Uncle B's Fish & Chips in Manchester

I didn't get some of the things I ordered, no battered chips and no battered sausage

Do not waste your money, I ordered fish with rice , they sent fish with chips without confirming with me because rice wasn’t ready. Fish was burnt too. Also ordered mixed stake with chips miled test and no meyo, they sent fire spicy with too much meyo on.

fish and chios are OK. decent for late night, but dont bother asking for salt and vinegar, im certain that option is merely a twisted tease as you won't get any. fish bites were a good portion for £6. triple burger was questionably very spice after being absolutely bathed in black pepper, i managed two bites. 7£ wasted. barbeque chicken wrap was again, very spicy and like the burger, ridiculously spicy for no reason and couldnt be eaten, now upto £12 wasted. ordered a couple tjmes but tonigt bad

It initially showed estimated delivery 13.25-13.45. Then showed delivered when it wasn't delivered. Then the estimate was changed to 14:00, but the delivery was later still.

Didn't get the order...where is it?!Still waiting

All the food and sauces were freezing cold and soggy with oil, the one bite of fish was chewy and rubbery and the sausage had lumps of cartilage throughout it.. we've been unable to eat any of it. I've basically paid £20 for a can of Rubicon.

Chips tasted stale, portions have gone smaller, didn’t add salt and vinegar even though we picked that option. £55 gone in the bin

The delivery driver was very late and then accidentally gave my food to someone else although as some compensation he gave me my money back from his own pocket, however I am very disappointed that I did not get my food this puts me off ordering from uncle bee’s……

Bought fish and chips that was okay bought cheese burger chips and scallop and where they say it scallops it supposed to be in batter but they cut potato slices and fried

I asked and paid for fish & RICE. I got masala fish with chips. I cannot eat potatoes. I have an allergy with potatoes so I couldn't eat any of the food.

I am a regular customer of Mr B's Fish & Chips. Today, I ordered regular fish & chips and the quality was below par & unacceptable. Both the fish & chips were uncooked and raw. I rang the shop to explain and demand a refund. The lady who served me was agressive and put the phone down on me. I then travelled 7 miles back to the shop and spoke to the lady. Again, was being very dismissive and blamed the fryer and the oil for the uncooked food! No apology was given and they reluctantly gave me a new portion of fish & chips. Very argumentative and unprofessional. I do hope the owner reads this and takes my concerns seriously as the staff do not seem to be overly concerned about my complaint. I would give no stars today if I could. Avoid this place at all costs. They have certainly lost a valued customer. Will not purchase from here again. There is so much choice for food on Wilmslow Road, Rusholme so again, avoid this place.

Cold food, late, no updates given to say it’ll be late, I had to call and chase, hotdog hardly had any sauce - it’s essentially a sausage in a bun, chips were cold and not seasoned, milkshake was melted. Never ordering from here again.

placed an order got excepted and was told would arrive by 22:50pm, then all of a sudden it said delivered. went to the just eat app and pressed still waiting for food, then got a new time for delivery at 23:05. its now 23:34pm and just can't help but suggest ring the takeaway, put they have clearly left the phone off the hook so it just keeps making the engaged sound. if you can't fulfil am order maybe don't except the order. The chips was undercooked and the curry and gravy sauce was watery with no taste the pizza was nice.

Don't eat here, anymore. We used to love this place but haven't been in a while. Pricey for chippy but always used to be well worth it. Ordered delivery tonight, no longer true. Thiught it was odd that the delivery driver didnt make eye contact and was gone before id even handled the bag securely, reasons became obviius quickly We had specified no cheese or mayo on the veggie burger using their menu options, still added both. Pale cold chips on a fish supper and with the burger. Wet sloppy and cold fish, thin and tasteless gravy. We threw it all away, not worth the risk, will never go here again. Would give -stars if I could. Shame, this place used to be brilliant.

Cold, grease-soaked mush. And part of the order was wrong. Would have given zero stars if possible because most of the food was inedible.

