This food was simply incredible. I got the chickpea, pumpkin, spinach and potato roti. The flavours were stunning and the bread was delicious. The vibe of the place was so so so cool as there was a DJ there too. Defo will go back and try the salt fish roti. However… service is a bit slow, so keep in mind if you’re in a rush, but honestly so worth the wait

Umana Yana serves not only some of the best roti I’ve ever had, but some of the best food in the city. I always make a point to come here when I’m in the area. I like to get the pumpkin or aubergine with chicken, but have also had and enjoyed other items as well. The owners are very friendly and welcoming and it’s always good vibes in the shop. I have eaten at the small table in front when in a rush, but also love to take them across the street to Brockwell Park. Can’t recommend highly enough, this is a treasured local business.

This place is a Halal Guyanese eatery that is open from lunch time onwards. A good selection of freshly cooked meals with packed meat roti's and rice dishes. Watch our YouTube video📺 https://youtu.be/AZAhuJw2l2I Service was slightly manic of you arrive at opening time, but owner was very friendly, welcoming and made our food fresh and timely. And she dun put nuff HOT SAUCE pun the ting! ya hear! 🇬🇾 Roti's and patties were full of real meat, not like other places that try and pack them with potato as a filler. Quick tip, don't heat your pattie in a microwave as they will come out soggy. Take them home and heat up in oven to maintain flakiness. The food is affordable and located right opposite a bus stop, so you can grab and go if local. Its not a restaurant, however there are a couple of seats outside.

I hate to leave a bad review but the food was terrible. I got two lamb currys with rice totalling to £32, which is alot of money but the good reviews swayed me. The lamb dish had alot more potato than I would have liked, the flavoruing has absolutely no spice (the staff serving did offer to douse it with hot pepper sauce, I prefer my meat to be seasoned and cooked in it) it was so bland for Caribbean food sadly. Ultimately the lamb was sooo sooo dry which I can't stress enough, it was devastating especially after paying so much, and it may as well have been beef it was that bad. The photos in the reviews practically show you how dry it was. The staff and the owner were very polite and attentive, the hospitality was 8/10. If this represents Guyanese food, I'll be sure to steer clear in future

My family is Caribbean (West Indian) my aunty is Trinidadian, my Godmother is Guyanese, my grandad is Indian, my parents are Jamaican. My aunty used to send us to this shop when we were in school and the roti was lovely. I recently remembered this place and decided to stop and buy two curry goat roti’s totalling £31. It was the driest, tasteless roti I’ve ever had. The meat was dry and the curry mostly potato hard potato at that. The roti was not authentic roti with chickpea and it was too small to fold like your supposed to be able to do with roti. I was so disappointed that I had to go back and try them again because I didn’t remember it being this bad when I was younger. But I think it was definitely different people there before. The next time our order came to £41 as we bought drinks and two patties. We let them know it was dry last time they reassured us it wouldn't be dry this time. Well… they gave more sauce but the meet was still dry indicating they are over cooking the meat and the seasoning was so fresh I could taste the pimento. The roti bread clearly isn’t freshly made as it wasn’t soft. We didn’t enjoy it at all. It tasted terrible. All we could taste was pepper and dry meat. This shop got £72 pounds from us for the most terrible tasting roti’s. Next time I will be asking my uncle to make some as he makes it how it should be made or I will drive that little bit further to roti Joupa in Clapham. Such a waste of money. Very disappointed.

I can only really rate this on the food and the service as I’ve only bought food to take away. The roti is amazing, the flavours in their curries is very authentic Guyanese food. The only thing I would suggest, is if you want something specific to call up and check if they have it before you make the journey. I do believe they have GF options but this would need to be checked. The restaurant is on a road that has permits so it driving it’s a hop in and hop out situation!

