Umami - American, Breakfast, Pizza & Desserts Takeaway Walton in Liverpool

If you only want half your order to turn up, then this is the perfect place for you. I messaged them about the issue and was immediately asked for my order number, which I then provided but didn’t hear a single thing back. Only gets 2* because the food that actually did turn up was good.

Best part of £14 for a burnt pizza, and chips that tasted like old oil 🤮 Burger was nice and the Mac and cheese was the best thing in the order. Really disappointed and would not order from again unfortunately.

Burger and chips were all right. Relatively cold and nothing mind blowing but the real problem was £2 for a tiny sauce pot and £5 for 3 tiny chicken bites as pictured which is pretty pathetic. Avoid the add ons on Uber eats if your going to order at all but for the price is it’s a bit hard to justify for what it is and won’t be ordering again

Very very delicious food and very friendly staff. The price is a little expensive for the food you are eating. For everything else very good. Bon appetite!

The food is amazing absolutely cannot fault the flavours and quality at all. But it’s always cold and needs warming up. I live in City Centre so not far from takeaway it it’s always lukewarm at best when it arrives. Needs heating up in microwave or air fryer. It’s also very expensive. They even charge £1 for the bag the food comes in!!! It was fantastic value when they did 30-40% offers but full price is a hard no. You’re basically paying restaurant prices for cold food that you need to heat up yourself. If the prices were lower they would be the best takeaway in Liverpool by a mile.

Ordered food on just eat, and not only did it never arrived, we also had no contact from the restaurant to explain the delays we had and we never got any contact about any form of refund, partial or not, poor customer service was given and no consideration

This is the last time I order from here. It’s too hit and miss. The food would be great if it was delivered hot instead its cold and a mess inside the box. Absolute waste of money and shit “delivery driver” on a bike 🤯

Say they have delivered your order when they haven't no way of getting through to them on line or by phone wich doesn't help 3 hours waiting for nothing 😑

We both had pizza mine was the Juarez, didn’t think they were very big but when I ate mine I realised it was very dense and filling. Also had the Mac & cheese. Will definitely be going back here

Food is nice but very overpriced, and they don’t always listen to instructions. Ordered on Uber eats salt and pepper chips with no sauce and it came absolutely covered in mayo which I can’t eat so it went straight in the bin.

I got bambino’s tenders and fries and it was really nice . Service is really friendly and funny . The place was clean

Overall the food is nice, I won’t deny that, but it’s just not worth the price. The pizzas and wraps are really tasty and I enjoyed them both. However, the dip for £2 was tiny, and the fries, I’m sorry but I just felt I was completely ripped off. Too salty to begin with, a normal portion of fries is £3.95, which is definitely fair. But I paid £11.95 for pizza fries which is what is pictured above. Apparently I paid an extra £8 for some tomato puree and a couple of slices of pepperoni that only made the fries soggy. It was a major misrepresentation. Not sure if I’ll order from here again, which is unfortunate because some stuff is really nice. Price-wise, though, it’s just too expensive for what it is. Edit: And just to add, because it’s only fair. I ordered breakfast food from here once and it was absolutely delicious. Like, really good. I’ve not seen them on Deliveroo since though so I haven’t been able to have it since. But I would definitely recommend their breakfast food.

only took 30 mins from ordering to collection as were from Runcorn, amazing food and so fresh!!. Great value for your money would definitely recommend.

First time trying here after some good reviews from friends. Food was delicious and fresh. wife had the bacon solo bagel which she really enjoyed. I had the trifecta sunrise which really hit the spot. Burrito was really filling with just enough spice from the buffalo sauce hash brown bites were bang on and the biscoff pancakes just finished it off. If I had one small complaint it would be my cup of cappuccino was half empty. Other than that a perfect start to a Sunday.

