The food at Uma’s is absolutely amazing, beautifully spiced and authentic cuisine. A staple in our weekend takeaways. The Dosa’s are phenomenal. Would recommend (and do) to any and all. 10/10!

I recently moved to the UK , and have been to a few Indian restaurants in London and Manchester they are all okay but for the first time in the UK Uma's Restaurant gave me authentic South Indian taste. Masala dosa took me back to my days in Banglore . That SAMBAR is just fabulously thick, tangy n spicy. It was really worth 🤩

Superb South Indian food made extra hot as requested. Full of flavour and will be back without a doubt. If you order from here don’t expect your usual Bangladeshi British Indian restaurant stuff. This is the real deal. Shame it’s not a restaurant

Food was too too spicy after informing not to make spicy and even after requesting, dish was not replaced.

Go only if you want to waste your money, curry was bad and cold. Overpriced for the quantity given and the service was very bad also. I visited when a big man was smoking outside and upon placing the order he directly went to the kitchen and started cooking. Very unhygienic place as well.

Best South Indian and Indo-Chinese

This place is seriously overlooked due to its slightly awkward location but the food is so good! As a homesick student I was craving some home style Indian food and this place hit the spot perfectly!

Wow! I’m sorry but what was this? Definitely not Indian food seriously !! I spent nearly £40 thinking 🤔 of some authentic Indian but it was my first time at this place aswell. But never again.

Highly satisfied and loved the taste of food

The malai kofta was nothing like how it should be, it was completely off with flavour and consistency, the kofta should be crispy. The parottas were fantastic though so 50/50

It's a best restaurant run by an Indian family. The food is prepared after you order, so it's hot and tasty. All the foods are tasty. I liked the chilly chicken very much. They also famous for the south Indian dishes.

Ordered a few dishes (mutton biriyani, salmon curry, paneer, daal makhani, and prawn curry), for delivery for a small celebration at home. The food delivery was on time. Every dish was tasty and made with fresh, quality ingredients. Definitely recommend.

Have been using Maharaja under Mr. Uma for over a year now. As an ethnic South Indian, I can certify this is the best and most authentic Indian (especially for South Indian cuisine) food for miles around Leamington. Have used for takeaways and for parties at home! Cannot recommend enough, beautiful tasty food!

A must try Indian restaurant in Leamington spa. The food tastes authentic and the chef customises based on your preference. It has both south and north Indian options and being a South Indian, this is a go-to place for me. The dining area is not very big, so it is better to call the restaurant beforehand to check for availability if you're going as a large group.

The masala fried fish is overpriced for a very small portion you get as a starter. Disappointed.

Absolutely delicious South Indian food in Leamington area and can be considered as the first option to visit who ever is missing the regional taste. We had Vegetable kofta and dal makhni as the main course and paneer dish for the starter which are blended with exact spices and the sambar rice with was a mouth watering dish. You guys are doing a great job. Highly recommended 👍

It was an fantastic Indian restaurant in Leamington Spa. Its a family preparation so feels like to be in a home. It’s a small shop so big gang is not possible, the restaurant can accommodate max twenty people at a time. However, it’s definitely worth to try it. They do take aways. There are no words to describe the taste of those delicious dishes.

Chole Bhature Made by Aunty Ji was fresh and mouth watering. Recommend other to try Chole Bhature over here.

This is especially for the aunty who makes the yummiest chole bhature in the town. I dropped in just to eat that. Thank you aunty for making my Sunday. I'd definitely visit again. They serve hot and fresh food with a home-like taste. A must-go place!

Lovely food, lovely people. Food very fresh and good. Can be a bit hot so ask if you want less heat! They have a small number of tables if you want to eat in but best to book. Plus bring your own drinks.

A fantastic experience of authentic food from India, fabulous hospitality, eat in or takeaway, you will not be disappointed. We dropped in as a six, on a barge holiday and we were blown away, do not miss this gem of a restaurant.

Very happy I chose chef Uma to cater for our wedding. He arrived promptly at the venue to prepare us an Indian breakfast followed by lunch. Medhu vada, sambar, chutneys, idli and Dosa were amazing. Biriyani reminded me of home. I requested chef to go mild with spices as not all my guests could handle it. Friends enjoyed everything he made and the hottest chutney was their favourite!! He is reasonably priced and we were left with generous portions which we packed for guests and took for our honeymoon too. Highly recommend him!!

Reasonable price and great Indian authentic test. I have tried almost all indian restaurant in Leamington spa but the test and quality of this place is unmatchable. My personal favourite is Tandoori chicken and Kadhai chicken..!! Awesome..!! Keep it up

Always TOTALLY DELICIOUS food, freshly prepared and full of flavours. Everyone at 'Uma's' are so kind and friendly! Tonight we asked the chef to select a bunch of South Indian dishes for four greedy vegans - our meal was FANTASTIC! A little gem, I thoroughly recommend this restaurant!!!!

ordered a masala dosa. incredible and preferred it to Kayal restaurant also in Leamington. Sadly the dosa was slightly cold but I was fine to heat it up.

This place was recommended to me by my Sri Lankan friends. Amazing food, full of flavour and so well spiced. I would definitely recommend, and will be going back again soon!

Biryani was tasteless and need improvement. Pls avoid. Tandoori chicken was ok.

We ordered Maharaja to cater a work team meeting. The food was absolutely delicious, some of the best Indian food I've had in a long time. The restaurant delivered it with each dish clearly labelled to the right team member so there was no cross contamination. They clearly took a lot of care over our order. I would love to visit the restaurant when I'm next in Leamington Spa!

I ordered malai kofta paneer, dosa and chettinad veg curry of which dosa was only dish we enjoyed. Both other curries were tasteless. Being from india i like spicy food but malai kofta is supposed to be mild curry but Maharaja one was very hot and spicy, and i think only spice used was lots of chilly. Chettinad curry was also too hot and spicy and i was not able to eat at all. Chef needs to understand the recipes in the menu and prepare accordingly. Very poor wont ever order again.

Its a no from me. Items were either insanely spicy or bland and tasteless. All cooked well but the balance was off.

Love the food! One of the very few restaurants that offer authentic Indian flavours. We’ve tried a variety of dishes from the menu though multiple orders and have been pleasantly surprised every single time! Will definitely keep ordering again :)

Generally don't write a review however the food was so delicious I had to write one! The Best Indian food by far I had in Leamington. Ordered couple of contrasting dishes & both were absolutely brilliant. It was literally finger-licking! Would certainly like to order again & highly recommend!

Fantastic food! Highly recommended - the food is spicy but that’s expected but it’s incredibly tasty. The chicken makhani was delicious as was the tamarind rice. The dosa is a must! A new favourite and can’t wait to order again.

Food arrived early and was nice and hot. Slightly smaller portions than some places but was very tasty. Certainly spicier than other places which was fine by me!

Whilst the food is very tasty and a lovely menu, every single dish is very spicy. To the point where we had to stop eating halfway through the meal because it was too hot to enjoy. At first you can taste all the flavours and it really is lovely, but the spice levels definitely need adjusting. There are no suggestions of spice level on the menu either, so dishes you think will be mild (like coconut rice) cake with whole chillis in them and were VERY hot. I love spice, but it even I struggled. My husband has IBS and has to be careful about what he eats so he ordered a khorma and coconut rice and left most of it. To customers, be careful; have a lot of milk or a lassi to drink. To the restaurant; please consider how go you’re maki dishes. We’d love to order again but there’s not much point if we can’t eat it.
