Reservamos el restaurante el lunes 7 de octubre por la noche, se recibió la confirmación. Al llegar estaba cerrado. No hay comunicación del restaurante. La comida puede ser buena redacción pero muy mal servicio al cliente.

Reservamos una mesa en este restaurante para un lunes por la noche a las 8 pm a través de su sitio web (operable) cuando llegamos (a tiempo) el lugar estaba cerrado con persianas de acero cerradas. Intentamos llamar pero no contestamos. Ningún mensaje por adelantado y solo un correo electrónico al día siguiente para decir que la reserva fue cancelada. Afortunadamente nuestro taxista nos llevó a otro restaurante.

Estaba de visita para una convención cerca cuando encontré este lugar. Comida muy fresca y un dueño amable. Precios muy bajos. ¡Altamente recomendado!

We had the nasi goreng and the umami spiced rice with chicken. The marinated grilled chicken in the spiced rice dish was delicious and really tender. The prawns and chicken in my nasi goreng were juicy and tender too. The portions are big and we thought we’d only eat half then save the rest for lunch, but we ended up finishing everything as they tasted so good! Will definitely be back to try more dishes like their Malaysian lamb curry.

Great food. Friendly staff. Highly recommend if you are waiting for a flight from City Airport. A little gem, well worth the visit.

A wonderful find. Whilst parking can be an issue, we were lucky and were able to park outside the restaurant. Had Chicken Pandan starter, followed by Beef Rendang and Seafood Ho Fun. The food was amazing, brought back so many memories of trip to Malaysia with the rendang. The beef was just melting in your mouth and had such wonderful flavours. In fact could not fault any of the food we had and all fresh. Darren the chef and owner was lovely, happy to chat to us about the food and what we liked. Will definitely be back

Just found this amazing restaurant close to our house. We already ordered twice, yesterday and today because we loved the food. I can say that is the best thai food I ever tried! If you want a delicious and fresh meal, and of course at a very good price, visit Umami! Don’t miss the duck and mango salad!

Staying at hotel due to London City Airport flight and googled to find a good restaurant that wasn't a chain or part of generic hotel food. This was a real find! Fantastic, authentic Thai fishcakes and the loveliest "mum's" lamb curry. Great service as well. If you're in the area or staying at a hotel, ditch the overpriced usual fare and go here

Staying nearby waiting for a flight from city airport, stopped into the restaurant. Really happy we did. Food is excellent, owners are friendly and genuine. Highly recommend this place if in the area, great value for money, don't miss it. Thanks guys for a great meal!

My friend and I went to UMAMi for dinner one evening after they had posted a leaflet through my letterbox. The starters and mains were amazing. We had the Laksa and Thai green chilli with chicken. Also the owners were very courteous and accomodating. Highly recommended!

Delicious food - A stone throw away from City Airport. Service was fast and friendly. Very reasonably priced. We had the Duck Salad, Mee Goreng and Hinanese Chicken Rice for our mains and started with Pandan Chicken (lovely flavours prepared in a unique way). I can highly recommend them all.

The food in this small restaurant is freshly cooked & brimming with flavour. Novices to the cuisine we were guided by Darren, the owner, who is passionate about cooking & eager to share this with customers. The menu is extensive with curries, noodle dishes & salads & I'd have thought anyone could find something to enjoy. We opted for 2 noodle dishes, both very different. As a beginner, the fat noodles were a bit tricky to get from fork to mouth but a ready supply of paper napkins, provided with a smile, saved any embarrassment! Located in a small row of shops near London City airport it looks basic outside & in, so not somewhere for a romantic/fine dining experience. But if you want good food, conversation with a committed, friendly cook & like us, have a very pleasant experience DO NOT PASS BY.

Highly recommend if you’re in the area of the London city airport. Nice staff, a 4min walk from the airport and much better than any of the food options there.

Great find! We stumbled upon this gem while we were staying near the London City Airport and I’m so happy we did! The man who helped us (probably the owner) seemed very passionate about his food and made us a delicious curry and noddle dish fresh to order! Would definitely return next time we’re in the area!

What a fabulous find! We were visiting London for the cake international event and looked for somewhere different to eat. This wonderful little place came up and we were so pleased to have found it. Marvellous host and fantastic food, Ionly wish you were closer.

Enjoys every dish ordered. Highly recommended to anyone who likes Asian cuisine. And Halal too. Chef is a friendly guy and often comes and say hello when he is not busy cooking in the kitchen. Ingredients are fresh which makes the food extra delicious.