After occasionally passing here for over 10 years, I finally decided to give it a go after seeing people post about them on TikTok. My parents are Guyanese so I was looking forward to finding a new go to for authentic home cooked food. We went on Friday lunchtime and it was quite busy. We decided to try a few different things to share. We ordered the chicken curry in roti, pholourie, saltfish cake and a patty. There seems to be a lot of gluten free options, lots of different cakes and homemade pepper sauce and achar. The chicken curry roti wrap, was tasty a bit salty but authentic in flavour and is very different from usual Indian curries. There was too much curry sauce and it was a bit messy to eat, should have been more of a roll like a burrito. Good size portion, £11 8/10. The saltfish cake was good but didn't really taste the saltfish and it would have been nice to have some mango sour with the saltfish cake. 7/10. The patty was okay but not memorable. 6/10. The pholourie, was terrible. I had high expectations beforehand but looking at them I should have known better. £4.50 for 7. 4 were small 3 were tiny. And they were more flour than split peas. Very disappointed, 3/10. Overall, I would recommend the chicken curry roti wrap but skip everything else. Prices are quite high which may be because some things are gluten free. Veg patty and saltfish cake had no price but total spend was just over £20.

This is a nice and cosy place. However, I think a takeaway would be more appropriate to eat at home comfortably than to eat in. The food is delicious and very tasty 😋! Nevertheless, there is too much traffic with people passing by, and the cars being too close to enjoy the food fully. The diversity of the food and drink is very nicely laid out with so many choices on display. However, before ordering, make sure that they have the main dish available. The staff was very friendly and nice.

Bought this for the first time in Uber Eats and trust me when I say this went straight to the trash. I ordered three dishes and only one arrived. I called the restaurant and she said it was her first time using Uber so she made a mistake. She promised to contact the driver to have the rest delivered and never did. I had to reach out to Uber to get the rest of my money back. On top of that, the food had no seasoning and the curry goat was 95% potatoes. The roti was hard and inedible. I recommend going to a Trini place for good Caribbean food (or pretty much any other place that sells food in London). I would give zero stars if possible.

Visited this shop at the Lambeth County Show today and was very disappointed. I paid £12 for a curry meat roti. When i started to eat it the filling was mainly potatoes with a few slivers of meat. I walked back and show the mature lady the roti filling and was given excuses about the cost of the stall. I told her that the cost of the stall was irrelevant and my issue was the potato filled roti that I had paid £12 for. She then told me that I was the first to complain and repeated that. There was no apology, no offer of another roti, nor a refund - that's what you call a ripoff. Also at the point of purchase I also asked the other lady taking the card payment for a receipt. When I offered her my email address to input she said there was no need as my email address is attached to payment card and the bank would automatically send the email - really! I can only say it this shop was happy to rip-off people at the show knowing that people would not complain as they are only passing through the show - so are not they customer base.

She told me “No that is a Trinidad 🇹🇹 roti and we do Guyanese 🇬🇾 roti” 🫢 I said I’m Trinidadian and she said “Well no” I’m still confused 🫤. Shouldn’t she cater to a customer’s requirement??? Doesn’t that progress your business further when you. acknowledge a customer’s need? It’s her way or the highway! Well no business from me….off to get a Pattie. Not a good business practice as her statement sounded like it came from a grudge from Trinidadians wanting pumpkin in their roti 😂 🤷🏾♂️

This establishment is facing potential closure in the immediate future because of a loss of passing trade due to communications boxes being placed right at the shop front, which has caused multiple disputes. This a much loved family-run business in South London that puts a lot of soul into their food, and it cannot be allowed to go out of business. Had a mid week dinner here and am sorry but it's just too expensive for what it is and where it is. I the food when it arrived was a good quality but the quantities were small. Went with a friend and we had 1 drink each and bill came to £60pp. This was started main dessert, think there's better value places on the same street for better quality and better pricing. Expected more from Camberwell.

This place has very tasty Colombian food, the price is just right and the plenty of options to choose. I always come here when I visit London.

Очень удобное расположение заведения. Особо похвалить не за что, но и ругать тоже. Все хорошо, вкусно

The Spiazzo Cafe had a great atmosphere and the baked goods were delicious. The entree's offered were fantastic too.
