Ver bad food. No taste, not even cooked. Why serve this food to people who are hungry. Very pathetic. Waste of money and time. Learn to cook first

I ordered from this restaurant through Deliveroo, and it was one of the worst food experiences I've ever had. The food arrived with a terrible smell that made me immediately skeptical. When I opened the containers, it was even worse—everything looked stale and unappetizing. The taste was just as bad as the smell: greasy, bland, and clearly made with low-quality ingredients. To make things worse, there was a slimy texture to some of the dishes that was downright disgusting. I had to throw most of it away because it seemed unsafe to eat. I can’t believe I paid money for this awful experience. Avoid this place at all costs if you value your health and your money. Never ordering from here again!

It's ok. The cheese burger is ironically better than the chicken burger. When I order I ask for leg pieces as breast pieces are always dry, but my requests are never listened to. The taste of the food is ok. I order from here out of convenience more than anything else.

The fried chicken I had absolutely did not taste like it was made anytime soon. It was extremely greasy, salty and absolutely did not taste fresh. And i have no idea why a dingy place like this is priced similar to popyes or kfc, doesn't make any sense. Would never come back.

Rice portion was too small and very dry. Ordered hot chicken but it was very mild.

Well flavoured and cooked chicken wings and Fries. Not bad a late night order. Ordered via deliveroo. Food arrived sooner than expected. Overall brilliant service and food.

Best London style fried chicken. A bit heavy on the salt and very expensive but it’s the closest thing to London you will get!

My go-to place for take outs! They give a lot of fries, the burger is big and tastes really good! I usually get chicken strips and they’re always so crunchy and tasty. I love this place, 100% recommend it to anyone who loves chicken :)

I ordered at 16:27, it still hasn't arrived at 18:00. I ordered through their website, it would have arrived quicker if I had ordered via UBER EATS.

Used to be ok about a year ago. Now it’s just too salty and often undercooked chicken. Sad to see this place gone.

It’s nice to have consistency and they constantly miss something off your order which the driver will be disinterested in. My last order was missing a can of tango. 8 Luke warm peri peri wings, chips and a warm bottle of tango £18 please. I emailed Customer service who wanted to know what order it was even though I clicked report an issue with this order. It’s all theft.

I'd give zero star if there was an option Dining in Peri peri chicken came out cold. Grill to the table less than 10 seconds, the rice they use is microwaved. As soon as I heard the "Ping" from the microwave I knew it. Presentation was awful Got my meal changed for a fillet burger, that was worse, dry and chewy. Never again. Saw Matt from food review club, review this place. Now I'm thinking maybe it was different one in Cambridge. Bhaisab okhol stop cutting corners

Disgusting customer service left off a missive bottle of drink on my order when called asking to deliver they said 20 mins so partner went to meet them and no show. And the food has upset both so us today.

Low brow fast fried chicken, the @restaurant is dirty and the business is mainly catering to delivery. Chicken was greasy and the crumb came off to reveal a white barely cooked grease joint of flavourless delish, apart from this all is recommended.

We order from here very often So just order from here the delivery come got all 4 meals that I ordered I was missing my spicy chicken wings when I rang up and explained they where miss out they called me a lier as they where in there as the person on the phone put them in there they said they can't do nothing im was not aloud a refund on the wings and they would not bring me any out this the last time I will order for here

Ordered at around 9pm. It arrived in good time. However, the food was disgusting. The wings and chips was refried again. You can see how crispy these chips are. Both wings and chips was just filled with oil. So much grease.

Had a delivery because it had 4.5 stars on Uber eats. Fried chicken and wings came so salty that they are unenjoyable. Someone must have slipped too much salt in the flour blend. Flavour should not be equated to dead saltiness.

Good and small restaurants. ...only couple of seats available. It's better to takeaway. Good one next to McDonald's. Nearby KFC and Domino's are available to...located near to the Cambridge railway station. Food taste is good..price is same as McDonald's. Taste is ok not that better..patty doesn't taste that good...quantity is fine for single person. Ambience is ok..not that preferable. If you are visiting Cambridge give it a try.

Been a loyal customer for years, chicken cottage was a childhood favourite but the quality has been decreasing so much to the point where me n my family can’t go back anymore. Save ur money

I placed an online order for ASAP delivery and after an hour had to call them to ask what us happening as the food was not delivered yet. I've been told it will be with me in the next 20 mins. When I opened my delivery it occurred that the chicken I've ordered was way much too salty. It was impossible to eat it.

Be careful when ordering, check your order and mention exactly what you would like or you would end up like me with 2 backs and wrong soda. When you call the answer is we give you what we have available in store

Value wise, this was not bad at two meals for £10, but I'm afraid the quality is just awful. The chicken is very chewy and rather tasteless and the chips are really poor. I ordered Vimto as the drink and received 7up and then was only provided with one mayonaise and one ketchup between two portions (though there were two small pots of Peri Peri). It's not the worst thing in the world, but lets be real. Cambridge has countless reasonably priced takeaways 10x better than this.

Order led 5 chicken wings and breaded chicken burgers. Both meals on delivery arrived hot and cooked perfectly. Chicken was cooked to perfection, nothing was dry and everything was fresh. Well done 👏

Broken table, "plain" cheese burger I ordered, won't be going here again as you clearly cannot remove things from items.