Don’t know what it is we’ve these new burger gaffs but why do they think it’s acceptable to empty the entire content of a salt shaker all over ur chips haha can’t even eat them proper salty felt like ide been draggin me tongue across a horses salt lick after one or two of them and burger was smaller than a Maccies basic saver menu burger absolute rip off disappointed heard good things about this place

This place is ridiculous the stuff absolutely should not be working in there. I am foreigner delivery driver I go to collect my order from there they give me empty bag I said it look like nothing inside they said no that's what she orders . So I had to do 3 miles with the empty bag on me wen I get to customer she open the back she found the nothing I was shocked So I said to the customer going back to the shop again and get you your food when I get there I found the laughing on me I said why you give me empty back and thay was hahaha and I was pissed off tell them to make the order the customer is angry that salt me for talking about the orders empty bag this world is devil crazy 3 miles with normal bik and I have to another 3 miles to get bk to shop to get peat up I just want the manager number I keep calling them from different phone numbers they cut me off when they know it's me.

The best in town! I watched Rate My Takeaway and based on Danny's review, I had to give it a go. Although I'm based in West Sussex, I was home in Liverpool to see family. A dedicated trip to Umami didn't fail. I went for the Hot Squeak and it was amazing!! The patties were so delicious and the skin-on chips, were nommy. The staff were so friendly as well. I've told other members of my family to visit when home in Liverpool. I know they'll love it!

Fantastic place this, the hunter burger is a beast!

First time going yesterday before the game and really glad we did. Friendly and welcoming staff, fast service, superb taste and incredible portion size! Will definitely be coming back. Two of us had the scouse burger and salt n pepper chips, and the other had the bbq chicken wrap. Can’t wait to visit again. Highlight of the day after the Blues let us down again sadly. Keep up the great work!

Food was fine. This however was the ‘thick cluck’ which is the opposite of thick. Essentially a large chicken mayo.

Never normally fault this place, but from ordering to receiving my food today was 90 mins. Delivery time got pushed back constantly and by the time I received my food, it was freezing!

dont be a lemon like me and check you choose delivery lol understanding that i made a mistake and kept it warm while i rushed over to collect. this was our 2nd order and its so good

My girlfriend has ordered here a couple of times. One time has been great but then the second time, her Halloumi burger wasn't the best. It was a bit burnt. My pizza, however was delicious. It's a bit pricy but it is worth it! We would quite happily order from you again!

Breakfast is lovely. We usually get the porridge which is really nice with the chocolate sauce and golden syrup. Tried a bagel today and it was so nice I had to write a review. The bagel was so soft and the bacon and egg were cooked perfectly. Hash brown bites are addictive too. Highly recommend :)

Food was great as always apart from the delivery driver spilling the coffee everywhere and the bagels being hard. All quality food apart from that.

i'm the Jeff regular from ubereats, absolutely obsessed honestly 😭❤️ food is always the same each time perfectly cooked and flavoured. the breakfast holy sausage is hands down the best breakfast bagel ive ever eaten the egg perfectly runny, the hash brown bites are so flavourful! the mac and cheese and chicken are always perfectly sized and not greasy whatsoever. always fast prep time, i cant get enough and i will always keep coming back 👹

The imagery on JustEat looked more appealing than what I received. I ordered the square Buffalo Soldier Pizza, which contained 8 chicken bites with ranch sauce drizzle on top. Upon close inspection, it was obvious that the thick base had been cooked on a previous occasion with the tomato base sauce - for this order, all they did was reheat the baked pizza base, added the chicken bites with drizzle sauce (the only two key ingredients that I would consider fresh). I ended up eating the chicken bites and thrown the rest of the pizza away and for £15 (and thats with £5 off discount), its certainly not worth the price. I can only hope that their burgers are much more appealing than their pizzas. Never again!

Nice and clean , nice food. Unfortunately it is very small inside so it's better to order for takeaway.

