together and had to get my Latte changed, as it didn't taste like a Latte. This is the second time I've experienced this.

Self service so can't give that more than 3 bit out filled a corner for breakfast on the run

Very quick and efficient. Easy to order off the app or at the kiosks available when you first walk in. Usually orders come through very quickly and get delivered within a few minutes, although it does get pretty busy when there’s students flooding it, whether that be after school or club nights.

Not often I would leave a review for McDonald's as they are often of the same mold, but I will commend the staff member of this branch. I was here very early in the morning, staff were so friendly food was good, not grumpy about early shifts. I came back lunch hours, it was packed, turnover was quick. The staff was really delegent in their duties, very efficient in every way. Food was served without having to wait long, food was fresh, my burger didn't look like a mess/assemble your own burger 😅, but most impressive of all is the floor team was relentless in cleaning after the customers. Toilets are clean as well. Well done! Very impressed 😉☺️.

Chain fast food restaurant, always have ice cream in here. This restaurant located in Rose Crescent, central area of Cambridge, always packed.

Few places you can go when it is really busy and still get efficient high quality service and the chicken 🐔 nuggets, fries and Oreo mcflurry are so delicious 😋

This plàce is FILTHY tables not wiped clean old smeared food and greasy surface the toilets are dirty worst ive seen for a mcdonalds urine on the floor with bits of dirty tissue GRUBBY everywhere no need for it i highly recommend they shut for a day and give the place a thorough clean

As a tourist I missed seeing the Cajun chicken burger and grilled chicken options, such as the fold over wraps we have on our South African menus. I disliked the dip sauce options with my nuggets. South Africa has a jalapeño dip that pairs well with the chicken nuggets. (It enhances the nugget flavours) Overall, I was satisfied that the cheeseburgers and nuggets and chips tasted the same, just the menu was different and I couldn’t have my regulars.

The assistant manager "Andrew" on duty was rude and borderline racist- extremely unpleasant experience in such an elite institute. We ordered the meal and then some extras on a family day trip to Cambridge. Both their card reader and our bank accounts showed that transactions have been approved. The lady at the counters told us to wait for our food. Our number also showed on the pending screen. But after a long while, we received no food. Other people ordered after us started to receive their food. I asked Andrew who was fuzzing around with one of the machine there. He directly accused me that my credit card fried his machine, simply because the machine did NOT print out the receipts for us. Despite I showed him on my phone that the two transactions were clearly pending on my bank account. He just continue accused me for not paying and refused to provide the service. He looked down at me and spoke racistly about us as being foreign tourists. Since we were in a rash to catch a bus, our friend paid again upon Andrew's request, so we could get the meal. Andrew's attitude and behavior totally unexpected. I have to call my bank afterward to dispute the charges. Completely unnecessary waste of time and emotion in an otherwise pleasant family trip.

McDonald's is conveniently located and the service is quick especially during quieter times.

Always go here for a quick meal, it's in City Centre, best times are when kids are at school, as can get rowdy, Hot food and in good time of ordering. It's easy to find an empty seat.

Zero stars. Placed an order for delivery. Was missing 2 burgers and fries. Essentially 2 people’s meals were missing. I called and they said delivery drivers work separately for them and can’t re deliver. But the issue is not with the delivery team they did their job and delivered. It wa the McDonalds crew that did not put the meals in the bag. Very unhelpful

We wanted 2 hot chocolate in the bitterly cold weather. Confused about the waiting system. Someone in the queue told us our number was ready, although it never appeared on the screen. The drinks are extremely sweet, too sweet really. Very cheap and cheerful.

My grandchildren and i love a cheeky big Mac on a saturday night. Sometimes it isn’t a very good atmosphere as youngers (especially teens) like to blast music, smoke effy bars and make huge disruptions to people who are trying to eat their food. This makes my grandchildren and i quite frightened and feel unsafe. One boy is in there a lot! His name begins a z and he is very tall! Please sort this out thank you

The place was good very spacious and many machines to order, there is only one thing that kinda annoyed me. The time the customer in front of me ordered, i remember there are 3 people together I suppose they are friends just chatting with the worker in the counter waited about 5 min before I get to pay, I understand chatting with other people is necessary but you shouldn’t take so much time fooling around during rush hour. And from what I have seen they ordered was only 1 mc flurry each… other than that my items arrived in less than 5 min which is very good. Need to improve with the employees

Rude girl on the service desk yesterday. I appreciate she was probably ran off her feet but the attitude she had towards the delivery drivers is shocking.

The food was as you'd expect for a McDonald's, the restaurant does get rather crowded as there aren't many McDonald's in Cambridge and they are very popular. I have had a recurring issue with their self ordering machines not printing receipts but beyond that they always get my order right and I have no other issues.

Manager started screaming at customers who asked why their orders were taking over 30 minutes to fulfill

All in all a convenient place to have some fast food.