I got a notification to say my food was on its way 30 minutes later it arrived cold. it wasn't even in a foil bag that takeaways usually use. I ordered mushy peas and got half a portion of gravy. I'm livid. they won't even answer their phone as they obviously they'll be getting conplaints

Food was cold when I got it waited nearly 2 hours for 2 fish and chips I understand they are busy on Good Friday but waiting over 2 hours for my food is ridiculous .. I am type 1 diabetic and had my medication for my food which I ended up having some issues due to it being late not happy at all and they refused to give me any money back for my order I would recommend to order 2 hours before you want to eat

Chips were mediocre and greasy, pizza was incredibly greasy, gravy was watery and tasteless, curry was sweet... The only thing that was half ok were the pies and that's because all they need to do is warm them up and not make it themselves. All in all, it was abhorrent and I will not be coming here again.

Uncle B’s Fish & chips earns an R for Respect, food was early within the time frame. The food was very tasty and it was hot. The driver was great too :). Will definitely be ordering from Uncle B’s again A+++++

Superb value for Fish & Chips - small portion less than £6. Not greasy and tastes great - would highly recommend it to try this establishment to anyone who loves Fish & Chips.

fish was massive and lovely just the chips let the side down alot of them was black with bruising, also was ment to be extra chips and i wouldnt say there was aspecially when half of them wasnt edable

Hugely disappointed. Fish and chips hit a little different in the nostalgic feels. So when I was craving a little greasy taste from my past imagine my devastation to pay £21 to Uncle "mf" B for a large fish chips and curry sauce and a battered sausage, to receive something that looked like it came out of Iceland's bargain dinners, and thats an insult to Iceland. Food was long getting here, when it did it was so cold the curry sauce had become gloop, the portion i was expecting seemed more like rations from 1932 and the burnt after taste. Disappointed is an understatment. There was once a time Uncle B was top fish and chips, long has that time past. Never using again.

I asked for no assault on the chips and its was salt in the chips.

Food was stone cold, in polystyrene containers with no wrapping to keep heat in. Sausage was dry, even my dog wouldn't eat it. Fish was soggy and cold. Nothing was edable. Waste of money. Food gone in bin. Ordered because a long day at work and didn't want to cook. Regret ordering now. As have to cook something anyway. Do not recommend at all.

Order was late, driver obviously couldn't read as he was adamant he was outside our building. He wasn't. After locating him, got our food..it was stone cold and our drinks were missing. Rang the takeaway. She said she would speak to driver, rang back on discovering items missing, again she said she would speak to the driver. Told her to cancel our order because paying 31.00 for two stone cold meals with items missing is not acceptable. Order not cancelled and just eat only offer half discount. Being disabled, I am not always able to cook, so to be ripped off like this is disgusting.

Just called this restaurant as my food is 20 mins late. A person answered the phone and stated they hadn't received my order. I gave my address to them several times, and they insisted they hadn't taken my order. I asked to speak with the manager, who then informed me that the driver had knocked several times and had left my phone on the doorstep. I went to my front door while the manager was on the phone and informed them that no food had been delivered to my address. After stating this, the manager cut off my phone call. THIS IS THE WORST TAKEAWAY IN GREAT BRITAIN. NEVER ORDER FROM THEM

Food arrived over 50 minutes late. The food was lukewarm, the chips were soggy and the gravy was lumpy.

I order from ere alot but this time half of my order was missing n when you phone them to tell them they can't understand them coz the phone line is shocking

I ordered a cheeseburger and when it arrived i have found a hair in the chips and i took the hair out and went to show them and they refused to accept it and said you should of have left it in the chips and came, and at the end i gave the food back to them and asked for a refund or a new one but they have refused to do any of that and instead they just said this hair is not from us, at the end i just left the food with them and left the restaurant. What a waste of time and money. I really got annoyed and by their response and this made me do the review.

If there was no star I would put, there was a hair in the food and they refused to admit that it’s from them plus the food looks disgusting as if you took it out of trash can and messed all crashed over each other if you want your appetite to close for a whole week then just look without eating at their food very nasty and bad service 🤮🤮