15.12.2022 I went to eat at 18.00 in the evening, because Hasan, the employee of the workplace was unfair to the delivero driver, he made me wait for 10 minutes and insulted him, I will not go again, terrible people, very disrespectful employees

I enjoy my meals every time I order from this restaurant. Good portion sizes, well priced and good quality food. Never had a problem with them.

Just had a delivery and I am shocked! Fillet burger had rotten lettuce, fillet was a strange grey colour and smelt awful, corn cob looked like it had been made yesterday and sat under a heater for hours.... absolutely disgusting and unbelievable that they would allow this to leave their establishment! I will spend the rest of my days telling people just how terrible it was!! And I have pictures to back up everything I have just stated so please feel free to contact me and I will happily provide them for your viewing.....

Ordered as a takeaway while at work, 11 pounds for a whole chicken and chips (with a voucher of course)... chips were lovely and the chicken was of good quality as well. May have to order some more 😅

They serve very tasty chicken and I like their rice side dish. Food is very flavourful as well. I recommend for anyone in Cambridge or visiting Cambridge. Decent place overall.

My husband and I both had half chicken in the Cambridge restaurant.. We have nothing but excellent feedback.Food was very tasty and we received excellent customer service from the GM Paul. Was very impressed to see him clean the counter and tables also, sweep up outside the shop! We don’t live in Cambridge but visit now and again, will definitely be returning for their tasty chicken, well done Paul! We were very impressed.

Shoutout to the delivery driver (Silver sedan car) who arrived earlier aswell as hoped for me to enjoy the food. Real nice. As was the food- flavoursome and just overall yum. The 2 wings that they gave were pathetically puny but other than that it was good grub..

The experience was really good. They have a really fast delivery service. Also the food is value for money since they are giving a large portion. Less waiting time. Delicious food. The meal deal is really a good option to a quick lunch.

Spent nearly £18 on 2x chicken burgs meals and extra chicken wings, and they dont even have the decency to check burgers of all sauces within the burgers before they push out the service. You'd expect the basics when being charged like city and top end places. Very Expensive place, doesn't reflect their service or food. Not recommended. 2* because of the chips which were nice and the burger was ok. Wings were dry, hard and salty.

Unfortunately I find this place very pricey, meal prices are more than KFC. They always seem to forget an item and customer service is poor. The place is also very unhygienic, if COVID doesn’t kill you their burger will.

Recently had a very bad experience. I ordered some chicken wings from this restaurant, the package was very bad and food also. Also, I ordered spicy fries but I recieved was plain fries and they charged me for spicy fries. When I complained the reaction from restaurant staff was very bad.

I usually order a Nandos but for some reason they were not showing as a delivery option. Chicken Cottage came up as an option and the grilled chicken looked desirable. I ordered half a grilled chicken and corn on the cob. The ETA came 30 mins. earlier which was a surprise. The driver was friendly. Your website states Contactless Delivery. I was expecting my food to be placed just outside my door but it was handed to me and the 2 metre rule was not adhered to. The driver did not wear a mask. The chicken was warm and the corn on the cob v cold as if just taken out of the fridge. First impression of Chicken Cottage not great which is a shame. Nandos chicken is tastier.

Normalmente hago pedidos a Nandos, pero por alguna razón no estaba disponible para la entrega. Me convencieron para probar Chicken Cottage ya que el pollo parecía deseable en su sitio web. Pedí medio pollo con mazorcas de maíz. La entrega llegó en 30 minutos. más temprano. El conductor fue amable, pero como anunciaban la entrega sin contacto. El conductor me entregó la comida en lugar de salir por la puerta. No se respetaron los dos metros. El pollo estaba tibio y la mazorca de maíz estaba muy fría como si acabara de sacarla del refrigerador. Primera impresión de pollo Cottage no impresionado El pollo Nandos tiene mucho más sabor. . . ¡Es una pena!

Este lugar ha mejorado enormemente. El pollo sabe muy bien, el servicio es rápido. No me puedo quejar. Dejé de usarlo muchos años, pero ahora está mejor administrado. Seguid así.

First off these people need to learn criticism and stop bashing customers on honest reviews. Second off, you guys are so rude to your customers and before you make up any excuses, I’m pretty sure over 100 people complained about the overall rudeness of staff. The food is good I’ll admit but the service is too poor, yes there are some nice employees but most of them are very rude, disrespectful and not very nice people. PLEASE LISTEN TO YOUR CUSTOMERS CRITICISM and stop countering every single comment when people are expressing their opinion.

Alright food however the prices increased a lot, for the quality you get this is not remotely worth it anymore. This was my go to place before they increased the prices so much, a boneless bucket preciously was 12.99 now it is 18.99 and it’s literally the same. What made it worth £6 more? At this price you’re better off getting McDonald’s or something else. Edit as the owner answered: I know the prices as I used to order quite often, why would I be advocating for McDonald's when they clearly do not need it. I am just stating my opinion, no need to insinuate that I am a shill just because you do not agree with my opinion, however what I say still stands, the prices have increased too much for chicken cottage to be competitive. Don't assume everyone is a shill or is trying to take your company down just because you don't agree with the opinion, maybe not increasing the prices by 35% on certain items would be a great start. I only know the prices as I have the order history on your app.