First time I ordered from here it was so nice and I recommended it to loads of friends but today it wasn’t at all. It was cold the sausage patty was barely cooked same with the egg and the bagel felt/tasted stale. Shame man 😞

Wow!! Incredible breakfast. Next time you're thinking of getting a Maccies breakfast, spend a little extra and go here instead. Only downside is the cans of drink are criminally expensive.

On a visit for an overnight stay in Liverpool from Birmingham. Breakfast was great! Huge shoe box type food boxes with tasty ball style hash browns-we have brought some back to Brum😀 really filling. Wanted two of the meals without egg and this was acknowledged 👍🏾If we visit Liverpool again I already know what I'll be having for my breakfast.

When you pay £10 for chicken bacon hash bites I expect chicken and bacon not 3 tiny pieces of chicken and no bacon. Not acceptable really when I’m spending £30 on ordering and come into the shop lots to order.

Delicious food every time, no matter what they put out it's🔥 the great thing about it is I've been here 20+ times and the food stays the same great quality. They will not rush your food out, if its not up to scratch they won't serve it. They have such an eye for quality that its unheard of. They get very busy over the weekend sometimes I see like 10 orders every 5 minutes fly out. The staff are super friendly they keep up updated on how long it's going to be, they make conversation and treat customers with respect. I've never been to a place that can pump put this quality every time.

Never leave reviews but I couldn’t not leave one for these I’ve tried their burgers and they were absolutely unreal, honestly nicer than some burger restaurants in town. Their breakfast menu is next level, nicest breakfast ever and portions are huge. Value for your money!

Never left a review before but thought these deserved it. I was craving Mac and cheese and oh my, they did not disappoint! Dip it into their ranch and honey mustard dip and it’s so good! The pizza was unreal too, will deffo be going again especially on Everton match days!

Ordered here lastnight on a whim, and was blown away by how good the food was! I'm not exaggerating when I say this was the best pizza I've eaten (including in New York and Chicago), and the Burger and sides were all fantastic too. Ordered again tonight because I'm weak and wanted to try another type of pizza, there was a small issue with the Deliveroo driver giving us the wrong order and not only did the girl on the phone deal with it quickly and professionally (as opposed to most fast food places that want your life story and a 360 degree slowmo of the food to prove that the order was wrong) but the manager drove the correct order to us and we had the food, hot, within 15 mins. On top of that, the mac and cheese bites were also the best Mac and cheese bites I've eaten, and I eat Mac and Cheese bites way more than I should. Wife is currently loving her wrap. Cheeseburger fries are phenomenal. One of my kids is smashing a milkshake, which I'm going to pay for when I try to put her to bed in 20 minutes. Honestly pretty blown away by Umami for both food and service. Give them a try, you won't be disappointed.

We had a bad time dealing with Deliveroo the delivery took an hour when they say it would be 30 minutes. When it came the pizza and garlic bread were missing. The girl I spoke to at umami was amazing, really helpful and sorted our order out for us and we got our full order hot and fresh and was as lovely as always. So thank you guys 🙌

Through no fault of Umami, uber delivered our food the the wrong address and refused to refund me! I messaged Umami with the situation and the service was incredible. They offered to remake our food (we collected this time!) the staff were so lovely and the food was insane. I cannot recommend them enough! We had the wrap god (hunters wrap and pepperoni fries) , a bueno milkshake and a properoni pizza! Definitely pay these guys a visit they are amazing! Thanks again for being so understanding and going out of your way to help us out! ❤️

Absolutely fantastic food. The delivery time was brilliant too, within 10 minutes the driver was picking up the food and it was on the way. The fries were truly the star of the show. Beautifully seasoned and crunchy with every last bite. The beef quality of the burger was wonderful. And the cookie dough was AMAZING, all I could do was sit in awe when I first tried it. This made my night this did. Well worth the money.

I’ve sat in and eaten from here plenty of times and there is no difference from in person to delivery absolutely amazing, changed my loaded fries free of charge and the portion size was massive. Permanent customer right here!
